Hmm.. I think two things can be true at once here. On one hand , having a killer like the Judgment is refreshing compared to some of the more recent styles we’ve gotten. Certainly new and brings a different way to engage entirely for both as and against, which is something I think the game needed. A very cool killer.
On the other hand, I can agree that simply by how she works it does further limit perk choices, and does so in a very stale meta that has gotten quite a few major perks nerfed recently which tightens the perk choices even more.
It’s true that Judgment is not the first to do this, as there are plenty of instances where you may bring a perk that is not useful because of the killer or even the map. It’s part of the RNG. But I do also agree that I don’t think it’d be a particularly healthy step forward in the game if this happened more frequently. There’s certainly a difference between a perk that won’t get you a lot of value because of RNG and a perk that can’t even be activated because of RNG, and because survivors can’t see which killer they are facing it does significantly impact them in a different way.
I can understand how something like SB was overtuned and deemed unhealthy for the game because it tended to shut down interactions with many m1 killers. But in the same way, the Judgment does the same thing with many survivor perks, but I don’t the answer is nerfing them, I think their strength should be strong because of the skill it takes to use it.
Perhaps this is more of a Nurse situation where it probably wouldn’t be healthy to use either Nurse or Judgment as a benchmark of balance and strive to create more killers like them because they change the game and shutdown interactions in such a distinctive way, but the skill expression required to do well with them kind of gives them a pass.
A bit rambly here but I just don’t think there’s an easy answer. I think the Judgment is really cool, I love the change of pace they bring to the game, and I don’t think they need to be nerfed. Frankly a small buff may be in order for help with close range. But I can’t just ignore that they do shut down many perks, and I’ve never really been a fan of that because survivor perks are the survivors “power” and in the same way it isn’t enjoyable for a m1 killer power to struggle because of certain perks, it isn’t enjoyable for a quarter or so of your “power” to be dead on arrival through no fault of your own.
TLDR: Buff her more. Really?

Can't wait for more hand holding guess?
Also I said I wouldn't do it, but you just know this is the reaction that will and should honestly come of this because its the only way killers gonna get heard.Handholding, you mean like balancing the game in a way that one side statistically wins more?

I don't get the humor at all, if it even was that. Why dont you explain to us what the joke part was since you are so adamantly defending it?

Because all takes are biased toward survivors when game balance is already wildly surv sided? People just use this thread to "i want bhvr to make unbalanced changes toward my side because I am bad at this game but still feel bad when I lose"
In every measurable metric the game is killer sided. Please enlighten us all with your acumen.

Nah get rid of them both, they are meaningless, god awful posts just get upvoted because of bias and nothing else and good posts get mass downvoted because of the same. It doesnt work as a system when there's a one sided bias on the forum.
If people want to weigh in they can comment.

honestly I would recommend to anyone to uninstall/quit dbd and I would actively advise people not to pick up this game if they wanted to play killer. The devs flat out refuse to listen to any killer feedback and insist on only catering to survivors. The game is in a horrible spot for killer and isn't fun anymore and it's all because of the devs poor balancing choices, like if anyone wanted to start a petition to get the balance team replaced I would sign it so fast. At this point I still like the concept of the game but I absolutely despise the devs that make it.
The game is killer sided in every measurable metric. Exactly how much do you want your hand held?

Again survivors should be forced to stay in the game until at least 3 survivors are actually dead.
If they leave before that no BP and abandonment penalty.
If Killers have to ride out the game till the very end so should they.
Instead of downvoting explain why you disagree.
All four are down, just wait until 3 are dead then you can abandon as theres no hope for a come back.
For Killer though exit gates open all survivors are standing there waiting….but Killer has to come run them out, because survivors by and large like to act like immature children and wiggle there butts at the killer. If the killer leaves he gets an abandonment PENALTY and no bp.
Yet Survivors can go WAAA we got outplayed abandon collect bp and suffer no penalty. Why?Judging from the veracity of your posts, you're not interested in any meaningful discussion.

needs to start with more tokens then just one and they need to up the number of tokens, like you already have to be in chase to get one token why is it capped at 2 tokens its such a low cap.using a perk in a way that creates actual value is being a rat? What rule book is this from?

