How do you tunnel 3 survivors?
I was asking myself the same question.
Maybe the term tunneling is morphing into something else. Like it happened with face camping.
@OP Could you specify what you mean with tunneling everyone?
-
Mori: makes the survivor shut up. (permanently)
-
I can half agree on this. Sometimes you get lucky with your teammates and sometimes you get unlucky, because they suicide or DC on the first down.
Same goes for the killers. Some try to play nice by hooking everyone once before going for the second hook. But I understand when they ignore those self imposed rules. Because survivors complain after the match and accuse the killer of things he didn't do.
Which is just sad and I don't know what those survivors attempt to achieve. Making the killer feel bad for tunneling, when he didn't tunnel? This only leads to killers that play exactly how the community hates it. Since they get the salt anyway.

Which is weird that people say that because it's so easy to tell they're lying. You did not go up against a 4person swf red rank deathsquad and get a 4k with 32k points while perk and addonless (probably also claims they got 4 iri emblems). I remember learning Spirit for the first time, it was NOT that easy.
Whenever I play a new killer (or someone I haven't touched in ages) the match usually ends in 0 to 1k. Simply because I don't know the reach of the power. There's no muscle memory. I'm not used to the addons/ability, etc.
No shame in admitting that. Since every killer plays different.

She really isn’t brain dead easy like everyone says she is. I used to think that but the comments people make about Spirit are just plain ridiculous.
Of course she isn´t as strong as some people claim. Most of the time, when survivors lose against her, is because someone gives up right at the start, by running towards her.
But the loud majority claims that shes OP, because they got a 4k with 32k points while being perk and addonless playing against 4 man SWF red rank deathsquads, when they played her for the first time. (no, thats not an exageration. People actually claim that)

Undying Ruin is annoyingly weak. Thats all.

A noob survivor can reach red rank in their first week due to their easy ranking, and face overwhelming R1 killer who would destroy them.
Apparently, BE think it's not even a problem.
So why not do the same thing to killer.
At least the killer get good feedback. More people will try.
A survivor can get to those ranks, because he gets carried by the team. When he plays with good teammates, that belong to those ranks, they will still carry him and not all of his matches will be a horrible experience.
The killer has no one who carries him.

System give SWF or strong survivors to a killer anyway, no matter what rank you are in.
It's the problem of rank system.
The killer will uninstall the game due to strong survivor. He always do that. Even before the modification.
The game usually gets gradually harder. Making it easier to pip, the killers could face red rank death squads within their first 2 weeks.
Red ranks can be extremely frustrating.
-
Trust me, if you make killer easier to pip, the new killers will uninstall the game faster than you can say: SWF Deathsquad

What I am more curious about is how the number of daily active players will change. It increased to 100k on steam thanks to the combination of the re chapter and the event. It already went back down to average 60k.
Will it stay that way or go down back to 40-50k? Or even go below thanks to the performance problems on Not topnotch systems similar to last gen consoles.
When all events are over, it will probably pendle in between 40 and 50k users during prime time.
The retention rate from all the new players will be probably low. Because lets face it, between the unstable game, the grind and how our community reacted to new players, the first impression couldn´t have been any worse.
-
The event is nearing its end. So queues go back to normal.
Which means killers will become instant and survivors will have to wait 5 to 10 minutes.
-
That's all they are: annoying.
Not useful or beneficial or powerful. Just annoying.

I don't know on duration but we can assume it's a 2x multiplier. This is because it's a Blood Hunt, while all 1.5x events have been a Blood Rush and the single 3x event we've had was a Blood Feast.
Would have been a nice touch for all the console players that couldn´t play during the event.
-
But how long will the Blood Hunt last?
What is the multiplier? Usually its 2x the normal bloodpoints. We had 3x once.
Wouldn´t it be fitting to give a 5x bonus for the anniversary?!

Cakes for 2 weeks after the midchapter so consoles and low-end PCs can enjoy the event too?! Omg great idea!!
So you assume that the issues will all be fixed with the midchapter patch?

That's my point, veterans seem to think every player should just ignore bad things and tough it out through insults taunts and ridiculously one sided match making ect, and don't see how this high turn over rate could be bad for the game in the long run,
Its one of the reasons why i thought the new skill based matchmaking would go live with the RE chapter. Since a flood of new players could get a horrible first expression by our community. Little did i know, that our community was the least of the problems during the RE chapter launch.

they just seem to not care that new players have to spend tons of matches being bullied and spit on by unfair game elements before they can overcome it, to them a player who wants a reasonable fair match with good sportsmanship is just being a cry baby,
But new player is more likely to simply uninstall/refund the game when they get a horrible experience.
-
Simple rule: If a survivor begs for my attention, i´ll give him my undevided attention.
-
I honestly expected the Trickster to be a test run for a Minigun wielding Nemesis. The high firerate and spread would have made total sense and a Minigun wielding Nemesis would have been 10 times cooler than dollar store Plague.
-
I love how peoples advice is to "just dodge them".
Like really? Telling new players that they shouldn´t play the game?
-
You mean those ranks where people run straight to the killer because they don't like playing against Spirit, Freddy, Nurse, etc?
Really fun match, starting with 5 gens and only 2 teammates. At least now they don't suicide but straight up disconnect.

