I dont agree this would need to be changed, that is the power of the perk, the fact u have that alloted time to make the down doesn't mean it should happen once

Yeah I agree. The perk is meant to give you a minute of exposed status, it doesn't say it applies only on the next hit. If you get downed twice in that minute it sucks, but you and your saver probably made some big mistakes to make this happen (=you did the wrong choices).

Btw how can a killer using MYC be "tunneling and campy" since that perk requires to not camp nor tunnel to work?

  • Survivors have already plenty of ways to stun the killer, no need to have more.

  • Not sure about a permanent exposed status, but I like the idea of a repercussion for letting him stalk you so much. Usually the ones punished for that is that other survivor who usually bumps into a 99% EW2 Myers ready to one shot them thanks to some other idiot.

    console is very bad fps.

He's clearly not talking about console because patch 2.0.0 is not out yet on either.

Anyways, the devs changed lighting a lot in this patch, especially with the way shiny things(such as bloody skins) reflect light. It is now closer to how it appeared prior to patch 1.4.0, however it is more taxing on resources. My recommendation is to look up how to tweak the internal resolution in the ini files, however I am unsure if that still works.

Yeah I noticed the lightning changes... I already tweaked the settings but I lost 5-10 fps compared to before. Unfortunately that means being constantly under 20 fps, that is kinda the limit for good gameplay.

  • You never watch a horror movie for the 6th time and say it sucks because you didn't get scared. You judge it based on the first watch, right? Then it should be the same here.
Personally, when I first started the game I played solo survivor and was terrified. So yeah, I consider this a horror game.

seam it should not be since it make it not possible to save it be saved

Just don't try the save and repair generators. The killer will feel like an idiot while gens pop all around him.

  • It's actually good against stealthy players since they'll be more prudent and loose time. But since most are not stealthy at all...

  • I'm all for a sound signal (a whistle or somethign similar), I can think of many situations where it could be useful. But chat? Nah... Imo it would break immersion. The beauty of this game is being able to communicate and coordinate with the team without voice nor text. When it happens it feels satisfying.

I suggest you to use Bond if you need better coordination. It's very useful for that because it gives you a lot of informations.

  • A long time ago I mastered the Nurse (but I admit I'm now very rusty with her). I can say she is not hard as people say. Sure she needs practice to get the timing and the distance, but once you get used to her blinks you don't need much strategy or mindgames as other killers for the simple fact that her ability is so powerful. She only needs a bit of prediction (on a similar level of the Huntress), but overall she is very straight forward.
I also think she has almost "crutch" mechanics like 3+ blinks that allows her to make mistakes and correct them, and sometimes misuses of her ability ends in undeserved hits.

Honestly I find killers like the Trapper or the Hag harder to master.

The idea is not that bad per se, but if you know survivors enough you would know that would lead to a lot of hook farming and sandbagging, especially when there are 2-3 swf survivors since the other team mates would be seen as a burden.

So long as teams are rewarded properly with a bonus for each survivor that survives to the end such things will not occur.

A little tangental: I think the emblem system was a missed opportunity. Instead of only individuals, the emblems should have judged the entire team as well in addition to each player's personal contribution when evaluating final score.

The reward should be really huge since hook farming and sandbagging already give a lot of BP, and in that case would make surviving easier.

I disagree on the emblems. Even though it can be played as a team game, DbD is not that. Each survivor is on its own.

  • Chainsaw spamming? What did you smoke?

  • How about instead of ragequitting you learn to play against him? Just saying...

I'll just take Sadonic's advice, and play the Doctor for easy wins all day until they nerf him.

Good. At least you'll see that unless survivors are noob you'll have to sweat to get kills.

  • The best advice is to just ignore or laugh about survivor's toxicity. Most of times is just a way to hide their "suckyness"

  • I'm petty sure it's intended that way. First because some survivors would be better than others and would always be picked. Second because the killer would easily know what to expect from them.

  • I actually like them, especially the Wraith's. The one that should be definetly updated is the Trapper's, imo.

  • It's not a thing. A survivor should attempt to kobe at the right time so to not get smacked right after the unhook.

I would message teammates of what is going on, but between trying to determine if the killer is camping, getting to a survivors steam account, and then sending the message to the other 1-3 survivors it's hard the fight the timer to struggle phase.

You could wave your arms on the hook. It's the universal sign that means the killer is camping.

People tested the new content, played some games got the idea and went back to the normal game since it's actually worth BP and Shards. Everyone I know moved back a few days ago. It's time to launch it IMO.

But the PTB just got updated.

  • I don't think it needs a buff. In it's niche it's a nice perk.

  • That's actually good. Claudettes tend to hide badly because they think they are invisible, let's keep making them believe so :) (also their breath is quite loud, especially with Stridor)

  • @Master said: Did the survivors cry enough, so he gets nerfed now?

    They are all buffs actually.

    @Master said:
What does that mean ether from +1.0s to 0.66s, what are those values refering to?

Those are the bonuses given by addons. Since they buffed the base duration, they reduced the addons effect a bit, but the overall duration is still bigger than before.

    @Master said:
And removed intoxication penalty effect, what does that mean? All other effects of the toxic gas are gone now and there is only the hindered/exposed effect?

Some addons had penalties like reduced intoxication duration. They removed the penalties so those addons only give a bonus.

  • Well, yesterday I saw a Hex totem from afar and as I went toward it a box appeared/popped up in front of it, hiding it from my sight. Too late.

  • I'm not sure about the BT changes, for the reasons others have already expressed, but I agree on rewarding more healing slugged survivors.

  • I would be really a nice addition.

  • They actually increased BP gain in the PTB

  • Let's see how it looks like
    Nice!

