Simply no, not a fan locking people out of games for their internet. We should rather aim to fix that problem by improving how the game handles that, not instantly lock out people.
also lagswitching wouldn't even be fix that way because your ping is not constantly bad then, so this wouldn't even fix everything lol.
Ive gone through hour long suspensions due to poor internet, i dotn want my switch to be tortured more beyond low fps and high ping

At least for me 40-60 is average, below that is at least good and 12-20 is very good.
100 is still playable and everything above I don't know how you do that. But I'm impressed that you're able too xD
Easy, i find the killer, get in chase, and my ping just suddenly teleports me towards the end of the map, downed

Ghostface will never be alone as he will have 2 ai companions by his side, as Ghostface will be a killer of paranoia (Only the real Ghostface can knock down survivors.) The Chaser.
- Tactical Generator Patrols: The AI companions do not have omniscient knowledge of where survivors are, nor do they wander aimlessly into empty dead zones. Instead, they organically spread out at the start of the match and actively move from generator to generator looking for progress or signs of survivors.
- Distinct Visual Information: To help the player make fast, tactical decisions, both AI allies are highlighted to the killer player in distinct, color-coded auras across the map, so you always know exactly which ally is what.
Ally 1: The AI Stalker. Stalker's entire goal is to build up pressure from hiding without getting caught.
- Cover-Based Stalking: When the Stalker arrives at a generator and finds a survivor working on it, he doesn’t just stand out in the open. He tactically ducks behind nearby walls, tires, boxes, or environmental cover to hide his presence while building up the stalk meter.
- The Benefit: His stalking progress takes a little longer than normal to keep it fair for survivors. However, any stalk progress he builds up is permanently saved and shared with the real Ghost Face.
- The Limitation: The AI Stalker cannot down or injure survivors. If he manages to fully stalk someone without being seen, he simply creeps away to find another target or hides if survivors come near who are exposed.
- The Counterplay & Vanish: If a survivor spots the Stalker and successfully reveals him, he instantly vanishes into thin air.
Ally 2: The Chaser. The Chaser acts as a dual-phase threat, combining silent stealth with a high-aggression, resource-burning chase phase.
- Phase 1: The Silent Approach: The Chaser begins his patrol completely silent, actively stalking from the shadows just like his teammates, but he creeps in.
- The Stealth Strike: If he successfully manages to sneak up on a survivor without being spotted, he will land a surprise hit, injuring them. Once the hit connects, he immediately triggers a 13-second chase clock.
- Phase 2: The Exposed Chase: If a survivor manages to look directly at him and successfully reveal him (knocking him out of stealth mode just like the original Ghostface), his hunt activates. He instantly manifests his own 24-metre Terror Radius and Red Stain, aggressively pursuing that survivor.
- The 13-Second Ticking Clock: Upon landing a stealth hit or being revealed, his chase timer activates. If he lands a normal chase hit on his target, they become Injured (no Deep Wound effect), receive their standard full-speed burst to safely escape the loop, and he continues chasing them for an extra 13 seconds before vanishing.
- Anti-Body-Blocking Mechanics: If another healthy survivor tries to run close or step in to body-block the AI from pursuing the original target, the Chaser will instantly slash the body-blocker instead. The second survivor becomes Injured (no Deep Wound), and the Chaser vanishes on the spot, successfully penalizing the team's altruism.
- The Pallet Trap Mechanics:
- First Pallet Stun: If the survivor drops a pallet and successfully stuns the Chaser on the first attempt, the Chaser instantly breaks the pallet and continues chasing them for an extra 8 seconds.
- First Pallet Pre-Drop: If the survivor drops the very first pallet early (pre-drop) without stunning him, the Chaser breaks it and chases the survivor for an extra 8 seconds.
- The Second Pallet Counter: If the survivor survived not getting injured while getting chased and reached a second loop, they have two options to vanish him: if they pre-drop the second pallet, he breaks it and vanishes. Alternatively, if they stun him on the second pallet, he vanishes instantly.
Im gonna be honest here, expect someone to find a problem with this but i actually like the idea. i dont feel Ghostface needs a complete rework, cuz if used correctly he can be an extremely oppresive killer. Making him have the knights power is an interesting mechanic. overall its a cool concept

