There's nothing you can really do. A lot of people who would be survivor are playing killer, so there's less people to make lobbies with.
-
I noticed with Ghostface that when someone get's hit, all survivors nearby have their camera shook a little. Its supposed to show the impact I guess. Same could be applying to Huntress where the game counts throwing a hatchet as impact.
-
I've had some luck on the Crotus Prenn Asylum because of the main building's balconies. You can use trees to block people from knocking you out stealth, but don't expect them to not see you. Hills and the such are actually pretty good because you only need your head to poke out to get both a vantage point and stalk. Night Shroud counters Borrowed Time, so you could use that. You can also use Night Shroud as a built in Deerstalker if you lose someone in the dying state. You should stalk injured survivors if you plan to leave them alone, just don't mark them: when they heal up, you'll have an instant down ready. You can use the walls on Azarov's Resting Place as cover to stalk the gens near the exit gates.
That's everything I learned so far. I saw a twitch streamer stalk somebody to almost full then get close to mark them for an instant down when the survivor was on a gen, so you might try that.
-
Hooked survivors can break him out of stealth. Also, every killer should be allowed to camp. Freddy is what happens when they can't. People are going to be playing Ghostface a lot anyway, so you might as well try to break that habit from peoplr by using Kindred. Being able to tier up is also something that's needed. Nerfing it to 7 or so seconds gives too much leniency for survivors to waste his time like Plague does when trying to get people in Broken status. If you were going to do something that drastic you'd have to give him compensation.
Besides, he's been out for less than a day. Spend the time that everyone's playing Ghostface to learn counterplay.

how will you self care in his face? He can hit awake survivors now.
You SC at pallets that get put down. Everyone used to do it before healing got nerfed.

Devs said that the action penalties add-ons will remain somewhat the same and the dresses will remain completely the same. Red Paint Brush will also start everyone out in the Dreamworld and no one can wake up from skill checks. That all came from the Q&A that was about hairstyle changes in the PTB. Someone in the Ghostface PTB saw that the Unicorn block add-on got changed to when you wake up from the clock thing, you get blindness for 60 seconds or however long, so you can gurantee that those blocks are going to be useless status effect add-ons.
Because it's an oddball out, I'm betting on snares being the Class Photo add-on or Black Box. The claws and Paint Thinner are likely going to be either increased movement speed while casting or faster teleports to generators. I'd expect sketches to remain the same. Going to be real dissapointed if you can't teleport through walls or travel a long enough distance to make up for the 5 seconds you spend slowed down though, even more if it's bound to these add-ons. Pill bottles probably make Freddy visible within 24 meters only.
I think he's going to be really weak if I'm being honest. He'll be a base killer who lost his gimmick in favor of letting survivors choose if they want Freddy to have chase potential. Seriously, I can't wait to play against Freddy, get hit, SC in his face, get a skill check, and destroy his only chase potential. Sounds like another FUN killer to me.
-
Did you use a splinter offering recently? I know it doesn't give you perks, but it could have bugged your bloodweb.
-
There's also the fact that they buffed generator aura's so people can just work away all they want without a care and get a free aura reading all of the time, that of which completely outclasses Alert and Dark Sense.

I would like to know who decided that a 4 secs fatigue was a good idea. Nurse only has 2 xD
Legion has 115% movement speed, so they can catch up to survivors by using Feral and makes the game rather "unfun". But seriously, the devs didn't want you to have the ability to injure someone, catch up quickly, and then corner them with the 3 seconds cooldown or less with add-ons. Yeah, it sucks, but it prevents exploits. Having the normal stun would be like Nurse having 115% speed. Blink, fatigue, profit.
-
On the bright side, it doesn't count towards a Mettle of Man stack. That won't matter in a week, but whatever.
-
Ghostface can possibly expose the unhooker if he camps. He does not have to wait 7 seconds before hitting a survivor. Ghostface has the power Wraith does in which he can activate his stealth and wait for the survivor to get unhooked so BT doesn't activate. The difference between Freddy and Ghostface is that Freddy can't punish Altruism, however, Ghostface can't delay the game.
-
I think an effect would be fine if it only affected the outer part of the screen. The current one is a bit forced though.
-
In regards to the Enduring and Mettle of Man changes coming, will we be seeing balance corrections in the Ghostface chapter release?

