But survivors are also hindered for 0.25 seconds!
-
I'm leveling him up solely to serve my zombie masters.
Ive played about 7 games as survivor against him today and zombies disrupted gen progression more than he did.
They block windows, hallways and gens like a high school bully.

You are Hindered for less than half a second.

Oh. Well that's kind of useless isn't it? The tentacle animation lasts longer than that o.o
-
I think it's hilarious they immediately took down the new map on the first day.
Like bro, that's a huge chunk of the dlc lmao. Not very professional.
-
Does infection cause hinderance?
He has an addon that says something like moderately increases hinderance caused by infection but there isnt a notification that shows you are hindered and you don't appear any slower.
-
Literally juat played the new map on pc about 15 min ago, no offerings.
-
People DO use it. It's not a meta perk by any means, but it was a nice option to combat the plague that is keys.
I've had several matches where I've got 4k with Franklin's because the survivors simply REFUSED to let their precious keys disappear.
-
Oh boy lets get ready for keymagedon part 2 as survivor mains flex their untouchable keys like they did when chests were bugged!
-
Glasses and black heart were widely used because it made demo feel GOOD to play. I don't think they were game breaking or over powered but rather made demo more tolerable to play.
His other addons still arent very good even after his addon pass.
-
Demo addons nerfed why? He was actually tolerable to play and fun to play against :/
And Franklin's is now garbage. The only reason people uses it was to get rid of keys...
-
I used to think they were the most annoying killer, but them I started playing them. Instantly fell in love and now I main them.
-
I only got the chance to play solo survivor during the day time which historically has always been when I get the best survivor games anyway, so I really don't know if mmr was working or not.
Lord knows solo needs all the help it can get.
-
If you spot each other just stand still and swing at rocks or trees or whatever repeatedly. They'll get the picture in a few seconds.
-
Midwich and the game tied for worst. Haddonfield close second

The higher ping is almost always prioritized and that's just a fact, I believe there is enough proof to show it. However I don't think it has much to do with ping honestly, whenever I've had really bad latency issues where the killer hits through pallets and other crap like that mine and their ping has never been that bad, I think it's an issue with distance. If I'm playing with someone thousands of miles away it will always favor the killer.
It's probably a combination of ping, janky hitboxes, and killer action priority from when the game was p2p.
I'm in a similar situation where I'm between 50 and 70 ping nearly all the time yet I'm constantly getting hit after touching the ground for pallets and window vaults, sometimes even taking a step or two away.
Servers was supposed to address nearly all of these issues, but here we are years later and people are still having these problems.
-
It's still a pretty bull sh*t addon tbh, especially with the absolute bonkers hatchet hit boxes. It's better now that you cant semi spam them but I'd rather just have them removed honestly.
Pinky finger is in this category as well.
I'd rather just move along to the next match asap when someone uses these addons.

When testing the recent SBMM I went on how the matches felt, was my skill equal to that of the survivors in my game etc. Due to end screen ranks not being in anyway connected to skill, I pretty much ignored what ranks were shown.
Players really do need to have some kind of indicator of what our score/rating/bracket is.
-
Clicking on huntress or deathslinger is the best chase perk.
Seriously though, bamboozle is ok.
-
My only issues with twins right now is how janky their switching power is in some parts of the map. I realize you can't do it close to objectives but it's very awkward in a lot of areas.
I'm actually ok with the stun time. Survivors have a really hard time kicking victor anyway so it kind of evens out.
-
It's beyond stupid. That entire building is now super abusable by survivors.

