All hit boxes need changed tbh. It’s strange that a giant katana and a puny knife have the same hit box size

That's not going to work as effectively as you think it is.

To make this work you would have to change the point of view for each killer depending on their weapon.

Right now you can tell if your weapons going to hit depending on the distance between you and the survivor if pyramid heads sword had a different range in comparison to legions knife this would mean that hits that you normally familiar with on pyramid head won't work on Legion.

Now you can argue they could just compensate by this by adding certain advantages to each killer depending on their weapon hit box for example killers with smaller weapons have faster movement speed.

  • Jess- Honestly my favourite character would be the person I want to be in Dead by daylight the most it would also be nice for someone to fit the preppy girl archetype as a survivor. She's proven that she could survive messed up situations even when severely injured and alone.

I could definitely see them making perks that reflect around how she was able to survive when in the mine shaft by herself and messed up.

It would be nice to have some more injured based perks.

You could also throw in a lone wolf perk

My idea would be two injured based perks and one Lone Wolf perfect just helps you out when you're so low

Matt - A little bit skittish but definitely someone who steps up and tries to protect those around them he tries to save Emily and can help and protect Jess for the mines. Definitely my second favourite to add to the game.

I could definitely see some good altruism perks from him.

You can even give him a perk that would allow him to to assist or help carry people who are in the dying state. Getting them to locations faster then if they were crawling for example may be at walking speed.

A perk that reflects teamwork would also be nice

Emily- skilled and decent survival and one of the only three to actually survive when isolated for a decent period of time the others being Mike and Jess.

You could definitely make a lot of Solo survivor or Lone Wolf perks around her. Not things that actively screw over your own team but stuff that focuses more on your own survival.

Josh - on my list of survivors that would be good in Dead by daylight. Less because of anything he does more because I feel like the idea of having a survivor that is presented as the antagonist is a very fun idea the closest we have to this is David but he's kind of just a douchebag with a heart of gold.

Mike - honestly I don't mind him he's kind of just your generic mean protagonist he's basically discount Nathan Drake (hahaha) definitely would be in top 5 to be in Dead by daylight though

Chris - honestly a pretty cool character don't think I would want to see him in Dead by daylight but if he was chosen I couldn't complain.

Sam- I legitimately don't get why everybody likes her so much she didn't practically nothing until the ending of the story 90% of her character arc is resolved around her taking a bath.

She also encounters the windigo the least out of the other characters. ( Mike Jess and Emily dealing with it the most)

Legitimately the only interesting thing about her is the fact out she's voiced and modelled off of Hayden Panettiere.

Ashley- I hate this character with a burning passion least liked character and the only reason I would like her in Dead by daylight is so I could equip a mori every time she's around and yes it will be first hook mori

I believe survivor Rift quests often encourage bad behaviour that negatively impacts the teamwork survivors are meant to have between each other.

Two examples I can think of at the top of my head are the totem cleansing and "risk" quests. The totem cleansing quests encourage survivors to run around cleansing dull totems instead of helping out the team. It is always frustrating to see someone without Inner Strength cleansing dull totems because they want to complete their quest and it is baffling how bad behaviour that negatively impacts the team is rewarded.

"Risk" quests are quests that encourage risky play which does not benefit the team. An example of this is the quest that requires you to complete a generator in a killers terror radius, which encourages leaving a gen almost completed so that the survivor can go taunt the killer to chase them, only to complete the gen in their face. Not only does this encourage bad economical play as the gen can be kicked, blocked etc. but it also encourages bad sportsmanship where the survivors feel like they have a reason to engage in behaviour many would consider toxic.

These quests can also be easily changed to far better ones. Instead of a quest that counts all totems cleansed, how about one that requires less totems but it only counts hex totems? Instead of a quest revolving around completing a generator next to a killer, how about one where you have to complete a generator after being chased off it by the killer?

You know there are other reasons to destroy totems besides inner strength right honestly it's a mentality like that that's the reason why teams always get hit with no one escapes death or Undying.

Then complain about how broken and unfair they are

I wanna know this too, my dad and I both enjoy this game and are probably some of the most SJW people I know, but we aren't fighting against Victor. We're excited since I didn't have the PTB.

