language like “I blocked him in. He couldn’t move not even a little bit” may be construed by the developers as holding a game hostage. Also if it wasn’t I don’t understand the point of how it would be punishing if you didn’t expect it to be taken in that manner.

Also @Tizzle a opinion you or anyone else don’t agree with isn’t inherently stupid just because you disagree.

It is stupid because it's completely wrong.

At any time the Killer can hit the Survivor to get out of that situation.

This in no way, shape, or form is "holding a game hostage".

dont get me wrong I agree that for me your experience would be tilting however I think you are putting yourself in a position for actual bannable bullying. I do not have a solution to the perceived issue, a less entertaining experience because of a killers right to choose a less then interesting way to play  ( a wraith is one of the least powerful and more boring killers imo to play as) But I don’t believe it is your right to punish him by holding him hostage in a match.

Hmm, I didn't think of that. I suppose it is something I shouldn't have done.... Nonetheless, even a Wraith shouldn't need to camp from the beginning of the game. I understand if it was late stage of the game, sure. But beginning? I will however apologize to the other player (don't think he is on the forum, and if he is, I don't know his username), cause after what you've said, it is something I shouldn't have done. Although, I will say I wasn't taking the game hostage. Even if I didn't block him in, it was still a hatch stand off, so the game would have gone on just as long anyway.

I hate the hatch standoff, but I wasn't giving him another kill regardless. Thanks for pointing this out to me. I don't stuff like this any other time, so I'm not one for being toxic or just a d%ck

To be technical this would be counted as holding the game hostage by Bvhr sooo yeeeaaaaahhhhh

    No.

Survivors cannot body block a Killer to hold a game hostage.

Especially at the hatch, that is just stupid.

This is not holding the game hostage.

At any point the Wraith could have hit the Survivor to end the game either by downing or relinquishing the hatch (which he did).

We all got screwed at some point. It's not like they're known to be a reliable (or even a great ?) company tbh.

The main thing I can say is this thing, as a longtime dbd player :

Play the game casually, and don't expect things. If you do start the game with expectations, you're playing the wrong game, because it's never ever gonna meet decent standarts and you'd better consider actual polished game, such as :

    Cuphead

    Darkest Dungeon

    Monster Hunter World

    To name a few.

darkest dungeon is very good. beat it ages ago and still gonna go back to it again someday for the new content.Jack11803 said:

  • Patch 1.3.1D
    Patch 1.5.2B
    Patch 1.6.0B
    Patch 1.6.3

  • Check the old patch notes for double bloodpoint weekends.

  • Shards on console have been capped at 1k since early June with the same perks in the shrine.

PS4 players will not get the double bloodpoint event without an update.

I'd say the complaints are justified.

  • Shrine runs off the same server for all three platforms.

Enjoy your uncapped shards and double bloodpoints.

Gonna take one last shot at tomorrow, if we still don't get it don't expect to see me during the DBP. There would be no point. I've been capped for months now(before the clown was revealed) in anticipation of the new killer.

If PS4 gets screwed with dbp.. Im done

There wont be double bloodpoints on PS4 without a patch.

    No support for it.

  • They should just compensate PS4 and Xbox players shards for the amount of time they have been capped.

How they didnt see this as a problem is beyond me.

  • This is Christmas 2016 all over again but worse.

Only thing you can do is watch the lobby timer, if its going too fast leave ASAP.

  • Match xp is still capped somewhere around 10 minutes.

Time a matches with your phone or stopwatch, you'll be able to figure out the max xp.

Except it won't be because midnight in Australia has come and gone 6 hours ago.

I have no idea why Queen said this, it is not how the Xbox and Playstation store work.

If its not on the Australia or Japan store, its not going to be on US or Europe either.

  • @ThePloopz said:

Auric Cells are available on the Xbox Australia store, the Curtain Call DLC is not.

Apparently you have to fork over $10 in Auric Cells, no clue.

  • Auric Cells are available to purchase now on the Xbox Australia store.

    No Clown DLC.

  • @TheDarkLycan said:

I don't think its possible to earn that many shards.

Thats what they said weeks ago.. Because you earn more you also pay more. Simple.

That makes sense if the update was out for consoles, but the game is still capped at 1k shards on console so we can’t farm iridescent to trade for even bp while we wait for the update.

Not to mention the same shrine has been up for three weeks.

  • Lol, shards still capped at 1k NP.

  • Posted this on the steam suggestion forum over a year ago.

    Probably not going to happen.

  • @CrtKazz said:
If it’s not this week they should at least update it so we can increase our shards past 1000. It would give us console players an incentive to play and then we are compensated with the ability to get some cosmetics; probably cheaper ones though from what it looks like with shard prices.

    Not going to happen LOL.

This is a bit ridiculous the same exact thing is happening EXACTLY ONE YEAR AFTER THE GAME WAS RELEASED ON CONSOLE.

Apparently they've learned absolutely nothing in the certification process in one year.

  • @intothefray said:
Spring Burst should not charge while being chased and running maybe. What I don't want it to see all my damn teammates walking around. Maybe that won't fix the walking ######### that'll happen though. Also what about that exhaustion recovery perk, won't this make that funky? Self Care reset sucks for one reason, nobody will let me heal them. They'll be like, I already have it to 25%, I'm fine, I'll just finish healing myself. Same thing maybe? Only reset when being chased.

Yeah I'm not sure about this with Self Care.

Why would anyone reset their progress bar to zero just so someone else could heal them, counterproductive.

The healing bar should just degrade, not completely reset.

It's meant to stop healing at pallets, not completely reset all progress if another Survivor comes to heal you.

  • @ThePloopz said:

If this is true that is just ridiculous.