That’s the point.
“Leave my teammate alone. I’ve given you a free hook. If you don’t pick me up you’ve wasted it because I can revive myself.”
I get what the play style is, its just no mither is just so...bad in my experience no matter how people try to play it.
If you don't have ds, you're pretty much giving the killer a reason and opportunity to tunnel you out of the game asap. And even if you do have ds and get to use it, it's typically easy enough to just redown them and get hooked again, or you remain useless for the entire 60 seconds.
The other perks that help it such as resilience are great in theory but you're eventually going to go down, and with the single health state it's going to be faster than normal.
No mither users get picked up instantly by killers who are paying attention so I wonder if there is actually any benefit of time savings as opposed to using other more meta perks to help you stay up longer.
-
A lot of people just don't pay attention which leads to this kind of behavior, especially in solo queue. Unfortunately, you will nearly always be paired up with these people.
-
No. The switch to and from victor is already wonky as hell in a lot of areas. They're fine as is.
-
I play pc and it seems it's pretty even in terms of pc vs console player amounts
-
For people who have main killers, or a couple, it's going to be miserable due to the sweatlord squads at high rank (unless your good with nurse or spirit).
I know people like to blow off streamers a lot but Scott jund made a video very recently about this and it's 100% correct.
-
Meanwhile I'm having a hard time NOT revealing him if I'm trying to remain stealthy for an unhook. It's frustrating on tje other end to where it's sometimes way to easy to reveal him.
-
I fell in love playing twins a few months ago. The tactical play they employ is completely different from other killers.
-
Ghostface would be gentlemen the entire evening until you catch him taking pictures of you.
-
Bloodhound sucks in most cases imo.
A lot of maps have grass that cover it up despite the glow and if you're seeing blood you are most likely seeing scratch marks, hearing healing noises, seeing other survivors, crows flying, etc.
I dont know why iron will gives a lot of people a hard time. Maps are becoming more open, there's a ton of perks that let killers see auras, there's a lot of other indications of where survivors are, one being just paying attention to things with your eyes.
-
I had a similar experience playing as killer.
Would get some ok teams and then suddenly my next few games was against legit tournament squads where I barely got 2 hooks the entire game.
There was also A LOT of rage disconnects, way more than usual.
Overall I was not impressed. I don't like to play against super try hard tournament squads but at the same time I don't want to handicap myself when I'm versing potatoes.
-
I'm actually not a big fan of her new model. Her current one is actually better imo.
-
I always just shake my head when people say solo queue is fine or isnt garbage. Like do these people even play solo? Are these troll threads?
"Solo queue is fine", as I watch Meg unhook someone without bt, injured, in front of the killers face. "Yup, were going to win this one boys".
-
Eyes and game awareness.
Iron will is honestly pretty niche. I've never lost track of a survivor in chase due to it.
-

There's simply too many variables that can change the outcome of a match for proper mmr in this game. You're just going to punish good killers by giving them the -actually good- 4 man SWFS and punish good survivors by just giving them Spirit/Slinger/Nurse matches 24/7
This right here. Anyone with a lot of hours on this game can tell you there's no way for a computer to quantify if you deserve to rank up or down.
Kills/escapee don't matter when you can carry the team for 5 gens and die at the gate due to noed.

ultra is much darker than low, and low has way less shrubbery compared to ultra.
of course ultra looks better, but this is a multiplayer PvP game and not a single player one
personally i've been running on medium settings since that's the highest I could go to keep a steady 120 FPS, but im going to try it and low and see if it helps with visibility.
what graphics quality do you guys set it to, and will you try a lower setting?
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/PD6IAL0OK637/1ultra.jpg
It's been this way for a while now. Ultra feels like you are playing in a murky swamp where you can't see 10 feet in front of you and I'm constantly straining my eyes to make out anything.
Low is much crisper and you can actually see things.
-
I've had mild success with Oppression but there are much better perks to use instead.
Coup and hoarder I've not used as they seem rather niche and finite use.
-
Mods have zero to do with the situation.
I don't even think they're bhvr employees technically.

Unhooking a survivor with the killer close is a risky move. If the survivor unhook you fails to body block for you and keep the killer from just immediately redowning you, that is a misplay.
It may not feel good when it happens to you, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with bad unhooks being punished.
Also yes I do play survivor. I mostly play solo queue and I've certainly had games where I got tunneled or camped. But those games are few and far between, because it's simply not that common.
Let's agree to disagree then.
I've played about 25 solo survivor games in the past 3 days and I can attest that I've personally been tunneled out asap for about a quarter of them. About another quarter I've seen it happen to my other team mates. Maybe its a regional thing, I don't know, but this is certainly not a rare occurance in my near 2000 hours

You want to make it so that regardless of a survivor's or killer's action, that a hooked survivor will be safely unhooked and can't be tunneled. Because somehow it's unfair to punish misplays or a killer deciding on a strategy to help them win the game.
How on earth is it a misplay by being unhooked by another survivor? The rescued person was already punished by being hooked the first time. They should NOT be double punished (tunneled) by simply rescued.
Do you play survivor? I find it hard to believe someone is defending tunneling people if they've experienced it before.

If survivors have the right to guarantee to be always safely saved off hook, then it's only fair that killers are guaranteed to get kills.
That's not comparing the same things at all...

