ST spoilers, I guess, maybe? idk. for season 1, if you count it as one.
Did you know, Steve was originally supposed to die in season 1. However, Joe Kerry, the actor, was so likeable that they reworked him into one of the best characters in ST ever.
Montauk was a television sci-fi horror concept created by the Duffer Brothers, and the original iteration of their hit Netflix series Stranger Things. This early version has much in common with Stranger Things, but differs in various ways; most notably, it was planned to be set in Montauk, Long Island rather than the fictional Hawkins, Indiana. The Duffers produced a script for the show's first episode, a 20-page Stephen King-style pitch booklet, and a mock trailer used in pitches to... -

I remember seeing an image on reddit where supposedly in the files of the game they showed the different currencies (such as bloodpoints, iridicent shards, lunar coins, etc) and one of these did not match anything seen before.
it was called dust, and everyone was saying something about stranger things, the devs haven't said anything about that.
I would love a stranger things event but I think it doesn't fit in the devs roadmap.
Tell me, would you like a stranger things event or would you be fine without it?
Would be fine without it, but I hope that before the license deal is over, they secured the rights to some ST charms to be featured when Charms release.
Mainly the ST cast featured as charms. If ya think it'll be hard, maybe... but if so, just do a 2D model of a ST character face.
Also, would be fine without it... but at the same time I would like to be Steve, with a Steve Charm. That would be nice.

N U T .

that's it. Just I have no use for it since He's the least stealthiest killer of all time.
However, I will say I'm happy the devs are making this change. Even though it has no meaning to me, I know this'll help out a LOT of killer mains. here's an unironic, thank you so very much devs.

Here are my Steve cosmetic ideas. (5 Purple Rarity, 2 Yellow Rarity, and 5 unrelated Brown Rarities)
Possible Skins for Steve Harrington if he was to join Dead by Daylight EDIT: He made it, yes! Also, if things are in gifs, it’s because I could only find them in gifs. Yellow Rarity: Unnamed (comes with no head piece) Yellow Rarity: Ninja Outfit Description: Sneaky, like a Ninja Comes with n...I made this before Steve got in, and never made ideas for Nancy.
EDIT: Idea I had no place for in the doc, what if Steve had a outfit in reference to Dustin? Their relationship while random and unexpected, is a really good one. I don't see it happening as it ain't canon for Steve to wear Dustin's clothes, but it also ain't canon for Steve to be repairing a generator in Haddonfield, sooooooo...
-
Well, I mean... I main Doctor.
-
in my opinion, they are great as they are. They aren't meta, but look at them.
Stranger Things is a really popular series right now, and the devs knew this would bring in a lot of players.
Fixation: Teaches survivors how they shouldn't run everywhere. (Could also be used in high ranks, but only to know where your scratchies are so you know where to juke. also for SB players)
Inner Strength: Teaches survivors that they should just cleanse totems.
Better Together: Good Aura reading perk, which helps survivors group together. Good for solo, and (imo) newer players.
Second Wind, and Babysitter: Made for older players, not newer like the others.
Chamberine? Idk, I forgot: In low ranks, people are scared to go anywhere mainly. So for low ranks, having extended hook time does sound good.
If it's what I genuinely believe it is, this is mainly meant to be "Baby'z f1rst ch4pter" as most of the perks are beginner friendly (with the 3 exemptions in my eyes meant to be there so non-new survivors mains don't get bored). Plus, as I said, this'll bring in a TON of new players, and maybe the devs knew that as making the perks.
However, if most were made for serious, competitive players then O O F.
Even though I'm not a new player, and I genuinely believe it's meant to be for beginners mainly. I'm still going to buy it since I LOVE ST, and I must play Steve "The Hair" Harrington. -

Maybe, maybe not?
I mean, if someone who made an SCP page were to sue, they could claim any upsurge in players (and thus sales of the base game) after the SCP DLC was added could be attributed to SCP being in the game. Thus, legally, BHVR would be making money off of SCP. Even if the DLC part was free.
Copywrite laws and IP's are very murky.
Fair. that does make sense.
But I'm missing the part of that where the problem relates to me, and not the devs. -
I think anyone can use the license, just not for profit. Example, if SCP was to get in, if it was paid DLC then that's a lawsuit. If it's free, it's good.

