By not seeing other survivors, you give an incentive to tunnel. And by not giving the ability to vault objects at all, you've just made a worse Leatherface. He needs a rework, not a nerf.
-
@jus_Ignant Yeah, I meant extending the range you can't be seen with MoM. With the range being 16 meters, I was wondering if SWF could stack it to increase the range. Openhanded also works on Knockout, so I thought this question would be relevant.
-
I remember during the Hollowed Blight event that they said they would be trying more of the cut scene thing with a new event, so its totally possible like you were thinking. There's also the fact that the game has been getting more interactive since Clown. First it was facial animations, then it was ancient language, and now we even have a survivor that talks. Doubt its a campaign, though I wouldn't be surprised if we got more interactive lobbies with Easter eggs thrown into dialogue.
-
Its a confirmed bug right now. There are other theories stating that it isn't working with attacks that are mainly devious focused, like surprise attack from Wraith, though I haven't seen much confirmation to whether that's true or not. All I can say is stay vigilant.
-
My theory is that everyone is trying to play the new survivor or getting bloodpoints and is screwing up the queue times
-
Could you rephrase the question, please? I don't know what this is asking.
-
@DudeDelicious Ok, so first off, he is not "perfectly fine". He deperately needs QOL changes to mist and brightness as well as fixing his stupid auto aim. That comment just goes to show your bias.
Secondly, its not my choice or my wish for Freddy to get a rework. Its been confirmed multiple times he is getting one and unless the community pulls a fast one on Behavior, that's not going to change.
And thirdly, you're opinion can vary differently from other's opinions by a large margin. All of the evidence you've provided is vague and doesn't even explain why Freddy is good. What you're saying is, "If you think Freddy needs a rework, then you're just inexperienced." Freddy's skill comes from reacting to survivors and changing playstyle accordingly, not flicking a chainsaw. This makes any accomplishment with Freddy a personal victory and not something that can be easily measured as bad survivors make him a great killer and vice versa.
So if you're going to contribute to the conversation, please discuss the question above. He's getting a rework unless the vast majority of the playerbase says otherwise, like it or not. If you still disagree, then put it in a seperate thread.
-
Sounds good. Not right now though. Pretty sure the devs are going to start punishing DCs from all of the threads, so if this rework came to be, toxic Legions are going to have a field day with the perk.
-
You're kinda in a losing battle with this if you want to be winning.
Clown is considered high tier, though he is generally considered as really boring in all aspects of his power. All of his add-ons are good, though he is basically an M1 killer with extra steps.
Pig on the other hand is mid tier and has an interesting ability, though hardly versatile add-ons. A couple of her add-ons are good like Tampered Timer (shortens timer) and Jigsaw's Sketch (adds one more box to search), however a lot of her add-ons are luck dependent or are too miniscule to matter (Combat Straps removes .3 seconds of the crouch animation).
Freddy just flat out sucks, though he is the killer with the most interesting ability of the bunch with add-ons that can influence various styles of play like Classroom Photo (shows the location of all other awake survivors on the map when someone is in Dream Transition). There are some that affect mind games (Pill Bottle-doesn't show Freddy in Dream Transition), stops them from escaping (skill check add-ons), and add-ons meant to catch survivors out in the open (block add-ons that reduce Dream Transition time).
Freddy is going to be getting a rework in 7 years, (likely sooner, but you can't prove me wrong) so he could be worth it. All in all Pig would be a good mix.
Edit: Spelling error.
-
Freddy. I'm a pretty mediocre killer and I stay at ranks 12-7, so I just use a killer people don't know how to handle. When I see a good team, I use a different killer and try new things and see what works out to become better. I usually depip, though I can just rinse and repeat with Freddy when that happens.
-
That would be a much better choice, especially for solo survivors. I do think Bear traps should also apply to this, though that's just nitpicking. Survivors only in tier 3 should be allowed to have Wake Up active though and survivors who are Mend should also keep Wake Up active for 30 seconds.