    It's a buzzword.

People generally use it to convey negative context about a person incredibly quickly due to the fact that across the internet "sjws" a negative reputation.

Essentially a few individuals talk like whack jobs on the internet now everybody who tries to talk about certain topics tend to get that label.

I think, testing no bloddlust in game, is really good. Killers still have too high average kills and come on, everybody knows, bloodlust is a gimmick mechanic for poor-skilled killers. It's like a hack, bad killers need to be good.

Additionally, they can create new killers, with new mechanics, which dont need bloodlust in their toolkit to be strong.

So please, stop complaining about testint this.

I personally don't care about bloodlust but I think you need to realise that if you actually think Killers who depended heavily on bloodlust are getting tons of kills then I don't think you've ever set down and actually played this game.

If you have to get to bloodlust level two or three to get a hit on a survivor and you have to do that constantly you are not going to get anything more than 1 kill if you're going up against competent survivors.

It takes 45 seconds of a constant chase to hit bloodlust tier 3.

You also don't immediately get there hit the second you hit tier 3 it normally takes a bit of time. Let's add another 5 seconds to make the distance.

That's 50 seconds to get one hit if you have to rely on this more than once to down a survivor it's taking you 100 seconds

It takes 80 seconds to complete a generator solo with no additional bonuses.

As a result in the time it took that really bad killer to get one down for regenerate have just been completed and the survivors already and moving over to work on more.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but if you legitimately think that bloodlust was extremely boosting the quantity of kills than I think you overestimate the value of bloodlust way too much

And what other point was that? There's easy ways around dublication of items. And I'm sure far more clever people than me have already though out how aswell.

But what i'm just interested in is having ways to negate Black-Ward as in having White-Ward being non-negatable. Either way works for me.

But I'm pretty certain most Killer Mains don't feel the same way. They tend to get a bit defensive about such things.

    So I'm up for suggestions.

My other point was referring to item trading and transfer not duping.

White ward are extremely helpful when trading or transferring limited items for example third year party starters or fourth year flashlights

Your method would remove that usage

  • If they still haven't brought back the Legion day of the dead bright blue glow despite Legion players wanting it back this isn't going to happen.

  • @Stinky said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1760765#Comment_1760765

Like with the Key add-on that sikply removes the key from the game on death. You give up getting new items and your buddies can't claim the item post-match. Simple as that.

    Zero duping

    What about my other point

  • @Stinky said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1760688#Comment_1760688

No, but shouldn't I get to keep what i brought into the match regardless of the matches outcome?

And it's not like toolkits are worth anything anymore and most killers know how to turn one degree left or right to evade a flashlight. So most Survs only use White Ward with a Key (= Mori). And as Franklins negates it, we usually just don't use WW.

It kinda ends in Killers most powerful Offerings is still Ebony Mory, followed by Black Ward. Survivors most powerful Offering is Bloody Party Streamer, which benefits all.

Then you have a problem with free duplication.

What's to stop me from using a white Ward dropping a pinky to my friend getting myself killed and then getting two pink keys with me and my friend for free.

The requirements that you have to be holding the item is actually really good for white wards.

    It stops duplication

Also if you didn't know it also allows you to to transfer limited or event items between each other.

For example if I had spare third year party starters and my friend missed out on the event or prestige their character I could tell them to put on a white Ward and drop one of my spares for them to guarantee that as long as they have the item in their hand whether they escape or die they get to keep it

  • Oh no bloodlust and mechanic that currently only helps bad Killers become slightly less bad.

Listen even if someone could only get hits with bloodlust tier 3 that would still mean they're wasting more than 45 seconds per hit

Even the worst most brain dead Killers weren't excelling with bloodlust.

All this experiment is going to do is make bullying babies easier

Any killer that knows to just give up on a losing chase or just break the pallet is not going to be affected

  • Legion.

It has the most interaction between survivors and killer

It makes sense the survivors are more likely to fight or at least hold out against a teenager

It's probably one of the most brutal and painful moris in the game.

