He barely gets more than 1 sacrifice and is still pipping, you're making a whole antagonizing statement trying to prove a point that doesn't exist, calm down. Last I checked, 1 sacrifice isn't gg for the killer point and skill wise.

Oh yeah.. cause they must 4K for it to be a GG... You do know you can white pip without even killing anyone?.... They never removed that.

If you are pipping up against the other side you can't be doing that bad. The ranking system is harder then it was... Harder then the 10K you used to have to get.... Or the killer cube of 2 kills... So how hard do players want to make it?.. so there is only 5 people in the top ranks so no one gets games in higher rank play anymore?

Geez... I would rather the op have said... I can't get even a black pip since I haven't played in a few months... Not how easy it is to rank up then complain they aren't playing against people their own skill level.

The idea of not doing well even though you barely get a sacrifice but still pipping (even a black pip) is beyond me.

    ANYWAYS......

Is there anyone else struggling with the fact that ranking is too easy? Is there even a way to go down in ranks that's not just standing around AFK-ing? I'm a pretty casual player and I just started playing after about 7 months of being away--now I keep double-pipping after matches as a survivor and pipping as a killer, even though I barely get more than one sacrifice?

I'd really love to play with/against people who are my actual skill level, not people who can run circles around me? Any advice other than git gud?

    haha nice...

"Is there a way to go down in ranks"....

"I'm a pretty casual player".... "now I keep double-pipping after matches as a survivor and pipping as a killer, even though I barely get more then one sacrifice"....

    Then this....

"I'd really love to play with / against people who are my actual skill level"...

So?.... Are you pipping or not pipping?... Cause from what I know... If you are better then the people you are playing, you'll usually rank up... So... What is the issue?.. Not playing against the EASIER opponents... AHH.... nice.. forgot.. Deranking to face easier opponents... GGs

Sure it is easy to rank up.. but if you were playing against people that are better or same skill... then wouldn't you just rank up on average and not "i keep double-pipping... etc..." ??

So play at higher ranks where you'd play against more skilled players... or play in the lower rank with lower skilled players.... Makes no sense to say you find it easy to pip up and then complain about not playing against people your own skill level...

This must be a troll or bait post.

how is this even a discussion? its againt the rules to disconnect from matches on purpose. and the devs are even support streamers who do that by making them to fog whisperes. im actually shocked.

Cause it would be better to offer the Devs what we believe might be the cause of why people intentionally derank. Rather then have discussions about bashing people that do it. I think as a whole people would like to see something done to help lessen the number of people who want to do it.

Its fine, people that are saying it should be gone are all Survivor mains

Survivors can already fight low rank Killers (EG Rank 15-20 Killers) being rank 1, by queueing with another friend that is low rank.So 3 rank 1 survivor + 1 rank 18 survivor friend will vs a Rank 20 Killer. That is BS and this has not been fixed

SWF was changed long ago to take the average rank between all players in the SWF. So 3 rank 1s + a rank 18 makes their average around rank 5. So they are actually making the game very hard for their rank 18 friend. It works this way MOST times, not saying there hasn't been the issue you've mentioned above though.

Why should i get punished to play at high rank when most of the killers are trash? and that i am forced to play competitive killers, i dont want to play Nurse everygame thank you

TBH in the high ranks I've seen a good range of killer choices. However getting up into the high ranks tend to have the most nurses.

no ranking incentive, no ranking rewards, nothing, until they added incentive for ranking there is no reason to rank up, queues are longer, games are much harder and stressful, the game just isnt fun anymore

Yee no incentives is the issue I see. There is no reason to be in the high ranks for just the "challenge" of it.

Thanks for the detailed informations, very very interesting to read that. Have you studied this?
Also, how about using AutoHotKey, would this apply aswell?

I get your asking cause of macro'ing....

There is many things EAC is watching as mentioned above. One thing they are watching is the Messaging being sent from Windows to DBD. Basically they monitor those messages to see "where" those messages are coming from.

So if you had 2 ways to perform macros... One using your mouse driver software and the other AutoHotKey.

AutoHotKey is an actual Window program that has a scripting language built in it to do whatever you programmed it to do. AutoHotKey itself probably rarely changes. EAC could monitor those changes and update itself fairly easy to keep up with it.

If you had a wiggle macro using AutoHotKey and you turned it on. AutoHotKey then sends those mouse / button presses through the Windows messaging system to DBD. EAC then see those messages in DBD and says... Where did they come from? EAC would be able to see those messages were injected by a 3rd Party app called.... "whatever".... Then it looks at the "whatever" program and marks it suspect and then tries to figure out what it is.... After awhile it could then flag it as a "hack" and bang.. banned.

