that's the one map where doing a gen hurts you lmao
Yep but granted even if you do complete the gen the pallet furthest away from the bathroom door is still very safe it's just the one closest to it becomes dangerous
-
The double bathroom pallets in the game especially if the bathroom Gen hasn't been completed yet

Yes please, hell I'd even go further and say 10s so long as the power to do so is earned. Also buff remember me. Make it disable or half power if the obsession dies with one survivor left to prevent inescapable situations.
But I mean it already got nerfed as is I don't think it needs much else

I think that's fine normally, but the Pig specifically can spy on Trapped obsessions running OoO so they know which box to camp and force a kill on. I think that is overkill, personally.
You know you could look down whilst doing jigsaw boxes to avoid being seen or face a wall
-
It's probably you the same reason why some of us Legion mains are hated.
People tend to remember the the negatives and frustrations of decisive strike and simply apply that to every Laurie they see.
Hell if MoM was as prevalent of an issue for as long as decisive strike was you will probably get the same reaction to Ash mains all two of them

I think there's a bit of a gap between "downside" and "chance of survival is pretty close to zero (unless the Survivor in question is way better than the Killer)".
I think it's more that stealth Killers hard counter for abilities now object of obsession is riskiest but one of the strongest aura reading perks in the game for survivors.
However the punishment for using such a powerful perk against the killer who hard counters it should be severe
-
@TAG said:

I kinda hope that doesn't remain in live, as it could be miserable if the Pig knew at all times which boxes you were heading to.
I mean it wouldn't really changed much most pigs don't spend that much time in Crouch mode anyway.
-

If you can't see the aura as survivor it won't reveal the survivors aura (at least it worked like this with myers tier 1).
If the perk is lit up for the survivor then their aura is revealed.
That's because Myers was immune to the detection period the park didn't go off.
Whilst in undetectable you seem to be just invisible like original Freddy when a survivor was awake just like that Freddy could see you alright but you couldn't see his

But it's not that strong, not on it's own at least.
I figured after the Stranger Things DLC people would be more lenient on Mettle of Man with the inclusion of Inner Strength and Second Wind. Both of those perks are fine on their own, but Inner Strength with Head On, Adrenaline and Decisive Strike, or Second Wind with Adrenaline and Dead Hard, they can be pretty annoying.
Also I have noticed a lot of people's examples facing Mettle of Man involve the insta heal add ons, and with those getting reworked I felt now was the best time to ask for a second look and hopefully an improvement to Mettle of Man.
Even if Protection Hits were to be fixed, if Mettle of Man can have repeated use than I say reduce the number of hits needed to 2. HOWEVER, adjust the punishment value of the perk as well. Aura reading isn't really a threat, as Old Freddy can testify, so maybe include a broken status effect or perhaps an exposed status effect when recovered from Mettle of Man for a set amount of time.
Small adjustments that over time can bring this perk back is all I ask. Being able to use it more than once would be amazing if getting it to use one time wasn't so difficult 😅
Thoughts? @HellCatJane
My problem with MoM is that I had very little control over it happening and it only happens if I was doing a good job.
Inner strength and second wind a Survivor has to earn but with MoM the killer does the work for you which would be fine if there was a way to counter it but there isn't any without playing specific killers
-
@Dreamnomad said:
I wish they would change it so 3 unique events were required to activate MoM.
1 Protection Hit
1 Pallet Stun
1 Safe Rescue
No one could argue that a survivor that performed all three of those actions in a single game "didn't earn it". Yet at the same time, it is not a suicidal task trying to get all 3 actions. The killer even has some control over preventing the perk from activating.
But the way that they gutted Mettle of Man is almost criminal.
I'm fine with a safe hook rescue and a protection hit but no way pallets done it's actually really easy to get a pallets stun.
Especially against the killer who doesn't typically care about or respect pallets

see where your argument is flawed is the fact that survivors have more than a main objective, killer has literally no side objectives
Because a killer doesn't have time to do a side objectives.
Hello the fact that Killers like Trapper have to waste time finding their traps and setting them up wastes a lot of time which lowers his overall effectiveness

Maybe that's region based, but I see a lot of claudettes on Xbox. : P
I do see more Neas though, in hindsight.
It's less the amount of Claudette and more the amount of Claudette that actually wear cosmetics rather than just the P3 clothing.
I see a lot of Claudettes it's just P3 or maybe the darker recoloured shirt
-
I'm surprised they keep making cosmetics for Claudette considering a very few amount of people who play Claudette that actually get/use them.
At least on console anyway I don't know if PC has a more cosmetic loving Claudette fanbase.

Those are both master challenges. So they have to be done in a single trial.