  • Leatherface wears the faces of all of the 4 starter survivors to say that he shouldn't be able to wear claudette's because she's black is a racist statement in of itself. You're basically saying that Claudette should be removed from the original for set because of her skin colour ( keep in mind and you'll have two caucasian and one Asian face that Leatherface can wear)

Yes I know there's a history behind the insensitivity of Blackface. However what Leatherface does is not meant to be a insensitive caricature. it's legitimately just leatherface's MO to wear people's faces

  • When it comes to cosmetics I probably spent about £70 - 140 or maybe more.

Honestly not the most I've spent on a game.

As for why the Rift usually I play the game enough so I can easily complete it so it's never really been too much for problem I get to 70 on most of them before purchasing it so there's no harm in really buying it.

  • As somebody who plays both sides equally I feel like plays need to realise that not every single thing is a slight against them.

Usually especially as a survivor you need to take the time to think and analyse the situation before you go off on an extreme tangent about camping or tunneling.

If you noticed your teammates are being super altruistic you need to be careful because it usually means the killer is going to end up patrolling a lot more often.

The amount of times as killer I have barely been able to walk to the nearest pallet to break after hooking a survivor before they get saved is ridiculous. If you have situations like that guess what the killer is going to start to do they're going to start to intensely search around the hook for those survivors who rush it.

Camping becomes a strategy depending on how the survivors play usually overly alteristic survivors of very easily countered by slugging and camping. If I know all the survivors tend to rush for the save why the hell will I go across the map to try to find the mystical fifth survivor.

Gee considering that I can't play on Xbox Series X without turning ON crossplay is kinda forcing me to play crossplay. I literally have to crossplay with other Xbox players. The fact the game even launched in this state is unacceptable. Don't even mention the C word.

Also the fact that more and more people are switching over makes my non-crossplay pool smaller and smaller over time, which eventually means the only way I can ever find a game is to turn on crossplay. In other words I am FORCED to turn it on to play.

You're playing on a platform that has a smaller player base that's really not of behaviour forcing you to play crossplay

  • If your disconnection penalty was that high I'm assuming you disconnect anytime you bump into any slight irritation is received in a match.

Sorry but people like you are the reason we need disconnections penalties.

The worst part it's punishing people who are unintentionally being disconnected by server errors or people who are legitimately stuck in game breaking bugs. They don't deserve the penalties but it's because people will be see at any slight irritation and abuse it that we have to have them

  • Honestly the only thing that surge needs is to have the basic attack restriction removed.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

Sincerely, an Xbox Series X player.

Guess I'm still not playing until they fix this. Crossplay literally killed this game on Xbox. Can't match with other Xbox players if they have it on, it's on by default and 99% of the community is too lazy or too uninformed to turn it off.

    👏👏 slow claps👏👏

Expect a really bad review of crossplay in your survey.

I don't think you know what the word forcing means.

If you can opt out of it at anytime you want with the simple click of a button you're not forced into anything.

It people don't care enough to take it off that's not behaviour probably if you don't want crossplay on that's all well and good but you have to deal with longer lobby because you're encountering a lot that people.

here is why its a big deal:

    1) you have no idea Undying is in effect and are therefore not aware that your aura is currently being revealed to the Killer. You just spawned in and decided to touch a Dull Totem standing around - you dont know which Killer it is or that Ruin is even a thing, therefore you also have no idea that Undying is even a possibility.

    2) the Killer gets an immadiate target right after the game started

this leads to the Killer getting his first chase basicall immediately on a Survivor who not only doesnt expect the Killer to know about him, but is usually also quite outpositioned and has no idea where stuff for chases is.

Otz made a really good example of this when he played Leatherface on The Game. He just spawned and started walking around the map when he suddenly saw a Megs aura. So he went to her location and acted like he was merely passing through the room, to keep the illusion for Meg that he didnt know about her - and 5 seconds later Megan (who was not only horribly outpositioned due to her trying to avoid Killer contact with stealth, but also completely unaware of the fact that Otz was actually targeting her) gets a chainsaw shoved in her face, which won him the game basically right then and there, as he could start his snowball game immediately.

this Meg had no chance to know he had Undying and therefore also no chance to act accordingly.

