This really applies. Yes, they can be defeated. Note the survivors in the screenshots have hit R1 before as have I. This was a fair fight on both sides. However, I do agree survivors need to be buffed to some extent and have other objectives to do other than hold m1. However, slowing their speed is not fun for them. They need a mandatory mid-shift secondary objective. The team got down to 2 gens and even for how long the game was didn't even manage to do all the totems.
Not the build I mentionned earlier, probably not the map and also I wasn't playing a meta killer.
I'm in no way saying it is impossible but rather that winning is much too easy on the survivors side by simply following a quick and simple recipe.
-
Interesting, I'm asking random ppl on the game and literally everyone agrees survivors are OP and can easily make strong builds.
Although, everyone also gave up on hoping for balance and just run meta perks...that's sad...
-
No matter how good you are lets meet near the impossible loop around the white shack with a gen on top. I'll have fun.

Dude,
git gud
Learn mindgames
Dude I destroy any of your Killer anytime. That's exactly my point.
-
Also, using one of the most OP Killer as an example isn't helping at all.
To me if at a certain point some killers can't even deal with survivors, it shows an INSANE imbalance.
-
Dude,
Dead hard
Decisive strike
Lithe
Sprintburst
Urban evasion
Man's mettle
Insta heal
Adrenaline
Head on
Deliverance
Distortion
Windows of opportunity
Do you know how toxic: Lithe, DS, DH and man's mettle combo can be ? Like that's not even being good that's literally letting the game win for you. How tf am I suppose to deal with 4 survivors with this build ?
Note that's without even bringing health pack with insta heal.
-
Also, did I interest you or you stalk me just for rp purposes ?

Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't EVERY Wraith...like this is so boring to always think "Oh I hope I'm not the first hook bc that's going to be it."

Unless shards don't mean anything it shouldn`t bother you. And I don't see anything bad in making complete loss better for a killer who isn't good enough to kill survivors. A sort of a second chance. This game doesn't forgive killer's mistake, at least not like it does with every survivor's ones.
I definetly agree on that but it doesn't make it any better.
-

Then you were not good enough to beat this wraith and your teammates were also not good enough to help you. ######### happens. Accept it and move on.
Look I camp and tunnel too, I know how this works but there's a HUGE difference between camping me a few mins and camping me an entire game.
Btw I did end up making more than him but I still lost a shard. And "well he just made 4k" doesn't seem like a good excuse anymore.
I lost 15mins in matchmakings for this crap.
-
Although everyone seem to prefer spine chill, I really enjoy premonition. It is Much more reliable as you can see from which direction the Killer is coming from.

Plunderer's Demise only really functions 3 times in an average game, and can easily just not matter. The idea of having trapped chests added is probably more effective, maybe 1/2/3 added that just injure the player and/or guarantee bad loot.
Precision seems like a punishment, rather than a reward. Combo it with Ruin, or Unnerving Presence, and you see what I mean: it's a killer perk masquerading as a survivor perk. If you want it to reward survivors, buff action speed for repairs/healing and/or reduce the number of skill checks. As things are, this isn't 'risk/reward', it's just risk.
Idk I'm the kind of survivor that doesn't cleanse huntress lullaby bc it makes me repair gens faster...
-
Perk idea;
Angel's touch: Once per trial get up as soon as you are put into a dying State but cause the mending status for 20s/30s/40s.
Demon's blood: Staying within the killer terror radius for a cumulative 80s/70s/60s will allow you to remotly stun the killer. Cannot be used during a chase.
-
If Gandalf is a survivor I'm on board!
Perk;
You Shall not pass: Slam your hand to the ground to creat an invisible wall for 5s/10s/15s, cause exhaustion for 60s/50s/40s.
XD hahahahaha
-
Hey peeps Tell me what you think of my changes! I'll probably repost.
-
Mind flayer : NOTICE ME SENPAI!
Entity: ...
-
Nice catch! I hadn't noticed!
-
How about Buffy now ?
The serie has been out of the mainstream media long enough for the rights to be cheap but still relevant enough to Spark interest!
Even the actual studio which owns the right could like the idea since it could lead to a reboot. Which means money.
-
I would LOVE precision BUT wouldn't it make gen rush even easier ? Aren't the devs trying to work against that ?