Lol, 100+ hrs on top of BS hard challenges is not a "bit" of a grind. I'd rather they remove the auric cells from track if that's why they made it impossible to complete. I don't want my cells back. I want to be able to get what I paid for.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/755775#Comment_755775
It's not about the money. I want what I pay for. Nowhere have I complained about the money. Remove the auric cells from the track if that is the reason they made it BS impossible to complete.

I suggest something that could make very tedious challenges a lot less annoying and that's your response.
What I find annoying is when people throw around the word impossible like it's candy.
A lot of these challenges are tedious and they need to be reworked to something better but none of them have hit the level of ######### that was original deranged pursuit.

Lol. Sure.
-Get 2 Sacrifices during the End Game Collapse using NOED (in one trial)
-Interrupt (grab) 4 survivors
-Get 4 sacrifices in the Basement (in one trial)
1) The sacrifice in endgame with no one escapes death is not too hard blood warden and noed a hell of a combo.
2) the interruptions practically means play a stealth killer it's not too hard to get with ghostface or tier 1 Myers
3) the basement is complete bs unless you're going up against the bunch of potatoes who are throwing themselves at the basement like suicidal lemmings or by some dumb luck a bunch of survivors managed to get down close around it was you had a basement build.
-
Honestly I feel like the way the battle pass handles it is probably the best method of it.
You still managed to earn what you want and you have your six months of bragging rights.
Is a decent chunk of time and then it gets open to everybody which I think is fair.
I'm still fond of the special items I have like the pro-pain hammer so be hypocritical for me to say I don't like exclusives I'm glad they're changing update the system.
Maybe somewhere down the line they might actually give a chance for previous exclusives to be available
So while yes I do enjoy exclusives as long as they were earnable by everybody and not region or platform locked.
I think the idea of making it accessible to everybody is a lot more inclusive but the Grace period still gives people who want the bragging rights a chance to show off before it comes out
-
@Iceman said:
Yes and No. This is where I become a hypocrite lol.
I like the exclusiveness when I am able to participate in the event.
I don’t like the exclusiveness if I was not able to participate in the event. However with that being said as long as they give me the option to buy it then that’s a different story. You can just make the purchasable items a limited time as well
I kind of agree with this statement I understand the appeal of exclusives and when it comes to exclusives I am warm to the idea of ones where are everyone has a chance to earn it.
Problem arises when it's platform-specific or area specific
It basically means if I'm from the UK and I play Xbox I can't get something like golden Feng I never even had a chance to try to get it stuff like that I don't agree with.
However event exclusives like pro-pain hammer and song bird dress are things I don't mind.
-
Best survivor:
Feng Min - because it's personally relatable to me.
Jeff: it's the first time we've seen a direct interaction with the survivor and a killer even if it was probably only Frank that he interacted with.
Worst survivor:
Nancy: It's literally a paragraph that sounds like the first half was just copied off the wiki and the second half was just a generic dbd *insert abduction text here* line.
Best killer:
Rin: very nice and intriguing story it's also interesting to note that this is the first time The Entity has ever switch targets so abruptly.
Pig: I'm a Saw fanboy and I feel like it really fits Amanda's character being so emotionally and mentally unstable to have delusionally rationalized that this was John's idea. Amanda has always had grey area of not exactly evil but not exactly good.
Worst killer.
Demi Logorgon: why is it here ...... uh it's ruthless..... what you want a better reason go suck a lemon. We don't even hear about it getting abducted all we got is just it's ruthless. Nancy's is still terrible but at least we heard how she got abducted
-
Honestly I feel like they're afraid that surge would be too powerful.
It didn't really need the reduction in its regression percentage especially considering it's on a cool down and won't affect already regressing gens so it's not like it could be spammed.
Mind breaker. The only thing I could say is that it helps stealth Killers not be sprint bursted. Aside from that it's not hard to just let go of the gen and walk for 3 seconds before running away.
Cruel limits: is just terrible I could at least find somewhat of use for the current state of mindbreaker. Sometimes you are literally chasing somebody and it's not a smart option to suddenly switch your targets for one gen has already been popped. I guess you could combine this with tinkerer but even then.
-
If you compare Ace to Quentin Jake or Ash especially when he's crouched yeah he's definitely more silent.
-
Honestly third seal it's fine the only problem with it is that blindness is very situational so not only are you relying on the perk not being destroyed you're also relying on the perk affect being useful.
I feel like they just need to add something to blindness to make it a lot more dangerous and less situational
-

