yeah but those players can type in chat right? Ive seen a total of 1 windows player, idk about stadia tho forgot that existed. Either way its definetly more likely they console since thats most of the playerbase

You act like everyone who can type in chat does

Its something i specificly notice console players do, idk its seems like they are used to people not being able to look away in time but like they do this specific thing where when after picked up theyll shine thier flashlight at the killer in the direction theyll turn, and it never works wether im seing in in bond or the killer going against it.

Im not saying console players have lower IQ

You do know cross-play symbol could also poor up for windows and stadia players right.

In the same way that as a console player not every time you see the cross play symbol it means it's a PC player

  • My main problem with Legion is the power punishes you whether you use it correctly or not.

A 4 second stun regardless of how many people you hit with frenzy, whether the timer runs out or cancel it yourself.

    For example let's use deathslinger.

You will only receive a stun if you allow the chain to break.

If you hit the survivor you don't receive a stun instead you awarded ( even if it's not the survivor you're currently reeling in)

If you think the chain is about to break and you can't make the hit you could always swing to intentionally disconnect the chain and not received the stun

Legion does not have this doesn't if you hit all four survivors you still get the 4 seconds stun or if you cancel the power yourself before the timer runs out you still get the 4 seconds stun.

Basic attacks basic attacking with the Legion will reduce your power bar no other killer suffers from this problem.

Can you imagine spirit or Freddy losing a chunk of their power bar because they hit somebody normally.

Now a lot of people say this is to stop intense damage stacking which is pretty much a nonsense excuse.

When you have spirit, deathslinger and demo who can end chases ridiculously quickly by getting a basic attack and then quickly using their power to get the second hit Legion not being able to do it with a non-lethal ability is ridiculous.

I think Legion is a decent killer not as bad as a lot of people say they are but right now I think they need an add-on pass and a severe reduction to how punishing their ability can be

  • I'm still here rallying in for them to return the blue glow back to the Day of the Dead cosmetics.

  • I want you to do me a little experiment play a couple of matches of killer and when you're in a chase of a survivor I want you to vault everytime they vault ( with the exception of pallets obviously)

Even if it's more efficient for you to just walk around the vault I still want you to "just vault the window"

After you're done about 10 matches are so come back and tell me how it actually feels.

Well I don't agree with disconnection if I ever get haddonfield I will go afk in the basement.

Why because it's not fun to play on that map when people constantly keep using those infinite fences.

If it's such a colossal problem to you stop using the offering

  • Furtive chase

It's attached to the condition of hooking your obsession to power it up. fair enough

It can reduce your terror radius by 16 at max stacks. Awesome can't wait

But only in chases. Wait...... what why

Oh if your obsession dies or dcs the perk deactivates and you lose all your stacks. I'M SORRY WHAT

Don't worry we have an obsession switching mechanic when somebody saves the obsession. Alright that's slightly better.

But if that person who saves the obsession happens to be on death hook and you don't have full stacks you can go suck a follicle lemon. Of course ..... what was I expecting...... thanks devs.

I've said this before but layering a perk with conditions upon restrictions upon even more conditions only serves to make the perk extremely bad. Normally this could be mitigated if the effect of the perk is really strong (Devour hope) however the effects of furtive chase are terrible a terror radius in a chase is not worth it.

It's decent I guess for Killers who switch targets a lot but these Killers are usually strong enough they don't need the perk.

Hell if you want it for it's obsession switching qualities nemesis just does a better job.

Furtive chase needs to be taken back to the drawing board

I don't know if you're drunk or delusional, but I see loads of people arguing over Jason or Pennywise, much more than Springtrap, where are you pulling these lies from lmao, get real

People rarely arguing about Jason usually they want in the game the argument against him is he already has a game.

Pennywise or Jason to be included is usually something the vast majority of people one hence why it's not argue as much.

Springtrap usually has people arguing for and against it very frequently. Jason and pennywise usually have people rooting for them and very really arguing against them.