I see your point, one shirt costs like $5. You can literally go to Forever 21 or H&M and get shirts for 4.99 I don’t get why pixelated clothes on a screen are the same prices as real life clothes...
A shirt at 4.99$ ? Send links.

a kind of "free rotation" of killer's/survivors would be cool. While they're free you can level them and use their perks. Maybe you wouldn't be able to get their perks as teachables though, any progress you got on them would be saved but unusable until they're free again or until you buy them.
That's a really great idea!
It would also allow ppl to try out the killer/survivor they are interested in before buying anything.
-
I really like it and since the illusion aren't really doing any damage it doesn't need any nerf imo.

I initially posted these perks on Reddit, and this was one of the comments I got:
"...any time in a chase you just teleport 12 seconds away from the killer, that's an insane amount added to a chase when you consider they have to re-close that ground, not lose track of you in that time, and hope you don't get to a new pallet/loop. It'd be like sprint burst activating mid chase but lasting like 10 full seconds."
In essence, it would make the killer have to double back, and try not to lose the survivor before they make it to another pallet. So instead, it would be to quickly hide after missing a skill check, then reverting when the killer investigates the noise.
Ah okay yeah I get it ! Really good !

I actually made a few perk ideas for Tree a while back. Mostly, they had to do with the whole "time loop" thing, since, y'know, it's the premise of the movie.
Perk 1 - Time Loop
- Activate-able perk.
- Upon activation, the survivor reverts to the position they were at 8/10/12 seconds ago.
- Any progress on any interaction, excluding healing others, will be reverted to the position it was at when the survivor first started their interaction.
- Injuries are not healed
- Cannot be activated in a chase
- Cooldown of 90/75/60 seconds
"See you soon, #########." - Theresa "Tree" Gelbman
Perk 2 - Nine Lives
- Can recover from the dying state.
- Tier based perk.
- Tiers increase whenever the survivor gets downed.
- Tier 1 - Recover from dying state 50%/55%/60% faster, and heal to Healthy State on recovery
- Tier 2 - Recover from dying state 30%/35%/40% faster, and inflicts Hindered for 60 seconds on recovery
- Tier 3 - Recover from dying state 10%/5%/0% slower, and inflicts Broken on recovery
"I keep on getting weaker every time I come back. You know, maybe I'm like that cat with nine lives. Eventually, I'm gonna run out." - Theresa "Tree" Gelbman
Perk 3 - Rolling Blackout
- When the killer is in a radius of 8 meters, and the survivor is in the dying state, a Skill Check occurs
- A Good Skill Check stuns the killer for 1 second, but the survivor is not healed.
- A Great Skill Check stuns the killer for 2 seconds, and you recover to the injured state.
- A Failed Skill Check does nothing.
- Skill check success area is reduced by 75%/60%/45%.
- No audio cue for skill check
"Safety's off. Thanks for the tip." - Theresa "Tree" Gelbman.
Really cool but I don't understand the purpose of time loop if it isn't for chase ?
-
Flames of change: holding the trigger key for a cumulative 20mins/15mins/10mins will complet all generators and open one of the exit gates. You then get the broken status till the end game collapse.
-
Ty btw I did work on it for a little while. :P

Damn, that's a lot of effort for a survivor. Perks seem pretty nice, although situational - but no, Lucid doesn't use the same sleeping mechanics as Freddy. There isn't a way to wake up; you're either in Adrienne's Dream or Seraphine's Dream.
Other than that, well done! I'll add the perks to the original post once they're rebalanced and credit you ^-^
(I'd add the lore as well, but that'd make the already-too-long post even longer so I'll just say it's on page 2)
I may have an idea to change it. Instead the survivor gains immunity for a few seconds during the dream transition ?
-
I made a first draft survivor build for Buffy and Willow.
Whilst looking through the old episode I came accros the musical. I think I'll do a build using the singing demon! XD
Although "the gentleman" would be creepy af.

