"My group" what about when i got dodged 6 times two days ago as a solo queue and I only played 3 games before giving up? Was it because I'm just so darn pretentious? Get real buddy, this game is drowning because everyone is afraid to play the game lol.

    Play some Civ.

A message to all killers. I never understood why people are afraid to fight any sort of survivors. Are you not a confident killer? Do you think you're bad? I don't get it. I understand killers have almost instantaneous wait times but survivors do not. I can't tell you how annoying it is to wait 10-15 minutes to find a game just to get dodged, sometimes 3 or 4 times in a row.

Stop being afraid of SWF groups, half the time i get dodged I'm only a group of 2 people. Sometimes people join up all at once, regardless of them being in a SWF together or not. Ontop of killers being afraid of specific survivors (???) I still dont understand that stigma. "Ope nope. I can't kill them, they have a claudette on the team. Time to dodge"

So TLDR killers, please stop dodging us. We understand you find games instantly but we do not.
    -sincerely,
survivors and our ridiculous wait times.

The fact that you are pretentious and obnoxious enough to make this post highlights why a killer would want to dodge your group.

  • Great! Let's try to find more common ground. Can we agree you need to git gud and stop stinking up the forums with baddie rants?

[EDIT]: This is an edited version of the previous main post. This version will clarify some things since the previous post did not.

[Information about the perk]: For those of you who may not know, "Hex: No One Escapes Death" Is a perk that activates only when all generators are activated and the exit gates are turned on.

The perk itself is acceptable on some killers that actually need it I.E. The Clown, Freddy, Trapper, etc who cannot apply map pressure themselves alone. These killers are in my opinion in need of an end game boost to even things out if the killer was doing poorly at the start and mid match. And as for actual new players this in my eyes is OK, since they just started so of course they won't be good at chases at the start. The perk itself should just be used as a learning tool rather than a crutch that most killers use to this day with 500 hours+

This post will focus on some key aspects that I believe is NOT OK. For example, if you're able to 4k a team easily before the gens are even finished why do you need NOED? You have to ask yourself "Why would a Hillbilly for example need NOED if he killed the entire team before the last gen was finished?" To rub salt in the wound, even if the killer is doing decent with 2 kills and the last gen pops its unnecessary for them to have NOED since its just overkill at that point.

[Information about my solo matches]: This part is added to clarify something to everyone on this thread. I do think ahead on NOED on every killer i'm against, the problem is most teams you are with DON'T. And as such won't help with the process of getting rid of the dull totems and instead just focus on the classic meme of "Hold down M1 to win" which doesn't help me or anyone else that deals with NOED before it is activated.

The problem with solo survivor teams is that nobody is thinking for the team, and instead themselves. Most people on a solo team won't even consider the possibility of NOED since they're too focused on doing gens and saves. And THIS is my main issue with NOED.

Now why is NOED for noobs? Allow me to clear the title up, the perk itself it useful on a variety of killers that need it [Which are listed above] but what i'm ranting about are killers that clearly don't need it, and never will need it... But still use it despite that fact. You're of course entitled to whatever perk set up you use of course, but if you don't need the perk for killers that never will need it... then you're just being unfair and in-general playing like a noob.

[TL;DR]: NOED requires next to no skill to use, and most killers that don't need it will still use it to just spite any survivor they come across in the end. Killers actually believe they're good because of this, and it just breeds more toxicity in this community than we already have.

just cleanse totems. NOED countered. 14s for 1 totem to be done and ppl still complain about NOED? hahaha you're kidding me. don't be a gen geek and do 2 or 3 totems and NOED will not spawn. WOW i know someting new. a new tactics to counter NOED. [BAD WORD] me i hear it 1st time rn too. Don't be a little cry baby. DS, SB, Toolboxes and insta heals are okay, but NOED, well NOED is for noobs right? hahaha get a life

Someone didn't read the post clearly.

