Back then, the complaints heavily outmatched the praise.
Most of the complaints came from people that played against him during the free weekend.
People with less than 10 hours gameplay.

I miss my main so much!

Did you download the patch?
Maybe check the installation again.

Huntress now has two of the most insane add-ons I have seen, and Twins actually did get buffed.
Insane is true...
I don´t see anyone using them.

Its supposed to come once the new MMR goes live.

They nerfed undying, so the DS nerf was more than justified.
Undying is now much weaker, DS on the other hand does exactly what it should have ever done: Only prevent tunneling / re-hooking again and not help you play recklessly.
Undying is trash now. Whenever a killer uses it, i hear 2 thunderstrucks within the first 60 seconds.

They gave undying a minor buff in one area of it.
And they didn't nerf anything to the extent of Freddy/demo/huntress to the survivors like they did now to killers.
It has always been like that.
Whenever a killer perk gets nerfed. It gets nerfed hard and usually never recovers.
Whenever a survivor perk gets nerfed. It gets the nerfbuff treatment. Taking something away from it and buffing it hard from a different side. Just look at BT. It originally also protected the unhooking survivor. But only once and you could trigger it by accident. They nerfed it by removing the protection for the unhooking survivor and then buffed it by increasing the amount of times it could be used.
Or DS. Killers originally could dribble survivors to the hook, because DS originally triggered on the first down. First they reduced the amount of times a killer could drop a survivor, then they removed the stun reduction of Enduring, before finally "nerfing" DS to the weaponized version we had until a few weeks ago.
The killer meta is constantly shifting. Because killer meta perks usually get hit hard and killers have to adapt. The survivor meta hasn´t changed in years. The 5 most used survivor perks on all platforms are the same as 3 or 4 years ago.

Then why didn't they do this when they did undying?
I'm pretty sure they didn't do this then.
But they did. Hex perks now keep their stacks.
Meanwhile survivor queues are still long and they can´t figure out why.

lol ds wasn't nerfed. it's functionality is the same as the pre change. they just nerfed the ABUSIBILITY of it. lol though they did buff a few killer things but nothing as big as they buffed survivors.... though i disagree with the change of small game to no longer ping killer traps!
In survivor eyes its a nerf. Just like the other 2 "nerfs" DS received in its history, that all made it stronger.
-
Well they nerfed DS. So now to compensate survivors for this inconvenience, they buff a ton of survivor stuff and nerf killers.
Makes sense, doesn't it?
-

Survivors cry whenever there is a good pink/red addon so they don't make any good pink/red add-ons.
I am honestly surprised the doctor's pink add-ons haven't been nerfed into the ground with all the pink/red add-on hate from the survivor biased side.
Don't worry. They'll get to them too.
After all, most survivors find the doc incredibly annoying. So they'll do something about it.
-
I don´t think you realize how always having an obsession would change how killers react to obsessions.
It would be like removing the obsession sign.
-
The matchmaking has no fix. Since there are simply not enough killers around. Thats why after a certain time, the matchmaking takes any killer it can get and tosses them into a match with whoever waits the longest.
At some point it also looks like it ignores the region lock.

Sorry, but this is a silly response. If a stealth killer isn’t camping or proxy camping, this change doesn’t hurt them.
So you´ve never seen a survivor run towards the hook with the killer behind? Unhook the survivor, use DH to avoid getting downed and then both run away?
Killer doesn´t has to proxy camp in order to make BT trigger. Survivors just have to play aggresivly. Like they used to do with DS...

Unless they grab you
You have a higher chance hitting a hatchet over the whole map than grabbing a survivor.
So hook bombing is pretty save now.
-
Painful 3 weeks. As expected.
-
I love when survivors vanish mid chase. That's exciting!
Running 10 times around the same pallet isn't.

I mean, stealth killers need a different buff. Crowd Control already helps stealth killers quite a lot. Having slightly more movement speed so they can be more hit and run-like killers would be nice, or having some basekit that warns you about people healing alone with a medkit or selfcare to pretty much remove the biggest weakness stealth killers have.
Stealth killers definitely need a buff. They have a slow start and their power often can't be used at full scale. Since survivors detect them to soon.