However, you can still pick 4 different offerings to boost your chances closer to a 1/4 chance of getting to a desired realm. So going to a certain map is abuse now? Well Ive had enough of the forums of another week I see.

That’s like 5 killer players out of the thousands (millions?) that play the game. A vast majority of killer players don’t win every single match. I don’t think killer is as easy as you think it is. Do you play killer yourself?
If this was true- we would be seeing the same streaks on survivor side and were not. Let the mental gymnastics ensue why this is totally fine and fair……….

Let me elaborate with my key frustration; The Downvote System.
Downvoting magically appeared in or around March or April 2025, and this has been thee worst feature of all time. Forums are places to discuss, not quickly disagree with a statement or Post without giving details or because you express bias towards another user. (thats running rampant on here AND in game)
So I'd like to propose some fixes that could be made.
Option A: Remove the Downvote system again, requiring users to actually converse and express their thoughts when viewing a post, or just not have a public impact or opinion by saying nothing.
Option B: Make Downvotes and Upvotes no longer anonymous. I would recommend this, mainly for frequent Forum users to see which users express Major Bias towards certain Topics and Other Users. Downvoting just seems like a tool to bully people when you don't agree with what they have to say, and when these stack up, it paints a false bad reputation on that User. This change would aim to expose people who do this, and can be disregarded for misusing Forums, without being banned and still giving them a chance to have fair conversations.
No clue why they were ever brought back. Quickly disagreeing with a massive post for example does not tell the OP what you dislike about their statement. People who do this and never comment should be seen.
Why can't posters accept that others may disagree with their opinion? A downvote is just a much of voice as an upvote as or a long winded rebuttal. I don't have time or the energy to sit here and argue schematics with a bunch of people who demonstrate consistently they think they know everything.
Consistently repeating false claims over and over again doesn't magically make them facts.

It’s not “always survivor incentive”. I always see killer incentive and very short killer queues during the evenings, and long killer queue times during the daytime, just like it has always been ever since I started playing the game back in 2018.
BHVR listens to players who play both sides and have a good understanding of game balance. They thankfully don’t listen to those people who only play one side and are constantly trying to stir up “us vs them” divisiveness.
This is factually incorrect.

Tenacity is sometimes used offensively, to immediately crawl under an undropped pallet.
As in, if the survivor didn’t have Tenacity, then the killer could have immediately picked them up before the survivor got under the undropped pallet.
But Tenacity’s increased crawling speed allowed the survivor to get under an undropped pallet before the killer could pick them up.
Ive heard it all now. Crawling is used offensively now.

If you don't like that, ask for killer bots. You can set up rules for them. If that's the way you want to play, why are you playing an asymetrical horrror survival game to beginn with??
The other 80% of the players in your game PAID for it as well. Want to try again?

We may play different games, I know survivors are god awful on NA or Asia servers. Awful to the point you better never play alone at all.
But it still does nothing with soloq. MMR and awful survivors – reason of why soloq feels bad, not soloq itself. You can give AK-47 to these survivors and they will shot their legs with it.Im having a hard time following your logic here. So its bad mmr and bad survivors causing issues with solo queue?

This, this and this. I feel like it doesn't matter how many buffs soloq will get, people will always say "oh it's so bad, literally unplayable".
Removing hook grabs alone was GIGANTIC buff to soloq, change that drew the line between before and after. I don't think people even roughly understand how much easier soloq became with it. HUD, 70 seconds on hook, basekit BT and tone of other big and small buffs, literally no one said here how much better it is now with all these things. Only whining, complaining and doomposting like always.
There is a proverb in my country – you get used to good things quickly. And it's literally about this situation.
What on topic: it's obviously best state of soloq ever. Still a lot of things I would like to see improved, but gameplay-wise it's pretty close to being perfect. The scariest killer in soloq is MMR, always was. Can't imagine how many matches I could win, if one single player with 200 hours in my lobby didn't ruin whole match from beginning. And it's the only truly frustrating thing about soloq for me.This is either bad bait or were playing different games .

