As others have said the reason for the cap is to prevent Hackers from hacking in loads of bloodpoints which would break the entire economy of the game if there even is one anymore lmao.
What economy? There is none. They could simply remove the cap.

After the deception the Binding of Kin and RE chapters were, i honestly don´t care if its original or licensed. Since it obviously makes no difference quality wise.
-
Nurse, Billy, Twins, Trickster, Ghostface and Nemesis. In that order.
Playing against those killers is mostly a easy win.
-
Gen tapping makes no sense. Why does the killer lose 2 seconds of fixed animation while survivors just hit m1 for a split second during a chase without even slowing down.

thats why its a hex, you can always use corrupt and pop or surge etc. believe me when you get really good with killer then over 90% of your games are going to be easy.
Believe me, when you get really good with survivor, 90% of your matches are going to be easy. If you're SWF 99%

Yeah, I kind of regret getting Undying instead of Haunted at the shop. Undying is a bit better to just protect your Ruin from getting cleansed early, I guess... But Haunted seems more generally usable to me.
Pre nerf Undying was great. But now, other totem protection perks are simply stronger. Thrill and HG both have more advantages over Undying.
Which ironically is always the first perk to go.

Unrelated to the build, but I've been playing a lot of solo-que in the past few day's, and you will not believe how many people were running Hunted Grounds. Like seriously, this perk showed up almost every single match I played.
Is there some hidden Hunted Grounds meta I'm unaware of?
HG is better than Undying. With HG you get at least the exposed status. While Undying is just a decoy perk that has no downsides for survivors.
-
After playing 2 matches with this build on Mendslinger i also need that Whiskey.
- Gen rushed with 5 cakes. While i wanted to farm. Survivors escape with 13 to 17k basepoints and ask if i was playing serious. Obviously not.
- Only 2 cakes, so i play normal. First totem gets cleansed before i cross the map (survivor spawned on it). I get a few hooks and 1 down from HG. I down a survivor for the second time (2 other hooks in between) and he disconnects + leaves a message in russian on my profile. Now i remember why i should have used Freddy for that build.

Getting those rascals panicking for nothing, desperately trying to get those bones cleared...
I remember a match where i tried to protect survivors from cleansing totems. They always ran back to the same totem and once they cleansed it, all 4 perished due to HG. Fun times!

That means the other unbalanced.
But yeah probably she needs buff, I heard now killer mains demand the game balanced around at least 75% killrate
Where did you hear that?
Fun fact about killrate: it only counts the killers rank, not the survivors rank. So a rank 1 killer will obviously stomp rank 15 survivors.

I don’t see the need personally. Killers like blight and billy are arguably harder anyway and she has an add on for that
We´ll need more nurses once the skill based mmr goes live. Otherwise SWF teams could have some issues.

Strange
She has the lowest kill rate of all killers.

She could be more user friendly/accessible. So more new players start to play as her.

I've just been trashing the kill dailies during the event window. Though I kept getting Clown mori dailies in particular... sure, ask me to play the one killer who's completely broken right now.
If I'm playing killer, I'm not using a cake, and I'm not burning all my otherwise good offerings before I'm about to prestige someone (to fill them up with cake on the next levelling spree), I'm doing something wrong.
60k points was to good to pass on.

Not a fan of Rancor, since survivors have the tendency of disconnecting during the animation.

Older console players too😯 I only get log in bonuses and stare at the wall as killer because of lag spikes
They honestly should have postponed the event until everyone could play.
Releasing this unstable patch/map/chapter made me wonder, how that passed the quallity standards of Sony. Since they won´t give green light to a patch until they tested it.

A popular streamer made videos about it.
And Stridor nerf, instead of adjusting the Spirit.
Don´t know if it was the same streamer. But one said (and i quote): "Iron Will is like the phasing of Spirit. Killers without line of sight have to guess where the survivor is" "But Iron Will is totally fine as a perk"
That streamer ironically gave a reason why Spirit doesn´t require a nerf.

Moris have been so neutered all you did was lose a hook state😂
I know. It was one of the rare occasions to undust a mori in order to earn 60k points.
-
@Phasmamain said:
She’s always been busted but because she takes skill people think she’s fine. And she’s getting stronger the more and more balanced the game gets because she’s stuck in the past.
Let’s hope they change her soon but that’s wishful thinking
According to stats she is definetly in for a buff 😂
-
Sorry, had to use a mori in my last match, because of a daily to kill someone with my own hands as Oni.

Both sides can earn between 100k and 200k with 5 cakes and BBQ or WGLF.

I think they should give full bp regardless.
Let us take the seemingly never ending grind a bit more chill after many bad matches with real people.

With the number of perks now in the game, it's getting really hard to choose just 4. As a result, many weaker perks are having less and less chance of being selected. I have a solution to fix this issue.
Increase the number of available perk slots to 6. Give each perk a perk value score of 3 (powerful, popular, meta perks), 2 (mid-level perks), or 1 (weak, niche perks). Players now have 12 available perk points to use in their build. They could use 4 meta perks (like they currently can) and be unable to use the other 2 slots or they could use 6 weaker perks or some combination of the two. Hex perks would have a score of 3 regardless of power or popularity so totem numbers don't have to be changed.
While i like the point system, i can´t really get behind hex perks being considered powerful and therefore requiring 3 points.

