But survivors can decide to have easy games by playing in a way the game was never intended to? Or by last second switching?Aven_Fallen said:@Tsulan said:
Survivors lobby dodged in order to play with their friends until the devs introduced SWF.
That was totally normal and acceptable.
Killers lobby dodge in order to avoid playing against SWF? "This needs to be addressed asap! They need to be punished!!!"Hypocrisy at its finest.
You cannot do a Multiplayer Onlinegame without expecting that Friends want to play together. And I am not talking about 4 Man SWFs who want to bully Killers, there are way more normal SWFs (2,3 and 4 Man) who play completely normally.
But it is surely not intended that Killers can decide that they want the easy games.
btw. every Killer that does not dodge has my respect. Those are either the Killers that really play fair and for fun or the really good Killers.
-
God beware if killers dodge a high ping survivor.fcc2014 said:@Tsulan killers are not just dodging swf they are dodging solo also. Pull your head out of your ass if swf was removed from the game tm, another excuse would be made.
Oh wait, survivors can't see other survivors pings... but lets propose punishment anyway. Because reasons.
I never asked for the removal of SWF.
Since that would badly hurt the playerbase.
Swf players however just love to propose bans for dodging killers. Since this game doesn't requires killers to be played... oh wait maybe they haven't thought the thing through. -

Pretty much thisDCh4rlie said:I'm not sure, but I think one could indeed argue that Leatherface came out to fix two major problems at that time:
Let's look at his perks:
Franklin's Demise came up when the flashlights went insane:
Insta 0,2s blinding time and a loooooot of DCs (in order to keep flashlights) made this a broken item with an insane inflationary amount of them.
BBQ: When the Lullaby DLC came out, survivors got WGLF that gave you up to 200% more bloodpoints per trial. Killer didn't had any BP multiplier perks until LF came out. Also, the balance back then was muuuuuch worse (double pallets, pallet vacuum). Those things combined resulted in many people switching to survivor (including many killer mains) simply because it was more easy, relaxed and gave you much more BPs. This led to insanely long waiting time on the survivor side (15min as solo, up to 50mins as a SWF) for the time between lullaby DLC and LF DLC.
*edit: Also, don't forget that back then Starbreeze still had the rights to DBD, which means that it might be possible that they also pushed the devs to release new content. -
No to more ways to get stacks.Delfador said:@Tsulan said:
Good, you already see how the behavior of survivors is affected when they get extra rewards for completing gens. Now Imagine that they could get 4 stacks by repairing gens alone or from being chased.
They would focus on gen rush like they do now and ignore hooks. After all, it would be double bloodpoints for 5 minute matches.
I don't think I have said anything about gens or chases, my posts are the second and the fifth one, and if you read them you will see that I am against chase part.
OP didn't bring generator part up so I didn't say anything about it. I am against it too.
Healing tokens or picking people up from the ground would not hurt anybody. It would actually improve the perk because people would want to save survivors when the killer leaves just so that they can heal somebody and get another token for that.
But I'm not opposed to new perks that specifically give bonus points for certain activities.
I posted a proposal for additional BP perks months ago. But not many people clicked it. -
You mean like Freddy? Because he's supposed to be a endgame killer.DemonDaddy said:Would love another strategic killer. Has been said different times.
Survivors can get them for unhooking the same survivor over and over.
For getting hit next to an injured survivor.
For getting hit when the killer carries someone.
For flashlight saves.
For pallet saves.Killer gets 1 per different survivor he hooks.
End...But you want to give survivors even more ways to gain points.
Running in circles was proposed.
Completing gens was proposed.
Healing was proposed. If the devs add more ways, the community will regret it. People would do everything but unhooks or saves.
Our community simply does not know how to behave.
That's one of the reasons the bonus points got nerfed. Because survivors farmed each other for stacks. But sure, go ahead and change it.
I'll watch and laugh at the complaints that survivors ignore hooks.Does this answer please you more?
It doesn't please me at all.
'People would do everything but unhooks or saves'
No, even when people don't use WGLF, they still save people, it has nothing to do with this. Saving alone gives you 1.5k. I don't even understand what you mean by there. Just lately, survivors don't go to saves when the gates are powered but it has still nothing to do with WGLF. That's because of event.'Because survivors farmed each other for stacks.'
That's the whole point, people farm each other for stacks because there is not enough ways to get the tokens whether you believe it or not. If you want to get all tokens by unhooking, 2 people need to reach death hook and the killer needs to get 4 hooks. With more ways, people will not farm each other because there will be, well, more ways.People will not regret it in the slightest, I can assure you. You talk like all the unhookers are WGLF users.
I am trying something new. I take screen shots of the score page and save them for stats. I have done that in the last 47 matches and now counted it for you. There were 17 WGLF users. Some games had 3 WGLF users, some games had 1 but I will go with 1 per game. Red ranks, rank 1-2.
47-17=30
Who performed those unhooks in those 30 games when there were no WGLF users if nobody cares for unhooks?
It is not even 30 games, it is more than that, around 35 I believe. You claim is just baseless.
I would answer your other points like there are more ways to get WGLF stacks but I have already done it in other posts so I really don't want to repeat myself.
They would focus on gen rush like they do now and ignore hooks.
After all, it would be double bloodpoints for 5 minute matches. -
I've got a p3 Freddy and played purely him from rank 12 to 1.
He could use some QoL changes like no cd after sleeping someone, harder wake ups, rework of his perks, ability to pick up downed survivors while they are getting healed, ability to interrupt m1 actions like everyone else, rework of his addons, or basically a complete overhaul.
But I like his power and the strategies it allows. -