Yeah, he did die. He was shot and bled out on the floor in the hallway (I think, it's been a long time for me too). You are right, resurrection did suck but I wouldn't consider the new Halloween as a sequel since it is a different timeline. For me it will be Halloween one, two and H20 that counts. Quentin definitely dies in the original. Don't think they were looking at remakes when they considered it.
"Quentin definitely dies in the original. Don't think they were looking at remakes when they considered it."
The thing is though, is that the Freddy and Quentin we got is based off the remake, as they stated before. Even Quentin's perks emphasize this, since the quotes in his perks only came from the remake, and not the original. (EDIT: According to @Rydog he wasn't even in the original, which is what I thought but wasn't 100% sure on it)
Also, Steve and Nancy got in probably because they were exploring the woods, got chased by Demegorgen, and as running they encounter a camp fire and D I E . at least that's my theory.
EDIT: Posted too early, don't read.ok, read now. it's good. -

Surge activates in a 32 meters radius around you, how many gens do you think there are in that zone ? 1, maxim 2 and sometimes even noone + plus it has a cooldown on top of it.
Cruel Confiment : again, it activates in a 32 meters radius around the finished gen, it can only activate 5 times per match and if you leave the area after finishing that gen, you are safe.
Mindgambreaker : the exhaustion last just for 3 seconds after leaving the gen.
fair enough.

I don't see any new killer perk being meta. They all seems too situational.
So... Downing a survivor is too situational? (Surge)
Survivors completing a gen is too situational? (Cruel Confinement)
Survivors working on a gen is too situational? (Mindbreaker)

Survivors have to worry about getting a good map with a decent amount of pallets, having good teammates, also having teammates with decent internet, a killer with decent internet, and hoping to god that the killer isn’t gonna do all the toxic things killers can do which means face camping, totem camping, along with top tier perks.
Killers have to worry about getting a good map with not that many pallets (which ain't many), having bad survivors, having decent internet, and hoping to god that the survivors aren't gonna do all the toxic things survivors can do which means looping, gen rushing, stunning killers with pallets or flashlights so the carried survivor can get off, along with top tier perks.
Coins have two sides to them, you know.

I had ideas for Steve, since he was the ST survivor I wanted most. Those ideas mainly being costume related.
…actually, they were only costume related.
Possible Skins for Steve Harrington if he was to join Dead by Daylight EDIT: He made it, yes! Also, if things are in gifs, it’s because I could only find them in gifs. Yellow Rarity: Unnamed (comes with no head piece) Yellow Rarity: Ninja Outfit Description: Sneaky, like a Ninja Comes with n...After long time of thinking, I could only come up with six skins (4 purple rarity, 2 yellow) outfits. (this time I'm really hopping the devs will add 5 more brown rarity skins for the survivors and killer of this chapter. I've had the simple idea a long time ago. I really want licensed survivors to get 5 brown rarity, that are simple recolors. I just really want my Ash to have blue pants, is that too hard to ask for?)

@TAG Let's be honest Netflix has a lot wrong with it other than it's description of Stranger Things as horror. I've even looked up what people classify Stranger Things as, and while some things classify it as horror, the only people who actually describe it as scary are people who are afraid of their own shadow and don't even like to watch horror.
@Jimsalabim It's very kids oriented. Yeah, it's also teen drama, but it is in no way horror. It may not be ONLY a kid's show, but it's definitely as much a kid's show as it is teenage drama, and nowhere near horror.
@JESUS_CHRIST I never said I disliked Stranger Things, and there are many characters in the show I like(meaning I am invested. I mean I've watched all three seasons). That doesn't make me think any more of it being horror than if I hated it. It's not horror. It's teenage drama with kids and sci fi elements. The thing all those movies have in common(and yes, Jaws during it's time WAS scary, but that's because movies weren't like they are now). Again, the only people who actually get SCARED in Stranger Things are people who are so afraid of horror that they don't even watch horror, and are only invested because it isn't really horror. None of the death scenes in Stranger Things are meant to scare anyone, except maybe Barb's, and that was literally the only one. All of the others are either emotional scenes meant to make you go "No don't kill him" much like GoT, people you aren't invested in or don't even know, or heroic scenes in which the person sacrifices themselves to save another. There is gore, and there may be one or two jump scares, the bits that SHOULD be scary are watered down, and even those scenes are so few and far between I could almost forget about the other world known as the Upside Down until they bring it to the conclusion where they bring it all together.
Bill is LITERALLY from a shooter game, yet Stranger Things is too far?