No, they read the post. The rest of us just know it's a bad or a great survivor looking to make their life easier by having a cry session over something that effects their style of play. The post has no merit and is just propaganda that like the thousands before will gain no traction for support, no general consensus, and only serves to be a distraction for people that are bored and bothering to respond.

Look buddy, the entire time you've been on this thread is to belittle anyone that you come across. Clearly you don't care at all what this post says and just want to look for a fight. Nobody here cares what you have to say and the same goes for what I say. Its cute you assume I care if this gains traction or not, the post itself is just a rant on a perk I don't like. This wasn't suppose to be the end all to change minds and hearts about NOED, its just a vent on a perk I consider trash.

You can stop being a special little snowflake :)

No, I don't care what the posts says because it's just rhetoric to attack one of the few good perks the disadvantaged side has. Deal with it. This isn't your personal forum or safe space. I'm not obliged to just disagree and allow you an uncontested sounding board to lobby for bad ideas. So you can label my posts however you care too. I can't find a single F to give.

And why does this bother you exactly? At the end of it all, you're still getting points and you're still getting a 3k, just take the win and move on. Since when did the actions of what a survivor does affect a killer....oh yea. I forgot, ya'll still get upset at tea-bagging and pointing. Never mind then.

3 man games aren't fun since the game is balanced around 4...

Who cares about their fun? If it bothers them so much then there is the "Leave Match" option right there. If they don't want to be in the game then they are free to leave. Not like it won't be counted against them anyways considering the devs don't do anything about dc'ing. Fun in this game is something that does not exist. You don't care about the others persons fun. Ever. No one does, No one ever will.

Isn't fun for the killer. Some people enjoy competition...

Like i said, i don't care about either sides fun. 3 man survivor team? Good for me, ez points. i'm on the 3 man team, fine by me. Gather as many points as i can, and if possible, loop the killer. Simple as that.

Good thing we don't balance things around what you think, since you don't care about either side's fun. Imagine if the devs followed this logic.

At the end of the day, three-man games aren't how it should be.The survivor side will just get stomped if the killer knows what he's doing, and the killer will barely have a game. And even if the devs don't do enough about DCing, the other survivors will end up losing points, items, offerings, and time. More needs to be done against people who DC.

To an extent, I think we should care about the other side's fun. Not to the point where we get guilt tripped into playing by made-up rules or anything, but when there's an issue that impacts the game a lot, like DCing without punishment or imbalance, we should care enough to try and fix it.

No, not gonna happen. You have one side that complains if something is done with the other side, and you have another side that uses "Sweaty" add-ons just to get the 4k. Get over it, it's not something to be complaining about.

The hanging of the lobby to the point people often quit to get out of that screen further increasing the problem is though. Be prepared to have it addressed in the future. It can take minutes for the game to read that loading screen quitter as "timed out". The more people abuse it, and it is being abused, the faster the fix will come.

When a noed user says "git gud" 😂👍. Thanks for making me laugh. I'm a 50/50 player always rank 1 and I've never used noed. I rarely even camp or tunnel (unlike most noed users). People who need noed to win are just bad at the game. Simple as that.

Also play solo survivor for one day and look for all totems before touching a gen. Tell me how often you escaped. Most likely 0 times. You can not look for totems for minutes since a GOOD killer will typically sacrifice 1-2 survivors within those minutes. But obviously a noed user wouldn't know that as they typically get rekt all game and merely get their kills by slugging as many survivors as possible using 1 single perk slot that gives them the cheapest instadown in the game combined with more movement speed and reduced cooldown as noed users typically need to swing 10 times before they hit😂

So what? Marth88 took every killer to rank 1 perkless so your feat is meaningless and by your same standard because he did it anyone that doesn't is just bad. But arguments laced with pejoratives attacking that what you don't like are pointless. Nobody cares what you think is newbish or not. Your approval means nothing to anyone here. Hell, let me know the 4 most newbish perks in your opinion and i'll use them exclusively to post videos of gameplay exploiting them right here on the forums and dedicate them to you.

Poor baby. You didn't break the dull totems, rushed the gens, and got owned at the end. It'll be okay.