Jason and pennywise are the two most requested Killers

It's hard to know how old they are, because they arrive from different time periods all the time. However, we can put it into context next to survivors, who tend to be from modern times (Benedict Baker and Vigo are exceptions, of course).

Here's the ages (Relative to survivors, and my rough guesses, even if they don't physically age, they are still gaining years):

    1. Plague: 1000s of years old.
    2. It's hard to pin down the Hag's age, due to her growing up isolated from civilization. However, the waterlogged shoe infers either Native America, Africa, or Pacific Islands. If Native America, that would be the early 1800s, but if pacific islands then it could be anywhere from 1700s-1900s. Africa could even be today, it's just unknown. However, going by the map, I'm going to assume Native America. So, that would make her at least 200 years old.
    3. Huntress: From WW1, makes her around 100 years old.
    4. Nurse: I assume it's from around the post-WW1 era, due to the hard times referenced and the garb being an evolution of WW1 nurse garb. This makes her around 90 years old.
    5. The Clown was confirmed to have been born in 1932, making him 87 years old.
    6. I think Billy and Trapper are from the 1950s, but it's not clear. Around 70 years by my estimation.
    7. I think Doctor is from the 1960s, due to his affiliation to the CIA and his role as an information extractor from spies (presumably communist). This would make him at least 20 around that time, so he should be around 89-90 years old by now.
    8. I think Wraith is from the 1960s-1980s, due to his occupation and relation to the mob, but like Trapper and Billy, it is not clear.
    9. Texas Chainsaw Massacre takes place in the 70s-80s. That makes LF roughly 50-60 years old.
    10. Freddy Krueger is from the 70s, making him roughly 60 years old.
    11. Halloween takes place in the 80s, making Myers 50 years old or so.
    12. The Spirit is from Japan when it was becoming automated. This occurred around the 1990s, so I can assume she is around 30 years old.
    13. Ghostface's earliest newspaper clipping we can read is in 1993, so we can assume he was 21-30 years old at that publication. So, we can assume he is around 46-50 years old.
    14. Pig is from Saw, which takes place in the early 2000s, so around 30 years old.
    15. Legion is probably the youngest at middle 2000s, since they're still 19 years old.

You don't age in the Entity's realm it's timeless. If you get taken to it at the age of 20 you remain 20 until you leave.

For example the Legion were taken around 1996. If they did age they definitely wouldn't still be teenagers.

Amanda was taken when she was 33

Myers would be 21 or 22

    Only Frank is 19

    Julie is 17 - 18

Susie is contentious but most likely is 15 - 16 until proven otherwise

    Joey who knows

  • @Elena said:

But Springtrap is the one I see the most arguing over and one the community is the most split about.

That is some bullshit, and a lot of it clearly. I see the majority of the community wanting iconic horror characters like Jason, Xenomorph, Pennywise, Chucky etc. Oh and don't forget Sidney and Brenda. Springtrap compared to them is nothing in my opinion, Springtrap isn't a horror classic killer.

Sick of the springtrap you clearly can't even read the thing you're quoting.

Quote you referenced is not saying springtrap is the most requested it's saying it's the most argued and contestant about.

People wanting Jason or pennywise is pretty much agreed upon with very little arguments.

If you're going to qoute something make sure you read it properly

This year's anniversary event was probably the best event in a while since the 2019 Lunar new year event

  • The Entity allows Clown and by extension Maurice to traverse the realms and set up anywhere they want so there's no real reason for him to have his own special realms.

Talbot Grimes came to the Entity's realm as a survivor not as a killer it's only because of his indulgence, addiction and research in the Pustula Flower and its serum allowing the entity to twist him into a killer hence why he probably doesn't have a realm based around his memories made.

As for Ghostface no clue. Maybe because of his booty

  • Every side has strong annoying meta builds. You can't complain about one while defending the other

  • Focus on the generators in the centre then expand out.

If you give the killer out generators that are super close to get them and it's super easy to patrol that on you.