Firstly I wasn't sure where to put this so if it needs moved feel free...(also as its the new chapter I am rewatching this from the very beginning like its my first time and to refresh my memory a little with few things)
Right as the title says, the new chapter for Stranger Things the devs have chosen 1 wrong character which is Steve, INSTEAD they should have put in Johnathan in Will's brother...
We already have 1 ass in the game who is the "hard man" which is David now we have a second Steve.
My reasoning for this is every time Steve is on screen he is nothing but a dumbass an a chicken ######### plus he is a little obsessive BUT Jonathan on other hand shows he cares and protects who he cares about he doesn't put on a show in front of others and his character works better with Nancey...
So why go with Steve or is it just cause he is the "popular" one an more of a money maker?
Yes I am aware people will none stop argue with me but try and answer the question first...
"...Steve is on screen he is nothing but a dumbass an a chicken [BAD WORD]…"
maybe dummy. but a chicken?
He saved Nancy and Jonathan in Season One at the finale, with only a bat, when he was offered the chance to leave. That scene from season 2, where the kids are in the bus and demidogs are outside, he rushes out to fight them one on one with a melee weapon. remember in Season 3 where he and Robin made the sacrifice so that Dustin and Erica could leave through the vent in the Russian labratory. Sure, they didn't die, but they most likely thought they would have.
Dummy, maybe. but no way am I allowing you to say he's a chicken.
EDIT: "...plus he is a little obsessive..." you talked about Steve when saying this, when...
Quentin 2.0 in season one, literally took naked photos of Nancy in season 1. Sure Steve might've wanted 6 (but replace the "I" with "E") with Nancy, but at least it was with permission, as the 6 wasn't rap with an "e" at the end. Quentin 2.0 just took the photos.

I think it's her cheeks. Her facial features are squished in the middle of her face and her jaw/cheeks take up the majority of her head. I see what the artists were trying to do.. but the proportions seem off. I feel gross nit-picking. I'm gonna stop.
that's mainly what I meant by facial features. I should've just specify it. (that, and the, imo, squished nose).

like, I know it's exciting that we can now get non-human killers. as long as they are just humanoid.
But what I wanted to mention, that no one here has, is that this also means we can get 2 survivors in one chapter, no longer only needs to be one (before you say it's just a skin swap. Steve and Nancy will be Legion, if you were about to say that then...)

DIO wouldn't work, as his stand is pretty one-dimensional. It just stops time. And that probably wouldn't be very enjoyable for survivors and a nightmare to balance for the devs. Same deal with King Crimson, how would you even do a time skip. And even if they took characters from parts that aren't animated, they only other option for killer would realistically be Funny Valentine, but that would mean Johnny as the survivor, which just would not work. They wouldn't do Part 1 or 2, Part 3+ is where the series got popular in the west. Josuke and Kira are the only candidates that make sense for a JoJo chapter.
fair enough.
-
New Survivor: Josuke Higashikata
Backstory: Same with Kira, just go to part 4.
Perks:
"WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT MY HAIR?!":
oh boi, you done messed up. If you are hit while crouching (as in, the killer seemingly attacks you hair) You gain a sprint burst of 150% for 3 seconds. Causes 50/40/30 second exhaustion. In addition, the killer is stunned for 2 seconds. You still are injured.
"What was that about my hair?" - Josuke to Jotaro.
Restoration:
You call your stand, Crazy Diamond. You can go up to a pallet, and immediately break it. this causes a noise notification, but gives you a token. Cleansing a totem also gives a token. Up to 2/3/4 tokens. You can go to any broken pallet (that ain't the killer shack one, for balance) and restore it to a pallet that can be thrown. doing this takes 3/2.5/2 seconds, and costs a token. You can also use 3 to instantly heal someone from dying to healthy.
(I feel it's fair because you have to waste soo many pallets for something only you will use. in fact it's a great you perk, but destroys the team)
(Unnamed Perk):
(Based on in the show where he uses Kira's blood to send the blood to kira in a heart shaped weapon). You can press a special button to make the blood fly back to the original owner, however only one pile of blood per person until the injured survivor is healed again. The blood is floating slightly slower than survivors running. It'll lead back to the injured survivor it came from, this immediately restores 10%/20%/30% of the survivors health back.
Even though it'll obviously be Jotaro and DIO, if there was a JoJo chapter it need the JoJo and villain, so I tried me hardest at Josuke to go with Kira.Never mind, look below. -
Well, I really love JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and Top Hats. So my weapon would probably be this.
just throws a top hat with blades that'll circle back to me in my hand.

Anyways back on topic; I'm still looking for the name of the game. Basically you are 4 hunters (Medic, trapper, etc) vs a killer (xenomorph, chtullu, etc.)
Is it this? It's one of the first things I found so probably not.
-
Even if roles was "such a great idea" the roles would be HORRIBLY unbalanced. Like out of all 65 survivor perks, only 10 would actually make sense to be in the healer role as an example.
-
@TheUnendingNightmare said:
You could still use any characters but their perks has to match the role requirement. Certain perks could be cross roles.
Also, these rules wouldn't be applied to private matches.
yeah we know, but we don't want our BUILDS limited. If I can't use DH and Spine Chill I'm A N G E R Y.
-
With the spark of madness came someone I love playing, and someone I really find fun to play against. And they became my main, and I still love them...
and then there was feng.
I hate everything about her. Her annoying voice, her outfit, her perks. I despise her with a passion. My team mins are bad, that urban across the map, and as killer she's an annoying, flashlight clicker, toxic survivor that can loop me for at least 3 gens.

