Played it 3 times this evening. It's definetly still there...
-
It has many problems, but imo the worse is that it makes a lot harder to find survivors when it's active because they won't be at gens, where they are most commonly found. Those 40 seconds imo will be wasted most of the times unless you're lucky.
-
When I first saw this post I was like "omg, they found something else to complain about"... but after witnessing firsthand how obnoxious those snowman are I have to agree. They're RNG dependant, but a snowman in the right place can mean an incredible amount of time lost for the killer. They're funny and cool, but badly implemented balance-wise.
-
As long as you do stuff and are useful for the team there's absolutely nothing wrong. Being stealthy you don't burn up resources (pallets) and can actually waste a lot of the killer's time.
-
Huntress feels a lot more rewarding for the simple reason every throw is significant. If you land a hard knife with Trickster you don't get much of a reward.
-
Nobody knows how Dead by Daylight works.
I disagree, many people knew it would be forgotten after the first period of novelty. But yes, this community is clueless and never learn from its mistakes, repeating them over and over.
-
Same experience, this artificial balance really sucks the fun out of the game.
-
"Skill" Based Match Making. It's lazy, simplicistic and just changed the quality of the matches for the worse.
-
Lol I really doubt a good Nurse can't deal with some extra distance.
My prediction is that after the first period of novelty, people will forget about Overcome and will come back to DH, SB and Lithe.
-
Today I suicided against a Ghostface because the reveal didn't work at all and it got me exposed. It's not the first time and it will not be the last. That ######### is too annoying.
-
Probably because if it did the killer could instantly grab or hit the survivor, making the save comepletely worthless.
-
I watched some gameplay and, although there are very strong similarities (damn, the UI is blatantly copied from DbD) the feel of the game is very different. I think VHS is more comparable to Evolve than to DbD because both factions are fighting eachother. Not to talk about the bright and colourful aesthetic, the opposite of DbD.
-
Is it the challenge to down two survivors with Main Event? It's not that hard, keep in mind that it doesn't say you must down them in a single Main Event, you can do it in two different occurrencies.
-
I voted mash, but actually I do that only for dropping pallets and vaulting, for the rest I time.
-
To me he didn't change that much.
-
I got the Clown's Lord of the Underworld because it's freaking amazing.
-
Tbh I think Iron Will doesn't deserve a nerf. It has a strong effect, sure, but its effectiveness is entirely reliant on the skill of the player.

I'm certain that Coulrophobia works, it's just the bar doesn't turn red.
I was watching a streamer, and they were playing against a killer with Coulrophobia. The killer got two downs within the Circle of Healing AOE because they had Coulrophobia.
No the speed was clearly not affected.

After giving him 400% additional stalk...
That's not a reason to make a borderline addon completely broken, especially considering stalking can be extremely aided by maps and bad teammates .
-
Well it was quite an unique map, I will miss basically everything. But probably the most the hole with the big fall from the second floor. It was always funny to place a trap there or waiting for someone to fall into your arms while stealthy.

People do it just to spite, and it can make getting the achievement impossible. It is pretty stupid if you ask me.
Or maybe they do it because they don't want to die at the click of a button...
-
Nope. Being able to instanly kill a survivor on the spot is already strong enough without the need to remove the only counter. Just suck it up and hook them.
-
First, slugging is absolutely not toxic, it's instead a vital tactic at high level play to build pressure. Second, having infinite uses of Unbreakable would just make it so no killer would ever slug and the perk would be never used, just look at how many times No Mither users are left on the ground.
-
Not to mention it wouldn't take as much skill as a normal flashlight save.
But that's the point, it's an UR it has to do something. The survivor would still need to be near the survivor when they're downed, pray the killer doesn't face a wall, being sneaky, hoping the killer doesn't fake the pickup and being able to fully blind them. The only thing that would change is that they wouldn't need a perfect timing and can start the blind a bit earlier.

