Definitely Beverly, as long as they get Jessica Chastain's likeness. I swear to god if we get another Laurie/Quentin...
Taste!
Beverly all the way. I didn’t actually like Rich that much in the movie.

Both sides are entitled. That hasn’t changed.
Objectively this disadvantages solo survivors, which make up the majority of the game.
There’s a difference between disagreeing with an argument and just flat out not listening to it; while I can understand where you’re coming from, this change isn’t necessary when the devs are already planning to as is.
Please understand if you have an idea like this, know that you’re going to get a substantial amount of criticism. Not to say that you didn’t expect this, but after analyzing both sides of this, I feel like we’re all making a huge logical fallacy— False Dichotomy.
Defining that, False Dichotomy is making it show that there’s two sides to the argument- when rather there’s many subtypes, sides, etc. The main purpose of this fallacy is to make your side look better than the other. In this case, calling the other side entitled. OP saying “I can't imagine how anyone could say this is a terrible idea except for the people who do this often” is also an example of this. Not to say that OP is wrong, but that’s hasty generalization because you’re jumping to a conclusion in that case, by establishing those disagreeing with you as something that is morally wrong in the community (based on the context of the sentence).
Let’s all take a breather; it’s one thing to debate, another to argue, and a whole other thing to fight.
Substantiating your claims with your own evidence can call for major fallacy— I play both sides (purple ranks on both), and I prefer survivor more, so you can understand my bias when it comes to that. Just like how I can understand the frustration when it comes to DC’s as Killer- but I just think the system doesn’t work because it’s so rare. I haven’t had this issue personally— maybe a few times, but the strategy has major downfalls. And with the upcoming DC punishments (more so than the ban waves that have apparently gone out, I can’t recall correctly), and other plans on the roadmap.
TLDR: Take a breather, it’s all good: we’re here to debate and discuss, not argue(this goes for all people commenting). I personally understand both sides and why they feel that way, but I can get more so behind the “survivor” side of it. Those for this change aren’t necessarily WRONG either, their claims hold water. I think maybe a concept more so similar to this, but I think this doesn’t account for solo players who did nothing wrong. Not to say that it speaks for all cases, but in my experience (which can be held up for debate) I haven’t encountered this issue as much as other people have said.

I feel this would allow the people in school such as myself and the people at work to be able to participate in the experiment.
Thats really all I wanted to say.
That’s when registration for the experiment ends, not when the experiment is.
-
It’s on the roadmap. Wouldn’t be surprised if they started working on it internally. Even if they did, they’d like to give more content to a dev update.

Can I also mention that it sounds weird that hospital gown Myers still walks as though he were wearing shoes?
I mean... have you SEEN his feet?
He needs a mani-pedi. ASAP.

If you look at the changes objectively, most of them are pretty reasonable.
-
I play somewhat immersed. Fixated is my new best friend.
I casually walk super fast towards a teammate getting picked up and land a blind, then IDK. I don’t get chased a lot.
-
Stuff like this is normal when it comes to reworking characters.
There’s normally two groups of “mains”. People who love the new nurse, and the one’s who don’t.
OP is clearly the former.
-
Pretty sure this is a bug. Can’t be sure.
-
...Okay?
What’s the point of this thread?
It’s been clarified multiple times that camping is a legit strategy with major downfalls.
Easy fix? Ignore post game chat/messages.

But that perk is so good. I don't know if I can do it.
To be fair... the first issue of dealing with addiction is knowing you have one.
-
It’s just meant for fun... apparently we can’t have that anymore.
I’m gonna tune in regardless, you guys don’t have to watch if you don’t want to.
This broadcast would likely include Fog Whisperers, so I understand why BHVR is involved.
Personally I would love to see some of it in the next Mash It Up.

it’s a two way street, survivors can be entitled too.

