I think so... if you played when they switched it on and off.... there was no difference. The SWF rejoining was happening when the servers were off. I think they just waited until dedicated server testing, before releasing it.
I think they made the servers something they can turn off and on at backend. I think what we seen as per the lobby, will be in the next update. Which would make sense, so they don't need to keep doing updates to the consoles.
There really was no reason as to why it wasn't put in earlier. I think when they announced servers they just sort of decided to wait till then. But programming wise, there really is no difference, servers weren't needed to add in that functionality.

They might put them on sale when the DLC drops... they sometimes go on sale on Humble Bundle too.
Humble Bundle just had a sale that ended.
However... The new Stranger Things DLC won't probably go on sale until the next one drops... so about 3 or 4 months.

Not a bad idea for some of the baby killer mains.
Wait till after the nerf cause then everyone doesn't have to hear you whine about buying the killer and it getting nerf'ed shortly afterwards.
Save everyone the trouble. That should help keep the killer queues down a bit aswell.
I however don't care if they make changes afterwards.

Make the new people eat some dirt for a few minutes.
They don't know how to do gens or totems... so hard to know if noed will even be useful since they should all be down before a gen is done. But I like NOED more then Ruin.

Actually you did. You clicked on find match.... then clicked on ready with those survivors in your lobby.
You asked the game to match you up with 3 other survivors and 1 killer and that is what the game did for you.

I personally think the DLC will drop then we'll wait a bit more for the dedicated servers. Probably more testing to be done first.
I have a feeling this will be something they will turn off and on in their backend. During the PTB they seemed to be able to turn it off and on without an update.

One thing to notice during that PTB was... The lobby system for SWF. I found it funny they waited till the dedicated servers to roll out the rejoining of SWF. When they turned off the dedicated servers... It continued to work as if nothing had changed. In the past it felt like they were kind of pushing the idea that the "SWF" lobby system couldn't be done until servers... but... no.

Make sure to record it... something like that you usually got to follow up your report with video evidence.

So if you weren't tryharding... Why get upset if the otherside tries to bully you by bringing in flashlights and instaheals? Why would it matter? How do you get your feelings hurt if you are fooling around? They choose not to fool around... So what does that matter?
I'm only talking about DBD here, PTB in particular... I'm not relating it to anything outside of that. Keep any real world comparisons to yourself, as they don't apply here with what the OP said.

Someone can come in with the mindset of bullying to make the killer or survivors rage quit. What does it matter if they did? If you are testing, why does that matter? I don't even get what you are even talking about there. It's PTB.

I was trying something like testing the new killer out... and a bunch of survivors all of a sudden started running around me.... flash-lighting me... let me hit them... and then insta healed in front of me... while all the others pointed and t-bagged..... WHAAAAA!

Actually... If you weren't try-harding against that type of squad you described, you would be uninteresting. They would only care if you were try-harding and then did as you said... raged quit. Especially on a PTB.
So if you were testing and tryharding.... then don't get upset if the otherside tryhards aswell.
The PTB has allowed all the items since it was started. So you can't expect people not to want to use them. So I guess they are "bullies" cause they did. They didn't go into the match with the same mindset of "testing".

Just have some fun... Once you learn to just have fun at this game and not care about all the BS that can come with it... You'll enjoy it allot more.

If I said I was testing the killer out... and had all 4 swarming me the whole match, I'd find it pretty funny.. and try out a few things with them, while they are goof around.
But that is me... I guess I'm not so sensitive about it.

Well at least the release date probably will be the 17th or 24th... a date well after the rank reset. So at least they should be playing against new people... mostly.

@SureSpear but you couldn't prevent SWF from using it.
And if you did, you are basically giving them a diversion perk for free, which makes no sense.
Solo players just need some more details on the match as it is being played.. not extra bonuses to distract the killer.

I don't get it.... What killer would want to use that when you got a bunch of kids who will troll the crap out of you in game.
It makes no sense, cause you might think people will use it in a reasonable / proper way.
Look at the audio issues that keep coming up in the game... the bugs that pop up after every update... You think that will be put in and work correctly?

They said one is coming.. but there is no date defined yet.
They probably gonna do it after release of the DLC to help out the new people.

So once SWF realize there is a penalty for using voice in game.... They go back to discord.... or use a different computer / device to use VOIP.

Killer doesn't bring in any obsession perks.. so I guess you just want to penalize the survivor no matter what... LULs
So basically asking for a passive perk slot for those survivors who take in DS, cause the killer don't want to waste any perk slot for an obsession perk.
