For once sluzzy is correct. Especially during the evenings, the "no fun allowed" crowd comes out with face camping and tunneling.
-
Just had a game where everyone had cakes, even the killer, and yet he face camped the entire match.
Good times.
-
Probably because not many people play hag. She's not a particularly enjoyable killer to play or to verse.
I've probably seen 2 hag players in the last 2 months.
-
Nope, I literally just played in it unfortunately.
They might as well just have made a map of nothing but hallways and corners.
-
I've completely given up on ranged killers in this game. I'm convinced bhvr doesn't know to handle them to make them fun.
-
I couldn't care less about crowns. I never wore them last year and won't this year. I certainly don't go out of my way to be an ass and deny other people though.
-
I never use those addons since there are much better ones, but it begs the question why would they nerf them to begin with?
-
Hes...fun to play i guess but don't go into a match expecting more than 1 kill.
I personally wouldn't use shards on him unless you have absolutely nothing else to buy with them

I didn't have any problems on my end. PC player and everything seemed to run just fine with it.
It's not the performance it's the map itself. It doesn't lend itself well at all to dbd game play.
-
Agree it looks amazing but its absolutely horrible to play a match of dbd in.
I didn't think it could get worse than midwich but ohhhhh boy...
-
Claire looks like she's been awake for 4 days straight running on nothing but caffeine and cigarettes.

Depends on your idea of fun or winning. Is it a 4K easy game? I know for most killers it is. Maybe focus on 2 escapes, 2 kills and try and have fun. It’s a video game after all, which we all need to be reminded of.
Easy as in ill be happy if I get a handful of hooks. I have no intention of getting more than 2 kills when playing trickster because it's not likely to happen.
-
Yeah he's actually not bad to play in terms of feeling, but man does it feel like playing huntress in slow motion. Then suddenly you realize there's 2 gens left and you've only downed one person cause it takes ages.
-
@HawkAyeTheNoo said:
Great, you can be facing the complete opposite way of the survivor and still hit them.
I laughed at this because it's true, while at the same time youll throw a hatchet over or around some junk tiles or whatever and somehow the hatchet will hit an invisible wall feet away.
Shes one of the most frustrating killers to play as or against. Absolutely needs a projectile rework
-
@MandyTalk are devs aware of this?
-
Because no one likes to read hate from 14 year old cry babies.
-
A bunch of people are right now. Looks like it's having trouble making lobbies or something
-
There's something going on joining lobbies.
As survivor it looks like it finds a match because the button changes to unready when it finds a group and you can't cancel the search.
Problem is it stays this way and tou don't join.
Killer same thing.
-
To bad you can't actually play the game right now. Looks like it can't create a lobby
-
Crossplay on for me as well. I play pc.
Judging from the other threads it's a wide spread problem now.
-
Same. It looks like it's having trouble forming matches.
-
I was just about to make this thread. Can't get a game as killer or survivor.
As survivor it looks like it finds a group but it never takes you to the lobby.
-
I like to imagine some corporate big boss stepped in at some point before dbd went way down hill a couple years ago and said "do these events directly make me money?"
And the devs said "no, but the players like them...".
And then the suit says "lemme stop you right there..."
And that was the end of fun events.
-
Wait till these people get more than 10 hours and start to realize how broken things are.

That's actually false. The coconut thing is a false rumour.
However, TF2 is dependent on a cow texture or else it will crash.
Huh, I mean that's just as bizarre as the coconut thing lmao.
-
I know right?
People need to stop complaining about bhvr releasing sh*t chapters time after time and just shovel money to them so they can release the next sh*t chapter half baked and full of bugs like this one.

