  • As a console player, feel free to let me escape. Rip to them but I'm different.

  • It is my least favorite map to play, but obviously it is amazing, visually.

  • I feel like it is a blatant net nerf, but at the same time, he will probably feel more fun to play? No clue, I don't own him. They definitely nerfed more than they buffed, however.

  • If it gives blood points, I would love it to play killers I am bad at such as my acutie angle, Triangel of Death, with his cute little bubble butt. These survivors be exposing me, but a bot? Good luck, cuh.

  • I just run a super basic build. Barbecue and Chili for le points, ruin because le powerful (I like that it lets me focus on chase rather than kicking gens), NOED for easy kills end game, and blood warden for when they cleanse NOED. And if they didn't cleanse NOED, basically a guaranteed 3k.

I like it a lot. I might replace NOED (because it keeps getting cleansed anyways) with surveillance to better tell where to teleport during the match. I am very new, so my game sense is shoddy.

There is NO REASON ON THIS PLANET for a killer to single out one player the whole match. I don't do it as killer either. It's not fair for the other teammates to get to earn their points and not the one that's getting hardcore tunneled and dead in the first part of the match.

It is the easiest win condition in the game, actually. Turn the 4v1 into a 3v1 and you are more or less guaranteed the win. And even if you lose, you at least got one kill. Sadly this tactic seems to be so common BECAUSE of that obvious reason.

  • Honestly, even as a killer that thinks survivors are whining about silly stuff, like "tunneling" (advancing a hook stage instead of chasing the unhooker) or proximity camping (3 gen, especially with a hook target while they aren't doing gens) when it is realistically the only option you should take unless you decide to be nice and soft throw... But this? I can see where they are coming from. That is just not necessary. What's wrong with hooking the person so they can struggle and end the game? You still have time to go for the person around hatch without slugging the semi last survivor.

You guys gotta stop using "FUN" as a code word for "Easier".

You want easier games play lower ranks....

I just started less than a week ago and I already have red rank survivors with ttv in their names. The easy games lasted like... One day. Don't get me wrong, not every game is hard, but being lower ranked doesn't give me lower ranked opponents. Everyone in the lobby is lower than 12 which is where I am at. The average would probably be around 8.

And sometimes survivors force the killers to play that scummy.

Just got out of a particular frustrating demo game. They split up on gens from the start, powered through them without healing. Whenever I approached they sprint bursted / lithed away, w shifting as much as possible. And to top it all, even denied me my measly third hook by using flashlight. I only got two hooks this game, for trying to play nicely without camping / tunneling, since three cakes where in play. I would have def. got more with doing all the scummy tactics. Sure I got about 20k points, but that does not change the pure frustration and powerlessness I felt about this game.

So when a killer is fed up with such BS, I cannot really blame them for switching to scummy tactics. Don't know about your Clown, for obvious reasons, they could just be giant jerk.

Yeah, I am a pretty chill dude used to insane toxicity from Overwatch, so it doesn't really get under my skin THAT much. I get a little salty when they deny my consolation kill, but whatever, that is their job. That being said, the way some of them act? Surprised they didn't draw the correlation that perhaps Killers tunnel and camp for a reason. I do not blame anyone who does it, quite frankly. I am also surprised more people don't do it. Like, why wouldn't you proximity camp your 3 gen when you know 2 of them are going to drop everything to unhook the stage 2 that you can remove from the game? Seems like you would have to have some sort of condition not to figure out what they are doing and how to stop it, but whatever... People can play as they will.

I have more fun running around. I kind of enjoy breaking pallets. So sometimes I purposely let those pallet campers that flash you right after a drop do it a couple times just to kick the wood. Lol.

Rank 8 I have been playing for 6 hours now not a single friendly killer. Their either running full try hard perks and addons or camping especially if you get the sparkles then their camping you specially. Their actually ruining the event for a lot of people. I don't mind if you want to play serisouly but we all know their is a diffrence from playing in a way thats competitive and garbage behavior. They should remove the killers ability to see the sparkles just like survivors cant see when the killers have it. I love this game and was excited for this event yesterday it was fun some hard games and some playful games. Today they just turned on the turbo trash button for some reason. I have never has such little fun with dbd.

Do we know the difference? You are getting mad because people are running perks, bruh. That hardly has to do with their in-game behavior, if you ask me. Like, what, they need to run bad perks to not be considered as having garbage behavior?

  • As a new player who only leveled Hag to 35 and Freddy to 50 after buying Barbecue and Chili... I can tell you, it really isn't that great even with basically no perks unlocked but the two you are looking for.

I am sure it gets much worse, but they are always diluted.

  • Disturbing? But they look so happy!

  • I feel like the only people who downplay SWF are SWF. So, you know, blood is wet once you take your first slice at one of their homies. Of course they think they are not at an advantage.

