Let me simplify this for some of our community that has trouble understanding what a workable "rework" is. If your idea for a rework boiled down has the killer take more time, work, or gaming finesse to down a survivor than a simple M1 click and bloodlust your rework is complete garbage. Does this apply?

We can boil it down to this. Hello, Freddy, I mean Legion. Except with none of the slowing, a more complicated playstyle, and complete lack of a useful endgame.
1) By your logic, as a Trapper I should never use his power since I would waste precious seconds using it. No, the potential of catching survivors makes the power worth it. I would assume you had not read the post literally right above yours, if you have, then you are a troll and I would have no further wishes to speak with you.
2) ...
3) Read the post. Again.
After reading your post and how pitiful your comparison is I already don't wish to speak with you. Epic fail.

Your ideas are only fun for you and survivors. Period. No thanks. I'm all stocked up on buying garbage useless killers that aren't worth bothering with beyond rank 10. Your post is literally nothing but a transformation of a killer into something not worth bothering with. There is literally no direct improvement at all.

Waves of bans are completely ineffective. The only part that matters is how the remaining players experience is affected. To date I have not experienced a single % difference in the amount of DCs I face playing as killer or survivor.Just because you don't see something doesn't means it's not there and the same is true for bans you don't see them but they do hit.
Once they get dedicated servers up and running and have all that hard data they can then tweak the system similar to how riot did it.
It doesn't matter if they are there if nothing about the amount I see changes. There, not there, the same number of games are ruined. Sorry, but Behav10r drags its collective asses. No one has the patience to wait years for them to finally get something effective enough to make a difference. They still haven't implemented a timer to timeout DC survivors mid game load so as not to leave everyone else in a 5-10 minute DC process.

Alright, I'm getting really sick of hitting struggle on my first hook, I should not have to die on my next hook because our stupid teammates ignore you, please make it so that instead of dying immediately on your 2nd hook, you just leave where you left off on your health bar and go from there, however if you got saved on your summoning phase, then yeah, keep it so you move to struggle on your next hook, but you should not have to be immediately dead because no one saved you until struggle. And please make it so that everyone gets a huge penalty if you get completely ignored on the hook until you're dead, however keep it so that if you got camped, no one gets a penalty because that isn't the team's fault.@Ihatelife said:

Even zubatlel sometimes uses NOED so the "only bad killers" use NOED is thrown out of the window. I use it on legion for the 4% MS increase and sometimes to surprise adrenaline users or ppl who just run for the hooked guy.And ppl who compare NOED to DS are beyond helping.
The only perk that would be an equivalent to DS would be a perk that would reduce neccesary hooks on survivors by one which yes, would be incredibly broken. Welcome to DS.
NOED is nothing but a "free" down but only if you catch the survivor in the first place AND if your totem lights up in the first place. If more than 1 person gets downed by NOED then it's ENTIRELY the survivor's fault for not cleansing totems and still being altruistic while NOED is still up.
When did NOED start randomly and automatically downing a survivor? Did I miss an update? I always have to find someone, chase them down, and hit then them! #########? Is my game broken? Pretty good job so far!

Thanks for the advice.
Perhaps you could learn how to pressure gens, learn when a survivor is better than you and give uo the chase, and stop relying on perks to carry you through?
No thanks. The perks are there for that specific purpose. Deal with it. As for all of those terms you like to throw around, the amusing part is that you lack the talent to do any of that which is why you're a survivor main. Your skill caps at staying immersed and looping a pallet. When you fail at doing those two things and find yourself on a hook near the end game because you wasted all the pallets early and mid you are upsetti spaghetti your teammates can't save you easily. Or in the opposite scenario, you can not save the guy that made those same mediocre choices. The sad part of all of this is even if they removed NOED and you managed to climb to the top ranks you'd have your ass carved and handed to you gourmet by killers that absolutely never use NOED.
Don't like NOED - must be a survivor main.
Great logic. I mean it's not like there are killer mains out there who don't use it and think it feels cheap.
No, I know you are a survivor main because you have spent days on the forums whinging about an endgame perk that affects the easiest side to play. If you played killer to any real degree along with survivor you'd understand none of the complaints you are making have any merit and you'd have the ability to just lose with grace.
You'd also have some insight into why you can not save every survivor and have to put self preservation as top priority. Failure to do so is why NOED is OP to you.
Also, just because you or others feels it is cheap doesn't mean anything. That's just subjective opinion with an emotive argument. Some killers have one hit downs and they can NOED you every single time, all match long, with no way to avoid it outside of dodging. Just like NOED.
And therein lies the point of NOED. It gives one hit down ability in the end game for killers that need it. -