Tunneling isn't being an a-hole tho, if a killer can get one person out of the game then why shouldn't they? If someone preforms an unsafe unhook with the killer close by then that's not the killers fault its a survivor issue. DC'ing from the game isn't a "strategy", if it was then there wouldn't be a ban on people that do it frequently. Just because you never feel the need to tunnel someone doesn't mean others cant or shouldn't do it, yeah i get that it sucks to be put out of the game early but that's kinda the thing you sign up for loading up the game. You're never guaranteed to make it out alive.
So you think it's ok to get unhooked in front of the killer, no ds, no bt, get downed and hooked again? All within the first couple minutes of a match? After waiting in the awful survivor queues 10+ minutes?
Sounds like a good way to spend my time, hanging in a hook for less time I spent in queue

The killers job at the end of the day is to kill people. If someone wants to camp and tunnel a survivor out of the game to kill them, I don't see the actual issue. It's a PvP game. Sometimes you are just going to face opponents that aren't playing "fairly".
Which is why these threads exist. The pvp game SHOULD be as fair as possible. Solo survivors are people playing the game just like killer and have a right to not get KOed by things they have no control over (tunneling)
-
Lol, gotta love locker doors that instantly extend 5 feet to hit you.

I don't see how that is a problem that would justify making two strong survivor perks basekit.
I get you may not like tunneling and/or camping, but they are still valid strategies.
Camping isn't a problem...as long as you aren't trying to down and rehook the person on hook as soon as they come off. That's the issue people have with it; people camping to down the hooked person again which is also tunneling.
Tunneling is just being an a-hole honestly. Sure it's a "strategy" in the same way people will dc to give team mates hatch.
I play killer about 75% of my time with dbd, and I have yet to find a need to tunnel someone out of the game to ensure a win.

I agree with Kindred being base kit (without the Killer's aura, I think it'll be a bit too OP), but DS and BT base kit?
I don't know. As you said, it's about knowledge. At this point, just give us a free escape each time we enter a trial.
BT is fine as a perk, DS is fine as perk. If we have too much as base kit, I wouldn't see the point of running perks anymore. The issue is the decisions players make. You'll always have someone who decide to unhook you in front of the Killer is the best idea of the world.
I've been against an Insidious Doctor today. Been in the basement. I ran Kindred. The others saw that the Killer disappeared in the basement... They should understand what was happening.
But guess what. The three of them came to save me. Together. Even with the best tools, the real issue is the decision we make.
I don't think we need too much base kit power.
The amount of times I've had a killer proxy camp someone to tunnel them out asap is extremely common, thats why I suggest bt and or ds (both may be to much perhaps). Kindred alone won't stop that from happening because they'll be just out of range of it.
In a solo squad, one person out early due to tunneling is pretty much a lose. Yes you can technically make a come back and I've seem it but it's extremely rare.

@EntitySpawn said:
I'm sorry but it doesnt matter if you give these players 80 perks instead of 4... if they already refused to do gens, tend to hide round the corner of the map and cant look behind them let alone lead on a chase the perks wont make a difference.
These players are why solo Q is awful, when you have players that physically cannot play the game especially the basics at the rank they're at that's the real issue.
Getting 12hooks at 5 gens isn't because they're solo Q its because they wont be doing gens or belong anywhere near that rank.
Ranking is the issue not solo Q. Solos playing with some what of an understanding is the most balanced part of dbd. Solo Q doesnt stop you jumping on a gen or being able to loop.
I disagree and I'll explain why.
Solo needs Kindred, ds, and bt as basekit. Possiblly bond as well.
Right there would solve a tremendous amount of issues with solo queue.
A lot of solo queue problems stem from not knowing where and what your team is doing and killers who aren't punished from tunneling one or two people out of the game asap.
Having those perks basekit will moat likely enable solo survivors to make better gameplay choices because they have more and better information to work with.
Edit: another major problem is obviously the rank system. Red ranks is polluted with way to many people who should not be there but are because they play the game a lot but aren't nessesarly good at top ranks.

Going against a good Hag makes me reconsider if I really hate going against Spirit the most.
First guy to go down goes in the basement. They're already dead, they're just not lucky enough to speed it up by attempting escape. We all know he's dead. There's 15 traps all over the area and they're never getting out. The poor dude waits the full 120 seconds, and by the time the Hag picks someone else up I get to watch the hooked guy exit the game via spider legs from the bottom of the stairs.
I try to get out, but I trigger trap #16 and immediately go down after the second dude gets hooked.
Last guy triggers what must have been a very easy to notice trap on the Swamp in the grass and goes down instantly.
No one left with more than 10k bloodpoints.
I love Hag.
Yup, 100%. Trapper also does this and is why I despise playing against them both.
Basement vs hag or trapper and you might as well #########
