can i get a Scary Movie tie-in instead where they add Cindy and Brenda to the game?
I want the WASSSUP mask if they ever decide to do that.

My only motivation for playing killer is that I've spent money on killers and not playing as them is a waste. No other reason whatsoever.
I kind of feel the same way, I make sure to play all of the licensed killers to justify the money spent. I rarely play original killers except for daily missions and challenges. It was only 5 dollars a pop. But still.
-
I am playing against casuals every game at low mmr. Lots of fun.
-
I didn't run into even one today. I played him once myself, but I haven't seen the movie.
-
Eh, I prefer Scarecrow and Wax. But anything is better than his default.
-
No, I am not wasting a single bloodpoint until I am SURE it is worth it. I do not want it to be worth it though, I just want all perks on all killers, fam.
-
For me it would be losing the bloodpoints and waiting 5 minutes if it was one of those hackers who can somehow manipulate whether the game ends or not.

@R2k said:
There's no need into killer switch. Make it so survivors are locked and can't change anything once timer hits 20sec while killer can.
I would be happy with locking them in the last 10 seconds to be honest.
-
Corrupt is obviously better. Lethal is great for getting in chase a$ap, but blocking generators delays their win condition.
-
No, Trapper is double s tier. He is just so far ahead of Nurse that nobody will play Nurse ever again once this super saiyan buff comes through.
-
@Huge_Bush said:
I doubt it. He probably sells decent enough and its cheaper to have the license they have now than go after the film characters rights. Besides, his look is so iconic that they don't need to do anything, anyone interested in him and see him in this game will not even realize they're different characters.
He probably sells better than most based on how many I run into.
-
Well, I mean... I would like that feature as a killer. So much so that I would start trying to force DC's.

You cannot be toxic in game, only in chat and on forums. Ive let over 7k survivors live on purpose this year alone. Don't pretend like you understand my motivations at all. Nice coinage of a term DeMMR. As if its against the rules or some higher moral code. This is a party game and its supposed to be fun. If you don't have fun at your current mmr why not change that? I play with sound off and no addons and I like fun builds.
Yeah, sometimes I just want to listen to some Ice Nine Kills while I am playing the respective killer. I feel that. I have some killers where I try my best, I have others I meme on. Who cares? Well... That guy I guess. But still!
-
I am apparently not allowed to complain about anything because I am a Leatherface main.
-
I am kind of sad that we need to wait another day for the tome, and then another day for the event. I wish it was all on the same day.

2nd and 3rd points are arguable. speak for yourself, îd still play survivor as long as the core gameplay stays same
Killers objectively have more variety in playstyles than survivors. I get that a lot of perk combos and playstyles exist for survivor too, but that all applies to killer while they STILL have unique abilities.

Guess I'm the opposite because I run in more now to save someone since at worse I lose mmr which means lower mmr killers and at best I save them and we escape. I don't get why people want to force their mmr up and face sweatier matches, I guess some people prefer those kind of matches.
Being higher mmr on survivor is a benefit as your teammates will be better, obviously excluding this example as the cat is out of the bag.
But yeah, I am terrible at survivor, so I prefer going against easier killers. I will hook trade without question. If I was as good at survivor as I was at killer, I would definitely put escaping above all else, however.
-
Perhaps. I still feel he will be add on dependent regardless which is not great for me as someone who plays without add ons. But eh, with mmr, maybe it will be more fun than I am thinking.
-
The true test will be this event. If killers actually care, they wouldn't be playing with mmr and boon totems with longer queues. But if they do, it kind of proves they are just blowing smoke.
-
I actually wasted my time googling fear mongerer not realizing that was the new name for Mindbreaker. Anyways, maybe knock out instead?
-
The maps. It feeds into so many other issues. I genuinely believe if they looked into balancing some of them a bit more, looking at offerings, and not removing maps, the game would be a lot better.

You know that it is a Beginners Guide? I have not watched it, but making fun of a Beginners Guide is pretty weak.
What do you mean? I am not making fun of it... I thought it was really well done.

Fun wise, it's by far the most fun for both sides.
Strength wise, only on M1 killers who have no traversability. No point in using it on killers that attack with their M2 and if a killer has traversability then Ruin tends to be better.
You can hide it as an m2 killer, though, and execute people early. That is pretty good, if you ask me.
-
I learned so much from this video that will help improve my killer instinct. Watch out survivors, I am coming for you!

What is capital letters used for?
Capital letters are useful signals for a reader. They have three main purposes: to let the reader know a sentence is beginning, to show important words in a title, and to signal proper names and official titles. 1. Capitals signal the start of a new sentence.
you could not tell when he was starting a sentence? that is unfortunate. everything he said was true, when I beat survivors on hook it is not personal, just a bit of goofiness.
-
I do not feel the boon totems are worthless at all. Albeit, they are the types of perks that you hope other people bring as opposed to taking one of your own slots, I suppose.