I think it's been a serious issue for years now. Removing survivors ability to kill themselves on hook at the start of the game and requiring playing matches out as the way to lower the timeout were a good starts. However, BHVR needs to improve it's reporting system so that people who just start griefing, because they can't rage quit need to get punishments as well.
TLDR bruh wants people to be punished because they don't play how he thinks they should.
Never change forums.

People who complain about tunneling obviously don’t play killer at high mmr and it definitely shows. Especially when survivors have a plethora of perks that help prevent it. Like decisive strike, dead hard, off the record, even base kit borrowed time. Killers should be allowed to go after the weakest link in order to win.
Ntm I’m so tired of hearing “you’re not supposed to win every match.” That’s the biggest load of crap I ever heard. Im gonna do everything in my power to win each and every game. Even if I have to slug, tunnel, or even proxy camp to get a survivor to the 2nd hook stage. I’ll do it for the win.
No one should have to follow a fictional rule book.
Sorry you can't win 100% of your games.

- Camping- Anti-face camp solution was provided. Effectiveness: 10/10.
Proxy camping is a strategy that shouldn't be punished. Therefore completely combating face camping is amazing.
2. Tunneling- Unhook Endurance and Speed Effectiveness: 8/10.
The endurance and speed are a great help that can get you to a pallet or loop tile. The endurance at the end of the game can be pretty broken especially when taking hits for the person that saved you on hook. Does counter tunneling very well.
3. Slugging- No Solution as of this time. Effectiveness: 10/10.
Slugging should never be tinkered with as it is a balanced strategy within the game.
4. DCing- Lenient DC Penalties and "Abandon Match" mechanic. Effectiveness: 9/10
You're never going to make everyone happy with DC solutions. "DC penalty to harsh" "ppl DC too much." imo bhvrs approach on DCing is the most optimal.
5. Gen Speeds- Made them 10 seconds longer along with gen slowdown perks. Effectiveness: 7/10.
Making gens take 10 seconds longer was the right move (what like 2 years ago?). However having to have gen slowdown builds on certain killers in order to obtain a 4k is less than ideal. Tbh gen rush isn't complained as much in this generation of DBD as it used to be.
Honorable Mention: Nurse- Nerfed Addons and added blink timer. Effectiveness: 5/10
Still cracked and the best killer in the game. She's just not played much anymore because she's essentially old news and people don't want to take the time to get good with her. Still rediculously strong, just takes some skill to get used to her.
Am I pretty on the money here what are our thoughts. I know I'm missing some like dead hard and decisive but is that top 5 worthy.
I disagree on all fronts. Any actual point you were trying to make was lost in glaring bias.

Feeding the monster has paid them well. They have been trying to address survivor problems since they introduced the bots, the first and biggest mistake. They reworked Skull Merchant twice by demand, they fixed the 3gen and addressed the slugging problem by reworking Knockout and adding the surrender option (which now is used to ragequit and evade Mori, but they stay for some chat anyway). New changes have been announced, but the problem grows and grows... The game has hit rock bottom by wanting to fix things from a biased perspective.
Agreed. Its a puzzling business decision to coddle and pander to 20% of your player base and expect the rest to be cool with it.

"as a killer you don't have to worry which hooks you sacrifice survivors on"...
this is only true if you play killer at low skill level against low skill level survivors. Hook placement is literally very important and people can often force you to hook them on a very non-beneficial hook.
Ohh, should i also mention how hooking is much more beneficial for survivors nowadays?
I will bite. Care to explain what a "very non-beneficial hook" is?

You're bringing up all these extreme, emotional scenarios to justify survivors having broken stuff. The fact you're bringing up blood points screams casual. If not that, then the suggestion that killer controls match flow. Sure, the killer trying to tunnel someone out puts pressure on the team, assuming they want to get all 4 out, but what's the response to that? Gen rushing. They were gonna gen rush the killer regardless! What is a killer to do against a team that can do all gens in, let's be generous and say, 7 minutes? The killer's chases are like 30 seconds minimum, not even counting the downtime of carrying to hook, finding the next survivor, and/or kicking the gens. He's gonna have like 5 hooks by the time all the gens are done, and that's with him playing the best he possibly can.
Are you postulating that killers don't have broken stuff?
