Not every DC happens because people DC on purpose, you know... I was repairing a gen with a Feng a couple of days ago, we were about to be done and I saw Feng, right next to me, sweating... something felt odd... then suddenly, a cold wind struck us and took the life out of Feng's body and BANG... DC.😰
Yeah thats rare in my experience. It's blatant when they do it on purpose.
-
The bad sportsmanship lies solely with the bad losing DC'er. Just play the game for BP and send a report.
It's no one else's fault and what killers decide is up to them.
Is all that matters is that you win lol

The icon is actually part of a status effect called 'Broken', in which you cannot heal while under this effect.
No Mither just makes you permanently Broken. So it's not the 'No Mither icon', it's the Broken icon.☺️
Yeah I know. I only really see it with no mither so i forgot. Also never noticed it coming and going before.
-
Ok thanks guys they had the for the people perk.
Never read that one before.
-
I have rules i would like to make up for survivors. Would they listen? No.
I try to have a fun game If possible but if I'm not allowed then neither will they be.
-
Some use clicking to distract, others just want to be chased.
Some are just attention seekers I think. I ignored one guy and they DC'd lol
Others do the clicking and I smash them easy.
I actually find people spamming loud noise notifications more annoying. It almost gives me a headache. Wish something could be done about that.
Call it strategy or whatever but I don't play games to get a headache.
Pretty much a dead give away it's a swf.
-
I've had people DC with other killers just because I downed them lol
I'm having a few games with nurse just to use up offerings.
Already had DC's early on.
I don't like using her much especially without the comb and add on to show where you are blinking.
-
They are the most toxic when they lose or win too. Pretty sad state of affairs when the killer is needed for them to even play.
I had one swf that just wanted to fool about with 4 head on's. Was pretty funny when they somehow knocked a locker down on me.
They never even touched gens.
Memorable game that!
Generally it's rough though when they communicate your every move. Just plain silly really.
-
I haven't barely played nurse but I like the others.
Will probably try them some just to get rid of bp offerings. Will skip the chat if it's bad or good.
-
Alien or Predator bullied by SWF. No thanks.

Do not try hard, you will end up in a good MMR to have fun. Do not force to get kills. Offer the escape to some survivor sometimes etc...
Honestly, i play both sides and really to day the survivor experience is horrible. Killers are extremely toxic to secure kills. They camp and tunnel every game at high MMR, it is horrible.
Toxic survivors exist but it's rare. SWF bringing broken items or a survivor "exploiting"semi infinite and trolling are here and there but i don't face them as often as i face a camper/tunneler (like 95% of the time)...
I have never had a killer give toxicity in chat it's always survivors.
If you don't camp at all and just try to have a chilled game not worrying about result you still get abuse.
They think they are demi gods but have no clue how much harder killer can be.
99% ggs if they win 1% ggs if they lose.
Do they realise there is no game without killer? I doubt it lol
-
Annoying I have to run corruption In every build. Unless I just don't care about winning.
-
I only usually camp when the game is either already lost or gens fly in seconds and I'm trying to protect losing pips.
Cheap as hell when you know comm squads know your every move.
If you change one thing you often need to change something else to balance.
DBD needs a lot of that to be consistently fair.
-
Bots to play against to learn new killers etc.. Don't like the idea of them being mixed with real players though.
Make a bot that detects hacks already.

I recommended this to a younger friend and they said the CGI was pretty poor. lol
One of my fav's too.

Just watched The Deep House recently very eerie and unsettling. Also it takes place under water in a haunted house so it’s unique in its setting.
Was bothering me being underwater as it made me feel a bit claustrophobic. Worth a watch.
-
Do survivors feel bad pallet camping with a flashlight?
Only time I feel bad is if they are clearly pretty new and keep running into me.
Which isn't really tunneling but try telling that to people.
It's just a game I'm not really a mass murderer.
So my lack of empathy for pixels doesn't worry me.

If generators are flying, what's the killer doing next to a hook?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2883692#Comment_2883692
Hmmm... fair enough, I guess. But let's be honest - the perk doesn't exactly encourage nor benefit from any form of Camaraderie as is.
I might suggest that it may be more Camaraderie to take one for the team and have everyone do gens while you take the Killer's camp - a sort of indirect version.
But pointing out that the perk thrives on a LACK of friends nearby is a legitimate mention.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2883718#Comment_2883718
Has it really? I'd love to look at that test!
Abused how? Even if this perk was taken in every single match by every single survivor - it would only work in very particular circumstances. The only way for survivors to exploit it is to always leave their teammates on the hook - which will always be detrimental to them if the killer backs away to even nominal proxy distance.
Good luck checking them all with slower killers on larger maps before they pop. You do play killer right lol

The advantages get overstated though, and although there are advantages, they're not hugely significant against highly skilled killer players. SWF amplifies bad matchmaking, but it's not going to hugely swing a well-made match.
I beg to differ. You can't be everywhere at once but they can be all over. Some swf are highly coordinated. Some games I couldn't do more but still lose hard. I don't play nurse but have a little experience with blight. Not the most fun to play with IMO.
Even long standing streamers struggle.
-
Yet gens fly in seconds. My be alright if the rest of the game was balanced accordingly. It's a long way off.
-
I know it won't be stopped but comms is my biggest gripe with the game right now.
No need for aura reading perks then. More perk slots!
Balance the game against this!
Good luck lol