He isn’t wrong about trickster though. Trickster’s lore is pretty bland and really boring for how unique he is visually
I thought it was really interesting how he used the screams of his victims to make music, imagine a Steve trap remix. I need it.
-
Leatherface is definitely up there. Especially for mmr. I think people's mindsets are outdated. You need killers who excel at playing mean if you want better results against competent survivors.
-
There was a video showing some of the challenges and they looked really easy. There wasn't anything crazy from what I recall. For Trickster, anyways. I didn't pay attention the the Yun Jin ones because I do not have her.

I do play killer actually and have been red rank on both for a good few years now (not that ranks matter but the same people that try to "main this" "main that" typically go for rank when they've been proven wrong there).
I'm saying it's EXPECTED that you lose a few gens before you get your first hooks. Do you really have to have everyone death hook before the firat gen pops? If it upsets you so much just use corrupt to mitigate it.
I assume you're new enough (no offence)? DbD is far easier now to play killer than it has ever been so I assume if you weren't around for actual infinites, 2 window shack, etc. where good killers were still able to 4k and didn't blame "gen rush"...
Good killers struggle to 4k now because of mmr. Back when there were infinites, and 2 window shack (lol, Behavior is crazy, man) they played against bad survivors. So I really do not understand your point.
-
Sadly that is an intended feature. The game wasn't easy enough for survivor, so now they made camping pallets a viable option too.
-
My biggest complaint about the music is that there is not more of it, I wish every killer had unique themes and chase music. I love the music in this game so much.

I’ve been told on many occasions by killer mains that bbq is ONLY used for bp…so this really shouldn’t be a problem.
I only use it for the BP because most people just hide from it anyways. But BBQ might have ironically countered Boons had they not added a counter to the counter.

I only have bad stories - I haven't played killer since 2019, in 2020, 2021 I played like... two killer matches per three months, so how 'high' my MMR can really be, right? When it started, I thought to give it a shot, since it should be finding me people with my 'skill' level...
So first match - me on Ash IV, vs 4 absolutely sweaty SWFs, each with few thousand hours, iri ranks (before someone says 'but ranks don't matter' - if I have Ash IV, it means I haven't played or played poorly, right? If someone has Iridescent I it means he played pretty well and pretty long. It's not even an opinion, it's a fact) etc. So I got destroyed before I realized ######### happened.
Second match? Basically the same. Third? Wanna guess? I mean... I guess I must be super skilled and my MMR was rising even though I didn't touch killer for two years!
I tried it a few more times and decided to quit. Great job BHVR, as always.
Your mmr will likely adjust fast if you haven't played that many matches. If you 4k'd most of those, the system probably just seeded you too high.

Fun doesn't mean unbalanced and non-competitive either. A lot of people have fun competing.
This is not the game for them, in that case.

I wouldn't mind a Sideshow Bob skin for Clown. I mean... Krusty might fit better, but he wasn't a Treehouse of Horror staple.

Just like Sabo squads were popular, once people noticed how saboteur worked back in the day or killer noticed the efficiency of mass slugging (partially thanks to those Sabo squads) or the always hated camping or tunneling.
Given enough time and sample size, people will always find ways to maximize efficiency in every game. Even while completely breaking the base gameplay atmosphere (i don't have the concrete game in mind but something is scratching at the back of my head regarding this topic but i can't remember).
Another example would be in rainbow six siege the development of breaking most walls for line of sights instead of reinforcing bigger portions for protection.
Melee is probably the best example. A children's party game designed to be an equalizer turned into some hyper competitive fighting game after people exploited unintended mechanics. And the the same 5 people won every tournament for like a decade because they were just that much better than everyone when they turned off items and stage hazards, lol.
-
Was it worth it? Do you genuinely feel like the effort was worth the reward?

There's just a lot of stuff that's janky or just downright doesn't work on console. So we have to adapt our playstyle.
Any precision killer, just no.
Going against a pinhead? Forget looping, it doesn't exist lol.
But the biggest issue, the one that's absolutely unforgivable!...... You can't run backwards as a survivor. It's simply not possible. Talk about favoritism, am I right?
I wish I could moonwalk as a survivor. So much swag wasted...
You know those beta survivors scared to get caught so they only BM when they are safe? I would be the alpha Chad that BM's in the killer's face.

The moderators are mostly here to moderate. They have streams to address what they want to address.

I feel as though half the maps look way better and the other half look worse, somehow. Either way, once November passes, I will miss Hawkins so much. RIP one of the few killer sided maps.

I don't mean to necro a thread but, do you know of any tips? I know there's Shadowborn which like you said, is an unfortunate use of a perk slot, and then there's stuff like stretched resolution (but I consider that cheating) so, the options aren't great.
If stretched resolution helps you avoid discomfort, just do it. Cheating or not, your comfort should come first.

Bloodpoints are bloodpoints and this grind is insane. I will take what I can get.

Reskin Hawkins as a Trickster map. Easiest decision of my life.

All I can say is that they balance for low mmr and at low mmr killer has never been more fun. Lol.

They like the W meta and want survivors to react the moment they hear the terror radius so they can rotate to m1 another gen.
The truth they don't want you to hear. I mean... They do want you to hear, but the terror radius... Not the truth. That is classified. Only the most observant of DBD player have learned this closely guarded secret.