Run déjà vu until you learn how to complete generators in an optimal fashion that gives the killer them the furthest amount of distance to travel to patrol

  • @AskingForHelp said:

I can understand a need for the DC penalty to prevent people from disconnecting on purpose. But I don’t think it needs to go to 48 hours or beyond to get the message across. A few hours is enough to keep people from doing it or at least give them a clean slate after a period of time. I don’t appreciate not being able to play the game I’ve never felt so stomped on as a player in any other video game than this one. Even those with DC penalties at least allow you to rejoin and avoid the penalty in the case that it was on accident. I think if there was a way to compensate the killer for being gone it would totally be doable. For instance maybe start depleting the sacrificial timer until the survivor returns to the match. Once that timer is up then the survivor is completely removed from the game and that’s where the ban would then go into effect.

As Orion said if a few hours was enough to get people to stop disconnecting you wouldn't have received a 48-hour ban.

Keep in mind there are some games with this connection ban penalties that will go from 24-hours to immediately jumping into a couple of days or even a week.

If all of those disconnections were unintentional in because of your internet then you probably should make sure you get a more stable connection before playing if however they were a result of you actively hitting the leave game button it wasn't accidental

  • It's probably because using ninja will make it easier to reach a lot of people outside of the Dead by daylight fanbase.

The no-sabo event hook is a relic of pre-rework sabo, when hook re-spawns took 3 minutes. It doesn't make sense anymore (after all, event gens can be corrupted/regressed etc.), but it's probably not a high-priority, if at all, on the change list.

It's less of a relic more of the fact that survivors went out of their way to specifically target event hooks and nothing else.

Some survivors teams would not care if you got a regular hook they wouldn't go out of the way not let you get the event one though that's the only reason that change actually happened

  • @Danoobiel said:

I think Otz and his community proposed changes would make the game better with little changes.

DS + Locker is down right dumb and infuriating. The real problem with DS is the counterplay, if we can even call it that, the slugging. I don't want to lie on the ground for two minutes because the killer is afriad that I run DS. When I play killer I don't want to leave people on the ground and have to run a timer for every survivor to know when thier DS ends. This is a Lose / Lose Situation.

The buffs to Clown and Mikey's early game are no brainers.

As are the changes to the key skins and survivor skins. The Broken key should be broken. No Clones.

Ruin + Undying gives too much slowdown, to the point the better SWF now bring maps and Detectiv's Hunch to counter it.

OoO is totally broken on SWF with coms, you basicly have no choice but to tunnel the OoO user out of the game or have everything you do being called out thanks to wallhacks. If the OoO user is competent... good luck with that.

Iridescent head is broken. There are people that normally don't play Huntress but sink all their BP into her to have an easy time ranking up. So they only play her with Iridescent head. It's foolproof.

Spirit needs better counterplay. Heck, she needs ANY counterplay.

There are many more propsed changes, you can check out the vid on his youtube, if you are interrested.

That really didn't addressed what I said in the post.

Ds suggested change doesn't think the main problem with it well yes the locker tech is annoying it is nowhere near the main problem with ds.

I didn't mention having a problem with the clown or Myers change so I don't know why it's relevant

My problem with his suggested change for Undying was that it would ruin the point of it being a gamble insurance perk. The only thing you really need to do with Undying is remove the Aura reading and give it to Thrill of the hunt instead.

This make Undying a passive totem protection however it's a gamble because Undying might be cleansed first.

This also turns thrill of the hunt into something that she will use for active totem protection the slowdown and aura reading will allow you to do the job of defending the Perk but you're the one that has to put in the work for it.

That changed Undying will make sure it doesn't do too much and will also help you with the counter of cleansing dull totems without having your aura seen.

I mention nothing to do with keys or or object of obsession so I don't know why it's relevant for you to bring it up

In fact to save me the time of constantly typing out I never mentioned it so I don't know why you're bringing it up up I'll leave it with this I only had a problem with the way he handled decisive strike, Noed and Undying outside of that I think the changes are perfectly fine.