plus Ruin and Tinkerer made sure that he had a top tier gen defense, so while he was able to push his objective very easily the Survivors objective was incredibly hard to do, as they needed to take care of Ruin Undying first (every time risking getting chased next thanks to the aura reveal of course) and only then were able to touch the gens reliably.

so while that perk combo basically puts the Survivors objective to a halt (or at the very least tremendously increases the time it takes for it to be completed, while also making it extremely risky to do so) it also allows the Killer to get their objective started off pretty much instantly.

you dont need to be a good Killer to consistantly stomp Survivors when using this perk combo.

and if you are a good Killer its basically a free win every game you play.

the only way to counter this build reliably is by playing in an optimal 4 man SWF. Which means that anyone who isnt gets stomped. Which simply isnt healthy for this game.

. As I said countless times the only thing Undying really needs is there have the Aura reading taken away and given to something like thrill of the hunt instead.

Undying becomes a gamble passive protection that you don't have to invest too much time into if you have to hope you're lucky

Thrill of the hunt gets turned into more of an active protection system this will give you a lot at all tools to actually stop people from destroying the totems but you have to put in the work to fully protect them

    Dwight

    Jake

    David

    Min

    Jane

    Nea

    Ace

    Kate

    Adam

    Felix

    Zarnia

    Èlodie

Good killers end a chase long before you can get a gen half done. Using ruin and undying guarantees all gens keep regressing. Combined with tinkerer, it’s instant win.

That's with the hope that goes ruin and undying combo actually works as somebody who runs Undying + haunted grounds a lot I could tell you I have had way more instances where undying gets destroyed first then when haunted ground triggers multiple times.

Undying will always remain a gamble perk sometimes it actually protect the totem sometimes it's the first thing to go and when that happens you could possibly lose your other totem and essentially lose two perks within a very short time of the match beginning.

My problem when people normally discussed the undying ruin combo is that they usually jump to the worst case scenario for the survivors despite the fact that that's not always the case.

While a character's sexual orientation has no impact on gameplay i guess we can all agree that lore is designed with a very specific purpose, to flesh out and convey a sense of identity to it, sure, Felix having a pregnant wife does nothing gameplay wise but the devs still made it part of who he is

Exactly, which is why I think it makes sense that characters aren't just casually rewritten for the sake of representation. It's preferable to wait and have a character designed from the ground up instead of having the backstory changed as an afterthought.

So if any normal person can care for a fictional character's struggles and burdens, why are LGBT struggles not as valid? why do they need to be justified ?

    And also exactly this.

The fact that there is such (in some cases extreme) opposition to a simple discussion such as this shows why it's important to fight for representation. It shouldn't have to be a big thing, it should be natural.

You don't think you know what you mean when you say rewritten.

It's the same way people use the word retcon without knowing what the hell it means.

You can't rewrite or retcon something that hasn't been established.

Revealing Feng Min is a lesbian isn't retconning or rewriting her character because what she was interested in has never been established.

However saying someone like Frank was gay or Julie was a complete lesbian that would be retconning or rewriting as they've already been established to be in a heterosexual relationship and both have sexual feelings for each other as well as romantic at least on Julie's part.

I don't have a problem with revealing someone in the current cast is part of the LGBT community they don't have to completely redo another character but since they already made the choice to make certain insight into some characters they can't really go back on that so they need to be careful.

    Nurse

    Oni

    Frank

    Julie

    Ace

    David

    Felix

Have already had their sexualities hinted towards if not outright confirmed as being heterosexual. ( David and Ace specifically being revealed after the fact not at the introduction)

So pretty much Mettle Of Man is easily countered by everything that does 2 damage states while you are healthy and exposure

I am so confused on why Mettle works like this still

As I said mettle is not technically designed to stop you from going down like borrow time or or soul guard.

It's designed to just let you tank a hit whilst injured.

Again I'm not a Game Dev so take this with a pinch of salt but they seem to do similar jobs but in different ways and it's those different ways that stops Mettle from protecting you against one shots when you're healthy

  • Anything that is a legendary I can understand why it's locked as different models would probably look absolutely terrible combined together or really awkward.

But there's no excuse for certain outfits like both of Cheryl's Starting Over and everything that pyramid has received

These outfits are legitimately designed in 3 pieces but just packaged as a said for some strange reason.

