  • Yeah, like I get wanting to nerf the house of pain, but this completely flips the switch. With the right window spawns, that generator is entirely free, and now it still is... but just for killer.

  • It's probably like that due to similarity it has with legion.

And Nurse, Spirit, and Wraith's power ends before you M1. While Legion and this guy's m1 happens during the power, and that's why I guess it's not considered a basic attack.

    Thanks.

Well. He looks really unique, but reminds me somhow strong on the harry potter games - what I have seen of them in short game-news-sequences.

sighs Well, he seems not really what I had hope for, after the first lines I had read here in this thread.

He definitely seems very decisive and I definitely can see what you mean about the HP feel to him. So far, I've heard a few bit of things from people playing him. In the video, OhTofu went on to use is it as movement ability, but I've also have seen some people use it in a similar way to Wraith's body blocking. You can jet past the survivor, smash into the pallet and then decide to zone it or go for the lethal rush.

Though, those yearning for a Legion 2.0 ( in a similar vein as Freddy to Clown) might be left wanting more.

You guys talking in multiple threads about the new killer, but nowhere I had found a link. Can someone throw it in my way? If bhvr is ok with it, that I guess so open it gets discussed here...

Sounds like a intersting killer after a year of... well... maybe not so interesting killers...

It should start at where he describes the power (3:15).

  • RIght now, my main concern is if they were able to break the DLC curse.

I pray they are able to make a map that actually fun and fair for both sides, but if it's another Midwich, again, I won't be surprised.

  • People be gettin' a REALITY CHECK.

  • For a second I read this as " who should I pill next?"

I was wondering, "how do you pill legion? What even is that? Then Clown?"

  • That's why I usually always run whispers, but pre x-play it was never really a problem. I wonder if stealth is prevalent in the console meta ( not that there aren't stealth pc players).

  • because there are 29 different green offerings and 1 pink offering, so you are more likely amass that one pink mori versus 1/29 green mori.

  • I don't know if it's true, but I heard some saying that rift skins were supposed to be released in the store later some time.

Well... It's not Claudette. Just Blendies. Hunting them to extinction is practically tradition now.

  • This game is hardly secure. The only thing keeping hacking at bay is that it costs money.

I use quick and quiet but I end up using it mid chase and it dosnt recharge before I reach a locker.

But using quick and quiet to hide and then get away, what's the point of having head on if you ain't going to stun?

In that kind of scenario, it's more of a safety net. You'll loop around to cover the area in scratch marks, then jump into the locker. It takes 7 seconds for the marks to dissipate, and might confuse the killer.

Either they'll walk away looking for you, or do a double take and guess the locker, then you jump out. In both those situations, you're buying more time for yourself/team.

Just make sure to do it within 15 seconds. If not, then a crow will perch on the locker and your head on will deactivate.

Yeah guys urr... Trying not to feed him IS IMPOSSIBLE. Especially in non-SWF solo queue, sometimes dudes just feed him and he tends to use the Evil off of one guy to chase another, basically effing you over even in the best break LOS and loops.

He WILL build Evil 3, no matter what you do. And you guys are saying he doesn't get a speed increase with EW 2-3 at all, but I SWEAR TO FREAKING GOD I saw him move 150% his speed straight up on Evil 3, EVERY single time.

    It's yes and no.

He gets a faster vault speed and longer lunge duration, but his base speed stays the same, 115%.

It's always going to suck to get downed because of other people's mistakes, but it doesn't make him overpowered. It's not like he gets it for free either. He's like 7 ft tall with a bone white mask. If someone runs around the map throwing every pallet early, it doesn't mean the killer is busted.

  • Myers is pretty weak. He's got the worst early game compared to all killers. And his stalk mechanic, unlike Ghostface, is dependent on distance. The farther his is, the longer to takes to stalk up.

The counter to Myers is starving him of stalk. You might not be able to completely stop from reaching Evil Within 3, but you can make it take 2 or so gens for him to reach.

Though, Myers (and Hag) are killers that take a team effort to take down, so you just have to hope your team knows to spread out and DO NOT FEED MYERS glowing blendette.

afaik not true for the majority of PC players. Personally I used to have ~10 minutes killer queues unless I played in the late evening/night, crossplay is a literal godsend to me, because I can finally play killer at normal hours.

For me, queues were 5-6 mins till 8 pm EST, and then instant at 10 ish. Though I got used to it, I never played more than 3 or so rounds. I'm pretty stoked about being able to play mid day and easily play twice as much rounds in the same amount of time.