Let me ask you in reverse. In 0-kill games, have you ever seen a survivor spontaneously sacrifice for the killer to make him feel better? Why would you expect the killer to spare the last survivor? The entitlement here is absurd.
During the Jason PTB I did it twice because it was obvious the killer was struggling against survivors they had no place facing (no mmr on the ptb). For one of those I also spent time in end game chat talking with them about ways they could maybe get more enjoyment out of their time playing (they were clearly having a rough time and mentioned it in chat). Being empathetic and respectful towards your opponents is so easy, its all the players that are not that leaves the rest jaded.
The problem here is that the mechanics of hatch are forcing Killers to play toxic to get 4k, because otherwise they'd simply rely on rng. Which is not fun.
No one is forcing the killer to do anything, they are choosing to take those actions and while there is rng to hatch it is still in the killers favor in the vast majority of cases. Needing the 4k so badly that you force someone else to wait while you get it is real entitlement.
Generally ill happily give the killer a free kill if they struggled all game

its still a very iconic and requested IP, and at least this attention should have shown BHVR (and Stephen King) exactly that.
now, please BHVR for Future teasers and trailers, the balloons were fine, really, but do avoid such focus on a Red Balloon + Clown theme in a teaser lolhttps://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/PHIEDCPQ8C9B/img-9999.jpeg

Currently survivors get 15 seconds of haste and endurance when they're unhooked, this to prevent some kind of tunneling directly off hook, but there are many killers that can bypass this easily, especially range killers.
Survivor gets unhooked, Huntress, Dracula, Pyramid Head, etc can just M2 to insta M1 to down the survivor. Making this anti tunneling changes useless.
So survivors should get the haste and a new effect that can get only by being unhooked that makes them intangible to any kind of weapon and character, so that way they don't get insta downed and can't body block either. This also makes perks like DH and off the record not being to neglected (there's a ton of killers that apply deep wound easily so these perks are not as strong as many people think).
"Killers that can easily give you deep wound"

There is absolutely no reason to allow players to have 200 ping, straight up give an error message to anyone with a connection that bad that tells them to improve their network connection and try again. People who legitimately cannot achieve a ping under that should not be playing multiplayer games where latency matters.
What about the people who have poor internet and just want to play

If it's a friend of mine joining the game, I'll usually take them into a custom, let them get a feel for however their chosen first role plays and play against them with some bots for them to practise on/with. If I'm survivor, I'll let them chase me to places where they could learn some basics. If I'm killer, I take it easy on them while they get a handle on how to interact with the map and its elements, occasionally testing them with a more intentional chase.
If it's an obvious baby in the wild, it's different.
If it's a baby killer, I just play the game normally. I feel there's very little I can do to be 'nice' to a baby killer. If i let them get free hits I could cause an undeserved snowball, hurting my teammates, and if I try to interact with them in a silly way, it can just as easily come across as mockery. So, I just play the game and wish them well in the post-game chat.
If I find a baby survivor, I usually treat them quite similar to others until their first hook, then spread hooks to their more competent teammates. Sometimes I'll injure them then drop chase to give them a scare, or get the second hook mid-late game to put the fear of God into them. After that, if I have the breathing room, I'll act sillier. I'll let them think they juked me with stealth. I'll hang around a room I know they're hiding in and give them the Alien Isolation experience (except I don't play Xeno), and otherwise try to foster a memorable game for them where they don't feel totally dumpstered the whole time. Maybe if they get a stun on me in chase I'll give them a few nods. I'm also more likely to give them hatch if they did their best and didn't give up.This reminds of the time i played against a Jake who i had no idea what he was doing, he was a fellow switch player with 5 hours. I chased him off the start of the match but didnt hit him, i wanted him to get a feel for chase, and another match i helped a new trapper with trap placement, i told him to follow me where one of his traps were directly under a pallet, i showed that i could drop a pallet and slide over it with no problem, essientally wasting a trap, he nodded and fixed his trap placements

Because you dont have to play well for the hatch, but somehow surv getting it is deserved, while getting a single kill in an endgame which is a lose anyway for a killer is not deserved. Called a hypocrisy.
I guess i can slightly understand that a little more now, but generally whats wrong with a survivor getting hatch? As killer youve won, and played well. should that not be enough?