Say if you used a macro through your mouse driver software for wiggle. Your mouse driver manufacture isn't going to design the app to have different ways to send windows messages based on if the button press was done through a macro or physically using the device. So when the driver sends in the wiggle presses to DBD, EAC says.. Where did those messages come from? Oh.. They came from the driver. Those are legit. Cause EAC isn't going to mark your mouse driver as suspect cause they could potentially ban 1000s of customers just for using a certain brand of mouse.

If AutoHotKey was a Java app... It would still have issues being seen cause it needs to send Window messages to DBD to facilitate the button presses of your macro. So even if someone did their own custom design of AutoHotKey, EAC would still see the messages coming from an external 3rd party program that isn't your keyboard or mouse driver. EAC would then probably start watching it and maybe even flag it as a "hack".

I hope that answers what you were looking for.

@TheBean You are honestly just clueless. You can have your opinion but if you think you can try and insult me in disagreement then that is low.
You clearly want attention, so I'm just gonna ignore you. What use is arguing with an obviously ignorant person?.

Yeah because I've learned through my maturing life, that it is better just to come out and say what you mean and be honest with people. I'm not going to hide my intention by talking out of the side of my mouth.

I seek no attention other then to tell you to be honest with your intentions towards people and try not to be deceptive. What you tried to do was very dishonest.

@TheBean and for your information you know who apologized and said she was sorry for breaking the rules. This is all old news. This thread is no longer relevant.

And @TheBean You brought this back up almost a week after this discussion had been made.

    Someone else did.

Yeah I probably ignored it like the majority back then cause it was such trash. Then I see it being brought back up and I see your responses which were even worse. You needed to be called out for such a horseshit post.

yee.. I'm the victim... Whatever you need to tell yourself to make your trash post better.

I refuse to look at the facts... awwww. Luls... Good assumptions you made there.

What does someone apologizing have to do with it?... So is that one of the nails you got to hammer in the coffin I guess? Geez.... Sad people taking score... LULS.

    One strike against YOU!.... HAHA.

Learn to look a little deeper... Maybe you'll see what the actual issue is that brought all this to ahead anyways.

@TheBean except I'm saying that if the devs came out and said something then none of this backlash wouldn't have happened. If you can't see that then maybe stop contributing to the problem.

I don't start the witch hunts cause I see through the disguise you put up. Your post is passive aggressive horseshit. Some others didn't.

You are asking the Devs to draw a line in the sand, then you'll take that line and shove back in their face because it doesn't agree with your perception of what a Fog Whisper should be. Rather then discussing the reasons why people are doing what they are doing. You want the line to push people over it and say... "Based on what you said Devs, then these people should not be on this side of the line."

It is passive aggressive. Rather then just coming out and stating your intentions.

    @AshleyWB said:
@TheBean Let me remind you that the reason this is seen as a witchhunt by 'you people' is because the devs ignored the issue. Should I be banned for saying that? Stop being so needlessly defensive and look at the actual problem.

The exact same could be directed to you. Rather then discussing the ACTUAL problem, you want the Devs to indirectly come out and say they don't agree with certain actions. Then you can take that and shove it into the Devs face and those you don't agree with. Maybe start a discussion about the ACTUAL problem of what causes the Deranking issue to exist in the first place.

  • @DwightsLifeMatters said:

I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure that renaming doesn't prevent EAC from recognising the program lol

    ... Sorry long post....

You make a program... That searches process... etc... You aren't looking for a particular signature. What sort of signature do you think you can look for?... In processes?... Now... Don't forget you'd need to scan the Java process space (this is where the tricky part would be.. detecting a java app running in the java space...)

What sort of information can you look at when you are scanning process looking for a program?

When you look at the Task Manager of Windows and see processes running... Do you see anything there that you could use to search and find a particular process without using any name? And also be the same across multiple machines running different versions of Windows.

Just changing the name, you change one of the biggest variables you have for finding a process that is running on your machine. Without the name... how are you going to know process A is "ABC APP" compared to process B? You can't look in their memory... You can pull up file details of what created the process... which... include the name of the file, etc. You might be able to generate some sort of hash based off the program itself. However, since it is Java, recompiling it would change that hash.

You could look at the types of libraries the process loads.... Then you might say... This app is loading the library that helps read network traffic. So you could mark that process as suspect. But do you know exactly what that program does?... Because you are told about a program called "MLGA" sniffs network traffic.... But you see no process by that name. You have hash that was made from the original complied program, but since the user recompiled, that hash is incorrect. Therefore you have no idea, MLGB is actually MLGA.