  • @AGM said:

Yea happened to me as Demo on Groaning Storehouse. Luckily I was able to place a portal and escape it that way, but if it were to happen on some other killer with no movement power, game over man.

Dude this happened to on Auto Heaven. I was carrying a survivor to a hook on a hill and then I just got randomly stuck. I don't play Demo very often, but I have never been happier to be playing them than when this happened.

  • I am honestly disappointed by the lack of cursed outfits

  • TTVs.

Those guys are mori magnets and I ain't tryin' to hear that noise.

  • @Finnick519 said:

Well I disabled crossplay because there are obvious skill and hardware difference between the two and it was ruining some of my games. I was either getting useless teammates or bad killers who even I could 360 consistently, and I suck at that normally. I don't necessarily blame console players for that, I just question the Devs for making this a thing in the first place. I'm glad you can turn it off, though.

Yeah, the skill difference is wildly variant in my experience. Sometimes they do okay, and though they lack in loop they make up with sticking to generators. Then I get games where survivors don't do either. I had a game where survivors would immediately hide every time they heard the Demogorgon's teleport cry and everything went by 5x slower.

I really hope as a PC killer, they get the MMR thing actually working because I'm genuinely torn. Instant queues are nice, but there is a very real guilt in playing against some of these people.

I'm resorting to letting them all go because they all seem so innocent compared to the vicious creatures I'm used to :(.

  • They are only up when you first ( I think it may be a bit more but its finite) go against that killer. After that, they dont show up anymore.

  • Dude have you seen how beefy Huntress is? She's absolutely ripped my man. She'd probably reel deathslinger in by his own chain then give him the most brutal left hook knocking his weak jaw off.

    Pathetic.

  • IDK, I can only describe the plays console purple/red players have been making as "crack headed".

They have the typical perks, but the thought processes are not there. They leave loops incredibly early if not immediately after throwing the pallet (even if it's a super safe loop), they don't look behind themselves, they don't wait in a safe position if they lost vision of the killer, or any of the basic thing you do as a survivor. I've had a few games where survivors would blatantly run in front of me for a hook save while carrying a survivor like I didn't know dropping them was an option. You can meme or play aggressively but you can't get mad at the killer when you die over it.

I have no doubt that it's a very different experience, but these are all just flat out bad plays. There isn't any sweating necessary when they hand themselves over to you.

PC DBD can be hell if you let it. At some point everyone learns, killers and survivors, that if you don't play for your own fun, no one is.

  • I'm surprised I don't see more Huntresses on that list.

  • as killer or survivor?

If it's survivor, I've heard some people saying queues went up, but I've only heard it go up from instant to 1-2 minutes.

  • I will say, I have never see so many twinked out survivors until now. A cross-play spray can Nea, with OoO, DS, Deadhard, Andren that's rank 13 with 2 other purples.

Luckily Huntress does just fine with hatchets on most Autohaven maps.

  • I honestly still can't believe that as a killer at 3.00 pm EST, I can sit down and find a game in less than 6 minutes.

Seriously, If you don't play killer now is really the time. Though, I will say that console survivors play a lot more wildly than I'm used to. Sometimes for the better sometimes for the worse.

To be honest that's a fair reason to not have it, unless the game supports keyboard text input (so not game input.) Obviously we have no way to check since console has no input fields, I believe. Maybe the report page? I might test that next time I get the chance. Obvs not actually file the report lmao just test to see if the keyboard works.

I think they do have keyboard typing (or at least I was told they do). I'm just a bit pessimistic because even on PC sometimes when you try to be helpful, they can take it the wrong way. The end game chat always feels a bit charged IMO unless both sides were obviously memeing.

To me anyway, It kind of does feel nice that if you wanted to check what the other survivors were using, you aren't going to get berated. But then again, I could always turn off chat in options so wouldn't hurt for it to be enabled for everyone to see regardless of platform.

  • girl, no shade but I aint waiting in endgame lobby for a survivor to Morse code me how bad of a killer I am with the controller.

  • Pig.

A majority of her addons revolve around her RBT and whether or not they have any real value in game depends on luck. Trap status effects don't do anything if they get off immediately.

And Rule set 2 is trash tier.

I'm pretty sure it was only meta when it was broken in the PTB (AKA the instant heal PTB).

and it worked on generator progression.

    *shudders*

  • IDV would probably be a better fit with the whole button doll thing.

  • I got it randomly the other day, but it could be that they reduced the frequency after some time.

Still hate that map, so the less the better.