Pro tip: If the gens seem to be going way too fast and the killer isn't defending them they are very likely waiting on NOED. So that means you hop off gens and go cleanse those totems. Additionally, stop deluding yourself that you have the god jukes, because you don't, and just leave the game. =)

You act like everyone played in a SWF team with voice communication. If you play solo you literally have 0% chance of knowing if someone else has cleansed a totem and if you check the whole map for minutes just to end up finding the remains of a cleansed totem you're going to lose because of the minutes you wasted. So basically NOED users say: "Survivors don't have a right to win. They can either die because they spent minutes looking for totems while I facecamped the first survivor while my ruin was still up @ 5 gens OR they can die because of 1 perk slot that gets me an easy 4k". I'm starting to think that killer mains are more salty and toxic than survivors.

Then go check. It almost sounds as if you feel entitled to a danger forecast. The killer gives up a perk slot all game for end game strength. Git gud.

And your OP sounds like the meanderings of a bad survivor still going through the learning phase.

NOED is a tricky one since it destroys solo Q survivors but SWF will make sure it doesn't see the light of day.

NOED should be reworked so it doesn't destroy one side too much in my opinion. No One Escapes Death:

Progress infuriates you and gives you fuel to kill. Whenever a generator is completed, receive a 10% haste effect for 10/20/30 seconds. On the final generator being completed, all remaining pallets in the trial will get struck down by the Entity.

Notice: It's not a Hex and it doesn't destroy only solo Q survivors. Both sides will have to be careful about this perk!

Why would breaking pallets when the gens are done and gates open be useful? And a timed haste? I think Hope gives 2 minutes. That's utterly useless. What a horrible suggestion. Just bad. I mean who in their right mind would waste a perk slot all game for that? You should feel ashamed for even offering that as an alternative.

NOED doesn't destroy a survivor that isn't in the match. Do the gens and leave. Leave carefully and not with the intention of taunting and teabagging on your way out trying to farm extra points. Don't ignore the heartbeat when you work on gates. Or clean the totems. Problem solved.

Now it sounds looks like both sides feel entitled to certain things. Survivors want to last longer than 2 minutes in a game and maybe exit through the gates. Killers feel entitled to killing all 4 survivors in every match. People forget that this game is meant to be fun for both sides, not just killers and not just survivors. I think I had a good idea: make the matches last longer. It would be more fun, but you probably don't want to have chase them again. Does everyone want every match to last only 5 or 6 minutes? What fun is that? I'm all for giving survivors other things to do to make matches last longer, but it looks like you just want to get your 4k kills as quickly as possible before moving on to your next match. But I think quick matches like that aren't fun, whether I'm a survivor or killer.

I still think it's a good idea. I'd like to hear feedback on it.

And you can last longer than 2 minutes if you don't suck. Killers are not handed 4ks but they have the chance at it if they don't suck. Working as intended. What you want is a mechanic that makes up for you sucking. No. If you suck then you deal with your suck. We don't artificially make the killer suck to make you feel better.

Also, an entitlement is when someone demands something they did not earn be given to them. That is what you are asking for. Killers are not asking for a mechanic to give them 4ks, just the opportunity.

Just increase hooking time to 15-20 minutes. Then no killer will camp.

I like this but how about the death bar doesn't go down till the killer is away(like the saying a watched pot never boils)but we need something else so survivors don't really fast unhook either if anyone got idea?

edit have idea after kill is far away entity surround the hooked survivor and there like a 10 20 or 30 sec cooldown before they can be unhooked, but in this time survivor can still try unhooking him/her self tho still 4% so yea

    how that?

The killers job is not to chase you and down you for 3 hooks. The killers job is to sacrifice you. It may just so happen that due to time constraints you get three chances. There are no entitlements to multiple chances.

I'm tired of hearing, "I only play like/say/do this because they do/say/play like that." It's a stupid, nonsensical circle of poo. Knock it off. <3

    Let's sum this up.

You state we should stop camping and tunneling.
We laugh at your suggestion and tell you not a chance.
    Your move.