  • In all that uncomprehensible babbling, I found something I agree with

    @MikeLatin7 said:
what is it with that cough every time he vaults it's like here I am really?

That cough makes harder doing mindgames since it's easy to hear when the Clown is vaulting a window.

  • Well, now that you said you don't like them I'm pretty sure they'll scrap them for good asap.

  • @SquirtleSurgeon1 said:
But that's the purpose of the perk... to dodge the killer, and once again he still deal with it and if they're really gonna waste that much time you just don't go for them and chase a different survivor first. Then go to them when they are in a bad position, and you can get survivors in their "safe areas" by just juking them pretty easily.

Dead Hard was made to dodge hits (it has invicibility frames), Sprint Burst should serve to gain ground but thanks to how the hit detection works, it allows to dodge attacks more easily than Dead Hard itself.
Btw there's no need to teach me how to play, especially since the advice of "chase someone else" is good only on low ranks, where the chances of 4 SB are lower.
I don't say Sprint Burst is OP, but it's undeniable that it's the strongest of all the exhaustion perks and it makes the survivor's life way easier.

  • @SquirtleSurgeon1 said:
once again, then they played it wrong, one of my friend literally only plays Pig and that's it and he is able to deal with SB almost every time, and hes only had the game for 2 weeks, it's the killers problem if they can't find somebody after SB.

I think you are a bit confused. Nobody said Sprint Burst makes finding survivors harder. On the contrary, survivors with SB don't even care about being found. Because if you hide and get found, you get a hit and are at a disadvantage, if you just stay on a gen and sprint away as soon as the killer attacks you you gain so much ground and can go in a safe area.
It doesn't make the survivor stronger, but it makes the killer waste a lot more time. Especially stealth killers, that will waste time trying to make a surprise attack easily dodged thanks to a perk.

  • The Nurse is overrated. You just need a wall and with a couple of fakes make her go the wrong way, then hide while she's fatigued and tries to understand where did you go. Most of the times I get hit it's because they made a mistake that somehow favoured them.

  • The pallet changes are awsome. You can't really appreciate them until you switch back to the live version and see how pallets are obnoxious.
The hatch change is too killer sided. I think keys should be revamped to compensate (I made a thread for that)
The new killer has great design and is fun to play. I think he is quite balanced.

  • Were you standing still? Because afaik currently you must be moving to drop the pallet.

  • +1
Even just a prestige/bloody skin would be nice

  • The mori fits perfectly with his lore. He doesn't care much about the kill, but rather about his collectibles.
Besides, the content of his bottle is a narcotic that works when inhaled. When ingested it could loose a lot of effectivness and take hours to make significant effects. Unless you like to watch a survivor slowly getting into a coma, I'd stick with the headstomps

Yes tbag is the main way of communicating for survivors because it's simple and doesn't require to stop moving. It can mean a lot of things, it all depends on the context.
I usually consider it BM when it's done behind a pallet or in the exit gate are. Otherwise it's mostly a way to call the killer's attention.

Nah, if I am chasing someone and they stop to tea-bag or throw down a safe pallet and tea-bag I don't see how that can be taken as anything but "[BAD WORD] you" from that player.

That's... essentially what I already said.

  • They mentioned (can't remember when) they will rework the perk because currently it requires a lot of work to make it work for a new killer.

  • You know, the world isn't divided between killer and survivor mains. I for example enjoy a lot more playing killer, but I play survivor a bit more because for playing killer I need the right mindset to play well. Should I be considered a survivor main? Not at all.
The point is, you can just be a player that enjoys both the roles instead of sticking to just one and have no clue of what it's like on the other side.

  • So a glass bottle should have the same effect of a hatchet? Interesting.

Hindered will lower a sprinting survivors movement speed from 100% down to 96.25%. I'm not sure if that alters walking/crouch speed at all though.

    So its useless. Alright

Math wise it isn't since most killers run at 110% of survivor speed, that means that you will catch up to the survivor about 30% faster.

Of course that depends on the duration, if the slow only lasts a few seconds, then yeah it's useless.

They move at 115% movement speed. With your reasoning, the catch up difference is 25%

  • I think the Entity just do as it likes. It probably chose Kate because she is a "battler", and maybe it wanted to taste her fighting attitude (and wasn't probably let down).

    For killers or survivors?
Hex totems are already too easily found by survivors....

For killers. Survivors usually don't see gens, hooks and totems auras.

  • They'll change how you get shards: not anymore from playtime during a match, but by leveling up your account level.

ok. so the new rule should be if a survivor isn't toxic then the killer isn't allowed to be toxic? so now survivors are not only in control of the gameplay and pace of the match, they're also in control of the killers response as well? we need a preset screen like in kyf so you can check off all the things you don't allow.... gen tapping - yes. t-bags - yes. pallet looping - yes. speed hacks - yes. camping - no. tunneling - no. mori spam - no.... thats a much better system.... :D

Or maybe you can... you know, not being toxic at all?

i'm not toxic, partner. not in the least.... in fact, i'm quite a friendly killer. but i'm still a killer.... i don't camp. i don't tunnel. i don't even use mories.... i used one once for a ritual and sent an apology after the game.... but while i'm not toxic, i'm also a realist.... i know i have no right to say how other ppl should play their game.... theres lots of things in game i'm not a fan of..... but till they're removed, i'm not in any position to dictate how they should be used. as far as killer mains go, i'm probably the most pro-survivor one you'll find. but the fact is - ppl payed their own money for their own copy of the game and should be able to play any way they want withen the set rules and mechanics.... i'm not salty. i'm just real....

This is a multiplayer game, it means it's based on being in a community. And usually being civil is the key of being in a community. Toxicity must be condemned, not embraced and spread out.
BTW my first comment wasn't aimed at you in particular, but at your comment.