I disagree. Pig moves slightly slower but can dash attack or just get up from crouch and get easy hits/grabs. Wraith can move faster in stealth. With this change, they absolute should increase Michael's tier 1 speed/lunge or better yet, leave him immune to premonition/spine chill. He was in a fine place as he was.
I mean this as much as a survivor as I do a killer. Jump scares are great. Nice little adrenaline rush when a Michael spooks me.
But ya also realised Myers has addon synergy with tier 1 you're going to bump up his movement speed and still keep him undetectable you're probably going to put a slight nerf on things like scratched mirror and I'm sure a lot of Michael mains do not want that.
Wraith and Amanda have aura reading add-ons to but due to the fact that Amanda is not permanently stuck in the slow speed and Wraith is faster their aura reading view is a lot weaker.
(Granted I have my own issues with Amanda's letter that's neither here nor there)

Don’t diss Tatum like that.
A) Pretty sure she was drunk
B) He just slit her arm
C) It was already previously established the door was locked, which led her to opening the garage door in the first place and then thinking he was a prankster when he stopped it.
D) After throwing the bottles, she ducks his rush and his body flings over her, BLOCKING THE DOOR. The doggy door was the only escape.
E) Tatum tried her best in an intense situation and already at a disadvantage. The real question you must ask yourself is WHY DIDN’T THE GARAGE DOOR DETECT HUMAN MOVEMENT.
Rule one when you're being attacked if you ever managed to knock down your attacker who is trying to murder you double tap their ass.
Grab any available heavy object you can find grab and continuously beat them until they don't move and then hit them a couple of times afterwards just to make sure.
It's just kind of annoying trope of horror films where a character that easily knocked down said killer chooses to try to run away or hide instead of finishing them off which always leads to their death
-
@humanbeing1704 said:
I wish solo had a indicator for someone being chased not just the the obession
The problem with giving too much information away is that it makes survivors work a lot more efficiently.
As a killer for the most part you rely on survivor mistakes to be able to do your work.
Hell the main problem with survive with friends is that because they work more efficiently they make it a lot harder for the killer to capitalise on the mistakes.
You will be surprised how something as simple as saying don't waste time coming over to save me I have deliverance can be that means two or three people are more than likely to just stay on gens and power through rather than wasting time going for the save and healing
-
I'll get it.
I like the charms and blight nurse ( which I don't personally feel like waiting a year for as they said seasonal cosmetics will only get store released seasonally).
Other than that none of the cosmetics really wow me but considering I mostly play Dead by daylight I'll earn enough auric cells to redeem the battle pass for next rift.

-
I like the outfit he got with his chrome mask and his default one is not that bad I I found the idea of a more combat looking orientated ghostface a lot more threatening.
As much as I love the movie costume everytime I see it all I can imagine is that Tatum basically kicked his ass and the only reason he even killed her was because she dropped 1000 IQ points after knocking him on his ass twice and decided to go for a cat flap
-
I'm not going to lie it is kind of annoying hearing the same explosion sounds constantly.
Also some diversity in the sounds will help you prioritise whether a loud noise notification is worth investigating or not..
However I don't know how you would balance diversion around it as if the sounds are too diverse it's going to be easy to tell this perk apart from actually notifications and you can't randomise it because there is going to be some situations where won't make sense for example a healing missed skill check notification when everybody is healthy
-
Honestly it's sad but it's true I've had games where one person has simply not done anything and has basically gotten carried to Victory.
Annoyingly enough I've also seen people get their adept achievements this way

How would you feel about instaheals you can use only on other survivors?
That was my biggest problem with insta heals. You using it on yourself mid chase was annoying enough but you completely resetting my progress when I down a survivor is above aggravating
-
We technically don't have an age confirmation.
We know she stole her jacket but that's about it. Hell we don't know if the sweater she steals is a sophomore one or if she's the actual sophomore.
Even then I doubt she's older than Julie who is a senior and roughly about 17 or 18
-
@humanbeing1704 said:
because most of the fanbase are Virgins below the age of 17
I mean Susie is about 15 or 16 so it's fitting
-
So you're upset that you now can't completely erase the killer's progress anymore or cheaply stall out a chase with a quick insta heal whilst they're breaking a pallet how will you manage.
This is coming from a console player I play Xbox One if you needed to rely on insta heals to help you win then you probably want a good survivor to begin with
-
Is there going to be a bonus at the end of you manage to complete all the Tomes and challenges. Like a collective reward for completing the whole archives rather than an individual tone as a kind of reward for the people who completed every challenge ?
-
Dwight has 58
Meg has 64
-
I don't agree with the exit gates being powered but I don't mind people needing to be on death hook as it's something I do anyway considering it gets you more points as a killer
-
1) Jake's Head
2) Jake's Body
3) Clown's Head
4) Clown's Weapon
5) Hag's Head
6) have not chosen yet
I don't play any of the characters who have gotten outfits so I'm only really getting bits and pieces to match with the cosmetics I already have for them.
-
What was the point in releasing these cosmetics now considering we still have to wait 2 weeks for the actual event.
I can at least somewhat understand if the cosmetics weren't going to be in the store after the event but considering they stay it just seems massively unnecessary
-
Even with them being a secondary main to me
I still get a lot of hate for playing them. Typically people get annoyed at the constant mending especially if they also want to heal.
Also Legion along with Plague and Freddy are one of the few Killers who can consistently and reliably make a very irritating slow down build.
-
Exclusivity is a very iffy subject.
Well yes it could be good for bragging rights and being able to say yes I have this.
It can be very annoying for those people who don't have it especially when it comes to exclusive that are restricted to specific areas or platforms.
So there are a lot of console players who would like golden Min or deathgarden mask Meg especially considering they didn't even have the chance to get it.
Whilst I can at least appreciate exclusive that everybody had a chance to get for example propain hammer Billy and Hound mask huntress.
it's not a good idea in general as newcomers could also gets annoyed that they didn't have a chance to earn it because they weren't playing the game at that time.
Restrictive exclusives are definitely something that should not be a thing you shouldn't have to be in a specific area or play a specific platform to get something
As timed exclusives that's accessible to everyone for certain time limit is basically a double-edged sword it's probably the best type of exclusive but it's not what the best way to go
-