  • @Zombiella said:
I will be the first to admit that being a killer main is basically like walking into and 24/7 Taco Bell with a sign around your neck that says "S**t on me!". If that's too graphic, it's like walking into a pro-wrestling match, getting in the ring and taunting the wrestlers. You get the point...

However...It's really obnoxious how many people say things like, "It's a tactic" and "Don't get caught". First of all, 'don't get caught'? Pipe tf down, you know that's the dumbest "advice", lmao. Even the best get caught, ok?
Stop defending it; you know it's not fun and you know it spurs a lot of negativity, just like teabaggers and people who will wait at the gate for 5 minutes just to gloat. It's literally the equivalent of people who say "it's just crouching bruh". It is what it is; if you wanna camp, tunnel or teabag that's fine, but stop trying to pretend you aren't contributing to this toxic community by doing so...

There's plenty of times when the game calls for camping/patrolling/tunneling---gen rushing and/or ruin got done in 2 secs (srsly, I spawn right in front of it A LOT), no kill pressure or kills, someone was really toxic, it's late game, etc...but face camping the first person you see is some ridiculous bs and there's no excuse except maybe if you're running insidious (lol) or it's someone who you have played against who was very toxic. Otherwise, if you do it at least have the balls to admit that you're being toxic and stop trying to defend it.

When I play as the killer, I hook and leave, I make it a point not to hook the same person twice in a row except in rare situations, and I always PIP and usually kill about 2-3 mostly because I give hatch to the last guy if I feel like they played well. Perhaps that's why it bothers me so much to see people defending it.
These are usually the same people who dodge a lobby because of SWF, or flashlights (which have been nerfed a lot and has MULTIPLE counters), or those who constantly whine about DS even though you can slug or dribble the person, or those who complain about Self Care, Exhaustion perks and/or Pallet Looping which have all been nerfed.

I've written a long enough post...
tl;dr: stop perpetuating the toxicity and think about what you can do to be a better player instead of resorting to cheap tactics and/or blaming others and lashing out or making pathetic excuses. I'm tired of hearing, "I only play like/say/do this because they do/say/play like that." It's a stupid, nonsensical circle of poo. Knock it off. <3

There is no defense necessary. We simply don't care about the person on the hook or how they feel. We don't care if they are enjoying themselves or not. We don't care if they get mad and quit because they lost.

You can label it poor play, bad, whatever you care too. We don't care. You will continue to be hooked and camped as the situation dictates and the only person that will ever have any bearing on that decision is the killer.

Welcome to the competitive gaming world snowflake.

    This community...wow.

Your opinion does not represent "good" and what is best for the game. It's just your agenda placed behind a word people are familiar with. Much as mainstream scientism, a new religion based on pseudoscience, hiding its religion behind the word science.

I don't care about new players. New players are just new players. They are deserving of nothing more than not new players. One of the worse things a gaming company can do is offer protections for them as they will inevitably be exploited. I can list you dozens if not hundreds of games elaborating on that.

There are no sides here. You do not represent anything other than a person who failed at not getting caught and disliking that the person who caught you will not "let you go free, easily".

It doesn't matter if they can be beat or if I need to change my playstyle to deal with them. I simply won't because I don't want to, nor have to and I don't wish to extend that advantage to people. Perhaps others will be so inclined. Either way, one less.

    • Dedicated servers aren't going to fix players disconnecting if they get owned by a good killer...
    • Neither is it going to shorten queues as long as there are not enough killers for all the people that only want to play survivors.

What it'll do is take a lot of Lag out of the game, and that on it's own is sorely needed!

Not necessarily. It will provide tbd server quality which may or may not offer better internet. I have gigabit internet. Just about everyone connecting to me has sub 75 ping. I'm now going to be forced to connect to people through servers god knows where.

I find this perplexing on both a design and balance state. Trapper already has counterplay against his power with both sabotage, small game, and just looking down and disabling traps. Why does he step in his traps? Why does he have this in his design?