  • Underrated: Freddy, maybe? I feel he is one of the stronger killers in the game. He isn't busted, but he is still top tier, in my ever so humble opinion. I feel he often gets overlooked just because other killers are more egregiously overturned.

Overrated: Trapper. How anyone puts him above anything but dead last is a mystery to me.

Rated Fine: I agree with a lot of people here, Trickster takes the cake.

  • Hey, man, I said it before and I will say it again, you ever stop to consider why someone playing a 4v1 game is toxic? Maybe, just maybe it is because they are projecting their insecurities on you and could never dominate a player in a PVP game that involved more than running away. Lol. Seriously, all they can do is click a flashlight or squat. They are still your bottom.

Do people hate Freddy? I usually get very little bagging when I am on him. But then again, maybe that is because I can actually play him. My Pyramid Head is low tier. It feels like they can just stop moving, watch for the timing, and then take a step to the left to dodge. Landing it is the most exciting thing I have personally experienced in any of the other competitive games I have played. Nothing is as satisfying. Especially because that is when hoards of survivors try and BM my baby triangle...

The entity shrinks and grows killers. Gives them powers, takes away powers. Makes pallets otherworldy strong.

The entity increases the photosensitivity of killers so much that even while you are looking away, you get blinded by flashlights that open a rift to the stars.

  • I haven't seen RPD yet either. All of those offerings are on my Hag, but I am trying to go mostly Freddy to farm the event more efficiently. Plus I don't trust that it is actually fixed.

  • I have my Freddy to farm this event, I love his passive bloodpoint gain. And the dream state either gets me more downs, or they have to go wake up, which gets me even more passive points. Even if I run into a 4 man swf that gen rush me, I am making a respectable amount of points.

  • @MadLordJack said:

I know, right? Kills get me no points, so now that I've been power-deranked by event bully squads I've just been trying to go for 8-hook trials but for ######### sakes it's so bloody annoying trying to rember who'se been hooked and who I'm going to slug instead

I wouldn't even mind getting deranked if it did anything, but I have been facing higher mmr players since rank 16 to be honest. Being 12 doesn't change anything. Still get red rank twitch TV people in my lobbies on week into the game. Lol.

  • Wow, everyone else left her too? That is kind of messed up. Usually they fight tooth and nail in my games, as a killer. Guess she must have been pissing them off too.

  • I honestly don't get it, disconnects are free wins when I am on killer. I feel bad for the survivors more than I feel personally afflicted.

  • Well, it is like a reverse tunneling perk and as we all know, us killers are only capable of tunneling.

In all seriousness, I think it is just because there are so many other perks that are impactful without having any real conditions. In almost every competitive game I have ever been a part of, people just run meta. A lot of people do not bother to think for themselves to be perfectly honest. So tons of perks are overlooked.

  • The same thing is happening to me, but the opposite. They rush gens and leave, so all the cake offerings are vaguely wasted. Idk, I had a weird game with 3 disconnects before the match started and the last survivor let me chase them for like a minute and I still got 25k at the end. This event is just raining blood... points. So I don't mind too much really, just participating is giving me so many levels.

  • I am playing Freddy because he is the only killer I have maxed Barbecue and Chili on (and honestly I feel like the nature of his kit gets me more bloodpoints passively than any other killer). But he just hit level 50. So my bloodpoints are going to other killers and as far as I am aware, the cakes are character specific. That is the problem. I will run out soon.

Play with crossplay off. Fair games.

Won't the queue times skyrocket, though?

  • Not going to lie, I am slightly disappointed. And I come from Overwatch, those are basically just recycled and everyone hates them. But we get 5 free legendary skins, 3 weekly epic skins, various cosmetic items from the event loot pool and access to a, usually, unique game mode. 6 times a year.

I thought we had it bad, but wow... I had no idea it could get worse. Lol.

  • @Zokenay said:

Agree on Claire, not on Chris, hes fine

I have been trying to help survivors farm and hit pallets to get their attention and they all just gen rush me leaving me with 5k BP. I am trying to be a nice killer and so far all i got for my troubles was tbagging and low BP.

Survivors gonna survive. All you can do to stop it is murder them relentlessly!

  • @Zozzy said:

They are ashamed that such an f tier killer could actually kill them. To be fair it is usually because the other survivors ignored gens and played horrifically.

Yeah, I noticed killers tend to take heat for a survivor's bad teammates. It is such an us versus them, that you somehow become the scapegoat. Kind of weird as I am used to the opposite in Overwatch where if the enemy outplays us, it is the fault of whoever is playing the least popular character and the enemies are actually garbage so how could we possibly lose.

It's not tunneling my friend. If a Survivor with borrowed effect tries to bodyblock, and the Killer is smart to wait for it or can follow up after hitting, then they should do it. It's a smart move.