No no I understand that it takes time.
People are upset with the fact that they gave us a date it was going to come out.
Less than 24 hours before said update they said that it had to be postponed.. Again that's fine
But then they go radio silent until people keep blowing up twitter and this place looking for answers. But then again they say what they said and that was that. Now im not saying that they have to give us a step by step of what's going on.
But they truly can't sit here and say "This is your game not ours" when we just wanna know whats going on. I get that they can't give us a date, but they should have thought about that before they gave us one in the first place.
Because now we are back to the clown update..All over again.
I think people aren’t focusing on the “unforeseen circumstances”. Maybe something happened. Le shrug

But they have to had some type of fixes done I mean its been 8 days lmfao
Persona Five took five years.
Watchdogs Legion isn’t even out yet.
Just because eight days have passed doesn’t mean anything, really. OW event was delayed a week also. This stuff can take time.
-
You can’t just flat out remove communication programs. It wouldn’t even work on console, pc is no different. Best thing you can do is learn and counter playstyles of SWF. They’re pretty altruistic.
I also don’t tryhard when I’m in SWF. I mess around and joke, it’s more fun that way.
-
It’s one thing to be upset, but it’s another thing to just call them flat out incompetent.
Unforeseen circumstances happen in every industry. In most games, too. Like Watchdogs Legion, Persona 5... so on. Games can be delayed, so can updates.
Finished content is better than unfinished. BHVR is a company which doesn’t have crunch time, and has a new major feature being launched into the game, with the addition of a new cosmetic item. No crunch time means that things can take a bit longer.
Give it time, it’s worth the wait. I think so, anyway.
Plus the event is involved in said new feature, and for the most part generators and hooks would only provide bonus BP (at least, I think).
I expect bugs, that’s normal. But if they’re minimized? I’m happy.
The best thing we can do is twiddle our thumbs, maybe play darts, and just be patient.

Honestly a survivor should keep track of what perks the killer is using, and then realize if the killer could be using NOED or not. If you can count 4 perks and NOED isn’t among them, why should you waste time on totems?
Some perks don’t show up UNTIL endgame tho.

Four Dwights dressed in pink each equipped with a flashlight? All five of us are getting a fun game!
Four P3 Claudettes with toolkits? I'm going to be crying in the corner at the end.
I’ve done a tribe of Megs, Dwight’s, Bill’s... you name the survivor, me and my friend group have done a “tribe” of it.
Personal fave activity?
Conga lines. Even better when the killer joins.

A new survivor item would be cool. Maybe like a book that has cool add-ons , like seeing bloodstains better for survivors n stuff.

I like the hypocrisy, when it was about nurse/spirit it is about the sweaty god players who are not representative for the entire community.
When it is about SWF, it is about friends goofing around and not the sweaty people playing optimal.
^This. Being dumb or just goofing around with your friends is so much more fun than actually trying.

Finished content with no game breaking bugs is much better than a patch with rushed content and game breaking bugs.
-
You should NEVER assume how another survivor plays by their choice of cosmetic. Have people forgotten the saying “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover”? Seriously, some people can’t even wear bright cosmetics or play Nea and Steve anymore because they’re always tunneled.
Stereotypes are bad for the overall game design and it’s not something to be fixed.
We, as a community need to be the change we want to see in it.

Slugging? You mean a killer not giving an easy hatch? That's toxic to you? Or another kind like 4 men slugging?
Not to me. But some people can see it that way.
Four man is what I meant, but I guess it’s open to interpretation.
-
The game isn’t really intended to be balanced, per se.
I’d say more FAIR, but still, it makes sense the way the powers are the way they are.
It’s supposed to be asymmetric. Both sides being completely balanced kinda doesn’t fit into what the game IS.
-
Existing.
Playing a certain character like Nea, Kate or Steve, (considering how frequently they get tunneled).
Sand-bagging.
Overstaying your welcome in end game chat.
Slugging.
Other than a few exceptions, most of these are a negative reflection of the player base.

Why was hair textures changed? Talking about ponytails, and stuff like that.