If you had any sort of app signature.... When that program gets recompiled because someone changed 1 line of code in the java app. Do you think the signature would be the same from the program compiled at an earlier date and time with different lines of code?....

There would be no way to consistently find the app running if the person using it had any java knowledge what so ever.

The only way EAC would have any sort of consistency on nailing MLGA, would be if MLGA wasn't Java but an actual Windows App. Also, if MLGA wasn't open sourced. Cause even recompiling the Windows App would change everything for it and make it impossible for EAC to find it.

EAC is only good if ALOT of people use the same program.

I hope this helps people understand why EAC will never be able to stop MLGA.

  • Nice witch hunt post. Love these.

Because all the safety nets and crutch perks in the game are designed around Top-Skill play, right?

Read what the OP is asking. That is what is being discussed. People shouldn't derail the conversation into some nonsense.

The post above says enough. OP doesn't like changes to lobbies cause they can't dodge as easily anymore. Wants to dodge SWF cause of the limited amount of time they have available to play each day.

I don't want the Devs to cater to those styles of players. Those that dodge the lobbies cause they can't handle the game like many many other do.

Maybe bring your perk discussion to another thread where they are actually being discussed.

  • @weirdkid5 said:
This doesn't change the fact the existence of SWF is purely a casual mechanic, you seem to have failed to ignore that point, as long as Cote himself stating this game was always balanced around solo players.

The depip squad doesn't matter to the devs because they would lose their cash cow if they actually made the game more difficult for SWF players/buffed Killers in a meaningful way. At what point do you understand that I am a Survivor player, it doesn't take being a Killer main to see the game is busted in terms of balance, with SWF being a main part of it, but other factors being the main issue overall.

If you keep using caps, you just might turn out to be right one day. You just might make the universe fold to your will if you hold shift hard enough. OP may only have one hour a day to play but that doesn't mean he's "casual" when it comes to his understanding of balance and fair play. He plays up to purple ranks, so presumably he's a least a somewhat decent Killer. But even ScottJund got demolished by the Squad, so hey, just git gud right?

Yeah I miss the point about how the whole game is casual. Yeap... missed that whole point. Missed that the 1 hour casual killer wants the Devs to cater around them... Since SWF is casual... It shouldn't be an issue then... so what is the problem?

I always love the, Since I don't agree with you, then I don't understand. LULS

I don't think you seem to understand I don't care if you play killer or survivor. I don't understand why you think what side you play has any bearing or relevance to this discussion. Why this even matters is beyond me.

I don't understand why you think I care whether some streamer wins or loses in any match.

You know what you said about CAPs. The same could be directed back to you. Keep talking about the depip squad like it matters. Maybe one day the Devs will turn around and validate it for you. I mean.... It has only been about a year now since that was done.

I don't know... I still see killers at rank 1 killing survivors all the time... Even if they are in SWF... So I guess I'm wrong because the depip squad and swf ruin the game somehow.

But oh yeah... I forgot..... You want the Devs to tank their game cause some 1 hour hard core killer players aren't having fun playing SWF and want to dodge them all the time.... Oh yeah... Sorry I forgot that.

OP comes on here to discuss better ways to dodging SWF lobbies cause they don't find them fun to play against.... Yet I don't agree with that mentality, so I don't understand.

    Give me a break weirdkid5.

  • 25 deaths on the hook each for the original 4 survivors. Not sure if DCs might count or not.

  • @DwightsLifeMatters said:

What do you mean with "No tools to detect this"? EAC is constantly checking which programs are open and what is stored in RAM or not?

Would be tough to be consistent.

Simply renaming the program would be the easiest way to bypass EAC.

It is a open sourced JAVA app aswell which is going to make it even tougher.

  • Doesn't sound like game was for you back then let alone now.

So... you had no idea SWF was part of the game soon after launch.... So you played before that?... Where pallet looping was in a major thing?.....

Weird... The timeline'ish way you describe yourself in playing this game, sounds like you barely played it.

Yeah I hope the Devs take note of your post.

Basically... "I used to play... Didn't find it fun to be beat all the time... So I quit.... Now trying it again... I still suck. Thanks Devs. My time off from the game didn't make me a better player."

  • @weirdkid5 said:
When your advice stems to "stop playing" you've missed the point entirely.