Traffic light killer confirmed!

They get treated for the burn out syndrome.
-
Take a break from the game.
Best advice I can give you.
This game tends to burn out killer mains.
Most killer streamers have been taking a break since it's so unbalanced.
Even Matt Cote recommended playing something else, when a killer complained during a dev stream.
-
No, no aaaaand no.

Why make it even easier? -
A hooked one.
-
Camping was a planned feature since day one.
So why ban, when the game is designed with it in mind? -
He's weak against strong survivors but he can stomp noobs.
That's the whole explanation. -
Understood. I'll unequip BT and We'll make it.
I'll also ignore your clapping on the hook, since I'll assume you're being camped.
Good talk! -

Kinda ironic that survivors also generally SWF because they want easier games.Aven_Fallen said:@GraviteaUK said:
Right now there is Zero ping checks before joining, think a killer wants to play against a team of survivors with 300+ ping? no thanks. The Ping is not the reason why Killers dodge. They want easy games. It was really horrible after Rank Reset, at one point I got dodged 11 times in a row. I might not have been the reason, but still...
It is getting better, probably because Rank Reset was a while ago.
Tan rank killers running into green, purple, and red rank survivors, SWF using voice chat to coordinate beyond what most killers can handle because the game isn't balanced for that level of communication, etc.
SWF only exists, because survivors dodged lobbies to get into the same lobby as their friends.
Now that lobby dodging is being done to them, they suddenly don't like it anymore. -
I predicted dinky the rodeo clown.
I predicted a killer that could vault over pallets.
Now I use my supernatural powers to predict the next killer!
A frankenstein's monster type killer who is slow, but can eat/destroy pallets like no one else.
I'll also predict the next one: a killer with a harpoon, who can pull survivors back.
Mark my words! -
Not mad about it. I just mori them.George_Soros said:@Tsulan said:
I bring moris into matches where survivors equip toolboxes. If they play normal I hook normal. If they sabo I mori in front of the sabotaged hook.I don't get the salt over sabotage. Frankly, the best thing a survivor can do to me is waste their own time by sabotaging. It's ineffective, and they're giving up gen time by doing that. Fine by me.
And on the rare occasion when one of them manages to finish a 99-ed hook right in front of me while I'm carrying someone - well, at least this requires some skilled timing and planning, so it deserves some respect. Definitely no reason to get mad about it.
-
Yes, but it can also screw the outcome of a chase.Vietfox said:

Am I the only one who thinks that this should get a buff? It's from a time where he could stalk several survivors at the same time.
-
Sure, once the killer can also hit a skill check and destroy a repaired gen.Paddy4583 said:
Rightly so it was not a great idea at all, the o my way it would be fair is if the killer has to stand there holding down his keys hitting skill checks for 80 seconds.Tsulan said:Devs got cold feet.
They fear the backlash. -
Just remove the hatch and give us more perks for that specific situation.Peanits said:It didn't work out well. Once the hatch was closed, the survivor basically had no chance to escape. Doing a solo generator takes 80 seconds, a killer could easily patrol the entire map in that time. If the survivor touched a generator, the killer would hear it and know they're nearby, so it just turned into the hide and seek world championships where the killer NASCAR'd around the map while the survivor waited for an 80 second long opening that would never come.
The end game is going to be looked into at some point, more details will be revealed when they're ready. But the closing hatch mechanic was scrapped because it didn't really fix the standoff issue, it just moved it to a generator standoff.
Left Behind could become meta. -
There have been other aura nerfs before the locker change.antgnstea said:

BBQ nerf. What did people expect?
BBQs aura reading exits only to lead killers away from the hook.
Before the introduction of BBQ, complaints about camping were filling the first 2 pages of the steam forum.
After the introduction those complaints disappeared.
With the gradual nerf of BBQ those complaints are coming back. What could possibly be the cause?!
There are also some people that complain about a camping killer, when the gates are open. But the amount of complaints has been significantly lower. -

Correct. But the second one will never happen, because of survivors and their pitchforks.DarkGGhost said:@Tsulan said:

It was never hard to hide from it. But continued nerfs on the aura reading defeat its purpose: leading the killer away from the hook.MegMain98 said:@Tsulan said:
BBQ not showing anyone was probably the reason he camped.Funny how survivors complain at the same time about BBQs aura reading and camping.
BBQ is honestly super overrated. You can hide behind a generator and possibly blend in with it, hide in a locker, or simply be close to the killer. It’s not really that great except for bloodpoints. It just too counterable. It can throw off the killer causing them to stay by the hook while everybody is actually far away

There are many very useful and beneficial threads but they get lost in this mess unfortunately.I do know stuff like @Nickenzie 's threads gets washed up in a sea of complaints, when the stuff he has proposed would be amazing for the general QOL of the game.
SWF Changes:
Basically, we need two party queues for the solos and SWF. SWF cannot join solos queues and vice versa to keep things simple. Solos will have an easier time reaching their pip zone while SWF will have to do a little more to reach theirs because they are expected to do better with voice communication. The killer will be rewarded with more BP whenever they are going against a SWF to compensate for the potentially increased difficulty.
Done and queues will remain the same as normal because we aren't directly splitting the player base in half.
First: 15 seconds
Second: 30 seconds
Third: 1 minute
Fourth: 5 minutes
Fifth: 10 minutes
Etc etc etc... -
Killer who is playing alone is supposed to play perfectly. Survivors don't even have to touch a gen and still get full points if they are alive while a gen is repaired.Condorloco_26 said:As much as it sucks, they can not boost killer event points that much because we would end in a situation similar to the Hallowed blight one, everyone playing killer lobby sim.

Killer can get 36 points for a perfect 4 kill. Where he hooks everyone 3 times, no one suicides and no one disconnects.DarkGGhost said:@Tsulan said:
As always: baby steps when it's something that affects killers. But they never do baby steps for the survivors and besides the killer still will not take the same point as one survivor because you will need 5 events offering to do that
Plus the points for the lanterns. If no one makes an offering its 8 points for 2 destroyed lanterns.
Maybe I'm pessimistic, but I doubt that this will increase the killer population. -