Most likely not.
I guess most Killer Mains come to the Forums because they just lost a game. And of course something else is at fault - SWF, Dead Hard, "Genrush", whatever.
Not that they missed many Blinks or Hatchets. Or that their Mindgames at Loops are not as good as they think they are. Or that they ignore people on Gens and tunnelvision that one Survivor they are just chasing. Can never happen, it has to be something else.
And once DH is nerfed, there will be something else which is at fault why they lost. Because it can never be the player, impossible.
How is that even a strategy? If you hit them on the gen someone else will finish it or they come back for it. lol
-
@km66 said:
I agree. Once DH is nerfed they complain about some other perk.
"They" So you don't actually play killer so have no clue.
-
Anything to claw back gen speed. Dear god it's ridiculous against a comm squad.

No I was hoping you was thats all.

Yeah are you a Dev though?

I've chased and jumped in between killers tunneling and they will accidentally hit me but keep chasing the player that was just unhooked. That is what I consider tunneling.
Yeah good on them!
-
Subtle speed hackers get a taste of their own medicine.
If they fix this then maybe the whole cheating thing will be sorted.
If not glad i got the game for free.
-
So what is the point of limited aura reading perks then?
Keep kidding yourself!
-
A good team will take a hit to try and prevent tunneling. So any form of moaning about it is mute to me.
Be aware SWF often click to distract you from what others are doing. Like nearly finishing a gen.
-
I haven't come across it much but it did my head in as killer on RPD.
-
I was hopeless with artist but will try again at some point.
Had a lot of fun with Trapper lately. Got most of my pips with Wraith beforehand.
Clown, Spirit, Hag and Billy otherwise.
Struggled with Huntress at high mmr lately as her base speed is a tad slow. People are good at dodging throws.
I like a mix overall.
-
I level 3 bloodlust these so called god tier loopers and they get quicker too so you don't gain much ground. No doubt some are amazing but a lot of them are hackers. Comm squads are not fair and should be camped IMO If you do hook them. It's funny when all of a sudden you stop camping and they crap themselves.
-
@MilManson said:
Bloodwarden needs a buff, you should be able to mori survivors while it's active and they are downed inside the exit gate area.
I dunno what would be rough with NOED too.

It's not consistent but it is the most satisfying when it works, even if not often.
Make the gate regress damn it.
-
@Satelit said:
This is why Bloodwarden is the most satisfying perk in the game.
Except most know to 99 the gate. I spent 2000 on that perk and have barely used it. I was looking forward to the shock factor lol
-
lol yeah except I have a feeling that would be a middle finger and not an icecream.

yea had a game now where i wasnt camped but no one unhooked me on 2nd so i died ANY FU**ING WAYS
14k bp <3
You played the game long? Did you take the code Japan300k. Hope it still works.
-
Have a stealth approach sometimes to give yourself a break. Teammates should do better or at least trade. I would although you need a couple players to help if being camped hard.
-
Maybe I got lucky or have lower mmr with trapper. Only had one what I would call a comm squad today.
I sensed it early so camped pretty hard to get a 2k.
Only other game that was a little sweaty was a gang of head ons. In the end it was pretty funny. They knocked the whole locker down on me. Is that a thing or a hack? Never seen that before.
Think they were just having fun as they all died from too much fooling about.
-
@Satelit said:
Ruin was changed because they didn't like the gameplay it promoted.(also it wasn't even nerfed it's literally a better perk)
Self Care is among the most popular perks but you don't see it nerfed.
I don't know what is was before but it's a hex. So useless in my book.
-
Yeah corrupt should be basekit but also BT for survivors. This would give them 4 extra perks though and killer only one. Killer having 5 perks might balance that I don't know.
-
@semm88 said:
I just played a game and ofc it is hard as hell, and after 4 survivors escape after me playing friendly all game no camping and tunneling they call me ez, cry, etc. What kind of ppl are playing survivors? I rly wish there was no chat after the game
I think they are from an asylum. Seriously don't bother listening I suspect most of them don't play killer because it's too hard.
There is a time and place for camping and tunneling. Pick and choose when or when not to do it and don't feel bad about it. They won't when they tbag you at the gate.
So I come across a guy I just hooked who is injured. I didn't look for them but found them. Am I supposed to kiss it better? They will still says it's tunneling. Even if they ran straight at you lol
You hook someone near gens you are defending. Nope still camping.
All gens popped and you get one hook so you defend it. Nope still camping.
They are clearly a comm squad and are communicating your every move. So you camp. So what they are pretty much cheating anyway.
-
It's a very confusing map until you begin to learn it a bit. Have had some good matches on it win or lose.
-
I feel like corrupt and BT should both be standard and not perks.
It would need other balancing though as it essentially would give 4 extra perks to survivors and only one to killer.
Also hex's could do with something like corrupt on them.
-

They do, but not until the killer gets a hit on someone after it activates, then all 4 survivors get the notification. Keeps it a surprise until the last minute.
That's fine then IMO.

Oh that's fine then really they just got to find the hex or get out.
-
Wait survivors don't get an exposed notification with NOED?
I play more killer than survivor but I think that's dumb.
No more dumb than every other hex I used to play getting wiped out in minutes though I guess.
