No, just that 4 out of 5 of them in my experience are jerks.
The number of Twitch streamers who have left... colorful comments on my brother's profile is also something else, too. He keeps them as trophies.
Just take solace in the fact that those "Twitch Streamers" will never break 5 concurrent viewers, and their dreams have no chance of coming true.

Amazing confidence in your programmers, that for the first time, the got it right and couldn't possibly have made a mistake in their programming.
Instantly accusing your customers of being dishonest or going absolute "that's not possible" mode is the last thing you should be doing with all things considered. Didn't even make a recommendation to use the bug reporting feature so the devs could look into it. Just "nope, that didnt happen, our game would never do that"
Right? Imagine, BHVR, the technical prodigy's of our generation, making a mistake. OOF.

Yes, they don't want to earn money anymore, their families can do without food and homes.
I mean, you can't deny that it feels that way lately.
- DC penalties for people NOT DCing documented MINUTES after the penalty is put in place, and ONLY because the bugs causing it were (foolishly) not fixed before implementation of such a penalty.
- A full on chapter update knowingly released with a game breaking bug that forced people to disconnect, or waste their time waiting however long it takes. Which STILL hasn't been completely fixed.
- Long queues on both killer and survivor (can go 20 minutes at times, with more than enough people playing), that are apparently a "top tier issue" but really they are too busy nerfing killers and breaking other killers to fix the long queues.
- The only thing that seems to get done without issue is the damn cosmetics.
That's just a small portion of everything they are doing wrong, or not doing at all, that has a direct side-effect of driving people away from your game. They better get their heads out of their backsides soon and realize that they didn't make a great game - the community made their game great.

Actually, I can refute what not_Queen is saying. My fiance barely ever plays DBD, but today she wants to do a 2 person SWF with me (not super sweaty, we mostly just sandbag eachother :P). Had a couple matches, and the 3rd match was cancelled, and she ended up with a 25 minute ban. This is a person who hasn't played since...at the very least...last February? And even then, she never DC's.
In contrast, I DC'd from a game last night (As killer, cause someone else DC'd and I don't do 3v1's). I got nothing.
So I'd say BHVR better get on this ASAP.

1 . When you load into the game find your generator , but don’t touch it .
2 . When the killer patrol passes by your urban immersion , start it .
- you will have a huge amount of time to complete if you do not mess up .
- At least half way with your Jenny , and if your other survivors are found . All the way .
3 . When done , hide behind a nearby tree or wall , Don’t run . Test your nerves of wood .
4 . Find another Jenny and tap that sh*t .
This is the most effective way I found to AT LEAST do one generator at the beginning .
If all 4 survivors did this , then there would be 1 gen to do , with no hooks yet within the first 160 seconds . 🤯
Disclaimer : some killers are way better at finding you no matter what , but most killers will not go near a gen that hasn’t been touched . Or a virgin jenny . 🤓

Reading through the comments this is what I have interpretted.
I understand some people use killer and survivor but looking at the avatars it seems that survivors believe the game is balanced better than it has been and whilst killers are reluctant to introduce comms for everyone they agree it is the only way to balance the game.
Whilst the game might be balanced better than it has been there isn't really an arguement as to why solo survivors and killers should suffer from the advantage of SWF on comms.
I can see four ways BHVR are likely to address this:
1) BHVR can determine who the SWF and on comms or not reduce their perks/buff killer or give more information to perks for non-SWF, IMO this is unfair.
2) BHVR can introduce each session with comms as an option so far survivors to choose who they can listen or speak to. IMO this is the only true way to balance the problem since SWF was introduced.
3) BHVR identify who is SWF and who isn't to the killer either before the game starts or the killer will set preferences e.g. no swf, 2 swf max, 2x2 swf etc. IMO this will likely lead to changes with ranking and will also further kill the game further with the survivors taking even longer than it does now to find someone who will play killer against them.
4) BHVR do nothing, they understand playing survivor not on comms was how it was intended and adds the uncertainty/terror/fun playing the game but also understand that survivors on comms is fun for them chatting with friends but is also not in the spirit of the game.
I feel I'm trying to be neutral to both killers and survivors, for each killer we lose the longer 4 survivors wait. Also BHVR please sort out hatch/key and morii's they are just unfair to both sides whilst you develop further licenses/chapters, fix bugs, fix inifinite loops, op surv&killers perks/addons from stats and make it so escape as a survivor feels like an achivevement ;)
1) There's no way to determine with 100% certainty if anyone is on comms. It's impossible without audio evidence.
2) You are right in that the only way to balance SWF is to bring solos up to their level and then buff killers accordingly - but adding VOIP would be..well, difficult; and scary, given the state of this community.
3) With the current state of the community and lobby dodging already being a huge issue, I don't see this being a good solution.
4) This seems the most likely, at least in the short term.
One thing remains constant - you can't, under any circumstance, punish people for playing with their friends.
-
I will admit - MoM with WGLF and BT is actually a pretty disgusting combo. Even moreso if you have a styptic. Triple tanking.