-_-" Jeez dude...
Buffy Summers is the "Slayer". She's like supergirl but towards vampires.
You seriously never heard of "Buffy the vampire Slayer"

I have no complaints, 90% of Blendettes spend the game hiding and not contributing to the team. They are played by players who lack experience or skill in chases, so the try hiding to avoid it altogether.
A hiding survivor is the same as a flashlight blinking ‘distraction chase’...zero threat to the game’s progress. Think of them as being on your team lol
I agree with the first part but hidding do require skills. Which one ? Angle of views, map knowledge, line of sights, etc.
Imo hidding is a very nice tool for those that have difficulties to survive chases or don't have the perks to do so.
Some great jukers should train their stealth a bit from what I see. Looping is good and all until you revealed everyone to the killer running around not paying attention.
-
Yeah next I'm getting distortion tho
-
@IMhereRUN said:
I do agree the nerf to Enduring was unnecessary, but you’re talking up these other perks like they’re sooo great. And BT is NOT stupidly strong, it counters tunneling, challenging us killers to actually catch the survivors, not have them deliver themselves to us. For the future, hit the rescuer twice and hook them instead...now go find your recently unhooked survivor, his 15 seconds are definite expired.
Eummm dude have you ever dealt with all those perks plus insta heal and purple flashlights ? It's kinda BS...
-
Lbh...she's black and dressed in brown...which is most of the color pallet in DbD...
There's nothing to do about it tho...you want to make her skin lighter ? Ppl Will scream White washing...

@Carlosylu said:
Ok... I've played SWF for quite a whyle and I've discovered that if the killer is rank 20-13 they tend to camp or tunnel, and as killer, from rank 12-1 survivors tend to infinite loop and prank killers for 5 gens in a row.
When being killer I actually believe it's the killer's fault when they become obsessed with catching the looper instead of focusing on doing their job and getting the weak first, but this knowledge will not apply for the new players, cause they WILL NOT face high rank survivors.
BUT, when being a new survivor, going against a toxic killer is practically a rule... HOW are the devs gonna fight this to make new players STAY in the data base of regular players? Any ideas to help them?
THIS IS A MATTER OF REAL IMPORTANCE, WE NEED MORE PLAYERS FOR THE GAME TO IMPROVE IN LOTS OF WAYS.
My killer is rank 14 and yet the lowest survivors I get are rank 9-10 so...idk man seems a bit odd...

I don't know what the actual Demo we're going to get is but I really hope it's good because I am not feeling it. I have a big suspicion it's ######### and nothing like we think it'll be, no Upside-down. I hope I'm wrong because all the fan made versions are really fun to read, especially the tracking abilities, it's aesthetic for one and actually useful.
Well I was right about the portals tho lol
-
I really like the psychic perk but it shouldn't trump blindness, I mean it's already useless as it is.
Having a few more perks that gets counter by blindness would be good for both sides.
-
I made a few changes and am thinking about some nice mechanics will be adding them in a moment

@Raptorrotas said:
Ive had a discussion of a similiar killer way back then when this forum didnt exist. I cant say it's from experience but more from insight how this game is.
On paper it sounds similiar to hag's teleport, but the "getting out of the locker part" would make it nearly impossible to get a hit on your chased survivor. AND very siruational.
Even with 115% ms (4.6), he'd be considered weak by the community. Especially with that big terror radius.
The idea is to control gens by teleporting to the MANY lockers around them.
He's not good at chases bc that's not really the role I had on mind for him. He's rather just there to prevent gen progression, punish mistakes from survivors and torture locker campers.

Dont main nurse or spirit lmao. Mainly play Plague and New Freddy. I wish people like you would add something to a conversation vs complaining about a post that you more than likely did not read. It'd be much more productive on both ends if you chose to discuss vs whine. :/
I read it and it's mainly "only the Nurse and spirit are viable higher up!" Which isn't true.
Also, I wish ppl like you would get good and stop complaining.

No imagination allowed!!
Haha sorry, I guess I came across a little bit dickish. I just thought it was weird to see suggestions for a killer that already exists. I like your stealth power idea.
That's okay and ty I'm trying to make it as similar to the serie as I can. Hopefully some of my ideas were on point and match the actual Killer power and build. :P

I'm pretty sure they already figured this stuff out a long time ago man. Did you think they just now started working on the powers and perks after the killer got announced?
