This soul animations was one of the things what made Freddy unique. Returning Old Freddy animations doesnt make a gameplay change for current Freddy but at least he would more unique than his current state.
I think being able to manually pull survivors into the dream world now would be very beneficial. Instead of waiting for a survivor to fall asleep or having to hit them, you can get more use out of your puddles or pallets by just putting them to sleep yourself.

Because the devs have taken away everything skilful for survivors in order to protect killer ego.
Everything left is so hard and so easy to counter its rarely bothered with. Maps are too small, tiles can no longer be chained after the first chase. It's more effective to pick a direction and run. Sabo is too hard as there are too many hooks. Flashlights got nerfed and stealth is still not an option.
The best perk combo for killer are anti gen perks and this patch changes nothing. Yet they took the worst part of dbd (the gens) and made it longer. This patch does not fix camping. 5 second bt is nothing, you will still need bt and ds got nerfed because of killer's crying. Camping got a massive buff and this does not fix bubba at all.
Yeah because DH was soooooo skillful. "OH NO, WHAT WILL I DO!?" "I know! *presses one button*" "I'm saved!!!"

I understand and I agree, I think that hexs shouble just go away now. I mean what's the point? They only last so long in a game anyway, like 30s because survivors like doing boons anyway. They find them really quick. I think they need to just get rid of them.
Exactly.
I don't get why the devs decided that a perk that can be removed at the start of a game, needs EXTRA downsides. Hell Ruin isn't even going to be good anymore and it deactivates after one kill, it shouldn't even be a hex now.
-
It's just there to show you it was part of the loadout, and if you get another one it is automatically equipped for you.

Cosmetics would be elitist, which is toxic, but T bagging and macro flash lights is just bad mouthing which is fine.
So the legacy cosmetics aren't "elitist"? Hell, nobody on console ever even got the chance to earn them, and even then so few people even have them. Those are by far the most "elitist" outfits you could ever get in this game because it's basically saying "HA, I got to play years before it came to your system, ######### you"

Shutting off the game.

I could care less honestly. As long as I'm having fun I don't care.

It the game is making you feel anxious, then that's a sign for you take a break from it. No one's mental health is worth being affected due to a pixel.
I'd rather play dark souls without upgrading any of my stats or gear because I'd at least know the bs is my own fault and not the games doing or high skilled players that I get paired with, and even that brings it back to being the games fault.
-
Bbq for killer to get the extra bloodpoints.
For survivor it'd be Calm Spirit just to spite Doctor, Pinhead, and Huntresses with Iron Maiden.
-
The plague was likely running Infectious Fright since it's one of her perks. I don't remember Surge ever making survivors scream.
-
What do you expect, it's an asymmetrical game. Played F13 once after not playing it in months and I got Jason, stomped all of them including Tommy. Got a bunch of people yelling in my ears afterwards about how they could have cheated or how I should have went easier, not to mention I was called every slur under the sun. You get those types of people in EVERY asym game.

A Huntress that doesn’t tunnel or camp? Even when it’s completely unnecessary? Never seen it.
Even the 5,000+ hours, nearly 500 viewers Twitch nerd I had to play against last night camped and tunneled every hook. Can’t forget the 40,000 DPI try-hard flicking they do akin to Blight sweats.
You mean the Coconut wannabes

@IlliterateGenocide said:
It's easy to tunnel with huntress and trickster. So why not lol and she not one of the best killers
A killer that can hit and possibly down you at the very start of a match isn't one of the best killers??? Huh, so who do you think is one of the best, Onryo?
-
Shameless boost.
-
Only way I see a nerf working is if you're using a mouse and keyboard they limit the look angle after teleporting. Similar to blight.
Just had a match against a pc nurse and if she blinked just a little too far past a survivor well guess what, it didn't ######### matter because her dpi was so goddamn high she did a full 180 and hit me in less time it takes to blink your ######### eye. That is not fun to play against, especially on console. At least a console nurse is limited to an extent because of how controllers work.

If we turned off the DC Penalty every time BHVR broke their game, we'd never have a DC Penalty :D
One week every 3 months or so is not as big of a deal as everyone is making it out to be. I'd like to play and not be punished for something the devs broke, but I guess that's just me.

Kill switch it and rework it so it isn't terrible
Hopefully that's what they're doing with Lampkin Lane and not fixing some random bug with it.
-
@randonly said:
I don't know if it's something so urgent that it deserves to have the map disabled just because it's missing some breakable doors. Making an analogy, it's the same as asking the nurse to be disabled just because devs wrongly increased the speed of her blinks. I don't think both situations create an environment for killswitch.
about the perks that reveal the killer's aura, one of them needs to be disabled and soon.
They kill switched Dead Dawg because the window upstairs was missing a wall making it an infinite. The preschool is missing walls, making it an infinite. Why is one kill switched and the other isn't?

We don't know if it is a bug. I'm not willing to go down the what if lane without BHVR actually addressing this issue.
If it isn't then it's meant to be that way.
Bhvr has been deleting posts that mention a survivor perk that crashes other peoples games, is that intentional? Is that meant to be that way?