You're really a Survivor main aren't you? You say it like the Killer should always plays nice, but then the other way around isn't the same, which is Survivor rushing gens and not caring about the Killer fun.

It's funny I can the same thing as a Killer main: "There's no reason to genrush any Killer. As a Survivor, you have 3rd person view, you can crouch, you can vault windows and drop pallets, perks like dead hard, adrenaline, decisive. All of those trumps anything a Killer could do. Sorry, I know that's a popular opinion on here, but it's the facts"

First time I have ever read the words "there's no reason to genrush any killer."

  • I don't even know what farming is on the killer end.

  • You find tuxedo in the trash on the reg? I am so jelly.

  • She looks hard to me. I lose track of survivors that I can see, making them invisible is not going to do me ANY favors. Ha ha ha...

  • Yeah, kind of weird that they don't reward being chased more. But at the same time, not rewarding generators is also bad. People should be doing the main objective.

  • This is like any forum I have been on... People mostly come to these to complain.

  • Does your progression carry over if you go from ps4 to ps5? I am console only, myself. No reason to go PC, especially in a game with cross-play. But I wouldn't upgrade to ps5 if I had to start over.

  • @KSzerker said:

Have you tried just spending your bloodpoints?

Eh, I was hitting cap myself and I started 3 days ago. I wanted to save them to level up the killer I was taking seriously AFTER I got barbecue and chili. Kind of a niche situation, admittedly, but I imagine other people have reasons for hoarding them now and again.

I said don't be like that guy.

Don't assume that because a survivor says gg, it's meant to be a taunting action. Many of us just type gg regardless and move on, since it's just good sportsmanship.

You were telling the dude to stop "crying a river" when he is seemingly suicidal. You are not a good sportsman in the slightest.

I agree he was being over dramatic, and this is just a game. But a reasonable person would have taken their own advice and just left. No need to fan the flames of whatever problem he has, in my opinion.

I mean, you do you, but there is a VERY obvious reason he thought your gg was sarcastic and with context, I am not sure why you even bothered either.

I'll be doing same. Noticed already there are killers leaving licensed characters or original wearing crown alone while tunneling out original characters without crown just to prevent players from getting crowns. 😔

That is just simply bm... 33.

But yeah, that requirement is lame. I do not really need to go out of my way to not kill them, though, because, you know... They will just escape regardless of what I have to say about it. Lol.

  • Yeah, and then they get mad at me for hooking them again. It is like, bruh, please play Overwatch, we need more people there who aren't even vaguely concerned with their teammates. I wish more people like that were my experience in that game. But I get it both ways, just my luck. I am ALWAYS ruining the game for someone no matter where I go. I guess it is nothing new.

  • @Tizzle said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2320226#Comment_2320226

Yep for some reason it's always someone else's fault.

It's your decision to go back to the hook after someone is unhooked.

Either you are already close enough to see both Survivors running away or hiding, or you are 50/50'ing whether you find the unhooked or the unhooker with it being more likely you find the unhooked because of sound and blood.

The Killer makes this decision, putting the blame on the unhooker for not being able to find them is completely assinine.

I mean, what other decision is there, to be quite honest? Progress a hook stage, or search for a fresh target who might be stupid enough to get their teammate out of the game on my behalf? And they call me the killer! I really could not have done it without the help of the survivor thirsty for unhooks. Rofl.

  • Bill... I never ran into a toxic Bill yet. David is my least favorite. Never ran into a normal David. Or if I did, I didn't notice because of cosmetics or something.

How can anyone be excited for a copy paste event in this BP economy and performance state? Being excited for an event in these conditions is why BHVR has been winning for 5 years...

I never played the OG event and as a new player, I need those blood points just to get a stable perk line up. Or just level the killers I use. I would prefer they fix the performance, but I will settle with an event while I wait.

  • As a newer player, most of the videos I watched just list the same perks over and over again. Ruin, Undying, Pop Goes the Weasel, Corrupt Intervention, Tinkerer, and Barbecue and Chili.

Very rarely is anything else recommended. I was actually shocked Lethal Pursuer wasn't more commonly advised for new players because, well, the first 30 seconds of the game are so important and often I can't find anyone before that. Lul.

  • @meatisadelicacy said:

I had been having more survivors DC, but this morning it's been way more killers. Either way, I don't think the event is going to make more people DC than before. If anything, more survivors are going to leave their teammates to die to get the crown, and more killers will not actually be playing either so they can get their cosmetics. RIP survivors with add ons.

Yeah, it is kind of weird to turn the game into hide and seek. I might go for a few, but I don't have too many killers unlocked. Huntress is the only OG one I am in love with. After her, I will probably be done with the search.