@PolarBear All of the rewards obtainable from the Rift was said to be gained from the tomes. The Rifts is explaining what the rewards of the tomes will be linked to, like the backstory of Claudette, but the tomes themselves can still be completed at any time. New tomes come out as a new Rift comes out because the rewards of the Rift come from the tones themselves. The Rift is just for show of a new type of story being added to the game after every 3 months.
-
1.) They stated that Freddy will no longer be intended to slow the game down and instead will be focused on map pressure and chase potential. That's why there won't be action speed decreases and Freddy will have the Dream Pallets and stuff.
2.) Next Dev block update or after Ghostface comes out we'll get more concrete details. He is going to come out in the next mid chaoter patch, so its likely that we'll get more information then.
-
In between the lack of proper sounds, animations, and incomplete character templates, I would say that the dev build was a very early version of Ghostface that didn't have all of the wrinkles ironed out, especially since this was a month early sneak peek.
-
Ghostface can stalk while standing up and not in stealth. The Stalk and Shrouded Hunt will likely have some buttons changed, like Stalk in the power slot and Shrouded Hunt in the second power slot. It is very early testing. I got the numbers about how long it takes to stalk from a youtube video who had analyzed some of the leaked footage and found out some numbers. It wasn't entirely accurate because they didn't know things like survivors looking at the killer, but the rest of it was useful. And by the way, you can attack straight out of stealth while crouching no Pig ambush crapl
Just search up Ghostface gameplay and you'll find lots of videos.

@Condorloco_26 I made a separate thread if you don't want to wait. Its extremely long, so you can just look at the parts you want.
-
I'd prefer for it to be something like 5~7$ if it comes out every 3 months. The DLC itself is already 8$, so adding another 20$ for 4 times a year add up to be 112$. Having the Premium track be 7$ would make buying the DLC and Premium track for only cost 60$, which is much more affordable in my opinion. We do have to wait and see what the devs have in these Premium tracks though.

I thought the Rift was separate from the Archive tomes.
It is separate to an extent. The Rift is what the focus point of the tones are, so they provide cosmetics based on whatever lore is also being revealed in the Rift. The paid version of this pass does have more cosmetics, although that is optional as explained above, and would be still be available for purchase after the Rift was already changed for the next chapter. What's similar between the Rift and the tones is that all of the rewards are linked to the quests of the tone, so the tones themselves are what gives you the cosmetics. This means that the "Battlepasses" of every chapter can be still progressed after the Rift switches to a different part of the story, and is what separates them from Fortnite or Apex as they are products that allow you to obtain your rewards at any pace, much like leveling a character that you would buy from a DLC. The content is yours and Behavior will not take that away from you if you didn't redeem all of it's rewards in time.
-
I wish everybody would stop saying that it forces people to buy the cosmetics. The dev stream said that of the past "tones" of every rift stays, so you can grind for it even after the chapter ends. That means if you want a themed cosmetic, then you can get it at ANY time.