Not surprised, this is the direction they've been taking for the past year. Buff Killer Stealth, Nerf Survivor Stealth.
It leaves me salty as a Stealth Survivor.
Most of these guys aren't going to be still for the majority of the match.
Unless it's scratched mirror he's going to get out of tier 1.
It's a very bad idea for a piggy to spend too much time crouching so you're not going to worry too much about that.
Wraith and Ghostface are probably going to be the only Killers who are going to consistently use their stealth. But considering it's so heavily linked into their power and efficient gameplay they really do need the stealth protection
-
@Exerlin said:

Hey you want to bring object of obsession you take the risk.
It might work like old Freddy where if you're awake you can't see their aura but they can see yours.
Or it might work like Michael.
Personally I'm hoping for old Freddy that's because perks like object of obsession have screwed over stealth for the longest time if you want to bring that perk in then that's fine but then you run the risk of putting yourself in extreme danger if it's a stealth killer.

So having to select the challenge in order to get credit for completing it in the game is the part that makes in challenging? No. It's just going to make things tedious.
Did you actually read what I wrote or did you just automatically comment as in knee jerk reaction.
But considering you can't take the time to read I'll post it up here for you
"Whilst I agree that you shouldn't have to select a specific challenge as long as you have it unlocked it should give progression towards it."
Again it's right there if you want to read it and it's even in the quote marking. If you're going to try to misinterpret my words could you at least do it with something that's not that's a little more vague and not blatantly obvious to it actual meaning because it just makes you look like a moron.

Agreed. I don't want to feel like I have to play to get my money's worth outta this, which is what has happened for me with other battle pass games. If it can just be earned as I play normally, I'm more inclined to spend money on it.
If it's earned as you normally play then it misses the point of the Challenge.
Whilst I agree that you shouldn't have to select a specific challenge as long as you have it unlocked it should give progression towards it.
Most challenge based battle passes require you to complete the challenge.
Also if you don't want to waste your money on it if you're not 100% you could easily just do the challenges as far as you can and only buy the premium pass if you think it's worth it. that way you unlock to up to what tier you have on the Premium pass
-
Literally Meg has the most cosmetics in the game for a survivor.
Let someone else have some cosmetics.
David and Feng still have the least out of the pre store survivors. So will be good for them to get a decent amount
The survivors post store need to get their numbers up
-
This may sound like a good idea on paper it's very bad you got to realise the amount of control a PC player has over a console player can very easily put them at higher advantage.
A survivor on a PC is able to pull off a lot better jukes than console survivor making it a lot harder for console Killers to keep up especially considering the console killers have a lot less control
The same could be said for the other way around it would be a lot more difficult for console survivors to deal with console Killers as they have a lot more control and a lot more accuracy.
For example even though this might be a point of contention a good PC nurse can easily be a very frightening thing whilst a good console nurse isn't really comparable

According to leaks, everyone who plays the PTB will receive 2000 Auric cells (PTB only) to try out the Rift. If that translates to Live Servers as assumed, it puts the price for the Paid Rift Track at $20.
Could be possible that the extra auric cells are just to buy some tiers. Most battle passes mostly are priced around $10 to 15 having it be 20 seems like a massive ######### behaviour so I hope that's not the case but who knows

I just want a new Legion cosmetic.
Considering they got skipped over for the Halloween event.
Sadly I doubt we'll ever get maskless Legion.
Since Joey got the cosmetic last time it would be nice to see something for Susie Julie or Frank