will the event last longer then .. i mean we lost already 3 days. what i mean with that is will the rift get the days back that the delay cost it?
Pretty sure we’ll get the same amount of time we would’ve gotten if it was released on the 22nd.
-
Delays happen all the time in ANY industry.
Take the makeup industry, for example.
Not only does the product have to be compliant with the country’s standards (in this case Microsoft and Sony’s guidelines) but also there’s quality control that needs to be handled. There needs to be good working standards (decent patch with good bug fixes) but needs to align with labor standards (which, BHVR doesn’t have crunch time, so it can take longer for update) as the certified members of the FDA make sure this product is safe for human skin (or in this case, review by Microsoft and Sony guidelines and is the final checkpoint for the product that is align with their guidelines and good for play) and THEN it can be shipped out.
Delays can take time and unforeseen circumstances can happen, especially with the power outage they had. I would prefer quality than it being rushed.
The only bad example of delays (in the makeup industry) would be the Jaclyn Hill lipsticks, which were a total flop and didn’t go very well if you do a little research.
Let it also be said people who preorder it and then have delays aren’t compensated by any means. This is a completely normal, and sound business practice that is in compliance with what the consumer wants in the name of quality.
EDIT: Grammar and stuff. Yuck.
Reflecting on Peanits post; I agree. It’s normal to have delays. Think Persona 5- the game wasn’t ready, so it got delayed.
Peanits has stated we’ll have the same amount of time we would’ve gotten if it had started on that date.
-
I won’t lie... I can be pretty dumb. I run into walls pretty frequently.
-
As a Jane main, sometimes... her sounds are really annoying somedays.
Which is why I play other survivors like Kate and Nancy.
-
Better than F13’s. I don’t want a camera that can make me motion sick, so this does a pretty good job.
-
You could turn off game chat/ ignore the messages. You can also report these people (as long as you go to support with screenshots), Not completely sure about the console side of things tho.
-
Really depends on what your standard of hot is.
Differs for everyone.
-
I think it’s more of a revision to their communications style. Not to say that I don’t agree, but the company is still handling the project pretty well. Maybe it’s not the only thing they’re dedicating PR for anymore, tho.
-
Someone did it.
I’m so proud of this community.
-
I’d personally love it if everyone’s fave Grandpa got some cosmetics. He deserves the best tbh.

4% means it's 4 of 100 or 1 of 25.
0,5% would be 1 of 200 and it clearly isn't that rare.
It actually isn't hard to test, all that's needed is 3 people in KYF and several hours of time.
Me being bad at math? Shocker LOL

1 in 20 is just a fraction to represent 1/20, which is four percent.

Ok you talk about "bad map pressure" but not every killer is Spirit, Nurse or Billy you know that?
Read my other comments.

Even if everyone escaped, the entity could just grab more and it would start all over.

What if survivors order their clothes online?
I know I do.
But in all seriousness it would make fashion crafting a lot easier.

What does "Straw man" mean? I'm just literally telling you how I feel.
If it's the second thing, then sorry if i've been told by every survivor ever (okay just most, there are decent and nice survivors) to "JUST USSSEEEE MORE MAP PREUSSSSUREEE" so I assumed you were doing the same.
I wouldn't punish survivors for doing what they are supposed to. Where is the bloody sense in that?
I want them to buff up lower tier Killers so there is more Survivors have to deal with other that Miss WAAAHHHH and Miss BLINK.
I feel we both assumed what the other meant there. We should stop that. A secondary objective would be rather neat. Just not sure what it could be.
Straw man means to construct a false argument attributing to the opposing persons side. Major logical fallacy.
I feel like we both have good intentions— but we’re approaching the topic with a sense of hostility that clouds our judgement.
What I was thinking was, is that killers need a map pressure buff, so others could be played. Most of the killers are like “survivors do gens to fast!!” And blatantly ignore what the other side is experiencing.
I just think an alternative objective would be one way to fix this, but there’s so many ways to go about it, it’s difficult to understand without miscommunication.

You didn't applies enough pressure. Good one.
Anyway, if survivors in your rank are playing good and doing the objective fast you have to find ways to stop them from doing so. A certain playstyle or killer as example.
It’s not always the players fault, though. Some killers like clown don’t have good map pressure.
@UlvenDagoth said:

Yes, cause I can be in four places at once and protect every gen always. /s
Don’t straw man what I’m saying. There’s plenty of ways this problem could be gone about but you can’t punish survivors for doing their objective, you can’t. You CAN however buff killer map pressure. Extending gen times would make survivor feel like more of a chore than it could be, especially with the aggressive play style being pushed for.
I think gen rush is a symptom of a more major survivor side issue, the lack of alternative objectives. If we had something else to do other than generators we wouldn’t have this issue.
-
There’s a difference between doing an objective and not enjoying playing against a certain killer. Also, if you get gen rushed, that’s usually the product of bad map pressure. Plus, holding M1 for 80 or so seconds is super boring.
-
Hag is Fab and she deserves a new bag.
Periodt.
But in all honesty, Hag really isn’t toxic if she does that. It just makes you have to coordinate movement (and crouch) and you shouldn’t have to deal with it.
-
I actually like Meg’s backstory. She dipped out of a full ride to take care of her mother, who had supported her through her entire life and worked hard to raise her. She was a single parent.