Again, camping sucks. It is absolutely foolish to camp the first hook and is mostly done out of a want to grief. Camping the hook while the gates are activated is the complete opposite. It secures that last kill and is almost foolish to not do. That is where the entire camping argument gets lost. One works, the other is just dumb.

Sure it sucks for the person being camped, but they don't matter. They should have did more to not be that person hooked. Pejoratives and rhetoric designed to make a killer feel guilty is pointless. No one cares. Feel free to do so in my game, i'll be sure and throw you a ;) and immediately close the game down to leave you to choke on your grief with no cathartic release.

  • @Warlock_2020 said:
I get camping when the gates are triggered/open, or if survivors are swarming the hook. That makes total sense. This whole thing about "...securing your kill.." screams you can't hunt down another in a decent amount of time. I love playing several killers, but I can't, for the life of me, sit there and camp a hook. It is boring, it is fruitless, and I'd rather try to get another hooked before that one is off. That means 3 people off of gens.

Camping is not a legit strategy, it is a griefing style of play. Admit it, and move on. It is not bannable, but it is a crappy play style. Nobody enjoys being camped. Nobody can avoid getting hooked all the time, so you can't blame the survivor. It is just a broken style of gameplay. I can't bring myself to do it. It is so boring.

Oh well. It is what it is.

It's not hard to get at all. People want to win and camping is one of the better ways to slow the game down and help do so. It has the potential to bring 1-3 other survivors off the gens to help with the save.
Camping is a legit strategy, it is not griefing, and you have no idea of what you are talking about.
You do not, versus competent survivors, have time to down and hook 4 survivors 3 times each. You can claim anything you want to but everyone knows the truth. The only players you can allow unhooks at will and still win are versus the completely inept.
You're a survivor players making untrue assertions about what is feasible in killer play to make a case for your hate for guarding a down.
Instead of demanding killers get better at downing survivors how about you get better at not getting caught? Can't? Too bad.
Learn to lose with grace instead. Whinging about being camped is not graceful.
Just admit most survivors are failures less they be killers instead and move on.

  • @No_Cluie_Louis said:
I hate it when people say that. The game isn't meant to be played so you die on first hook, that's why there are 3 hooks before death. Sure, you COULD leave them and win, but it would be so boring as the other 3 survivors would have no challange and only be on gens, and the killer and the survivor hooked wouldnt be doing anything. It's the most boring strat, and you win by literally boring everyone to death

There is no "way it's meant to be played". You can be mori'd after 1 hook. You have a maximum of three hooks but there is no entitlement to three chances.

Nah sorry that’s just an a hole thing to do. At least 1 person could attempt to save them. It’s completely unfair to basically get no points for the round because u weren’t allowed to do anything

Failure isn't fair? You must be a part of the participation trophy generation. Welcome to the real world. It's a cutthroat place where if you can't perform you lose you job, if you are nice the not so nice screw you over through your naivety, and a wild animal will eat you without compassion or thought into the pain you suffer, your condition, or your age.

  • It's more than just faster vault speed. it's faster pickups, breaking of pallets and gens, and vaults. It's a cumulative effect that stacks with EW3.

  • @XavierBoah17 said:

Getting hooked is bound to happen to anyone in a game. Not saying that I agree with this guys suggestion, just saying you dont have to be an a-hole about it.

How about killers automatically damaging the sacrifice time of survivors the longer they go without finding someone? Or how about all survivors auras are revealed to killers if they aren't winning? If you run stealth and are doing great how about a random noise spawn at your location as to help the killer out?

Does rewarding a killers failure sound good? In each of those situations the killer is not engaged, failing, and on the clock. It isn't "fun" as losing never is.

Sacrifice time at maximum is two minutes and you are not forced to stay if your attention span and tolerance for inactivity can not last that 2 minutes. But one can claim to be bored in any situation to justify making not losing, "fun", and asking for buffs for it.