The rest of it is pretty neato and would make it a usable perk.
-
This is definitely a good idea, though I am wondering why no one is bringing up Wraith. Wraith would definitely need to be within his own sort of rules if this came to fruition. This would be a huge buff to Leatherface too.
Edit: This came as an afterthought, though I still think its valid to point out that Myers also has a problem with being too fast and has one shots. Billy can ride up on people too.
-
Perks that affect a terror radius are always separate from that of the lullaby of any killer, like Huntress. So to awake survivors, he has a lullaby and for asleep survivors he has no terror radius. I haven't tested it myself, though I would like to know if the obsession's terror radius affects aura reading.
-
Assuming you aren't talking about exposed, this perk will now affect Sloppy Butcher, Thanatophobia, Hex The Third Seal (like anyone uses that), Dying Light, Overwhelming Presence, a lot of killer add ons no one uses (except maybe Huntress), Coulrophobia, and Unnerving Prescence(?). A couple of uses could be made like with Thanatophobia and Sloppy Butcher, but nothing else. It is a good counter to Dying Light.
By the way, what do you mean by cleanse speed? No more Ruin with Sloppy Butcher? And the Legion thing. Look, no one likes going against Legion, but no one also likes using a perk exclusively for the chance of 1 killer. Who even uses Slippery Meat in case of Trapper?
As for Freddy, Plague, and Doctor, just no. No one cares healing when in the Dream World, they just want to escape it, effectively ruining this perk. Fountains are for healing against Plague and she gives the broken status. And finally, this perk is a huge nerf to Doctor. Always afflicted by madness means always using Wake Up. Snap Out of It, SWF with Wake Up, easy game.
Hope this didn't come off as me insulting you, yet instead just trying to be real with you. I don't like writing objective essays on a forum meant to express opinions and ideas is all. Good thought, but could use those tweaks.
-
Dunno. I don't think any streamers are past 20, but for right now I'd say that there isn't a max. In a couple months maybe, though I don't think anyone is going to be reaching 100 devotion anytime soon. And to clarify on my response from earlier, devotion does literally nothing but show a number.
-
Its like prestiging but without the benefits. It tells you how much time you've put into the game, so that's pretty nifty.

I’m saying get rid of NOED
and make it something that activates every match when the gens are completed if all the totems aren’t cleansed.
Okay. Its still wrong, though I'll explain why. Legion runs at 132% movement speed, which is about a 15% movement speed buff. With this buff, every killer would become broken because they would catch up to survivors much more quickly than intended. After all, you can't properly loop Legion and 110% speed killers are like that for a reason. And that totem idea is stupid. It would be a living hell for solo survivors and gives a advantage that there is no real counterplay for.
-
Pretty sure this is bait. That or you just a had a very bad day.
-
You're aware Myers exists, right? And Wraith. And Vigil. And Freddy/several 24 meter terror radius killers. What about Doctor? He's supposed to have a large terror radius. Exhaustion got nerfed because the cool down was too short. If SB had a 20 second cool down, then it would be broken with Urban Evasion. Not every killer is Trapper. They have unique traits and differing playstyles.
Put some more thought into ideas like this when you do research as to WHY something is different from what it used to be. If you need an example, check out Saboteur.
-
No, blindness now gets applied to you when you go in any locker. Before you could just sit in a locker and use Object of Obsession and the killer wouldn't be able to see you. This was the fix.
-
@Meme I said that I was assuming it wasn't changed from the PTB because I haven't checked the patch notes. I've just been commenting through spare time at work as I've been busy. I'll read the patch notes later. And yes, @ImAGirl its a buff by 6%.
-
Yeah, its a thing now with all of the new releases. It will get reverted in a while, though for the time being Temple of Purgation does have an increased chance to be picked. Better use a map offering.
-
Fire Up got a mix. Assuming it didn't get changed since the PTB, it will now give you 15% increase to action speed at full stacks as opposed to before where it was 14%. The other change to it was that the new Fire Up gets that 15% slightly slower than before, although it's practically becomes the same as before with 3 to 4 stacks.