Send in for certification 10 days after you announce the release on PC?

    What?????

  • Its almost certain now to have failed certification if it was sent when they said "in the upcoming weeks" June 8th on twitter.

Nothing has changed in their communication with players on console.

I haven't used Sprint Burst in a year and a half.

    I rarely use DS.

I will admit I do use self care on all Survivors but usually to provoke the Killer into chasing me again after hes hooked someone else or to save.

    But sure, I'll adapt.

  • Killers should prepare themselves to complain about an even faster gen rush, thats about the only these changes are doing.

  • If you died with the previous version of Borrowed Time you were doing it wrong, lol.

The game forces you to camp and tunnel tbf. It's not the killers fault, it's the devs fault.

Wrong. There are the occasional situations in which camping/tunneling may play out as the best move, but for the most part those are poorly executed tactics by either salty or inexperienced killers (usually a nice little mixture of both) and in the end will cost them a huge chunk of BP compared to if they actually played the game with the slightest fraction of skill.

Ehh, I'm not sure it's accurate to say "for the most part."

Tunneling takes a survivor off the field asap, which slows down generator progress immensely. If you have four survivors on the field with two generators left, it won't matter how many you chase or how well you play, those remaining generators are going to be gone in a minute or so. I use two generators as an example because that's how many are commonly left after the first chase for mid and low tier killers if survivors aren't goofing off. Expecting killers to multi hook in this kind of environment the majority of the time is kind of iffy at best.

Similar logic to tunneling, camping is actually pretty effective. Why? Because survivors might not pip if they all do generators, meaning they have a valid reason to go for unhooks. As soon as each survivor finishes their generator (which commonly happens after you finish your first chase), it's pretty logical to expect them to go for an unhook. Camping wastes their time, slows the game down, and kills the person on the hook simultaneously. It's actually incredibly efficient.

Now I'm not saying I like tunneling and camping, but honestly it's a pretty optimal strategy right now since the most common situations favour them. If the developers want to reduce it, they have to make the game longer somehow and innately reward consistent new chases and hooks.

Edit: As for the concerns about lower BP, it all honestly depends on survivor actions. If they come to the hook, they're making it easier for the killer to locate them, down them, and get more BP as a result. If the survivors rush the final generators instead (which they could, since it takes 80 seconds to solo a gen and 120 seconds for that person to die on a hook) then chances are you couldn't stop it anyway. You might have delayed the game a bit by chasing one person off a gen, but it wouldn't be by that much unless you have an insta down. Man, the more I think about it, the more I realize how much control survivors have these days. How sad

Wouldn't it be EVEN MORE EFFICIENT to camp if the games were longer according to your post?????

Survivors absolutely need some form of buff to their bloodpoint gains. Killers get lots of BP, especially with BBQ and Chili which half of them would run even without the BP bonus, so running it is a no brainer. Meanwhile survivors get very little BP unless it's a perfect game, WGLF gives no advantage and is a wasted slot used to reduce grind, and on top of that getting 4 WGLF tokens practically requires you spend all game unhooking, getting your team killed and generally not contributing. Killers will get 4 BBQ tokens most matches so long as they are trying to do so.

It isn't true that WGLF encourages altruism. What is encourages is for everyone to divebomb the hook and make suicidal saves that will likely get their teammate killed or at the very least nobody is working on generators because they know the only way to make decent BP gains (or pip) is to do unhooks.

There is a difference in the survivor and killer BP gain. Because survivors can get a new match, when they die quickly, while the killer is stuck with the survivors until they all die or leave.
It´s way easier to get WGLF tokens than BBQ tokens. And not a single killer would use BBQ if they remove the bonus BPs.
Catching 4 loopers is way harder than standing in front of a hook, when someone is about to get hooked.

Allow me to rephrase. It is very difficult to get 4 WGLF tokens without completely abandoning generators and just hookfarming all your teammates. Meanwhile all the killer has to do is hook everyone once. He doesn't even have to come close to winning.

And matches aren't very long, so the killer will get plenty of BP after a short time while the survivor gets almost nothing whether the match is short or long.

I´m not sure if you are trolling. But i´ll explain it anyway.
To get 4 tokens on BBQ, the killer needs to find, chase, down and hook every survivor once.
This is way harder than getting WGLF tokens.
Since you only need to leave your gen, stand in front of the hook when the killer is about to hook someone. The killer hits you (1 token), he hooks, and you unhook (2 tokens). Or you unhook (1 token) and get hit near the injured survivor (2 tokens). Which means you get 2 tokens for one of the killers hooks.
How is this in any way harder to achieve than BBQ tokens?!

You left out the part where the Killer downs and hooks the Survivor with 2 tokens, thus achieving 2 BBQ stacks himself.

I don't think you thought that through -P

  • Probably won't happen.

Large patches get released in the early morning hours followed by the DLC in the store whenever it updates depending on your country.

It’s not easier, even with 2 ways, and you also missed the point.

It is, really. Also remember, that for whole 4 tokens, killer needs to hook ALL survivors, but survivor can farm 4 tokens even from one, other survivor. Unhooking and bodyblocking is easier, than catching the 4 loopers.

If its harder to catch the 4 loopers, HOW ARE THE SURVIVORS GETTING WGLF TOKENS????

    Derp.

  • More than likely they've failed certification, hence the two to three week time estimate.

  • The Survivor that uses WGLF basically handicaps themselves into a 3 perk build.

This is not true for a Killer running BBQ.

Devs seem to think its easier to get stacks on WGLF than BBQ and I have no idea why.

They seem to be forgetting that once the Survivor is dead the perk no longer gains bloodpoints - the Killer is in the game for the full match and only has to hook, NOT EVEN KILL.