A flat character is a character that doesn't undergo any monumental changes. Steve is always the loser kid in school trying to be the cool kid, Hopper is always the ######### cop with the big heart, Joyce is always the whining mom, Nancy is always the privileged girl, etc. They are the same from start to finish. I'm not sure how to break that down more for you. They didn't grow into any other roles.
How can another dimension and Russians be boring? Well Stranger Things found a way. They did so by making the entire plot predictable at every step. No surprises ever, nothing to put you on the edge of your seat, just typical sci-fi tropes to feed audiences that don't know any better. These aren't even unique plots, look at whole host of spy movies created and you'll have more than enough Russian espionage crap, and there are already too many multi-dimensional stories out there. What the hell did Stranger Things do that was suddenly new and different? 80s aesthetic?
Cringe dialogue is a feature of the script. That whole stating the obvious romance between Hopper and Joyce in season 3? Yeah that was cringe af. The D&D sessions? Incredibly cringe. The antics between Eleven and nearly every character? Cringe. Some of the worse dialogue I have ever seen. Oh I know, let's make it where she can only say a few words and that will be her thing! Get real.
"Steve is always the loser kid in school trying to be the cool kid"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79SU82KQ8lgat 1:47 it literally said he was the king of the school as they would all call him. if he was king, he was popular. 'nuff said.
He goes from the stereotypical jock, who is popular, and a total jerk, to... well, still king jock, but not a total jerk, in fact a really nice guy who'll go risk himself for others.
Remember Season 3 where he stayed behind so Dustin and Erica could escape?
He does have more changes, but I'm just proving at least that this thesis was wrong, cause he was indeed a popular kid.
The rest I won't argue about. it's really late (1:22AM for me) and those are decent points, I'll give it that.

Someone who always suggests QoL changes and personal opinions usually have a Bill or Huntress icon.
People that are grumps usually have a Jokeface, Spirit or Trapper icon.
You understand what I mean.
(People who complain and whine about everything have a Meg, Kate or Legion icon).
Also I'm using the word "usually", this doesn't mean that the people that have their profile pic as *insert character here* always act this way, just most of the time.

This is untrue. I’m a frequent user of No Mither and a killer will frequently get distracted by other survivors if you’ve intentionally run in to take a protection hit, or just generally stay within the group. Sometimes they’ll realise their mistake and quickly return to try and find me, but by then I’ve crawled just far enough that they don’t know where I’ve gone because No Mither leaves no blood trail.
Of course if you’re caught out on your own, your being picked up.
Anyway, No Mithers greatest value is being able to calmly walk away from a hook after being rescued without leaving a blood trail, making it super difficult for a returning killer to determine which direction you went.
"This is untrue. I’m a frequent user of No Mither and a killer will frequently get distracted by other survivors if you’ve intentionally run in to take a protection hit, or just generally stay within the group."
(mumbles under breath) Jesus out of the 30+ times that scenario happens I never had that [Killer leaving me] once, yet this person is an exception. I wish I was that lucky, why can't I be left on the floor?
I mean, yea. of course! silly me.

You don't have to be very alert to realize when a Survivor is randomly instant downed from healthy without you having done any setup first.
oh no, he says the person, the model itself is injured. just the hud says he's healthy.
Still, I don't think you need to be that alert to think "I never once saw that Dwight, how is he injured?"

I get what you're saying but I removed the 'Tells' of No Mither. No Broken icon for Killers, and his character icon looks normal for his state (after the first hit).
I bet a ton of Killers will just assume he's not getting healed up instead of assuming it's No Mither.
So, if I remember right the person still looks injured. So either he's not leaving blood trails (an Injured Person not leaving blood trails = No Mither). Or the killer never saw him ever and is just ok with seeing someone he hasn't hit injured for no reason.
Or if I read wrong, and he looks healthy before being hit. then for this... "I bet a ton of Killers will just assume he's not getting healed up instead of assuming it's No Mither." then the killer would just go after him and find out he has no mither. He may not even know it, but if he sees a survivor he'll KILL em.
-
good idea. I still feel like it'll be useless though since Killers
NEVERleave the No Mither survivor on the floor, since they can always recover. I know they appear healthy at first, but when they discover you, they know just who you really are. Still has tunneling. Also relies on having friends... :,cPersonally, my idea on doing it is where it's a high risk, high reward (like how it kinda is now, with low breathing and no blood, but the trade of being one shot). My idea is where you can remove exhaustion while running but at a slower pace (not working with Vigil). That way it could make is so maybe Killers won't want to tunnel the No Mither Guy just cause he's one shot, but leave because of his looping abilities and potential for multiple sprint bursts