They do care about Legion. They did give them 115% movement speed. They fixed spamming Frenzy in the chase. They fixed lunge traveling. They fixed the perk variety issue. They essentially got rid of Frank's Mixtape. They got rid of the moonwalking exploits. They added a skill ceiling with the miss penalty. They increased the base timer of the Frenzy so you could spend more time preparing to strike or reach targets. They added counterplay. They got rid of losing Frenzy from a pallet stun from the PTB.
But what do I know, the fact of the matter is that Legion has too many downsides. Its not like they have basically exposed status all game with tracking capabilities if you injure people a lot or at least waste their time if they heal. Its also not like if you don't see heartbeats, you could manually end Frenzy to keep your gauge and catch someone else off guard. Or maybe you can use Killer Instinct as a tracking tool to get people off of the objective while other survivors are mending. There is a level of tactical understanding needed to play Legion. Legion is not the same character they were before and that's just something to get used to.
Legion isn't perfect, however they're certainly better than they were before.
-
Yeah, its normal. It's not right, but its normal.
-
The MoM nerf.
-
70% on Xbox.
-
If you've got the perks and experience, I'd say go for it.
-
Simple Formula will be pretty good on him soon. Having a perk that can cut off 16 meters of your terror radius in a chase with dead rabbit would be scary.
-
You should get Spirit. She has good perk diversity, overall is fun, is viable, good add ons (she relies a bit on them though), has a high skill cap if you like that, broken add ons (really just Prayer Beads), good teachables, and good cosmetics.
Plague is weak, unappealing, frustrating, has mediocre add ons (for the most part), relatively weak or situational teachables, meh perk diversity (nothing really synergizes), and has some cosmetics that you may or may not like (personally I only like the wanderer green rarity skin). Also, her theme music can get annoying in the killer loadout at times, but that's just my opinion.
Regarding the survivors since you're buying the dlc, Adam has neat skins, although I think Jane beats him in that category. If you're buying the dlc for looks though, then I can't choose for you. Browse the store before you make the purchase in case you particularly enjoy the dlc though.
Adam has Diversion (Pebble), so that's neato if you like stealth builds. Other than that, Deliverance is nice, but is unreliable considering how often you get hooked first. Autodidact only really helps in long games as well, so that's situational and can screw over some teamates needing a quick heal.
Jane has some situational perks. Poised has great combos with perks like SB or Adrenaline, but on its own it might not help much. Gens get popped at random, so more often than not you won't be able to use it much in chases. Head On realistically is terrible and never going to serve you any use. And Solidarity (which honestly should have been what MoM's requirements should've been) is garbage. No perk icon, so people often run away. Outclassed by every other healing perk and is rather situational. Not worth it for the perks, with the exception of Poised.
To shorten this, I'll quickly run through the killer perks. Spirit Fury, Rancor, Haunted Grounds=Top tier, build dependent, versatile. Divine Intervention, Dark Devotion, Infectious Fright=Only on some killers, heavens no, and decent stand alone perk.
Hope this helped. As a recap, I think you should buy the Spirit DLC.
-
They could fix it by making a different pip requirement for each killer since, you know, most of them don't play the exact same. Or they could double your chaser points for an instadown.
-
I feel like this kind of contradicts the point of the entity. If anyone would try to get a survivor to not be hopeless, I figured it would be the entity itself since it feeds on hope.
-
If you're main gripe is having your tokens taken from BBQ, then consider that in the Darkness Among Us chapter, which was when Distortion came out, the devs introduced the mechanic that hid your aura in lockers. If that's not your cup of tea, then get within 40 meters of the downed survivor.
As for Nurse's Calling, Distortion is doing it's job. Its hiding your aura and scratch marks for 10 seconds so you can get away. Best advice for that is to be careful healing or do it when the killer's distracted.
Distortion doesn't need more tokens. The only problem it has is Freddy, who will shortly be receiving a gameplay overhaul.
-
@Supernaut They already know. Everyone already knows. It was adressed in the Q&A they did recently. Multiple times on both the forums and that Q&A session. There is a hotfix coming out this coming week. You don't need to call on the devs everytime you want to go demanding change or want them to fix a bug. They're likely busy doing something else and calling on them every thread like this wastes their time.
-
Could be possible that someone has Distortion.