I want to disagree with your comment on that idea (an opinion shared by @UMCorian ) that the devs comments somehow only apply to the survivors of Dead By Daylight. Until we see a creepy child killer I'll continue to maintain that this statement from the devs operate both ways, simply because there's no real reason to think otherwise. We know that the entity encourages its killers to do its bidding in a variety of ways including torture: mentally, emotionally, and physically. The killers either willingly choose to serve the entity or are forced into it, and we know that the killers who look less human and are more twisted and corrupted are the ones who were tortured most. Though this isn't ever really explicitly visualized, I think the nature of the game and its confirmed lore are enough to make people (and the devs) uneasy about this topic.

I want to make clear that the realm of the entity isn't a nice place for anybody (unless you're an insane serial killer [For example, we know Ghostface is canonically the killer that is closest to straight up enjoying spending his days in the realm of the entity]), survivors or killers. The killers themselves are put through their own hell, again under threat of force and torture if they do anything against the will of the entity. It's also been implied that the Killers never see anyone outside the trials, where the survivors meet each other at the campfire, the killers are forever alone, tormented by their isolation, which potentially fuels their anger, rage, frustration, which then manifests into bloodlust.

So no, I don't think it only applies to survivors, I do think it goes both ways, in which case, that automatically shoots down anyone's arguments about the Legion being any younger than at most 17 years of age. But it's within decent likelihood every character in Dead By Daylight is at least 18 years of age.

As for Frank getting his hands on Drugs and Alcohol but not any of the others, I assume you're referring to Memory 472 from the Legion's Story "Soldiers of Mayhem" in Tome III: Escalation. The quote just states that he should up to the party with gifts, (likely as a show of good faith and courtesy): "Frank shows up with drugs and drinks. Party treats." However, nowhere in the lore does it ever state that it had to be Frank, and that Joey and Susie were incapable of obtaining these products themselves, legally or otherwise. So the implication you make that Frank is the only one who can legally drink and then buys this stuff for the rest of them is purely an assumption.

Also I don't generally consider the cosmetics as truly reliable sources of information, so I'm not exactly swayed by the evidence you brought up. The most reliable cosmetics lore-wise are the ones that actually ship with the tome and are connected to a major story, that would be Bush Party for Julie - the one with the first mask that the Legion wore as a group and Julie wearing a red flannel and hood. It actually does say in the description of the outfit as a whole "Rugged and confident apparel for throwing back a few..." so we know that Julie does drink (confidently too) at the very least, which again, may point to at least her being the most likely of the group to be the same age as Frank.

Although you and I would probably find more common ground saying that she's 18, since this mutually covers both of our theories about Julie at the very least, though again according to my own personal headcanon she's the same age.

Which, again, if everyone is younger than Frank (& Julie) then that would potentially put Susie and Joey at 17, although I do want to mention younger is a subjective term and doesn't actually have to be in years, it could be that everyone is Younger than Frank by a couple of months. Not quite a satisfying answer, but it's still a logical rationale.

P.S. @Volfawott I want to know where exactly you found that Frank was held back a year? I did a bunch of digging and nowhere in the lore is it expressly stated that Frank was held back, not in the introductory lore that the Legion was first shipped with on chapter release, and not with their subsequent story in the archives either. It's something that I just skimmed by at first, but I now realize that if this isn't true it kind of crumbles your entire theory, because that would mean if he wasn't held back a year and is 19 years old he most definitely wouldn't be a senior. And since he's not a senior but the cosmetic is still under the collection name "Fairview Seniors" that does prove the point that cosmetics are unreliable sources of canon information.

As for being the most twisted or most monstrous meaning day what tortured the most this is actually incorrect people like Hag weren't tortured they work for The Entity because they made an agreement with The Entity.

So far the only confirmed victims of torture have been nurse doctor and Trapper.

Billy and Bubba are implied to be afraid of torture and Punishment but there's no implication as to how their past experiences with it was

That is with the assumption that he wasn't held back.

I tend to use the archives for the Legion very sparingly considering it's already filled with a lot of retcon that doesn't align with their actual lore.

However if you want to use it he is in the same classes as Julie but not Joey or Susie in fact she has to introduce him to them later on at her party.

