Every killer out there.

Bugs Bunny next killer.
You heard it here first!

The unrequested rework killed him. That's why.

Sadly yes. That's exactly what people want. Based on the fact of how many times I've had to read "but she ignores the games rules !!!!" Even though she's not the only one. They want to hold W. Not look behind them. Pre drop
I can't remember who I said it to. But most of the roster feels like the same damn killer to me. Why does pig, clown, plague, oni, nemesis, legion, etc etc all feel like the same damn killer to me. From a survivor POV. They feel like the same killer to me. Pre drop and hold W. Deny them their power as long as possible. It's all the same. And it's what people seem to want
That really is sad. Always doing the exact same thing gets boring quickly.

You need to realize when a killer is too strong or too weak.
You cant say we need more strong killer while denying the fact some killer are too strong.
Its hard to measure the actual power of a killer, when everyone simply refuses to play against him.
-
I´m just tired of my teammates instantly abandoning the match, even when its a terrible nurse. Suiciding and hoping that she eventually gets nerfed because of that, isn´t helping anyone. Are people really so entitled, that they refuse to adapt to different killers, and expect that everything has the same counter?
Imagine you get non stop the same killer. That would become boring pretty fast. Variety is what keeps this game entertaining. We need more strong killers. Not more weak killers.

You’re amazing too :)
Not many are willing to stick by their opinions even if they are somewhat unpopular (though I agree with most of them) which is respectable
My favourites are probably @Marigoria, @Huge_Bush,@Tsulan, @Aven_Fallen and @Leachy_Jr
Special shout out to Clown is king who is no longer with us but was an amazing member and fellow clown main (way better than me at him as well)
Thank you!
Defending an opinion can be sometimes difficult on this forum. Much appreciated, that you find it respectable.

The changes seem to aim at increasing camping. Probably to increase the dropping kill rates.
Welcome to Camp by Daylight.

It's certainly a bit of an overreaction, definitely, though this is no rarity on forums such like this, but the OP definitely has a very valid point. These changes we are getting might be good, but survivors just aren't getting anything as compensation. There needed to be nerfs to tunneling and camping, proper ones, instead we just get 5 seconds of haste and endurance, and camping is even getting buffed, which is ridiculous.
I am positive a lot of survivor players, especially solo queue players, will take a break from this game, and killer queue times will very likely go up like crazy.
Though seeing some of the posts on these forums, I feel like some people just want those juicy killer queue times.
The issue is, that every single time something "op" gets introduced/nerfed. One side writes, that the other side will face longer queues (i´m guilty of this myself), because XXX will stop playing. If its as harsh as people claim is hard to say. (just like the "the game is dying" claims, that have been around for 5 years.)
As far as i can tell, all changes aim to make camping stronger. Maybe its the devs attempt to even out the kill rates by increasing kills through camping.
But thats definetly something that will have a negative impact on survivors fun. So i´m not sure why they are doing this without thinking at the consequences.
-
Since we don´t have any official word about nurse getting nerfed and only "nerf nurse" threads. I´d say the eta for a nerf is pretty far away.

Tbf it seems to be a pretty effective strategy to get killers nerfed if we look a Freddy’s current state
Yeah, its a worrying trend. Last night i watched a streamer who complained about having someone suicide on the first hook in every single match. Chat confirmed that several streamers had the same issue.
Almost like they want to scew the kill rates/get to a lower mmr that is below their actual mmr.

now, i prefer pop+ call of brine or call of brine and eruption.. against SWF with their comunication, overcharge never will goes to work fine
The nerf to pop will make it unviable to combo with call of brine.
Despite the bonus seconds to gen repair time, i doubt we´ll see much slower gens. I would even go as far as to say that gens will be completed faster than before. Simply, because the slowdown perks do so little.
-
The last event showed how fast survivors can complete their objective, when they are determined to do so. No amount of slowdown perks or camping stopped that. Now with the upcoming nerf of the slowdown meta, gens will fly even faster (yes, i´m aware that gen time has been increased).
Which will in return lead to killers camping more, because they want to secure that one kill.
The balancing around kills instead of actual hooks was the same mistake as the Victory Cube was. We´ve all seen, where that lead to (camping meta).
This is just going full circle.