Haven't got to test Thana though, so someone else will have to provide that for you.
-
I don't know what platform you're on, though I would suggest restarting your game. On Xbox, if you turn the console off without closing the application, this issue happens.
-
Or Pharmacy could let you keep two items if you grab the medkit.
-
Huntress had a similar issue to this before with the same balance breaking mechanics and the devs have since changed that. Based off of that, its fair to report this as a bug. Of course, that is if you haven't already. Thanks for the news (console pleb over here)
-
He's bugged on both consoles. You have more luck waiting for the tier 3 scream to interrupt them than you do shocking them.
-
Surpised ScottJund hasn't been listed here. He recently put out a guide on how to loop well.

@Entità So if you check Devstream #114 Let's talk numbers, it talks about the mtachmaking right there. While it may be implemented on some level now, if you read the announcement and look at the devstream, they say that it will be coming over time and in small increments.
It is also not something we require an update for, hence why we don't get news of it. I assume that the solo survivors are brought in to the lobby around the same time as everyone else, however its vague on how it deals with reduced numbers of people. People were also expecting it to look like everyone was loading in at once, like with SWF, so it could already be live. Just search the "New Matchmaking" forums up for reference. -
Fact of the matter is that it didn't happen. It wasn't in the PTB, it wasn't hyped up to be a big change, and no one really wanted it. There wasn't a need to announce something that never happened when no one expected it or cared for it. And like I said before, they said in a devstream that it wasn't coming through. That was their official announcement.Entità said:Could not such a change be reported in large letters in the patch notes, for the benefit of all those players who do not consult the forum? I know that the change of the matchmaking system does not require a patch, because it operates on the servers, but it can be made to coincide with the release of a patch, to have the means to inform everyone in a clear way.

-
Legion with Frank's mixtape and/or moonwalking always tempts me. Can't run, hide, or loop. He doesn't even kill you quickly.
Edit: Grammar mistake. -
If you're talking about the one where they put survivors in one bucket so they all showed up at the same time at the lobby, then no. They said in a devstream that it wasn't the way they were going to go. This was likely because people would lobby dodge thinking everyone is SWF because they don't read the forums. That's everyone's best guess as to why at this moment.
-
@Maximus7 So first off, there were a couple mistakes in that video. The first one was not stopping the gen that could be heard near killer shack, poor chasing at the shack, and the pallet drop that cost him a hook.
Secondly, he was using Doctor. Doctor is a low tier killer that needs some tweaks to be better and holds little power in the chase. However, he stalls the game. He could have gone over to that gen and gotten the other survivors into tier 3 madness to stall the game, yet he kept chasing Laurie.
And for the final point, there was a perkless and add on less killer against 4 stacked survivors. This isn't exactly a fair representation of the game's imbalance when you stack the odds. Would you say the game is killer sided if you were a perkless survivor and ran against a stacked and experienced Huntress with Iridescent head? -
Lithe is actually good for looping Legion. If you're in a chase and they activate Feral Frenzy, you'll waste a bit of their time catching up to you, only to Lithe away before they can hit you from catching up. Go to another loop and Legion no longer has FF.
-
It became a pain developing new killers with always having to accomadate add-ons to Tinkerer. That and the insta-saw/machine gun build. With making Tinkerer completely different, they could just make add-ons that are in a balanced state, which before had add-ons either a bit weak or overpowered to balance it out.

Time doesn't happen chronologically. Its not Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. You could just blink and end up at a birthday party when you're 5 years old. Or in a hospital bed from being 90 years old. Everything just happens randomly.Rattman said:How time works in Slaughter House 5 tho?