We already know that he's 19 at the time also if you read the description of his jacket Fairview senior outfit you read this "Punching a basketball referee and flunking classes weren't enough for Frank to get out of Ormond." Held the flanking classes alone is definitely reason enough to assume that he would be held back.

Also yes well Julie's outfit does imply that she drinks it doesn't necessarily mean that you could use it as sufficient evidence for her age the Legion members do drugs which is not exactly legal for their age so it's very easy for Julie to be below the legal drinking age and still drinking in fact that just kind of happens in real life as well with teenagers.

The reason why the statement they made it doesn't go both ways was specifically because they mentioned you can't have somebody like the hag rip out dustin's guts. Considering he made that distinction it means he was not addressing this towards Killers.

If the statement was taken both ways he would have said something more along the lines of having our characters in inappropriate situations but considering he only specifically mentioned survivors and how they would interact with the brutality that kills can put out to them it's quite obvious this is only directed towards survivors.

In the same way my theory hinges on Frank being held back your theory hinges on the statement going both ways. Which arises a problem as the only time the statement or similar statements are ever brought up it's in the context of describing survivors not Killers so it's safe to assume that it only applies to them.

  • You can simply just not sabo for 2 weeks.

The ability to Sabo event hooks was removed because the survivors went out of their way to just abusively only target event hooks.

Honestly if certain survivor players didn't abuse the hell out of hook sabo concepts during events you wouldn't have to deal with this.

As long as there's the potential for abuse to make the game unfun for Killers it shouldn't be brought back.

This didn't just start with the Halloween event it's been a thing for events with special hooks for a while

well, in the Devs version Amanda "was never shown to have died", so the Entity took her mere seconds before death, much like Spirit later.

at least thats why they said John didnt make it in, as he had indeed died on screen.

But Amanda died on screen in fact she died before John.

( side note I think it's kind of sad that Amanda didn't realise how much John truly care about her.

She thought she was just a pawn in the end and her last memory of him was his utter disappointment in her that she failed her test.

Despite all that Amanda along with Jill was one of the last things John thought back to as he was dying he was disappointed in her but doesn't mean he didn't still love her like a daughter)

  • @TapeKnot said:

Another thing is in the entries it says Talbot tears his eyes out, but in the video his eyes are still intact. Just how much of what happened was a fever dream and how much was real?

As stated by other people the tearing his eyes out might just be an illusion or a fever dream however you also got to remember that The Entity can essentially respawn both survivors and Killers with all wounds and injuries they received removed.

Hence why survivors could get killed and sacrificed in brutal ways and come back perfectly fine in one of the Dev streams they also stated then if by some miracle a killer were to be killed they would just respawn like a like a survivor would.

This would also explain what happens to the blight mutations that Talbot inflicted on the other Killers The Entity could simply just respawn The Killers back to normal once its blight the cycle is over.

Only Frank's age is clearly confirmed, however it's my personal headcanon that Julie is the same age because they're in a relationship and the lore specifies that the people at Julie's party were younger than him (IE Joey and Susie), not Julie herself.

Aside from this we can't say for certain, however, it was commented on by either the devs themselves or just other Fog Whisperers / Content Creators around the time the Stranger Things chapter was speculated as the next chapter release. They said the devs would never select minors (AKA the main cast of the show, so Mike, Lucas, Will, Dustin, Eleven, etc.) to put into the game because it would create bad publicity, having some 14 year olds being brutally cut, beaten, impaled, and murdered isn't a good look even for a horror game. So from this we can basically infer that anyone 17 and under won't be making an appearance in the game, and everyone in the realm of the entity is a (more or less) consenting adult (lol).

Which would mean that Joey and Susie are both 18.

Personally speaking, 19 & 18 aren't exactly what come to mind when I think of the word "underage", so in most cases I would say no except for the only way I could imagine that word applying to them is in terms legal drinking age in the US.

However, (and I think it's kinda obvious where I'm going with this)

Mount Ormond (as far as I'm aware) is in Canada. Where the legal drinking age is eighteen years of age.

So by no metric would any of the members of the Legion be considered "underage".