Bruh,what's there to study,its been 6 years.
It doesn't take much to realize how strong she is,few hours of watching Nurse gameplay at most is enough to understand why she's busted.
The only thing that is busted about her, is that people instantly disconnect or suicide when facing her.
How do you nerf that?
-
Correct. Which will make it a low tier perk instead of the supposed meta one.
I´m curious how killers will adapt to this new slowdown meta.

People did not use CoB because they had stronger perks. Ruin, Pop was best regression perks and both them nerfed. I think CoB will be seen more in trials.
Ruin + Pop wasn´t a combo though. It was a safety net. Because one perk can´t work, while the other is alive. A build with the mindset of losing Ruin was and still is a terribly inefficient idea.
CoB + Pop was in every aspect superior for gen slowdown. Yet it didn´t turn into meta. Just like CoB + Overcharge won´t make it into meta. At least not for longer than a couple of weeks.
Solo queue isn´t in that bad spot you think it will be with the upcoming patch. Don´t worry to much about it. BT is still strong. OTR still gives a second/third health state as long as the survivor doesn´t touch anything and MoM still combos with it.
-

CoB will be def meta after update. BHVR is changing meta to kicking gens. Overcharge nerfed but it is still good combo with CoB.
CoB also was the perfect match for Pop. Yet, people only played that combo for a couple of weeks and then completely stopped combining those 2 perks. I can´t remember the last time, i´ve seen someone use CoB.

eruption works as normal but call of brine gets a 200% boost plus dragons grip is good with the new gen regression 2.0 build.
Call of brine already has that 200% boost and isn´t currently meta. It doesn´t get buffed so nothing will change in that regard.
-
Ah the memories. Those were good times!

What do you mean even with the slow start you get a 200% reduction with call of brine and eruption you get the reduction plus if someone gets hit with it they cant do anything for 30 seconds by the time that 12 seconds is done the damage will already have been done just throw in dragons grip for insult to injury. Its already the meta in the ptb. Over charged is still a great perk.
The 200% reduction is just the normal speed a single survivor takes to repair a gen. Survivors would really completely forget about that gen they started, in order to get any benefit from it.
Eruption will work with the normal regression speed. Not the 200% from overcharge and dragons grip will be as meta as its right now. (nobody uses it)
-
Nobody knows when the patch drops. Could be next week or end of the month.
-
@Tatt3dWon said:

The meta for killer is still overcharged call of brine eruption and whatever your heart desires.
the meta for survivor is gen rush any way possible.
Nah, overcharge having such a slow start will prevent it from becoming meta. Just as call of brine or eruption aren´t meta right now. Sure, you´ll see killers test a variety of combos of those perks, once the patch goes live. But after 2 or 3 weeks none will be meta.
-
MoM will combo well with OtR. Even after the nerf.
-
You get off hook and as long as you don´t try to self heal, or touch a gen, totem, another survivor, etc. OTR will still be active when you are fully healed and then injured again until you would be put into the dying state. So effectivly 3 hits to get downed.

This would also make it feel a little better when you get killed super early. Even if you flop super hard as killer you typically will have higher bp than the survivor that did best. Increasing those gains couldn't hurt.
Thats actually not true. Decent survivors can earn just as much bloodpoints as killers and when you die super early, then just move on to the next match. Killer has to stay until the match is over.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3056476#Comment_3056476
Killer can block your way to go. It is not hard for 5 seconds.
Well, everything was nuked. Even for killers. So just enjoy the new liberty of not having any decent perks to choose from. You can finally play with whatever wacky loadout you want, and no one is going to judge you anymore for not bringing the meta.
It honestly feels liberating. I don´t know, if it will feel like that for a long time, but we´ll see.
-
Just an idea, but they could add the heads of the survivors and killers you p3 as charms. Like little trophys that you keep on your belt/hook.

You're not searching effectively. In the forums search function you can search for posts from one specific author so you don't need to scroll through post historys.
This might be true. Never bothered to dig up the past comments of someone else. So no idea.
-
Oh i did let survivors go. When someone disconnected/suicided early. Or when they were clearly new players, due to all the mistakes they made.
Endgame chat: gg eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzz, plz uninstall noob killer, etc
I´m afraid my motivation to continue playing nice like this is proportional to the amount of toxic behavior in the endgame chat.