Just like TF2. DBD is built on a code of duct tape.
Tf2 requires a picture of a coconut to run correctly, yet it doesn't have nearly as many problems as dbd lmao

Fun fact about the degree of issues on PC, if you have a slightly faulty power supply the initial loading screen when you open the game would either kill your power supply or force your pc to restart due to the sudden rapid increase in frames causing your power supply to suddenly switch the rail the voltage was on in ways no other game does, on a static loading screen, running at uncapped frames, literally overloading your psu.
Now one might say well sucks for you having a faulty power supply, and while that's fair, you could have gamed on that PSU for another year before you even knew you had an issue.
To this day years later there are reports of people having to replace their thermal paste because of that loading screen in their playstation. A loading screen toasting PSUs, burning out thermal paste on consoles, a loading screen with a static image.
I guess the point I'm making, is it's time for a total rewrite, not just a health check.
Couldn't agree more.
They literally need to dedicate like a whole year of optimizing and rewriting the problem areas of their code.
I dont think the majority of the community would mind waiting on new chapters if it means better performance and less bugs.
-
@BioX said:
just wanted to say that I have had this same issue on PC for forever now....especially when a survivor uses DH or if I go into bloodlust1
+1, this has been a pc problem for atleast a couple years. It has actually costed me games.

You are upset like everyone about the bugged patch. But will the entire community leave the game due to it? Insignifincant amounts will. Therefore, they really don't need to hurry up with the fix.
You're right but since they continue to release bad chapter after chapter there's no denying its hurting their reputation which does lead to people leaving since it shows they don't really care about their player base.

You see, you two guys spoke about what would happen to you - and it makes sense, you probably aren't developing a game with a playerbase so big that a few days with issues won't cost you anything.
BHVR has this asset, which makes them have no pressure when it comes to fixing.
I would buy this, except much larger companies with much larger players have released much faster hot fixes than bhvr.
I used to play world of warcraft for a long time and they would have hotfixes within the week at the latest if something was critically broken.

I work in IT, as a developer for a specific piece of software. If I put something out this bugged Id be fired or at the very least seriously reprimanded. And if it took 2 weeks to fix we'd lose clients. Dont try and shame people for being upset. Their feelings are perfectly valid when they paid for the product.
I'm also a software developer for an engineering company. If I released this kind of garbage and didn't fix CRITICAL issues within the first couple days I'd be most likely canned.
There's absolutely no excuse for a company the size of bhvr with the resources they have to release a product this unstable and buggy when it's their only piece of software.
They 100% deserve the amount of hate they are getting.

Saving the good stuff for mid chapter.
I know this was a joke but sadly it's true.
It's been like this for the past several chapters. They break a sh*t ton of stuff and the game is borderline unplayable until the midchapter where they fix the majority of issues until the next chapter and it repeats.
The really sad thing is these issues are getting worse and worse every time. Quality assurance has just gone out the window and they don't appear to care.
-
Half of the patch notes are once again fixes for stuff no one cares about.
Tutorial head for Dwight was wrong? Meanwhile, you STILL can't even play clown because his bottles don't slow survivors down!

I want to go back to enjoying this game. I really do. I know I need to chill out. I know that enjoyment partially is a result of CHOOSING to enjoy myself.
But man... like my Déjà Vu/3 gen rant earlier, I just can’t handle these teammates lately. And sometimes I don’t feel like playing killer.
I’m sorry to be regularly whiny. I hate being a downer. It’s just that I LOVE this game. So I HATE that my enjoyment of playing survivor is being ruined by terrible, terrible team mates doing things such as;
- Leading a chase to a gen being worked on.
- Or back to, or nearby, a hooked survivor. (or a slugged survivor).
- Survivors quite literally doing nothing. NOTHING!!! Yes, I can see you with my Bond and Open Handed. I understand a little idle play while you figure out what’s going on, or when it’s safe to do something, but DO SOMETHING!!!
- Players that fast vault, or sprint into lockers, or sabo hooks nearby for no goddamn good reason other than to be a troll.
- Survivors rescued from a basement hook that then HEAL IN THE BASEMENT!!! Healing at a hook can be fine sometimes, BUT NOT IN THE BASEMENT YOU MORON!!!
Sigh... I think I need a break again. Which peeves me off because the event starts shortly, and I still want BP to level up Chris & Claire.
At least Chivalry 2 is hilarious fun...
This is precisely why you absolutely cannot take solo queue seriously and why I play killer mostly. Waaaaaaay to much of your success depends on your team mates.