Things like the Legion Robbie the rabbit and Nea's set are designed with extended proportions or noble portions in certain areas meaning they kind of have to be linked but the outfits I mentioned above don't fall under that category

  • @Hoodied said:

Fun Fact: Endurance caused by Borrowed Time and Soul Guard block all 1 hit abilities, Endurance caused by Mettle Of Man will not when you are healthy...Why is mettle different than the other girls?

I think that's because borrowed the time and soul guard are designed to stop you from going down ( hence why they trigger deep wounds)

Whilst Mettle is designed to let you tank another hit whilst injured (hence why it just lets you take a hit without actually triggering deep wounds)

Essentially soul guard and borrowed time stop you from going down whilst Mettle ignores one damage proc whilst you're injured

You're not stupid and I'm not going to treat you like you are. You're well aware of how annoying BM tactics like that can be same goes for something like The Killers smack in the survivor on hook.

If you're not in the mood to deal with that and you just want to move on to your next match that doesn't make you any less mature and stating otherwise is a ridiculous notion.

I'm sure if you tell them about the non-existent refund policy they will feel a lot better! After all, that was the only communication regarding the Halloween items not being refundable, so you know that it must be a really good response!

Still makes my recommendation seemed disingenuous even if the recommendation was made a long time ago.

However I am enjoying my new NSS Frank so that's something I guess hopefully for the love of Amacky they don't change that too. ( with the exception of giving the mask facial animations if they get the Tech to do that)

  • Because if I wanted to spend my time watching a survivor butt dance I can literally load the survivor tutorial and do it myself.

No I don't want to see you stroke your ego about how you were escaped and no I don't want the measly 300 points for hitting you ( no you're not doing me a favour I just want you to leave so I can get on with my next match)

This is especially annoying if I'm Rift fragment grinding because I don't feel like wasting my time.

If you manage to get everybody out safely just leave.

We don't want your pity hits and we don't want to see you butt dance

  • Honestly I'm 100-percent wondering if they're actually going to take it away if they do it goes against their stance of moving away from exclusives.

If they keep it then it brings up the question of are they going to to do the same for the things like the death garden masks

Yep, this change is bad. The cosmetics look super different without the glow. And because of the wonderful refund policy - that is, there is no refund policy - anyone who bought the cosmetics before the change, due to how they look, gets screwed.

I feel really bad because not only did I recommend it to a couple of my friends but I also recommended it to some survivors who like the look of it when I was playing against them

I'd digress he needs a few ads on changes usually a add on pass means all add ons and after last time with Ahem billys add ons yeah.

I'd rather them go "hey look theese few legion add ons suck *looks at fuming, Frank's, study* mets change them and also because ideally they would reduce stun time they change dirt joeys and jules as well and the add ons should be presto.

not go dear god iri button is a good add onlet's change it to make you vault slower reduce your tr but your still break pallets. Please devs don't do something like that I trust you won't but pls

With the exception of iridescent button, blades, the cooldown add-ons and Legion pin everything else sucks. That's a total of 6 good add-ons

Franks mixtape and stab wounds study- both of these don't work with legions current kit and the way deep wounds works. To make it work you have to force it and even then it's so bad it's detrimental and you're practically throwing the game

Killer instinct range increase add-ons are terrible- they have one job and that one job isn't worth the add-ons slot when there are things that just do it better and give you more benefits

Iridescent button- map wide killer instinct tracking and the ability to break pallets when you vault.

Monitor and abuse- stealthy when out of a chase and a larger killer instinct range when you're in a chase which is when you need it

    Distressing- Blood points

Smiley face pin. This has more to do with blindness just being bad rather the add-on itself but it's a common so meh honestly they might as well just turn this into the BP add-on for the legion ( speed limiter and padded Jaws)

The power recovery add-ons are pointless especially when you consider Legions power is non lethal so you don't want to rely on it too heavily and Legion loses their power every time they get a hit

well i type in basically every pregame and endgame chat and a lot of people type back.

also again either way those 2 are a small minority of the crossplay tag anyway

Minorities or not don't single out a group of the player base if you don't want to be called out on it