Just saying that "never" is a pretty strong word.
It took like 2 minutes.
It took me 10 minutes scrolling through my own comments while knowing the month I'd have to search for.
So let's just say, I'm a bit sceptical about those 2 minutes.

Now back to the topic of Billy being harder than Nurse.
Billy was the gold standard on how a good killer should be balanced. Both sides agreed that he didn´t require changes/nerfs (which is usually rare). There where just some issues with a couple of addons but his basekit was perfectly fine. Now his rework went totally overboard with the heat mechanic and he suddenly became a very rare sight.
But honestly, Nurse and Billy are not really comparable.

You've said a lot of things implying that solo q is fine.
The reason I asked you to stream your solo q games is because I want to see you play so we can all be pros in solo q like you, not because streamer's opinions are more important than people who dont stream
Because solo queue IS fine.
The devs can´t fix bad teammates that instantly dc on the first down or suicide on the first hook. Thats also something i have been repeating ad nauseum.
Look, i know you had a hard time as solo survivor and i usually don´t do this. But if you send me a friend request on steam or discord. I´ll find some time to play together with you.
-
Nice catch! Back from DEZEMBER. You sure did some digging there. Extra points for the effort. This is also a comment from the very same thread you pointed out. My comment makes a little more sense with this added piece.

Pinhead’s addons were nerfed because apparently he was “over performing”
and now people are already wanting The Artist nerfed even more? Even though the ‘idle crow’ damage from the PTB was already removed
Imagine if Nurse was a new killer and was only released today instead? She’d be nerfed into oblivion instantly. I imagine it would go something like this…
“we feel like Nurse has been over performing recently at higher MMR and agreed that the ability to ignore walls and pallets offered no counter play, so now when Nurse hits an injured survivor after blinking through an obstacle they will instead be put into the ‘deep wound’ status instead of going down
Why is it older killers like Nurse and Huntress are allowed to be strong but not newer killers?
I´ll also link the thread, in case someone else doesn´t want to scroll 15 minutes through my comments.
@deKlaw_04 not so fast. That screenshot was taken out of context. As a direct response to a 90-95% nurse kill rate.

Could you quote me on that? Cause i never claimed to have a 80% escape rate.

People got used to push out gens fast, during the event.
Now they'll just continue to do that. The upcoming extra 10 seconds of gen time won't have the desired impact. Especially since they nuked the slowdown meta.

We have a lot of people on this forum that claim that solo queue is a living hell. So maybe they all stopped playing.

Or to play another game. When im being tunneled and camped I have bad habit to do that then as killer to payback. Eventhought I still usually manage to play lot fairer than killers I face would be maybe better idea to keep a break. Thought I have evolved recently and play now tombstone myers after rought games...
That is also something nobody talks about, but what I suspect, happens quite often: players that felt miserable during a match, switching roles in an attempt to make others also feel miserable.
When a killer camps&tunnels, survivors only talk about "only killer mains do that" but what if its actually the other way around?
-
@AnchorTea said:

By a massive change of keeping the gates at zero it would make the endgame very one-sided. It would un fun for survivors.
Keeping them at 99% with absolutely no risk for survivors, makes them unfun for killers.
For example, Blood Warden only starts once the gates are open. Survivors 99 the gate and completely nullify the perk. While having 0 fear of staying longer in the trial.
-
@AnchorTea said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3050114#Comment_3050114
It would make the ending of the match too challenging for survivor. The focus should be more even spreading out the difficulty throughout the whole match instead of it all piling up in the end. A hex perk that regresses gate times could work, but having it reset back to 0 after releasing is too damn far.
I play both roles fyi.
It would make the end more strategic for both sides. Endgame perks should be strong and have a impact on the match. Since they are inactive during the bigger part of the match.
Wake Up could be buffed and allow for a break of the meta.
But that's only possible when gates are regressing and still form a obstacle for survivors.
-
DbD has no evaluation system, you can´t see your and the other peoples mmr rating and you don´t get viable feedback after a match.
So people don´t know where they stand at skill wise and whenever they lose, its not their fault, but that game mechanic/bug/OP thing/butterfly flapping with its wings.
Then they come to the forum and say that they´re in elo hell, because they always get terrible teammates or seal team 6 squads. When its actually their own skill or the lack of.