I've been to Midwich as survivor a whole lot recently, but do you see me complaining?
If there is a realm that favors killers, there's also one for survivors. You can't have the cake and eat it too. Either kill switch both or don't killswitch at all.
Ah yes, a map that is the same since launch and a map that is bugged in favor of survivors is 100% the same

I have no idea what you're referring to.
In the lobby all survivors names are all caps (APPLE for example), during a match their names are as the player put them (AppLe for example), then in end game screen it's back to all caps.

The only way I see boons being fair is if the killer can break a booned totem, and allow hexes and boons the ability to be on the same totem.
Think about it, if the killer can break a totem that has a boon on it, that will mean that BOTH sides will have a max of 5 totems. Also giving hexes and boons the ability to co exist will bring up an interesting gameplay dilemma. If a killer has a hex, the survivors has the choice of "I can boon this hex, but that means the killer can keep their hex, or I can break the hex and boon another totem." Same applies to killer "I can break this totem, but that'd break my hex as well. I could leave it, but that means the survivors keep their boon"
The fact that this isn't a thing is astonishing because it makes a lot more sense and opens up more interesting gameplay choices.
Side not: A killer breaking a boon totem will not let them get pentimento stacks for obvious reasons, but haunted grounds could still activate since the killer can only break totems with boons on them, and if they happen to boon haunted ground, then rip for the survivors.

There is no "fixing" queue times, at least not for dbd. Queue times are fine, so long as there is enough players for it to draw from. If your queue times are long, then that means the side you're waiting on isn't having fun and they've stopped playing. Ask the devs to make killer more enjoyable and your queue times just might get faster,
-
Couple seconds after I found out it was a leatherface. That was a fun match, didn't even last a minute and I was able to move on just as quickly.
-
Fixing the ai would be too hard for the devs. Maybe ask the mobile team if they can lend some people to the main team, since they have more experience with ai characters.

The grades do not affect your MMR.
It shows who's played longer than who for that month. If their still ash by the end of the month, they're either not that good or they haven't played most of the month, meaning their rusty or can't play much. There's a clear difference shown by the grades.
If you don't play for most of the month, are you gonna be as good as someone who has wasted so much of their own time to get to iridescent?
If you're working fast food, will you be as good as someone who has worked there for far longer than you?
I can understand ash to silver, or silver to iridescent, but there's a clear sign of something not working right when it's an ash 3 being paired with 4 iridescents.

The game is very ######### poorly optimized, any sort of weather effect would lag it to hell and back and either force the devs to rebuild the entire thing from the ground up because of how bad their coding is, or they'd just remove the weather effect entirely. And we all know what the devs would rather do.
-
Nothing, just that it counters lazy survivors.
-
So survivors don't have to do work? The totems are there just to look pretty? Give me a break, Noed can be broken BEFORE it can even be used. Cry me a river.
-
A chapter that involves medical attention in some way, this game will die a painful death because the devs and people begging for new content are only giving the game pain killers. Seriously, it's lost a leg and you're all giving it ibuprofen.

@DoritoHead said:
MMR absolutely has its issues.
However, kills and escapes play such a big role in MMR because there is really nothing else to judge it on. You're not playing for a full jury that weighs everything that happened in the match. A computer is what's judging you mmr, and a computer can't watch your match. A computer can't make decisions. All the computer can use to determine your mmr gain/loss is what you see on the endgame scoreboard. Specifically, if you died or not.
So we just gonna pretend that the last system didn't go off of how well you actually did in a match? It didn't keep track of the stuff you did? Didn't keep track of unhooks, or downs, or heals, or gen progress, or hooks, or nothing?
Am I high? Was that not a thing?

And most killers don't camp, because they think it's the stellar super duper fub method, but because they are frustrated by the state of the game and how they can't get a foot on the ground for several games in a row and they don't want to be laughed out of the gate with 0K, again!
Camping is unfun for sure, but so is getting gen rushed like mad (today I had my first gen pop 35s into the match), having each and every of your attempts to score a tiny victory utterly thwarted (bodyblocking, protection hits, breakout, sabotaging, boil over, flashlight saves, take your pick) and the rest of he time the survivors just disrespecting and BMing you. The fun for the killer in that is pretty marginal, I can assure you.
You can either bear with it, just suck it and let your MMR tank with each 4E and just hope for a better match next trial... or say f-it and camp and tunnel, because you know that it will annoy the opposition.
If only mmr actually worked like that. I played killer at high mmr and got no more than 2 kills in 6 matches. Once I got an easier match I got a 3k and guess where it put me right after... right on back to the same situation I just got out of. Went from unfair, to more fair, right back to unfair again. all in the span of 2 hours
-
Problem is that when there's a time TO camp the killer would be punished for it (end game for example). There has to be something in place to where it isn't 100% unfair for either side.
Camping is a VERY big problem but it'll also be VERY hard to fix.
I say at least give us more bloodpoints for getting camped and tunneled, makes it less painful when it happens every 9/10 games.
-
All I ######### get is ######### ####### killers that tunnel me or ######### camp me to death. This ######### is getting ######### old VERY ######### fast. This game is gonna die and I will not shed one ######### tear for. Good ######### riddance is what I say!