A much easier to implement solution is for the survivor to "git gud" and not get hooked as to participate in the other activities. The hook is not a nice place nor should it offer bonus rewards for failure.

git gud, huh? I'm willing to bet I could hook every single one of the highest skilled survivors one game right after another. If I can hook anybody, that means they all suck, right? Or maybe somebody getting hooked is just a mandatory part of the game. But no, I'm sure you're right, and if everybody survivor is skilled, not a single one of them will ever get hooked. Which ironically, now that I think about it, says more about the balance of the game than anything else.

That's nice dear. I've found through my time playing DbD the people that come to the forums asking for free outs or bonuses for failure are never as good as they claim. It's fairly self evident too as if you can hook survivors flawlessly then you need only not make the mistakes they did to avoid being hooked yourself. Monto is an excellent example of one of those premier players. He is a great survivor and when you watch him play killer he knows all of the tricks and counters them almost flawlessly.

that good idea even when you start the game really close to the killer he down you with one hit I most suck don't been the fact that the killer are much faster then the killer too.

Yep. Works the same whether you are close or far from the killer. The game doesn't have a guaranteed path to success. Sometimes you can do everything right and still lose. It's the same for both sides. C'est La Vie.

  • @KiraElijah said:
Sorry, but there’s a difference.. 2 of those ruin games

No difference. Besides, it doesn't ruin the killers game and from the killers perspective it's all that matters. Just like taunts don't ruin survivors games and to them it is all that matters. Teabag once I ensure you go down and camp you out of the game. Amusingly, it's always me laughing at the end game chat with the camped raging.

  • It has to be kills, not points.
    Mori's are fine.
I can't recall whether a dc in game matters. I know if the game starts with one survivor down it won't count.

I've managed to do all of the adept's, survivor and killer, sans the Nurse. Good luck.

But if you refuse for unnecessary reasons then you deserve a time ban for wasting everyone's time like other games, at the point that you're selfishness starts hurting que times and could potentially hurt the player base when it takes an hour for a game  someone should grow a pair and stop being a cuck it's ridiculous to think you feel like it's fine to waste other people's time because you're afraid to play

What about the killers time? You have nothing but 4 man VOIP groups pop in and they are perfectly equipped and synched to do the gens long before the killer has time to secure a kill. You add in a perk like OoO and the killer can spend the entire game not even finding a survivor. If they should so happen to find someone you have flashlight saves, body blocks, sabo hooks, DS, etc. The list is extensive.

But at it's core the killer is not responsible for your groups time being wasted and the day they are forced to be so is the day your killer community stops playing out of frustration. I'm perfectly content with watching this unfold when they add dedicated servers, and then try to buff killers at a snails pace to compensate.

    You do have a chance.

    Do not get caught.

It's just that simple. No one is entitled to get a second chance if they get hooked.

    Nice strawman

That's not a strawman. It's the objective reality you seem to live outside of. It doesn't matter how many different ways you ask for guaranteed second chances, you aren't getting them. If the killer wishes to remove a select individual they will always have the opportunity. To remove it means the games will lose their uniqueness and become nothing but repetitive procedure. You catch X and he escapes, you catch X again he escapes again, you catch X they die. The devs will never implement this.

  • @thesuicidefox said:
What is it with people wanting RBT buffs? They are fine just the way they are. They are meant to slow down the game by giving survivors another objective. They are NOT meant to kill.

Bad killers asking for handouts. Learn 2 play. Come at me.

There seems to be an ironic philosophy in DbD that the killer is not meant to kill, only prolong the game to farm score and then have everyone escape.

  • @Peanits said:
It is bannable. If you don't have a recording, please don't create a ticket with screenshots, we cannot accept them as proof. Filing an in-game report will be sufficient.

Does this mean games are now reviewable through the report system and we no longer need a video recording or is it both required?

You can't keep whipping the volunteers while demanding they endure broken mechanics like SWF dear. As fun as it probably seems there is no mechanic to force them to play. They just leave. They aren't going to play tedious games because you insist.

Um?? Am I incorrect to think that it's mostly survivors that DC???