You know what's funny? When someone is trying to unhook-fake and they self care instead. Always gives me a chuckle as I watch them swing back and forth on a meathook a few seconds later.

i think the main game is 15$ on steam sale?
Whether it's a sale or full price, it's still a full release game. I mean, they're free to list it as early access. That's the state it's in.
-
Enough people play DBD in a day that 2 days is more than enough for a test. They can't test a punishment system on live servers for too long, just because of the prospect of false positives (like people being penalized for not DCing, and getting the unknown error we all get after games sometimes).
-
You got BHVR'd.
Don't know why anyone is surprised. We pay for a full release game and they use us as test monkeys.

I know that the ongoing bugs may have initially deterred you from implementing the penalties on the players that DC, but this has been a long time coming - and no amount of bugs can stop the fact that certain players abused DC far too much for it to be funny anymore.
No more excuses for X thing for a DC now, which is finally a relief to my eyeballs. Just wanted to take the time to thank the devs for giving me one less thing to get angry about when I'm playing Killer/Survivor from now on. At least dying on first hook still gives Killer the progress that they need toward pipping as part of sacrificing, as well as preventing Survivors from going into what was a losing from very early on towards the start of a trial if a player simply didn't like playing against the Killer, e.g. Legion Scapegoat Epidemic.
I'm just hoping that the tests will prove as positive as I hope for them to be. 😁
It's literally a 2 day trial, lol

I'm guessing that's why the devs will likely plan a list of how long each offence will put the player on timeout for, like giving DC-ing to give somebody hatch or DC-ing due to slugging, etc (checking the reasons why that way).
There's no way to separate who DC's for whatever reason. They will all be treated the same. Unless they implement an internal demo recording engine to literally record all movements in game. A DC for being slugged will be treated the same as a DC to give hatch.

I'm not saying there should be an option to turn it off, just an option to turn it down. There can be baselines for it, like the way is is now can be the maximum with there being the ability to turn it down to a lower level, but not off. I play killer mostly and I play with headphones, listening is a killers best tool, and since survivors can be really quiet i have to turn up my audio. Lo and behold I find a survivor and get my ears blown out by how loud the chase music is. Being able to listen for survivors and not go deaf the second you find them would be an amazing quality of life fix. There is nothing unbalanced about this that I can see.
Even turning it down would wield a significant advantage. Turn your system sound down if it bothers you.

Because the game is designed for everyone to have the same experience. It's balance, really.

"Endless power" is a bit much. I do know how to use whispers. A 32 meter radius is a pretty big area though. 3,215 square meters to be precise. In all reality it's larger than that since it's actually 3D. The volume of a 32 meter radius sphere is 137,189 cubic meters. There aren't too many maps where the 3rd dimension is too relevant though. Lab, Haddonfield and Game really.
It is a big area, but when comparing it to deer stalker, deer stalker only does one thing. Tells you when a survivor is in the dying state. If they are in the dying state and you can't find them in a 32 meter range, welp, I'd say your tracking skills need work, no offense.
-
@Dreamnomad said:
I'm in the deerstalker camp. That's a perk that says "I'm going for 4 kills". Whispers can be pretty misleading imho.
That just shows you don't actually know how to harness the endless power that is whispers.