I think the comments they made about the Stranger things kids only really applied to survivors as they're the only ones who actively get killed and maimed where is The Killers don't.

You are so can't really take drinking into account as Frank is the one who gets alcohol and drugs for them and Frank is 19 meaning you can't really use that as a metric to figure out the ages.

It honestly depends on how accurate you want to consider cosmetic descriptions as this is the closest we actually get to age confirmation on any Legion besides Frank.

We know Frank was held back a year which is why he's older than his Legionnaires.

Both Frank and Julie's uncommon outfits reference them as seniors.

    20201026_195211.png 20201026_195120.png

Since we know Frank is 19

This puts Julie at 17 or 18 ( usual age range for seniors not counting being held back or moving up a year)

With Susie we have her basically being stated to be a sophomore.

    20201026_195154.png

This realistic puts her around the ages of 15 or 16

As I said in a previous post on here we have no idea when it comes to Joey so so if the question comes down to are the Legion underage.

    Frank - no

    Julie - maybe

    Susie - yes

    Joey - Unknown

    1. You get a farming killer and just wanna dc and find another match.
    2. the servers or the killer have a high ping and you just wanna dc because this game will be unfun
    3. you dont like to farm but you also wanna give 2 people the escape because of reasons so you dc
    4. there is a gamebreaking bug like the hill glitch a month ago
    5. someone brings a map offering for their advantage to make the game as boring as possible

DC penalties are good sure but sometimes there is a reason for it. when you dc all the time yeah getting a penalty is deserved. even otz disconnects when he gets some cute survivors to give them both a escape instead of farming. at the end the game is a casual game and very far away being a competetive game.

i really hope dbd will get some AI as replacement for DC's like in the mobile version.

    1) not a valid reason to disconnect ruin other people's experience

    2) it can be annoying but still not a reason disconnect and ruin other people's experience

    3) I think you're seeing a pattern here this is basically number one

    4) so far the only valid reason for disconnecting you have given

    5) not a valid reason for disconnecting in fact probably the worst reason you have given

So I don’t see many people playing as Laurie which is why this might not have been changed yet, but she’s one of my favourites and her default hair drives me insane. It just looks like straw and almost translucent? lol.

Will it ever be changed? I love the hair they gave her for the DLC cosmetic and I wish I could have that as her P3 face. Is there a particular reason that Bill received a rework to his default face and Laurie didn’t?

I hate Feng's default hair despite the face I main her.

We have three other versions of it which is worse.

    1) Purple Rift Version (Like the colour hate the hair. The colour makes it slightly tolerable

    2) Entity Crown Version

    3) Bloody Version

I suppose most people with common sense understand tunneling as being followed as soon as you're unhooked, and instead of choosing unhooker you focus plainly on unhooked, not minding body blocks or anything.

Oh come on, who still believes in doing good brings good back? I played as killer quite often to try to hook everyone twice, but let them escape and you won't guess how often I was met with teabagging at gates or toxicity in chat after game.

Imo a lot of DBD players are brain-dead toxic players with superiority complex. If giving them what they deserves hurts innocent ones in the process I suppose it will be necessary sacrifice.

I never said doing good brings good back what I meant was at least you're making people's experience better because they're not facing constant camping and tunneling at least they have a few good matches sprinkled throughout

  • Well there's nothing that can really be done about tunneling and camping because most of the community doesn't have a complete consensus on what it is.

Is there are people who think pigs chasing them when they have a reverse bear trap on is tunneling.

There are people who think as long as decisive strike is still activated when they go down they were tunneled regardless of if the killer hooked other people or not.

If you want a changing to tunneling and camping make sure there is a consensus about what that actually is first because you can't have people calling tunneling in wishy-washy situations.

As for your protest let's call it that's not a good thing if you're actively planning on just ruining the fun of other people you're part of the problem not the solution.

Play better and make the game fun for the people you encounter when you are a killer if you make it actively worse then you're legitimately the problem regardless of your cause. However as long as you're not doing anything that is bannable you're free to do whatever you want

"First the comments about no more exclusives had come before releasing the event and code cosmetics to everybody in fact it was even before the death garden masks."