  • Girl, all I want is surge to be able to be triggered off of general downs and not m1 downs.

No like... There's like a collision box around the killer; it used to be big enough to trap survivors in the basement; but then they reduced it; and it feels like they reduced it even further recently; and I wanna know Whyyyyy

They did change it a while ago.

    from: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/11-2-7-0-mid-chapter

    • Reworked the character collision in the basement stairs to prevent hostage situation

Edit: NVM, sorry. I just caught the "even further part". I have heard on stream, some people saying issues with dead hard going through them, but I've never personally seen or felt them my self. That and issues with hugging Plague to avoid her puke but I mean, she'd probably bop you anyway.

  • With all these posts, I feel like I'm the only one with normal games.

What I don't get is how, I'm getting regular reds + purples as someone who plays 3 games a day, while someone who streams the game 8 hours a day is getting browns + yellows.

  • IMO, the greek collection was bit of a flop. They really did Yui dirty with those rags they threw on her.

  • Mine were like 3-4 minutes before during the day, and instant at night. Now it's, 6-7 mins and 2-3 mins for me.

  • It's unfortunate how the MMR works for newer players. I wonder if outright slaughtering the newbies from R 20-15 with multiple gens up could have catapulted you really far forward.

Edit: Inb4 a "soul memory" like system is in place and it starts checking for twinked out killers.

  • I wonder if you're more likely, as a solo, to have a situation where the MM gives you 2 highs and 2 lows to average an MMR that accommodates what ever killer it finds.

I wish I could feel as annoyed as everyone else is, but my queue times are too long IMO to warrant playing more than 2-3 matches.

  • I kind of want an add on that gives some passive hatchet regeneration, but removes the ability to lunge ( or something that makes it so hatchet throws are the main way of getting downs)

  • What I want to know is:

    • Fixed an issue causing the Demogorgon to sometimes miss Survivors when using the shred ability and landing exactly on the Survivor.

Does this mean that hill pounces are now a thing? I hope so.

Hello, some users have found that this helps them: Steam > Settings > Download tab and click Clear download cache

Please try this out. If this doesn't work, I'm deeply sorry. There isn't much I can't do sadly. I ask you to be patient and wait.

I just wanted to say that this worked for me.

Everything is back to normal. DLCs, cosmetics, cells , BP, shards, levels, ranks, everything is fine.

  • Though I do agree that some tactics can feel really cheap, I don't think the game as it is really allows killers to play "fair" and win. There just isn't enough time to down and hook survivors one by one. If you do so, there will always be 3 other players on gens and the game can quickly spiral to an end unless you play a killer that can cut chases short incredibility (and such killers are often complained about as being "not fun"). If not then survivors just run from pallet to pallet. Though leaving chase is smartest idea, you still need hooks so abandoning multiple chases can become a bad one and the RNG nature of maps/pallets becomes pretty apparent. If one side gets the more favorable map spawn, the better gamer has already been decided before anyone has even done anything.

I have no idea how they could balance it so fair play would actually be viable for both sides, but we aren't exactly there yet.

Personally, though I can see how things can be boring and do agree on some of them, I'm still going to play the game with the mindset of "this is how it is" and not " this is how I want it to be".

Otherwise, I'd be burned out by always having to follow rule sets that no one else follows. With meta perks being.. well meta. I'd pretty much be saying:

    "I'm morally obligated to lose"

  • What!!!? Pig has the best mori because it's one of the shortest. The girl does. not. waste. time.

  • TBF, you also get WGLF for free vs BBQ, but it would be nice if they combined it with We're going to make.

  • He's apparently always had this alarm ringing noise (I'm not sure how to describe it). Another user pointed it out and linked a youtube video with his sound effects. But you only notice it playing when he hard scopes, which most don't.

  • I can see where you are coming from but I think it also important to look at intent.

The skin itself doesn't promote any negative ideology about Claudette's ethnicity. To me at least, it's in a more plain matter of fact way. Leather face wears the faces of other people. And the name and tag are just references to Claudette as a person, as well as her personal perk.

    Smartface

"He's not completely devoid of empathy."

I don't doubt that there will be some people that may have racist names/or chat while having the Claudette face skin, but I'd argue that says more about the person than the cosmetic.

  • Who ever is luckier is the one who finds it faster.

It's been said before, but the hatch is a chance for the last guy to escape, not to definitely escape.

I will say that some of the door spawns can be a bit busted, and should spawn in a manner that again, gives the last guy a chance to open the door and not a moment where the killer is able to watch both doors at the same time.