Well I assumed the derank remark was meant for a killer doing so to new survivors but I suppose it could be 4 survivors doing it to a killer. It's easier logistically for a killer to do it I think as they only need 1 person to coordinate the effort where the SWF requires multiple.

You aren't getting a free out. Deal with it.

  • @SpongeBob420Pants said:

Just because it sucks and isn't fun doesn't mean it's a broken mechanic that needs to be fixed. It's part of the game. Getting hooked sucks, period. Getting looped sucks and so does getting pallet stunned or flashlight blinded. They are still not broken mechanics just because it sucks when it happens to you.

"It sucks and isn't fun but it's ok because it isn't broken". Sorry but that's just stupid, the game should be fun and balanced.

Getting looped doesn't suck, the chase is the best aspect of the game for both killer and survivor and anyone complaining about pallet loops doesn't appreciate the chase or the mind games involved.

Getting blinded can be annoying but it should only work if you're locked in animation of pallet break/vault, when picking someone up just face a wall.

    *Edit: Typo

This post right here is where everyone can just stop bothering. You have no appreciation for anyone else but yourself, will never have an idea taken seriously by the community or devs, and are frankly a waste of energy.
    Have a great day.

My point is that it's not fun for survivors to die on their first hook, tunneling is a legitimate strategy and there's nothing to discourage it which means it happens all the time and causes toxicity.

Once again you have failed to point out a flaw in my argument.

My point is what is or isn't fun to survivors means absolutely nothing. Repeatedly chasing the same survivor through loops and pallets is not fun. Losing isn't fun. Survivors fun is not a speck more important or relevant than a killers fun. The game produces unfun moments for both sides and personal skill determines who is going to have that occur the least. Not hard coded 2nd chance mechanics.

The flaw in your argument is that you believe your fun is relevant to the balance of the game or workable mechanics. It isn't and is nothing more than an emotive meme.

I've stated multiple times I play rank 1/red rank every month with both killer and survivor. I've also stated that I'd be happy for killers to get buffed in anyway that seems appropriate. Your statement "what is or isn't fun to survivors means absolutely nothing" proves you are unfit to have a discussion on how to improve the game. The game should be fun for both sides and dying to 1 hook isn't. If the killer needs a buff to compensate my idea then so be it, that doesn't change the fact that the killer playing in the objectively best way to win (remove a survivor from the game as quickly as possible to stop gen pressure) causes at least 1 survivor to have a bad time and is a huge factor in the overall toxicity of the game.

No, I'm perfectly fit for balance discussions because I don't try and bring up what I play, as just about everyone plays both sides to some degree, to try and substitute for an argument. Tunneling the weakest is a part of the game. You not liking it or not having fun is 100% irrelevant to whether it is balanced or how it should play out.

There is no way to make every situation fun. Fun to me is hooking you and making sure you die. Not after 3 chances, but 1. You state that dying to 1 hook isn't fun. We are at an impasse. And that is why you are wrong and there is no negotiation or middle ground to be had. If you loop me for 3 minutes I'm camping you for three minutes. Win or lose. If you should so happen to be rescued and I can help it, I'm immediately downing you again to further shorten how long it is before you are gone.

You playing rank 1 means absolutely nothing at all. It just means you have nothing better to do with your time than sit around and play dead by daylight all month long. It does not put you in a position to arbitrate what is or isn't fun to everyone nor does it grant IQ in terms of understanding balance. At best it gives you muscle memory and map acclimation. And that's about it.

To further support my point, you claim tunneling sucks and I'm assuming are willing to concede three chances per survivor is not tenable for killer gameplay. So how about we remove mori addons and once you are hooked the next time you are downed you are eligible to be mori'd? Then there is plenty of time to avoid tunneling and the killer no longer has to feel like immediately removing one is how best to slow the game down.

Stating a killer needs a buff to compensate does not make your idea fair or balanced nor add to it's appeal. It just makes it appear as if you're willing to dangle a carrot of worthless rhetoric as you demand a free 2nd or 3rd chance.