Your reading comprehension sucks here was my quote about death garden masks "now I had forgotten about death garden mask" which did not say it was not an exclusive.... i had totally forgotten there WAS a damn mask. so READ don't see one or two words and think you know what was intended.

"Secondly they have stated no intention of giving the limited DwightCrow cosmetic out again so no it is an exclusive." PROOF PLEASE,lack of proof is not proof of your assertion.

"Nobody wants anything to be handed to them for free or without any effort in fact the community has never had a problem with time-limited exclusives that were earnable by everybody for example the pro-pain hammer." Actually when they pulled the "we are giving these to everyone" there WAS backlash about it, because those pushed to get those out during the event. Guess you didn't want to go that far back in time on forums to see that.

"This charm however is extremely in balanced and console players are at a disadvantage. It's not earnable in a fun and unique way in fact for you to increase your chances of getting it you usually have to just not play the game and sit in the store screen waiting." 1) they are, 2) there have been codes that were found in easter eggs that put people like me at a disadvantage because i don't always read the forums or twitter etc, yet I do not complain.

"Fog whisperers are having to go up above and beyond to try to get the code out in the fairest way possible and even with that console players are still at a disadvantage." I'm so sorry that people tried to help and people still complained even about them! but you know what? in the stream I was in I saw many console people getting their dwightcrows! maybe the streamer didn't do it right for them I don't know I only have the experience of one. this does not equate to exclusivity, it is known that consoles are not equal to pcs yet people play on it and want to every few years shell out 400-800 bucks for a new console and all the games that they used to play once again at full price when a PC does not have to always be updated every few years and still plays the games that were on it before.

"Going around making statements like people don't want to put a modicum of effort into it is completely misreading the situation. " Statements people have made in posts "I don't want to enter these numbers! JUST give it to us when we log in!" and many more like it, I guess if the post doesn't fit your narrative you don't continue to read.

Don't worry I won't disprove you again because i don't want to deal with the headache.

You haven't disproved me to begin with you complain that my reading comprehension sucks but you completely forget what that statement was directed towards.

"also the devs never said they wanted to stop exclusives they just wanted to remove unlimited time exclusives (golden feng, etc)"

This was the statement I was contesting when I mentioned and the comment about exclusives had appeared appeared long before they gave away things like a golden feng. The statement about death garden was me giving you a relevant time frame I even gave you an even better one by saying another time it popped up was when people were asking for a platform exclusive character because PC had an exclusive character and consoles didn't.

You say you won't disprove me again yet you haven't disproved me to begin with you've made a lot of a false statement and false equivalent that's not disproving anybody

again if you consider the dwight killer charm an exclusive then the rift is an exclusive. even though they are planning to make rift items available. the difference in all of this is the FACT that people know how long they will have to wait to buy it well a minimum time. this is not true exclusivity when the intent is to put it out later. (differing from previous code exclusives, they did not intend to do that at all and worked to get it fixed up) now I had forgotten about death garden mask as well as the payday masks.... can't get them for various reasons. now that you'd have to ask the devs about directly. also i never said people should or should not be irritated what I was saying was people should stop calling things exclusives when they are not exclusives in that the intent is to bring them to the market. also the devs never said they wanted to stop exclusives they just wanted to remove unlimited time exclusives (golden feng, etc) with exception of a few things like Legacy skins which are not available any more and can't be gotten.

First the comments about no more exclusives had come before releasing the event and code cosmetics to everybody in fact it was even before the death garden masks.

So yes they did in fact they say they wanted to stop exclusives in fact the point came up when somebody asked if consoles were going to get an exclusive character like PC had bill.

In fact the statement of not wanting to do exclusives was given again when they gave the event cosmetics away.

Well yes the third-party abuses was a reason they wanted to help with the code abuse but that was not the reason only reason they offered it to everybody

Secondly they have stated no intention of giving the limited DwightCrow cosmetic out again so no it is an exclusive.

Your false equivalency to the Rift doesn't work Rift items were stated from the beginning even before the Rift fully came out to be coming to the store after a while once the specific Rift closed.