@WaffleFalafel You dont play killer on console do you?
I play Legion on Xbox. Like I said, you follow them around the 360, get clear line of sight, smack 'em. It gets easier the more you do it. Maybe change your sensitivity. And besides that, if you really do want to keep some of your meter from a miss, then please elaborate as to how much meter reduction. None of you have stated a clear number yet.
-
There isn't a fix to accomadate for missing while in Feral Frenzy. The only thing I can say is that you shouldn't be missing in Feral Frenzy unless its the end of your meter, which lasts 10 seconds. Use Shadowborn, up your sensitivity, bait out the 360 with the rest of your meter, use are denial with Bamboozle, mindgame, just do something. Reducing the Feral Frenzy meter drain is not the option. If you're so inclined to disagree, bring up numbers that prove it would have counterplay and be balanced on behalf of your bad play to the survivors.
-
I don't think reverting it would be a good option. Currently missing in Feral Frenzy is the only real counterplay to getting tagged by Legion, so to remove the fatigue from missing, even if it were to deplete the gauge some, would still have negative consequences.
Take this for example: You're at killer shack looping Legion and you bait the window vault. They swing and whiff. However, because there is no cooldown to swinging, they keep running and tag you. Whatever the survivor just did in that moment was meaningless despite the fact that the survivor showed a more superior skill set. And while there could be something like a cooldown to missing like any other attack, Legion still has a fairly large lunge and superior speed. The hit would be guranteed at that point with no counterplay.
Now, I know some people find Legion hard to hit people with because of their frames and such, however that doesn't mean there isn't a work around. One way to play Legion is to become fairly close to the survivor and use the remaining time you have left in Feral Frenzy to get LOS before going for your lunge. This may require you to up your sensitivity or use something like Shadowborn though, so be wary. I play on Xbox too and don't see a problem with missing too often. It happens, but its because I got outplayed.
-
Okay, first, using Frenzy to down people instead of being able to actually catch them was the problem with Legion. There was no counterplay. As a Survivor, no matter what you did, Legion would down you eventually and without using any actual skill. Admittedly using Feral Frenzy was promoted because of the 110% movement speed, but it was a problem nonetheless. The option now is mindgaming. The survivor is already injured if you did your job right as Legion, so you basically have permanent exposed in the Chase.
Secondly, use Feral Frenzy on injured survivors. It wastes their time because they have to mend, replenishes your gauge so you can catch someone else further away, and gives you a real time locaction of every one around you so you can stop them from healing, doing gens, or prepare for a hook save. Using Feral Frenzy on injured survivors would likely also boost your bloodpoints to the intended amount.
I agree with the rest of what you said.
-
@Raptorrotas That isn't going to happen. The same idea was proposed during the PTB and the devs said that the killer could easily camp gates and it made it pretty much impossible for the last survivor to escape. So, they ultimately decided against adding it in.
-
Can confirm it's as @thesuicidefox says. I'd watch out for the basement stairs on Coal Tower though due to the door. Its rather narrow, so I don't know if the killer can still block the stairs.
-
@xmenfanatic They can't. Licence issue with Valve made this impossible.
-
Freddy does not need to be Legion with a useless status effect. It would be even worse than deep wounds because being asleep doesn't injure you. And there is a self wake up option: its called Self Care. Or Adrenaline. If you don't want Freddy to know where you are from a gen, then use Technician. Or use Bond, Empathy, and Aftercare to find teammates.
Freddy's weakness is Perks and Freddy does not need to be even weaker. Seriously, what compensation would Freddy be even getting with this colossal nerf? Just wait until the rework bud.
-
Welcome to the forums, @H3LLC0MMANDER . As much fun as that could be in theory, it wouldn't be in reality because of simple SWF. Even just two people on com's make this killer useless. Take this for example:
*Friend supposedly runs up to gen with you*
"Is this you, Bob?"
"No."
*You run away after using your advanced investigating skills on the killer*
Lack of information may make the killer scary in this game, however information is far too abundant and outside of the game's control. The killer would be a one trick pony at this point.
-
I personally run BBQ for prioritizing other survivors, Bamboozle because the Afterpiece tonic helps with pallets already, Bitter Murmer for targeting those out in the open, and Save the Best for Last to pressure on survivors to put down pallets quickly or catch them out on a mistake. @Frozenscum also has a point with ending chases quickly being essential to Clown.
-
Pretty sure the only reason this was removed was because people were abusing the lunge to gain more distance. Honestly a lunge should be 33% of the progress bar.
-
Insidious would seem like a chase perk with this new rework, so it might go against the Ghost's new perk. Also, Distressing sounds a lot like Monitor and Abuse. Mad Grit does have some severe flaws as well since 40% faster wiggling speed means they get out in about 8 seconds and increased effects of survivors struggling would make Lery's painful. Territorial Imperative does seem to be promoting the wrong kind of mindset though, that being camping.
The rest are nice, including Overwhelming Presence.
-
@slingshotsurvivor My Xbox likely overheated. I was pretty tilted at the time, so I just rushed to make this thread as a form of cooling off before I actually checked my console. I had been playing most of the day due to the blood hunt too, so I doubt this is an actual bug and was just my console spazzing out due to overuse. Thanks for responding so I could clear that up though.
-
@ABannedCat The @OP literally said he's not asking for them to be introduced into the game.
-
If it were in the game, it would likely be like old Shadowborn with a flashlight, just much more accurate.
-
I remember watching Space Coconut and he said something about how when traps get triggered, the camera of the survivor gets shifted to the trap, screwing with movement. Saw him use it too. You put it on the ground near the loop instead of in it and when the survivor triggers it, they run for a second or two in the open, making them an easy hit.
-
Its the most unique playstle to say the least. The aura reading is easy to get by once you're doing gens and even better with Mettle of Man. Just know that you might get tunneled or facecamped by killers, especially Wraiths, Trappers, and Hag. You also can't see Freddy if you're awake, so watch out because he can see you regardless of being asleep.
Edit: Spelling