My biggest Killer add-on complaint is since most killers need their add-on's, why . . WHY . . . WHY should killers have negative affects on any of their add-on's?Because being able to instantly kill a survivor without having to hit them, let alone hook, is VERY powerful and needs some drawbacks to make it at least somewhat reasonable to play against.
The fact killers have to use BP to get the add-on's to make them "VERY powerful" is a drawback in itself. And it's not like "VERY powerful" add-on's grow on every web . .
X is a very powerful add-on so we are going to make you less powerful in some way . . so you aren't very powerful.
Here's a thought, let's add a drawback to the two instant heal add-on's for survivors med kits.
- Until instant heal add-on is used survivor runs 10% slower
That way killers playing against someone with an instant heal item is somewhat reasonable to play against.
Makes Sense To Me

Not really. By the time a survivor leaves the locker the killer is typically too far away to have it matter. I mean any perk can be situationally useful but with Doc you give up a lot for it. Consider a Doc with the capability to run Distressing and heartbeat effects such as Coulrophobia and Unnerving. Would Iron Maiden be better than Overwhelming Presence or Sloppy Butcher? What about NOED?

No the problem is already solved as you are not going to get NOED nerfed no matter how much you complain about it. So cleanse the totems or have your ass delicately carved and handed to you gourmet. What I will admit is that nothing is more amusing than watching arrogant people make a futile attempt to have the one perk that stops them from teabagging at the end game endlessly, adjusted, and having precisely zero chance of having it happen.
Your angst is arousing to say the least.
The way you word your reply is pretty funny, as if NOED stops teabagging. It doesn't. Once they're at the edge of the gate, they're in the clear regardless of whether you have NOED or not. I think the perk that actually stops that is Blood Warden. And you grouping everyone who doesn't like NOED as 'arrogant' is ridiculous. People have different opinions. What makes it arrogant is usually how it's presented.
At the end of the day, NOED only furthers the gap between solo and SWF. And if the killer applies good map pressure, one person can't take out all the totems by themself. Pair that with a powerful killer like the Nurse, who can wreak pure havoc without it already, and your chances of actually having the time to find the totems and destroy them is slim. It's bad game design. Delfador pretty much summed it up already, so I won't bother repeating anything.
And you saying that my angst is arousing is kinda creepy.
I don't group anyone who dislikes NOED as arrogant. I don't personally care if someone likes it or doesn't. I group people that are arrogant enough to tell killers they "need a crutch" for using NOED when SWF is a crutch for the survivor community to rank up. I stand by my statement 99% wouldn't ever get past rank 5 without it. That's before we even go down the list of other crutch perks such as DS that punishes the killer for winning the chase with no interaction from the killer at all.
Not having the time to find the totems is part of the game, much as killers don't have time to down survivors 12 times before the gens pop. I can't be assed to care.
If me delighting in the schadenfreude of survivor mains is creepy, then consider me the creepiest. I LOVE it. If I can make them punch a hole in the tv screen I'd dance a jig and it could only be topped if it happened on stream.
That said I am an honest person. I have spent much time in the past protecting survivor perks in discussion on the steam forums to a far greater degree then ANY other person on those forums and the hatch as well. I was successful with the hatch and self care unfortunately the devs decided to change the exhaustion perks.Well your statement didn't make that quite clear and came off as a broad claim, so sorry for the confusion. And all because something is part of the game, doesn't mean it has to stay that way or that it should come into play in such major ways. I think it's important that people in the community bring attention to stuff like this or the game will never improve.
As for the whole schadenfreude thing, I believe the term you used was 'aroused' which definitely isn't the same thing, at least, not in the way it's usually used.
It was me being smarmy. I didn't mean it literally. I get that sarcasm doesn't translate well online but ... never mind.

I feel like people hate it because it rewards poor performance. I'd just make it so that survivors know the killer has noed when the last gen is popped rather when a survivor is hit. It would give extra warning to the survivors. Also that the NOED totem would be revealed in a small radius so you would have to spend 10 hrs finding it.I punish survivors all match and then top it off with a boot to the ass from NOED. Not sure why its assumed NOED only works when the killer was losing.