Killer Instinct. Better yet, Iridescent Button.DemonDaddy said:Stealth -
Ah, I see. With that kind of perk in mind, I think it would be a nice alternative to Self Care. The numbers I would change though, like giving a 5% decrease for every skillcheck. Starting point could be 0/5/10% max though with that. Just about 1 free heal and an actual thought process around getting hit next time.PigNRun said:I think he means making skill check bonuses (aka how much you progress through a bar when you succeed a skillcheck) worse the more you heal with SC. Like, by default, it gives 5% progress, then 3%, then 1%, and so on.
-
Disclaimer: I haven't played the PTB. However, I watched a bit of Ardetha's stream about the PTB. He seemed to comment how he had actually been pushed out of the pallet a bit when swinging through a pallet. Maybe pallets will get a little buff with the next update.
-
People who have played this game a long time have consistently hit DS, Overcharge, and great skill checks in general. Assuming you are talking about the PTB Self Care, I don't think adding a perk that just makes skill checks a little harder is going to be a real penalty.
-
@adalesmo I would agree that Doctor needs a change in the exhaustion debuff, however I would keep it the way exhaustion works now with now running. Putting a 30 second (or 25) timer would be nice if he shocked you and ran off as its not really needed.
The other killers are where I start to disagree though. Huntress has add ons that do affect the survivor with the requirement that you do hit them and are limited in time. Pig requires you to be fully downed before it works. Furthermore, why would a Pig tunnel the only person not on gens? Mori, DS, bad save, and endgame are all I can think of and are completely subjective to every killer. Causing Exhaustion just makes sure you can't Sprint Burst to a Billy box. Pig is only going to tunnel if you're easy pickings. -
Is this specifically a Doctor complaint or other killers like Huntress as well?
-
I just stay at high ranks for survivor because either one of a couple things happen for me: I get a coward team that does stuff like gen tap, SWF that are there just to bully the killer, or elitists who call me trash and use the excuse "rank doesn't matter" to justify their actions. Don't see how other people get a kick out of deranking unless they're farming.
Killer is a bit different in my opinion. Killer shouldn't be deranking and using that "rank doesn't matter" excuse, however I do see the problem with queue times. As a beneift, those bad survivors who gen tap and stuff get the chance to get gud. There's a problem where a killer deranks past rank 10 though, and that's not right.
The devstream today did say the watch a podcast about this issue recently and are reviewing this problem though, so that's good. -
@Luc_ius I do get what you're saying and a couple things should be added because of your points.
1.) Regain a health state if you are downed and the endgame starts. Sticks with Adrenaline.
2.) Repairing a Gen in the endgame is 25% faster and opens a gate.
3.)There is 8 meter immunity to traps at a gate door. Open Handed extends this. Only one Open Handed can be active at a time in a match.
4.)If you're the 3rd survivor to die, you get a 8,000 blood point boost. -
@AntiJelly Then change the spawn requirements. If the Killer is a Billy, then the gates spawn far away. Just have the gates spawn a good distance away regardless of killer. There isn't much of fix past that I'll admit. However if we added a mechanic where the hatch spawns after a while, survivors would just camp the hatch. Patrolling should at least take a while on the killer's side and end game perks from both sides should at least help that.
-
I would prefer they just make the crouch speed as fast as the original Combat Straps and for the new CS give a 4% increase in movement.
-
Just make BK only half as effective when SC is being used as a balance change.
-
@TimeMonster Wow, I was wrong. I think the point stands that the time was too high for SC originally, however I'm going to leave the calculations to you for that addressing how long it actually takes. Wiki only gave me the Sloppy Butcher percent decrease, and I still screwed up the percentage (never was the best at them). Not going to change my comment so they see yours and I feel changing it now would just be a poor attempt at covering up a screwup.
Could you put the new SC time though (25%)? I'm looking at the numbers to see how I got that wrong and improve. -
Don't panic. Wasting a few seconds being hesitant can lose you a game when everyone on the survivor side knows both what they are going to do (hook, gen, loop) and what you are going to do. Have the next thought planned out while you carry someone to a hook. Every 15 seconds think about a Gen that could be done from you wasting time. Be efficient is all I can say.

Fan Creations. There was an actually good FNAF one a while ago.