Even if they aren't it's still higher number so at best it would be equal
Problem with the stats is, they only take the killers rank into account. Not the survivors.
Everyone knows we have rainbow matches and obviously a rank 1 killer will stomp grey or green rank survivors.
-
@justbecause said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2368141#Comment_2368141
Thats seems too easy when you say it but truth is it's not that's why we have those numbers otherwise survivors would escape all the time
Do you mean the dev stats? Cause there's a couple of reasons why they aren't exactly accurate.
-
@justbecause said:
Corrupt, ruin, thana etc etc this will all slow down the survivors and by the time you get first down might be 2 gens or it might be zero because it all depends on survivor u found first chase in my opinion is most important one and that chase decides how game will run
Killer can stack gen slowdown perks, get 2 hooks before the first gen is completed and still lose the match with 5 hooks by the time the gates are powered.
Survivors have enough pallets and second chance perks to keep a chase going for more than 80 seconds. Unless the other survivors are idle, they easily complete the rest of the gens.

Probably because half of games nothing but Wraith, with all seeing eye, so annoying.
And when rarely play killer my best performing one Wraith, otherwise I am purple at most, but with Wraith red ranked.
He is so simple to play and only very good survivor can destroy Wraith, but most player cant do anything against Wraith, and he is 100% to get a free hit, insane lunge, broken addons. And insane speed to.
No skill at all, brainless, cant be countered unless one is a god looper
Spine chill and sprint Burst.
Drop the pallet early.
Congratulations, you just beat a m1 killer without terror radius.
You're welcome.
-
Why does everyone compare Wraith to random killers? I've seen Spirit, Freddy and Nurse. When will the madness stop?! He's not at all like any of those killers.

This would ruin the game for me. I really don’t want to have music blasted in my ear, hear actual literal babies wail in the distance, and continuously be shouted at in a language I can’t even identify. This, for me, would kill whatever is left of the game’s atmosphere.
Turn it off, I hear you say? I’d constantly be thinking “I could have more information if I just turned it on.”
More information than you would lose without any communication? The other 3 players still can interact.

I'd love to know when someone is in a chase, not only when it's the obsession--especially when I'm the obsession. And Kindred base kit but without the Killer's aura reading. It should be limited to the perk itself. And totem counters not tied to a perk. I've never seen anyone using Small Game after its change.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2366367#Comment_2366367
But... Not everyone speaks English. I'm French, for instance. I often have people from Spain, Russia, Sweden, etc. I have no idea if they speak English as well. Imagine one speaking French, the other Spanish...
Also, I'd totally turn it off, as I think most people would yell at others. I already had to turn the end game chat off because I was tired of people insulting each other... Having it in game? No, thanks.
They could add a preferred language filter.
-
They should have paused the event until the issues are fixed.
-
It's even worse when you look at it mathematically. Survivors complete 40 to 60% of their objective while the killer completed a meager 8% of his objective.
This results in the killer wanting to tunnel someone out asap in order to make the match more manageable.
If he doesn't and tries to go for a fair 12 hook, the match ends almost guaranteed in a 0 or 1k. At least against decent survivors.
-
Ingame voice chat is the only fair solution. Everything else also helps SWF.
-
Because survivors don't like to get treated the same way they treat killers.
They complain that they can't enjoy or play the game, because they get tunneled. But simultaneously they rush gens and leave the match asap when given the chance.
I've seen survivors be mad at the killer for dying with 20k points and gloat about a ez match when they escape with 13k points.

If you like that, than you'll love hitting bushes and invisible barriers as her!

Uhm... no?

Her hitboxes are fine. Don´t believe me? Just play as her against survivors that actually know how to dodge her hatchets.

The never-ending dispute again, huh? Fair enough.
It is truly sad to think that it takes the absolute worst changes possible to unite the community.
The dispute will never go away. Some people will just always stick to 1 role and never even try to play or understand the other role.

I was worried about that but I was also trying to do it as something that doesn't cause survivors to farm each other to death which happened when WGLF was 50% per each stack for 200% bonus in total.
Heck the original idea was all 5 for 100% but the genrush idea came to me so I reduced it.
It could be reduced all the way down to 2 generators for 100% to have it be near what the killer has to do to get their 100%(Min of 4 hooks or 25% total sacrifice progress).
They could add getting someone up from the dying state as a stack condition. But if its gens, i guarantee you, that survivors will focus even more on gens.
-
@Warcrafter4 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2364283#Comment_2364283
Then change the bonus BP from unhooks to 1 stack per generator done.
Up to 4 with 25% each like normal to make it so survivors are more realistically going to get the 100% bonus even if they don't escape.
Do you want gen rushes? Cause thats how you get gen rushes.

People complained that Wraith was weak and add-on dependant, so the devs magically listened and buffed him. Now they complain that Wraith is OP, or too easy and needs a nerf?
Come on, people gotta stop somewhere. Why is it the one time the devs listen to us, which is rare by itself, they receive even more complaints?
Because the ones that asked for a Wraith buff, were killer players.
While the ones that ask for a nerf are survivor players.
Doesn´t matter what they do, one side will always be mad.
-
The real issue for new players is the grind. Having to spend 200+ hours to get a decent build doesn´t exaclty sound appealing to new players.
Bot matches are a step into the right direction. So new players can learn the basics without the pressure of facing real players. Devs should improve that.
-
Haven´t really noticed a different wraith behavior.
-
Please don't ask for a Myers addon change. They probably take away his only good ones and add more useless ones.
-
Are we comparing Wraith to random killers now? I swear I've seen threads comparing him to Spirit and Freddy.

But tbf only bad clowns will give the survivors a boost
Good clowns won´t even start the match right now 😉
-
Only like 20 times since the event started.
-
Its to make survivors faster. So they can reach the save pallet or exit gate in time.