DwightCrow had no such statement so yes it is an exclusive.

Nobody wants anything to be handed to them for free or without any effort in fact the community has never had a problem with time-limited exclusives that were earnable by everybody for example the pro-pain hammer.

It was limited to the specific event but anybody who was playing turn it and have a fair chance. A PC player didn't have a massive advantage of getting it over a console player and vice versa.

This charm however is extremely in balanced and console players are at a disadvantage. It's not earnable in a fun and unique way in fact for you to increase your chances of getting it you usually have to just not play the game and sit in the store screen waiting.

Fog whisperers are having to go up above and beyond to try to get the code out in the fairest way possible and even with that console players are still at a disadvantage.

Going around making statements like people don't want to put a modicum of effort into it is completely misreading the situation.

  • @Freki said:

the codes are limited for each one to 10, the fog whisperers have a butt-ton of them to give out. they are not sellable because when they display them people don't grab it and hold on to it they enter it... these are as exclusive as the rift cosmetics and charms are. they have said they will release them atleast 6 months or more after in the store. These are not exclusives like golden feng that was grabbed up by people at a convention and held on to because they had unique codes and then sold for real life money. that was a true exclusive at the time that made people money. I'm sorry you don't like it but how else are you to do it? I don't see any solid ideas on how to do it.

Give you a hint: they've handed them out at conventions, people complain. they've hidden them as easter eggs and people complained (web page easter eggs) then they hand them out on the forums and people complain. now they put it to where people are most likely to be (there are more people that watch dbd than play it so they give it to the fog whisperers to distribute to their communities (same item not special to the streamer) and as always people complain. I mean what do you want? something free for no work on your part? wow.... you got that... all those exclusives that ps4/xbox never had as they were steam codes? they are everyone's that logs in at all! come on put forth a modicum of effort.

It's not a matter of effort.

If a company makes a stand about no more exclusives then does more exclusives (deathgarden masks) it leaves a bad taste in people's mouths

Then later down the line the reinforce their past statement by giving the code cosmetic to everyone ( also stop the third party scammers in their tracks) as well as the event cosmetics. regardless of your position on that action it proved that they were keeping up with statement as they were now making sure people were included.

Now we have another exclusive being distributed where two quarters of the community are already at a disadvantage because console typing and despite addressing concerns about this statement haven't really been made.

Whether you consider it whining or not is irrelevant. People have the right to be irritated and annoyed at this they went back on their statement twice despite the fact they showed that they were willing to be committed to it.

Even now things like the death garden masks are still exclusives.

I'm fine if they want to do exclusives but if that's the case they need to stop saying they're done done with it

If they are truly done with exclusives then they can't just pick and choose. Just like you did with the event cosmetics and the code cosmetics things like the death garden stuff and Dwight charm shouldn't be locked behind exclusives..

  • How does the Challenge even relate to anyone in the rift.

  • It's pretty much something you do if you want to become a fog Whisperer it's just so it's easier to notice your content and your desire to become a fog Whisperer.

  • To be fair we've never really gotten a lot for Christmas anyway.

Whether it was last year or the year before that.

Christmas tends to be an event that really gets a lot dumped into it.

    Lunar new year

    ( summer barbecue)

    Halloween

These 3 have really been the only events that tend to get anything

  • It's annoying but you can't really fix it without messing more stuff up down the pipeline.

Even though I personally don't consider it fun people have the right a to slug for the 4K if they so choose.

You can't really take it away effectively without making it overly abusable.

As I said as a Band-Aid fix you could give The Killers some bonus bloodpoints and emblem scores for forcing a Hatch escape this could probably somewhat reduce the amount of slugging for the 4K you might seem.

As you won't need to slug for achievements or challenges anymore.

    For example

If the last person on the map uses the Hatch the killer gets a scoring event called force escape it will reward slightly less bloodpoints sacrifice but awards the same emblem score.

This way going for adept achievements or archives challenges doesn't require you to slug and the people who like bloodpoints get an extra little incentive