Cater to casuals? Like they already do? What are you even talking about? SWF is casual to the max, and this change is exactly catering to casuals. This game was originally and STILL is balanced around solo survivors, as there is no reasonable way for Killers to fight back against a good squad, ala the Depip Squad, whom the devs have acknowledged the balance issue from.

If you're going to make a point, at least know what you're talking about. Suddenly if you go against solos that means you want to win every single match? No? Because good solo survivors exist, you're talking to one right now.

Yeah... Comparing casuals.. LULs... Killer Casual... To SWF Survivor Casual.... Yeah good comparison.

Here we go guys... THE DEPIP SQUAD argument... Luls.... You know how much that argument means to the Devs?..... Nothing... But yet this is what poor old players still cling onto as their dying breath of SWF vs poor old killers.... HEY YOU KNOW THAT DEPIP SQUAD!.... year(s) later... still harping on the same tired argument of the shipwrecked players clinging onto their NO-SWF dingy for support.... WHEN WILL YOU HELP ME DEVS!... POOR ME AND THE DEPIP SQUAD.... sad.

Yeah... Hard to be too wrong about saying that more then half your matches will have some form of SWF in it. But yet... I guess by your argument.... YOU MIGHT JUST GET THAT DEPIP SQUAD!... So watch out survivors!!!!! THE SKY IS FALLING.

Thanks for also using my post as a spring board to boost your ego! I hope your the best!.. There I hope that strokes you a bit.

Maybe I termed the casual too wrong for you... The 1 hour casual player... to the 8 hour a day casual player....

Sorry... I didn't mention that... The op sounds like an hour a day casual player... So yeah.... I don't think they should cater to the 1 hour a day casual player.

Sorry I don't feel like stroking the OP's argument for them. I don't feel like putting my arm around them and trying to make them feel better about something that isn't going to change.

  • luls

So.... Basically the Devs need to cater around casual players is what you are saying?

You only got a little to play each day, so you want to make sure you win everytime you play since you have no time for losing any matches.

It is because of posts like this, at some point the Devs are just going to make it so you'll never see anyone in your lobby. You'll click join... and all you'll see is anonymous markers showing you others players are ready to play. Then everyone jumps in and starts with all the same info everyone else has. Which is the fairest it should be anyways.

Can't handle playing some SWF now and then, you should stop play since more then half your matches will have some form of SWF in it.

The way the lobbies are being pull together now anways, you can't really tell who is SWF just by how they enter the lobby. If you are still dodging SWF based on that info, after the lastest matchmaking.... You are certainly more frightened of SWF then you realize.

  • @Warlock_2020 said:

Agreed, it will be very difficult. That said, many players who derank are not doing it for easier games. I know I don't want easier games. I just want to play in a more casual atmosphere with other players who are not sweating each match. As for skill level, if it is obvious that I severely outskill my oponents, I tend to take it back a notch. I don't get enjoyment out of dominating strangers in a pixelated arena online. Instead, I just have fun and ensure my oponents do too. I can get tons of bp and not kill anyone. As survivor, I've often allowed a killer to catch me so he can get at least one kill.

That is the enjoyment of being in a casual setting. I'm not forced to be a sweaty try-hard azzhat to get anywhere. I just relax and enjoy. Hard to do in the red/purple ranks.

I know what you are getting at. But you are deranking for easier matches.

For example... "I don't rank up so that I can get into easier matches.".... Makes sense.

I derank so I can play in a more casual atmosphere. Which is exactly saying you want to play easier matches. You aren't deranking to play the same matches you play at rank 1. You want to chill out and have some fun and not get all sweaty. Whether your deranking to being done for malice or not is really irrelevant.

Saying it one way vs the other doesn't really make it any different. You've only worded it the way you do to make it easier to justify it to yourself.

There really isn't anything the Devs will be able to do to prevent this per say. Since you could just throw off matches to lose pips and go into the lower rank. However I hope they get some ideas to change peoples minds about deranking.

  • @Master said:
You cant control deranking. Its part of the ranking system, a necessary part.
the problem in DBD is that ranking up is not rewarding, but punishing

Oh... Thanks for that :)..... Didn't realize deranking was part of the ranking system... geez.

But someone disconnecting right after the match starts 20 times in a row.... Is that not something the Devs can try to control regardless of the number matches they play? Since with Dedicated Servers they will see that activity live and be able to respond instantly.

Sorry I forgot you are a person of little nuance.

Anyways.. What else can you add to the discussion that others have mentioned already?.. Don't forget to include all the past threads on the topic, as I don't know what people have said in those.

  • Would be nice... but what happens a year after dedicated servers.... Anytime they release anything, they will need to test to make sure P2P still works.

