Why isn't there a map with thunderstorms?
Sure there is rain in some maps and it's snowing in Ormond but we're missing something so crucial in this game and that is thunder. Why you haven't added something like that blows my mind.

Because from this games coding, an effect like rain and/or thunder would crash the program instantly
Light a boon totem.
I like that different SCARIER weather maybe in offering something may never happen tho.
The game is very ######### poorly optimized, any sort of weather effect would lag it to hell and back and either force the devs to rebuild the entire thing from the ground up because of how bad their coding is, or they'd just remove the weather effect entirely. And we all know what the devs would rather do.
I could be remembering wrong, but doesn't RPD have thunderstorms?
I guess since many elements in this game rely on sounds (survivor grunts/breathing, footsteps, same for killers especially stealthy ones, gens, skillcheck cues etc) thunderstorms would be map wide and too irritating.
Because it will sound too much like the notice noise for killers and it will be confusing for them in the long run.
id rather them fix sound occlusion first than add a map thats constantly storming.
I would like a randomized weather effect but the extra coding and labor would be time where they aren't making skins of semi to completely shirtless men and I'm fairly sure NOBODY would be ok with the increased thirst...
I couldn't stop laughing. Your comments makes my day a bit brighter than usual.
It doesn't have to be super loud or constant. Just an occassional thunder sound that you can hear it but barely muffles the survivor or killers sound.
There's a reason why, every time it rained in F13 I'd get like 30 fps.
We used to have Moon Offerings they should give us weather offerings. Rain could wash away blood trails easier but making running sounds more noticble. Fog could just make LoS worse and work like reagents already do. If they did add thunder and lightening it should boost the doctors static shock too like amplify it. They could also add in windstorms which could cause dust clouds and what not like on deathslingers map.
It would make consoles burst into flames, for one. For another, even the low ambient noises on a lot of maps are confusing and distracting; a loud thunderstorm would be awful for both survivors and killers.
I tend to agree. Lower end PCs and the last gen consoles prolly couldn't hack it, and just the thought of this caused the Switches to run screaming into the night...
Oh no, poor switch people, they could probably cook food on top of their switch with how hot it would get.
Probably because thunderstorms in games require much more resources than light rain or light snow, seeing how poorly optimized the game is (especially on consoles) adding something like thunder with dynamic light and all the great effects would put the already low FPS into the single digits.