Ideally they shouldn't be "strong." In fact, i don't think addons in general should be strong, they should change the gameplay of the killer in some way, in this case, it does. It makes huntress faster if shes out of hatchets, meaning she can actually chase when out of hatchets if she wants. Or it makes her 1 hit down but now you only get 1 hatchet ever. When they have addons that "increase speed" this and "decrease cooldown" that. All you do is create addons that a required to run such as:
- Old windstorm wraith
- Rat liver demo
- Cooldown on power ghostface
- Stalk speed myers
- Charge speed pig
All of these addons are effectively required to play these killers and should be made basekit and then adjusted to make their gameplay unique in some way.
Addons should change the playstyle of killers. Ideally like they do on Myers or Hag. Where the different addons have completely different playstyles.

It doesn’t nerf any killers though, it needs campers. If you don’t camp it makes no difference
If you think BT only works against campers, than you never used it.
Survivors hookbomb, because they know BT gives them a guaranteed save. Now more then ever.

Stealth killers can go for the survivor who made the rescue like anyone else.
Hell stealth killers can go in for the grab and prevent the rescue altogether.
Grabs don´t work most of the time though.

It is a bit of a gamechanger though?
At the moment if Huntress runs out of hatchets mid chase, she has 2 options and neither is good.
- break chase and reload.
- chase as a 4.4 m1 killer.
This new iri Add On allows Huntress to continue the chase as a 4.6 m1 Killer which matters a whole lot more than you might think. Especially if the Survivors don't realize you have it and get greedy with their looping. Honestly as a Brown/Grey, there'd be almost no reason to not run it.
It should be a grey or brown addon. But not a red one. Who will spend so much bloodpoints for playing like this?

In the part that you deliberately didn't include.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/HCEUQ8C7ECI4/huntressaddon1.png
She can still carry her 5 hatchets (just like her basekit) but becomes faster after she uses them (unlike her basekit). This is a change that has been proposed incalculable times in these forums.
She becomes a normal m1 killer when she is out of hatchets. Why does this need to be a red addon?!
-
@OogieBoogie said:

I'm pretty sure the idea is that IF you run out of hatchets when you nearly have someone downed, simply M1'ing them is more viable. They don't expect you to intentionally go around with no hatchets for the whole match. Still not really Very Rare addon material though. Honestly could probably be base kit.
This looks more like a grey addon. Not a red one. I mean, common red addons usually are game changers. Like Syringes.

If you don't use red addons you're just a 4.4 killer who has 5 ranged hits.
Or if you use 2 red addons you're a m1 killer who has a ranged instadown available. Pretty good trade for me.
You are only the m1 killer AFTER you used that instadown. Until then, you are just a 4.4 killer.

What do you mean "I doubt that"? I already use iri head like it's already changed.
I personally didn't see an increase in moris after the change got announced but maybe I got just super lucky. Welp better save these indoor map offerings then
I doubt you´ll be using iri hatchets once it goes live. Sure, for a couple of matches to test them. Then you get looped around a tight loop while being slow and you switch it for something better.

Awww you can’t camp any more with stealth killers? Booo hoo, get good
Nerfing half the killer roster (killers that arent considered OP to begin with) is a great way to make sure that only 2 meta killers will be used.
I guess, enjoy playing 24/7 against Spirit and Nurse.

You miss the fact that it's still an old oneshot projectile. I personally never considered it op or broken, but I still liked how it just made hatchets more powerful. New change just removes it's snowballing potential (kinda).
However you also forget the second red which perfectly stacks with new hatchet. You can get a down/miss a shot and become M1 killer with everything it means. It's wonderful.
I really missed good old red addons synergy that made sense stacking them.
So you use 2 red addons (18k bloodpoints) to become a m1 killer with a huge terror radius/lullaby that occationally might get a insta down when survivors have no sound.
-

That's fine by me, I hated facing against 3 insta hatchets, but I will still be happily using it :p
I doubt that.
But the next 3 weeks will be wild. Every Huntress player will want to spend those iri hatchets while they can.