"Don't deserve it" well bro what about hatch, does surv deserve it in a lost game? 🤣
I generally think Cog was saying that you have to work hard and play well for a Endgame kill, its not free. i have no idea where Hatch came into play here
Also Hatch isnt a matter of deserving it, its a matter of "will i get there before they will?"

This is flawed as stated before with my examples

@Feather said:
Thats nice rework concept, but calling feels underwhelming
Ghostface ignoring phone call penalty is useless since he has on-command undetectable. And i think ghostface shouldnt be punished for that either way.
Calling survivour seems pointless too, since survivour receiving only blindness and position whereabouts isnt that bad (when ignored). It would only work in lost survivour matches because then they hide often. Buff of doubling stalk is bad as well, since you lose surprise aspect.
Calling each other is fine, but since effect is so low no one would risk it.
And i dont like survivour perk ideas. Counter spy is just better OoO and We see you. Frequency hop is built to last but weaker and trace results is poised with extra steps.
And since bhvr removed adrenaline wake up (and i hope they will remove vigil hindered) because it was killer specifit i dont think We will see such perks
Vigil affecting Hindered is probaly one of the stupidest things in this game
-
@SpeederShip285 said:
I agree that Vigil should be made a Boon perk. I think that it's a good comprise between those who want it nerfed, and those who want it flat out removed. If not a Boon perk, then atleast make it so it doesn't affect killer powers and addons.
Vigil just needs a nerf and also should not affect hindered at all

I often see some really fleshed out and in depth ideas for reworks that would mostly be balanced or just some nice QoL changes for killers/survivors here on the forums and was wondering if any have actually been implemented or thought about I say this because I just saw someone want a Comeback: Of Flesh and Mud and just thought wow this must've taken so much effort too bad it'll never come to the game
BHVR employees and devs are known for sometimes commenting and sharing their opinions on them, but i dont think most are implemented in the game. The devs do enjoy our creativity at least

@GewoonJust said:
I usually don't make posts like this. But this specific game change I'm really passionate about. I'm a killer main - and I truly DESPISE running against full heal build… they seem so strong. But with the arrival of diminishing returns you don't necessarily put an end to these 'combo upon combo' builds. And really all you're putting an end to is the sometimes strange builds that no-one has every thought of - and instead I'm seeing more and more and more build all consisting around simply having the strongest perk of whatever category in the game (e.g.: 1 recovery, 1 healing, 1 haste, 1ds). The game has lost so much of its potential and creativity due to this. Especially the neish builds that shouldn't be working but sometimes just do.
I despise those gnarly full stack healing builds - but there has to be a better solution for it then to nerf ALL (creative) builds.I just wanted some perks to be nerfed or buffed lol

The Leon should have waited until someone was hooked or everyone was safe if you weren't already aware of what perks were in play. If you can't identify all the killers perks during the match then it's best to assume end game and prepare accordingly.
Idk how many hours your friend has but they might want to get used to other people getting them killed, friends or otherwise.
He has 4K Hours, way more then i do at around 500. Leon opened the gate as i was getting picked up too. Though its apparently my fault because i was hooked
Not to mention he was tbagging this Artist the entire game and being toxic, and he got stuck at a gate when BW activated

In every measurable metric the game is killer sided. Please enlighten us all with your acumen.
This game is nobody sided, each sides have their problems and anyone who says a specific side rules the game has clearly struggled against said side. From Kiler sides, gens go to fast, perks like SB and DS carry survivors too hard. Yet from survivor sides Killers are too strong, and most strategies are toxic. No one wins lol

i think you're reading something into the suggestion that isn't there.
i'm not saying survivors shouldn't be played. i'm saying developers getting more firsthand killer experience would be beneficial.
if someone made a thread asking for more survivor experience, i wouldn't oppose that either.
the reason this thread focuses on killers is because that's the area i think is currently lacking, not because i think survivors should be excluded.I just think the devs should have more expirence on both sides. I will admit every side has its problems

Sure, like I play both R6S and Dota, which are both really bad with how much information you need to know.
But Dota basically has 0 grind and R6S has quite low grind, you unlock characters quite quickly even without spending money and unlocking gives you everything you need to play.
DBD is exact opposite, where in order to "progress" in the game, you have to put huge amount of money and time. DBD has kinda unique grind, which is mandatory and can't be skipped.
Oh you want a single prestige? play 10 matches