As a killer main I am 100% ok with giving a dull totem cleansed notification for survivors (no real need for a counter they can just count the notifications. I guess it could be there anyways but it doesn't have to be) and other survivor QoLHell I would even be ok with having survivors who work on a totem revealing the totems aura to other survivors as a passive
I think giving survivors a notification for a dull totem being cleansed could be a good middle ground, if letting Small Game keep count is too big of a buff to that perk. Then, if the survivors pay attention and keep count, they'll know how many dull totems are left and the areas in which any were cleansed. But the game isn't doing the work for them.
Attaching the dull totem count to Small Game is fine. Not just free though and no free notification for what is being cleansed. That's too much of a safety net to not be attached to a perk. Imagine if Discordance was free to killers. Thrill of the Hunt is also a perk killers have to take for totem cleansing notification.

That's right, the perk is strong against solo survivors and weak against SWF. The perk needs to be strong for both survivor groups, namely, solo survivors and SWF. You see my argument?
I understand the argument you are making but I disagree with it entirely. NOED works quite well versus SWF. Nothing is 100% but without it you have no threat at all end game versus a coordinated team. At this junction, solo survivor is screwed. There is no perk design that can be created that will be strong enough for a group yet harmless versus a solo survivor. Instead of tippy toeing around that issue the community needs to come to grips with how broken SWF is. But since people are not brokers of truth or fair play and do not care SWF remains and so does the perk strength.
Exactly it’s like people don’t understand how balance works. How exactly do you balance a perk to be viable versus SWF endgame yet still make it not OP against single players? You can’t, because that doesn’t make any sense. SWF is too strong in this game.
Or... we can change the perk to where it has an equal impact to both sides. For example, Shadowborn has an equal impact on both sides, Brutal Strength, Predator, Enduring, and etc... etc... etc...
@Vietfox I know something we can agree on, SWF takes the perk down instantly, yes? Why not change it to where it won't get destroyed by SWF but at the same time, still keeping most of its strength.
This rework would solve everything about NOED, it will make perk viable for both groups of survivors. No One Escapes Death:
Progress infuriates you beyond belief which causes you to release your true potential. Whenever a generator is completed, you'll receive a 5%/10%/15% haste effect and a 20% attack cool down decrease until you perform a successful offensive action. Haste effects and attack cool downs do not stack if multiple generators are completed.
No, that's not strong enough. You do not have an end game threat with 2 hit requirements versus SWF. They must go down in one or the healing, borrowed time, body blocking wins out. Further, it's rehashing Save the Best for Last. There are already plenty of mid game perks that can do equivalent but the end game is where it is needed and it needs to be decisive. Freddy just about requires it to do anything but watch everyone walk right out.

Scenario A: You start cleansing totems but since you aren't participating in generator repairs, your team starts to struggle and eventually get sacrificed. You just helped the killer by directing your pressure to totems and not generators. This would be the 2 versus 3 scenario because you ACTUALLY helped the killer.
Scenario B: Same as before but this time, your survivor team is 3-man SWF and you're the solo in the team. They start pumping out generators like no tomorrow and now, you're on a timer to cleanse all 5 dull totems before they power the final generator. This would be scenario 1 versus 1 versus 3 because you aren't helping the killer and the SWF aren't helping you.
Scenario C: Let's assume you're using Small Game and you start hitting totems. You're doing so good until you struggle to find the last dull totem, but you won't give up. Eventually the exit gates were powered on and you're scared out of your mind. Suddenly in the HUD, you see a survivor get injured instead of being downed. Now, you understand everything... A random survivor cleansed a dull totem which caused you to waste your time finding the non-existent 5th totem. This would be a 1 versus 1 versus 3 scenario because the randoms screwed up your mental counter while the killer was abusing that.
Working as intended. Sometimes you do everything right and your team causes you to lose. You outlined things that can happen in a game not a reason NOED is unfair.

You don't deserve three hooks, play stealthy, wiggle free, or die. You don't deserve a heartbeat. Stay aware or die. Etc, etc. You have some nerve telling killers what they deserve.
Lmao yet everyday we get killers crying that they deserve the 4k that they deserve the hooks.
Guess they don't deserve the 4k then if they can't get the survivor before the hatch. They don't deserve the hook when decisive strike is used. Am I right?
They don't deserve it and they aren't given it. Dumbass survivors hand it to them game after game because they salivate the whole match just waiting to teabag at the gate and then the idiots get caught with their pants down from a NOED. The rest of your strawman isn't worth the energy responding too.
The discussion isn't about the hatch and you have no idea of my stance on it. Decisive Strike is an issue because nothing the killer does affects the outcome. The same can not be said for NOED. Put the skill check on the killer for Decisive Strike and it's perfectly fine. -

The thing is, everybody knows that if a killer seems really bad, they're definitely going to have NOED.Likewise if you go against a killer that'd playing well, theres a chance they won't have it.
The fact that this stays true to high rank proves that it's carrying some killers. Its there to make sure every killer can climb the ranks and feel good. You can use skill or the devs can hold your hand.
Why bother putting in the effort to win the hard way when you can just throw on NOED, Remember Me and Bloodwarden and cheese the ending?
The more you talk the more amusing you become. Everyone knows there are only high ranked survivors because of SWF. Without that hard carry 99.9% of the people would never make it past 5.