I main killer and I play Clown and Legion, they are not that much better than Trickster! Trickster, Trapper, Clown and Legion are all B+ or at worst i'll put Trickster B. Why do people think this killer isnt viable when he is. There is not one killer in dbd thats terrible or even bad, i dont understand this line of thinking
His list of issues have been stated repeatedly in this thread and others.
The biggest one is that he turns into a 110% m1 killer around any structures which destroys his pressure.
Clown atleast has the potential to either get faster hits or good pallets down fast.
Legion can atleast keep people injured for most of the game resulting in game delay if they heal or forces them to waste more good pallets and play safer if uninjured.
-
Well I mean it's a demon puppet....
Jokes aside, that looks stupid lol
-
He's the worst killer right now no exaggeration. Clown and legion are way better than him.
Unfortunately he's not going to be buffed for an extreme amount of time because the devs just gave him some buffs even though it wasn't enough.

Since when does trapper rely on camping?
Since forever?
Sure you can try to play the "put traps in good loops" game but you'll be lucky to get a kill by the time the gens are all done.
This is why trapper and hag trap one place/section of the map and basically don't leave i.e. camping.
-
Shes not very fun to play or verse imo. Like trapper, you rely on camping to get kills which is just uuuggghhh
-
Welcome to the club! We get together every second Thursday for bowling, all 7 of us!
-
My current build is botany, self care, dead hard, and Kindred with a med kit.
The benefit of how that heals myself better is self evident but I've found that botany alone has helped my team a good bit more by getting people healed up faster which lets them avoid hooks longer.
It's not amazing to be sure but it really does help especially in solo.
-
Probably seen 2 tricksters in the last month.
I play him once in a while if I'm not feeling try hard.
-
Probably useless bug fixes like "fixed an animation glitch when survivors fall out of the map"
And new bugs such as "survivors can periodically fall through the map"
-
The entity is already in the game as a killer:
Once the match starts, the entity randomly kills one survivor immediately and assumes their identity. If a nea is in the group, the entity will always choose her.
One of the servants of the entity is chosen as a distraction. The entity doesn't want the other survivors to know it is amoung them.
Once the match starts, the entity will purposely fail skill checks and bring the servant to the other survivors in hopes the servant will do the entities dirty work.
The entity does not like repairing generators and will often be found on the outskirts of the trial using urban evasion to monitor the other survivors at a distance.
Sometimes, the entity gets more hands on and will block windows and pallets while it's servant chases a survivor preventing the survivor from running away optimally.
The entity will also attempt to locate survivors for its servant if they are hiding in lockers.
While all this is happening, the entity is siphoning the rage and frustration of the survivors knowing they are failing the trial because of one of their own.
-
Yeah they are complete sh*t sometimes but remember when they were that bad ALL the time?
Undying and ruin stay up for a big chunk of the match for me unless there's someone with a map (which is see A LOT).
-
Its because there's a lot of people playing nemesis imo.
I'm also getting fast survivor queues even in the middle of the evening when usually the wait is 10+ minutes.
-
If you aren't playing scummy it's probably something going on that you don't see like someone being useless urban evading the entire match and they don't want to deal with team mates like that.
Could also juat be the killer or some unintentional way your playing. For example I'll disconnect vs a basement trapper. Complete waste of time.
-
Some people just want to watch the world burn...
-
It's sad because the community as a whole basically felt he was fine other than his instant saw addon.
They could have just removed or changed that alone but instead decided to introduce a mechanic no one asked for and made him worse.