Whispers all the way.

No.

EDIT: I should mention, I have faced 4 of them today. At red ranks. The most kills she got was 2.

I appreciate the thought but his words don’t bother me in the slightest, and I still completely disagree.
Just because he doesn’t view something as toxic doesn’t mean it isn’t.
I could debate this all day but I will never change my opinion and he won’t change his, and that’s fine.
Actually, in this case, that's exactly what it means. The use of an item, addon, perk, pallet etc whatever, in this game, is not toxic unless it's certifiably classified as an exploit by the devs. It's not a matter of opinion - and you thinking these things, any of them, are toxic, is incorrect. Contrary to what you "believe", you are absolutely wrong. Those things are not toxic. It's not "just because I say it", it's just a fact. Toxic is an attitude. Toxic is the nasty things said in post game chat. The false reports. The nasty steam user names. Toxic is labeling everything you hate toxic.
You can continue to live in your little imaginary world where you write your own pretend dictionary, but here on earth, it's not toxic. You could debate it all day - you could hire a high priced lawyer to do it for you - you'd still be wrong. Not liking something doesn't make it toxic. THINKING that way IS toxic, and only adds to the toxicity. THAT is something there's evidence of.
Give up.
-
I remember back in the day..the atmosphere was so much better. Maps were spookier, the graphics were even better.
-
I think they should absolutely enable crossplay between PC and console.
Survivor wise, the controller doesn't put you at any disadvantage against a mouse/keyboard killer. I mean, console players would be up for a shock because mouse/keyboard killers have much more control over controller killers, but again, they aren't at a disadvantage; AND no, not being able to moonwalk is not a disadvantage. Hell, even 360's are easier on a controller.

It can be a difficult topic to tackle constructively. No one likes being told they're wrong.
I don't mind so much. If I'm wrong, I like to learn why and I come out of it wiser for it. :D
Either way, yeah, my point is, barring blatant overlooked exploits by BHVR, things in the game are not toxic. It's okay not to like them, but that doesn't make them toxic in any sense. Glad we're on the same page :)

You're not wrong, but he was probably due a bit more respect than you gave him there.
I meant it, though. That shoddy definition that "everything I hate is toxic" is one of the worst things happening in this community. It's one of the things that breeds the most toxicity.
-
@Omans said:
Fixing awful maps like Haddonfield, Yamaoka, etc, and fixing the huge amount of bugs that keep popping up should be first on the list of things to do for the devs.
I think they should keep the current variation with minor changes to near-infinite window loops, and add more variations. Much like with I would like to see a bunch of Windows blocked off, fences made less safe, and obviously more variations of the map.
I would also like a new environment being added to it it like the Haddonfield hospital, or police station, or something that doesn't already exist there.

Well one toxic can mean what a want to mean. And two maybe those weren't the best examples, but a lot of changes that are added are based a lot on the fun factor. And something being toxic usually means it's not fun for the other side.
No. Toxic isn't up for interpretation. You not liking something does not translate to it being toxic. It's already got a meaning, and you don't get to magically make up your own at your convenience to justify not liking something. You can not like something and not have it be toxic. There's plenty of things I don't like in this game. Not all of them toxic. It doesn't mean I get to call those things toxic just because I don't like them.
-
Looking at the video title. This is an ochido fan. Therefore, they don't exist on a logical plain of existence and should be ignored as if they don't exist on the planet we call home.

I like how you compare what he is doing to be a flat earthers, but than say that his opinion is incorrect.
Also there are things in a game that are toxic, if there weren't than why was old legion changed? Why was the brand-new part changed? Why were the insta-heals re-worked?
Insta heals weren't toxic. Were they overpowered? Yes. That's why they were reworked. Overpowered =! toxic. You not liking something =! toxic. However, the assertion that using something the game provides as an actual feature is toxic is incorrect. There's no version of this where you win the debate. Toxic doesn't mean what you think it means.
As for the Legion - it was an overlooked exploit (big surprise! BHVR overlooked something! POGCHAMP!). It was not a feature designed to be in the game. By your logic, the Oni flick was toxic. So just top.