Tell that to the two low ranks me and my friend gets paired with
Seems mmr pairs us with people on the complete opposite side of the spectrum. Sometimes opposites attract but this game just isn't it, and it never will be.
-
@Labrac said:
MMR is capped so the best players will eventually get paired with the not-the-best players, otherwise they would have insane queues. It's not different than what happened at the old rank system.
So there's literally nobody at my skill level aside from the survivors I get paired with. Huh, wonder how that happened, totally isn't because dbd is dying and nobody wants to play or enjoys playing killer anymore.
You wanna know what's funny, when I play killer I get the survivors that that are far out of my league, so where the ######### are THOSE survivors at when I get dealt the ######### end of the stick as survivor? Shouldn't they be getting the ######### tourny players instead of me and any of the other 3 sorry saps that have to deal with it as well?

I don't escape a lot, I'm not the best survivor and I'm not afraid to admit that. Literally my third match of the day me and the randoms get rocked my a nurse with no perks or add ons. Literally nothing we could do and nothing we DID do helped us. Turns out the nurse has won 6 tournaments and have been labeled "The best Nurse on PS"
Why is someone like me being paired with people who do tournaments.

Not really a buff to noed if a boon can block noed from even appearing.

Boil over is too much - I survivor main & play killer sparingly
I imagine Xbox One/PS4 killers struggle the most with it
I don't find the effects of wiggling to be a problem on ps4. It's a pain when you're on an indoor map (Lerys and RPD) but aside from that I haven't had problems.
The main thing for the thread was the 25% survivors gained when the killer dropped from a height greater than 1ft.
-
@Smoe said:
I never found Boil Over to be that big of a deal to begin with, you can literally just turn the camera the opposite side of which you're moving towards to nullify the perk's intensity of the Struggle Effects.
The struggle effects wasn't the problem, hell I wouldn't really care if they upped it to 200%. The problem was the 25% of wiggle progress survivors got when the killer carrying them dropped from any height greater than a foot. Survivors were able to abuse this aspect on a large number of maps completely negating the killers ability to hook them, and then when they wiggled off they'd go right back to where they got downed because they knew that the killer couldn't hook them there. Like upstairs in the library of RPD, or the top of Thompson House.

So when exactly did I say that the perk shouldnt be revisited? You just proved again, that youre too short-sighted for balancing talks, if the only thing you can think about is that the perk gets trashed again.
Ok, I'll play your game. Where did I mention the perk needs to be trashed, where did I mention that? Pretty much what I said was, that survivors who complain about this new nerf are the ones that didn't see the problem with it. I don't want the perk trashed, I want it to be fair. The fact that people were able to abuse it so god damn easily made it a problem. 25% wiggle progress gained from literally any height greater than a foot, how is that NOT broken. I mean ######### lower the number or remove the bonus and just make the effect on the killer greater. Tell me how I'm short sighted when you only got a tiny bit of my views on the perk.
I want survivors AND killers to have perks come in and out of the meta, I want the meta to be more unique then it is. Boil over wasn't meta changing, it was a problem, a problem that is hopefully fixed with this new change.
Maybe use your brain instead of playing with it like play-doh.
-
@Tiufal said:
Nah, those like you shoudnt be allowed too. Cause youre too short-sighted for talks about balancing. Devs are going to set the perk back to trash-tier. Thats just actionism and has nothing to do with balancing at all.

Right on the money.

@Brimp said:
Funny thing is noed has been nerfed over the years. Wasn't it active at the start of the match when the game first came out?
Exactly. It would be active at the end and there was nothing survivors could do about it, then it was given a maximum time of 2 minutes. Now it's a hex perk that can be broken at the start of the match, It's been HELLA nerfed and so many die hard survivor mains fail to realize that.
-
Sometimes it isn’t even them faking, the chains that hit them stop them from solving it.
Due to this it looks like they’re spamming when in reality they’re getting hit by chains causing them to restart, only to then get hit by another chain.

This is normal. Hours and grades does not matter to MMR. If you win, your MMR will go to up. And you will get better players. And when you start lose, the exact opposite. Seem like, mmr works for you.

I honestly think BHVR can't make a game that functions properly. I got a copy of Naughty Bear: Gold Edition on the ps3 and it runs like garbage. How the hell did they get a special edition for Naughty Bear when it runs like I'm running ray tracing in vr on minecraft.

The fact that he is THE go to camping killer and there's literally nothing you can do. Go for a save, downed. Go for a save with borrowed, downed and he still has charges to go after the survivor you saved. All 3 bum rush for save, someone or everyone is getting downed. The only time you have is during his cooldown which even then he has one charge that just came back so he can still chainsaw right after.
It's unfun and absolutely boring to play as and against him.