They have to do this but i dont think so. Poor console players just BHVR'ed.
Yeah i also feel bad for them. I see constant random dcs from players. Which go for no apparent reason, even with 5 cakes.
So they compensate this by giving the equivalent of 2 full cake matches in bloodpoints.
-

So this is not for crowns because they will give one gift too for crown challanges. I thought this is last crown gift, thank you for answer.
Nah, it's just a compensation for delaying the performance patch until the 27th.
I wonder if they'll extend the event, since last gen console players basically didn't had an event.

It's just a SWF team being toxic.
I remember a match, long time ago. All 4 last second switched to Flashlights, when I obviously didn't had lightborn equipped. Downed always near a wall and they didn't get a single blind. They all disconnected after one of them was on death hook.
-
I´ve been trying to explain to you, that the mmr isn´t based about kills or hook stages. Its based around other things, like chases, hits, whatever. But NOT around kills.
A Basement Bubba who gets a 4k with 5 hooks will get a worse rating than a Huntress that maxes out hunting, deviousness, brutality and gets 2 kills. So again, its NOT based around kills or hook stages.
The system aims for a average of 2 kills. Some matches you will get 0 kills and some 4 kills. But as long as you don´t get constantly 4k over a prolonged time, the system won´t match you higher. Same goes when you get 0 or 1 kills over a prolonged time. You would get matched with easier survivors. That means that you will always play with/against people of your skill rating.
If you start to sweat you will rise in the rating and soon face people that have a higher skill. Then you won´t be able to keep the same performance and your rating would lower itself again.
-

And as i said since 2k is 6 hook stages its going to average around 6 hooks. This isnt rocket science
BUT its not based around hook stages.
Its based around other things. They aim for a balance of 2 kills 2 escapes. But that doesn´t mean, that every match would look like this.
You would play against people of your skill level. Not against people that make you sweat, because you can´t handle them, since they are way above your skill level.
-
No need to worry. People get regularly accused of hacking. Most accusations come simply from not knowing what perks or addons do and are obviously dismissed.
-
@Mister_xD said:

which means everyone is eventually going to be at the point where they have to sweat their ass off, just to get the very dissatisfying end result of having two kills.
in other words, based on the basic nature of how killer plays, the slightest mistake in your trial can easily cost you the entire match.
Killer is going to become a much more stressfull experience than it is now, which means people like me who are more of a casual player will get very bored and burned out from this game very quickly and take more frequent and longer breaks - some will probaply quit entirely.
high MMR DbD is going to be an absolutely miserable experience, especially for Killers.
Did you only read the first part? Once you start performing bad, you´ll get matched against easier players.

Thats not balance though. Is it. 2 hook games with a 2k is insidious noed bubba hiding in tge basement and catching 1 before they leave. Thats vastly different to a 10 hook game with freddy where the last 2 get away but were on death hook. These are VASTLY different games, regardless, it doesnt matter since 6 hooks will be about average (because heres a hint, 2 kills is 6 hooks).
As i said, its not limited to hook stages.
-
@Edgars_Raven said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2355521#Comment_2355521
And how many hook states are 2 kills genius
How is it everyone hear automatically assumes i dont know what mmr is? Guys, its not as complicated as you think 🙄
Could be anything between 2 and 6 hooks. But the mmr isn´t limited to hook stages.
I had nice and fair matches during the 24h test. Got matched with competent survivors while playing solo and wasn´t matched against seal team 6 squads while playing killer.
The only people that will have trouble with the new mmr are streamers and SWF death squads.
-
@Edgars_Raven said:
A real functioning mmr will destroy this game. Nobody wants to sweat their ass off for 6 hooks every single game
Thats not how the mmr works.
It will aim to give a killer a average of 2 kills. When he gets more kills, he ends up getting matched against stronger and stronger survivors up to the point where he won´t get 2 kills. Likewise, when he starts getting 0 or 1 kills, he will get matched against easier and easier survivors until he starts getting more kills.

lmfao that'd be the most broken perk in the game in that case 🤣 You're saying no pallets in chases!
According to the devs, Hex perks are high risk, high reward perks.
Where exactly is the reward part? Tons of restrictions and downsides but no reward at all.
-
Hex totems are so incredible easy to find, that hex perks are simply not worth taking. Devs won´t change anything about it, since their attempt to create a fair hex protection perk was slammed down by the community that found it to hard to do totems.
So just stop using them.

Playing since 2016.
Survivors are the power role.
-
You can enjoy short killer queues, once the event is over. Until then, enjoy short survivor queues.
-
A perk that requires the killer get away from the hook, because he won´t get stacks when he´s nearby.
A perk that can be permanently deactivated by holding m1 a couple of seconds.
A perk that has almost guaranteed a terrible spawn point next to a gen or out in the open.
And you want to nerf it hard?

Things to take into account before you extrapolate from that data:
- No method of kills/escapes is mentioned. For example, if you look at my "Wholesome moments" thread, most of them are from killers being nice to survivors - it wouldn't surprise me if this increased the number of escapes. On the other hand, not every suicide is a "legit" kill (in the sense that it could just be a salty survivor trying to avoid the DC penalty because they didn't like the killer, map, being found first, or any other number of things) - this will increase the number of kills.
- This is for all ranks. I don't think this needs to be explained further.
- This is for a year where DbD grew a lot more than in the past years. That means a lot more newbies. However, a newbie killer will crush a newbie survivor team. This will increase the number of kills.
- Farming trials will inflate survival rates, and many killers feel compelled to farm when a few survivors DCs.
Point is, there are a lot of factors that you have no way of taking into account that affect these numbers.
The new killers crushing new survivors sure does increase the kill rates.
That being said, since the escape rates are a flat number, i´d take all the stats with a grain of salt.