1 shot is still 1 shot and she can do it point blank, they just made iri head Huntresses less brain dead. Also how does the new addon reduces her lethality compared to her base kit?
Her new addon requires her to have 0 hatchets. Turning her into a m1 killer with a huge terror radius/lullaby. Where is this beneficial for her?

Like I said. In red ranks, I already used that Iri add on a ton without + hatchets add ons.
You could argue "well don't use deerskin gloves and that Legion perk then" But even in matchets without that Legion perk I did well. And since you need infantry belt for iri head cheese limiting the deer gloves seems not fair. And I'm not even that good at Huntress
Mark my words. 2 weeks after this goes live and you won´t see iri hatchets anymore.

Sure... whatever you say.
Believe me or not. But insidious basement bubba is one boring playstyle. Especially since survivors have to be deaf to not notice the bubba standing in a corner.
Anyway, thats history now. Since Insidious won´t be used anymore (not even for meme builds) and stealth killers received a hard hit.
-
BT is OP now. Or in other words, BT nerfs stealth killers hard. Stealth killers usually have it harder. But now it will be almost pointless to play any stealth killers/builds.
I guess people want to see Oni all day.

By what we've seen from the new/reworked killers, Iri addons are more likely to change their playstyle than improving the original power's lethality.
Well both her red addons reduce her lethality.

What I see, mediocre Huntress players won't get any cheese out of iri anymore. But the better huntresses will still be able to get good value out of it.
And I really like the other red add on, there are many times I run out of hatchets and I really wished I was faster now. But I agree it being red is too much, purple should be fine
Please try it yourself. Take Huntress and only equip the iri addon without anything else. Search a locker after ever hit or miss.
No one will use this addon once the patch goes live.
Oh and i wouldn´t play survivor in the next weeks. Because every single Huntress will use up their iri hatchets/infatry belts while they can.

You can play a reload build and if you are good you need to hook the survivor after one hatchet anyway.
If you are good, then you don´t need iri hatchets. Red addons are supposed to make killers stronger. Not weaker.
-
@mintchapstick said:
Oh, come on. You can't say that iri head in its current state is okay. Pairing it with infantry belt has always been an exploit.

I would hope that people with a better connection to the servers would have an easier time getting into lobbies instead of people who have spotty connection.
Queues have nothing to do with internet.
Long queues exists when there are to many people playing one role and not enough people playing the other role.
-
They went light on it? You have 1 hatchet. Who is going to use a red addon that reduces the amount of hatchets by 4 and ignores other addons that give bonus hatchets?
The other red addon also looks more like something a grey addon would do.
At this point i´m confused if the devs know that red addons are supposed to be good or strong.
-
I´m not particuarly happy. The devs are adressing insidious camping by buffing BT (nerfing that niche perk hard). While ignoring the reason why survivors have long queues.

Ironic how survivor is unplayable, yet they are the only ones with long queues.

Nobody ask them for mercy but to play somewhat normal if they hit rank 1 and can't deal with another red ranks there's something wrong with their rank and skills

We were 3 man swf
2 rank 2's and me rank 4 and all kilers were either rank 1 or 2
Red rank killers can´t exactly show mercy or take it slow. Especially against SWF. Because otherwise they get roflstomped. Thats the reason.
-
What ranks do you and your friends play on?
Because i think the issue is a different one.
-
Survivors complain about long queues.
Also survivors: use every chance to BM a killer who shouldn´t even play against them.
It´s almost like they want even longer queues.

Camping is an exploit.
It wasn't intended by the devs. They just happened to allow since it'll cause all the ruckus by the community.
Just like T-bagging is an exploit and moon-walking is.
Bubba was meant to be a one-shotable killer like Hillbilly, but people started to exploit that and devised a dumb strategy to camp.
Like I said, just because the devs allowed it to be "viable" it doesn't mean it's an intended result. Get that straight.
Yeah, thats why INSIDOUS exists. Makes so much sense /not