No, you are a bad killer if you let your opponent use psychology to dictate how you accomplish your goal. The reason being is you will always play in a less optimal way and be less of a challenge than someone who laughs in their face and exploits every crumb of advantage they can gain. I know which one I'd place my money on winning and being "better".

Boss said:I actually liked facing NOED as Survivor and never liked running it as Killer. (Though the reason for that isn't exclusive to NOED.)
Too bad you feel like it's unfair, but one aspect i liked about DbD is that the match gets more dangerous as time goes on. (C'mon Fire Up, do something pls.)
Lmao sure you like to go down at the end because of NOED, no matter how good you played and how undeserved it was for the killer

Lmao. Can you read your post again? You assumed it's not fair trade for him and that he will "cry in the corner" if swf gets removed. You assumed they were a solo player to make an argument. And if they state they are a solo player at this point you already poisoned the well defending their position so it won't matter.

Noed doesn't counter Swf as we established (actually the opposite), so your argument makes no sense, all Noed does is hurt solos...
No, SWF hurts solos. Until it is removed from ranked strong perks that own them must exist to give killers a chance at dealing with a group. No perk is a hard counter to SWF but certain perks make dealing with SWF possible and certainly more than impossible. NOED can down one of the SWF at the right time causing a butterfly effect that would not be possible otherwise.

Noed is so op it allows me to get only single kill after gates are powered. Sometimes i ask myself do i really need noed to down single survivor after gates re powered?Noed just like Ruin is rng it carries bad killers it allows them to get 4 kills sometimes IF and i m going to say it again IF by damn luck gates happened to spawn close to each other and ruin wasnt popped up in first seconds of a game.
NOED gets 4ks on bad survivors. It doesn't get 4ks for bad killers against survivors that don't have an intention of showing their asses and letting ego rule their game. The killer can not both guard exit gates and guard the map to prevent totem cleansing. Hell, most survivors walk right by dull totems where as if each survivor cleansed just what they so happened to come across most NOEDS would never even fire. It's a git gud issue. More succinctly it's a "let's gen rush and embarrass the killer" issue. Sure, there may be an outlier case of a NOED totem stuck right inbetween the two gates but that is very rare and is no different than a totem spawning right next to a gen forcing the killer to play with three or less perks per game.

The Killer is playing with 3 perks thoughout the whole match until all gens are powered and you fail to cleanse 5 totems in the meantime? Mhm.
this.
how much more you need vs one single perk ? how much counter play adrenaline got?
like none? and 4 can have it in 1 game, you hook one with it ? still get it after save.
16 perks vs 4 is bullshit argument and i wont even explain why. If 4 survivors took adrenaline only one is going to get good use of it and in 99% times hes going to get downed before he will be able to escape.
Yeah that doesn't matter. That one person mid chase is the only relevant person at that point and they get a free out. I don't have an issue with Adrenaline as it's just another perk and having good perks is good for the game. Having a library of impotent perks is tedium. That said it gets tiring listening to survivors harp on about ANY good perk a killer has that is anything more than useless fodder that won't stop them from walking out the gate. BBQC as example.

I stated we can get rid of NOED when we get rid of SWF. How anyone feels is irrelevant to the statement in its context.

He is a solo player I think. Not everyone cries about swf.
Do you have a point? Just because solo players exist doesn't mean we go through the perks killer has that are actually useful in winning a game, gut them, while leaving SWF there to be fully exploited by the "not potatoes".

If it’s killer or survivor i have anxiety playing both roles and it’s a shame cause i really like this game. But my anxiety gets in the way a lot of the time because i ask questions like. “What if i die will my team hate me?” or “Will we lose if i don’t do that gen or save that guy?” Or as killer “If i don’t kill everybody am i bad killer?” Stuff like this makes me not want too play. Which is a shame because i really like this game. When I woke up this morning I couldn't help but ponder if Kim is the best in the community. No seriously, don't let me down. All eyes are on you. If you screw up it's going straight to the Inquirer. No but really nobody cares how good you are. If you are the best they talk trash and if you are the worst they do the same. If you happen to find a F to give, toss that bad boy right in the trash and carry on.