Maybe try reading beyond the first line...
-
Tbh I find it fun. It adds a little more interaction between killer and survivor. Plus if you don't ######### up you can waste their flashlight in no time while they attempt to burn you.
-
Running at you with bt up
Everything else I don't care, but this infuriates me since I always do my best to not tunnel... for those who do this I make an exception.
-
Tbh Self Care has always been a questionable perk. It has the advantage of being always usable though, which in combination with some other perks (like Bite the Bullet, or Lucky Break) can make it very useful, while Boons are more situational especially in solo Q.
-
I think the Trickster received backlash because he's misunderstood. He's supposed to be the maniacal homicide hidden behind a nice mask, but apparently people didn't like that.
The Artist though is quite unique, she is half woman half bird with that wierd ink stuff coming out of her stumps.
-
The fault of this reasoning is that tier lists are completely arbitrary and made up by the community.

I'm both surprised and disappointed that no one mentioned that Calm Spirit prevents the scream when you're hit.
I mean it doesn't have a practical use really, but it's awkward as heck.
It's like awkwardly watching a mime bust a gut laughing.
Actually I find survivors with Calm Spirit harder to track after hitting them if they spin around me before running away, so a little practical use there is.

Why should people invest in a weak killer?
Maybe because he's not?
-
It would be nice if more people played him, maybe they would realize he is not bad as people say and is still mostly the good 'ol Billy.
-
Personally I would change NOED to expose only survivors who have been previously hooked at least once. This way it wouldn't reward killers who use it to secure a second kill after camping all match (as I see it used often), but would rather reward not tunneling.
-
Skillchecks are just meant to divert your concentration on the center of your screen reducing your periferal awareness, they are not meant to be hard.
-
I think it's a niche perk and aside from the initial period of people trying it everyone will fall back on Sprint Burst or Dead Hard.
-
They'd just need to allow to see each other's perks in the lobby (and maybe in the esc menu) to close a lot the gap.
-
It's not random, you can reliably get what you want if you understand its logic.
Know you can buy 4 nodes before the Entity appears, unless you get a perk. To help get your second perk, buy the 2 nodes that lead to your first perk, then buy the 2 leading to a perk you don't want. When you buy your first perk, it's almost guaranteed the Entity will get the perk you're closer to get, which is the one you don't want. This gives you enough "time" to get the second perk you want.
-
It would be nice a Boon that increases vaulting speed.

No.
I also think trying to put them into categories simply because you don't like their choices is childish and dangerous.
Criticize their decisions all you want, I do. But saying, "I don't like this decision, they must be X" is incredibly stupid.
This. They're developers... for us this is just a game, for them it's their job. They have the means to look at it from a higher, less limited point of view and all the intentions to appease everyone since in their eyes we're not killers or survivors, but customers.
-
I think the main reason is that an escape for the survivor is 5k points or more (=a huge chunk of their earnings), while for the killer giving hatch means very little point-wise. Plus killers most of the times (at least in my experience) refuse the offer of a pity kill and would rather escort the survivor to the exit and make them leave.
-
I play both equally and for me it's more fun playing killer, but since the gameplay has no pause (unlike the survivor's) it requires more brainpower and is more tiring.

They do actually. Played correctly, one DH can extend a chase massively, that 2-gen chase could become a 3 or even 4 gen chase. At this point, tunneling becomes the only option to win.
If you have a team of 4 people who all know how to loop and use DH effectively, they will finish the gens before you can kill more than 1 of them, almost guaranteed. So we get back to the "having to tunnel" someone conundrum.
That is true for a ton of other things... And still, tunneling in those scenarios are the opposite of what you should do. If you realize a chase is gonna take a lot of time, you are just throwing the match by insisting on it.
-
I agree that they are kinda useless right now, but maybe they should get new abilities, maybe not solely reliant on addons
-
Using =/= abusing
I get you don't like the perk, but DH and tunneling having nothing do to with each other
-
That would just reward reckless behaviour, no thanks.
-
Tbh I thing WGLF is fine as is, promoting altruistic behaviour. It would be nice if it gave a stack for picking up survivors though.
-
If a survivor is clicky-clickying you they are desperatly begging for attention, just don't give it to them.
-
You guys should try playing for fun rather than for winning.
-
Before he starts using weapons in RE3 he can leap incredibly fast, I would give him that ability for mobility and zoning.