I doubt they will invest the time and effort into it since it won't really be beneficial except for a backup.

  • @Warlock_2020 said:
Bloodpoint rewards are not the issue for many who intentionally lose rank. For me it is the people you play amongst.....
Absolutely no reward will change that. I found the part of the community that I enjoy playing with and I intend to stay there. The rest of the wanna-be top players can be azzhats in the red and purple ranks all they want.

    ^^^^

It is these styles of players that the Devs will have the hardest to get under control for intentional deranking.

They are like water and will take the path of least resistance to make sure they get easier and more fun games, while not considering other player's fun.

In a weird way it is the Dev's fault for helping facilitate it. These players jump onto that band wagon and point the finger at the Devs rather then thinking their own actions are selfish.

It will be interesting how this issue gets tackled by the Devs. However I don't think it will happen more till the Dedicated Servers come out.

  • I like the idea of BP rewards. Like the first poster mentioned though, most would wait to the final days of reset to rank up.

What might be interesting is applying a modifier to earn bloodpoints at certain ranks..

For example... Once you get to rank 10... You start getting and extra 10 percent per match... Then increase it 10% per rank after that. Then at rank 1 you earn double BP for that match.

That way there is an incentive during the season rather just at the end.

Going as high as double BP might be too much once you get to rank 1... but they could combine an incentive like this for during the season, but make it up to a max of 50% extra BP, then add in some end season reward bonus for your final rank.

Right, I don't know what is going on here but a thread I recently started regarding two community members got taken down. I have also heard a lot of other threads have been 'disappearing'.

Can a mod please explain why these posts that arent aggressive or cause arguments are being taken down? For the darkwolf and lowbei thread I can only assume that they do not want to have people talking about members of the community that were controversial. To me it would seem as though they are trying to create an image of a perfect community if a thread could even barely be linked to a toxic community.

    Its pretty pathetic tbh :-1:

??... Controversial members?... so they delete it?

Nah.. Probably would be no different if you started making a thread about any other member, and started talking about them.

Even though nothing nasty may have been said.. Do you really want a thread made about yourself, where you couldn't respond, and others talking about you?... mmmm.. probably not.

Which is why they probably got a rule about not making threads about people in the community.

I don't understand why people think it is ok to open up a discussion about different players of the game, and think that talking behind their back is good.

Why would that be any good?... Why do you feel the need to discuss people that don't have the ability to talk back on the forums.

I personally think it is good they deleted it.. You should have gotten a warning aswell, and if you continue to do it, you should get banned.. period.

If they are streamers aswell... That prove my point even more. Since they don't want threads made about streamers since they could turn nasty. Not fair to the streamer. If people have something to say about someone, then go say it to that person.

I like all those changes myself. They've helped me out allot.

Maybe watch some Dev streams sometimes to get an idea on what they are doing?....

If there are still people who think they Devs are somehow going to balance SWF to the game they are sadly mistaken and still following a pipe dream.

Yes, that is why solo survivors have been getting buffs to match SWF info in a match, and why killers are stronger then over a year ago, and continue to get buffed.

So... Who is the toxic person?... The nurse who was just playing the game and maybe learning how to play nurse.... Or the ######### head survivors who started harassing the killer at the end because the nurse didn't play the game THEIR way?

Which is it?... Cause you make yourself look really foolish with this post.

  • Problem is....

Camping and tunneling are words defined by the community on styles of plays that can be performed during a match with a killer.

The concept of Camping and Tunneling are rules set forth from the players.

You don't like it, so you play without those made up rules.

However, there is no rule from the Devs that state... You must play by the made up rules of other players.

One thing that makes DBD fun is the freedom you have on the playstyles you want to play. We don't need to be pigeon holed into a certain vanilla playstyle that will in the end make the game boring.

The emblem system is used as the tool to mold peoples playstyles, into ones that are more fun for BOTH sides.

People should be able to play the game how they wish. If you don't like it, then change your mindset on those made-up-rules, or stop playing.

Also... The game isn't new player friendly, which I agree. But maybe you should have considered when pairing up with your friend, that it would be you, that makes it harder for them to play. Since your harder rank will make them play against harder killers.

  • Why because the killer decided to give Feng the hatch?... Maybe the killer didn't like how you played the match decide Feng was the chosen one.

Just because you weren't chosen doesn't mean you have to cry and report people for it.

Did you spend 10 minutes there with them farming you?.... Did it really ruin the match for you?... being the last 2 and LF was towering over both of you.

LF decided your fate way before you were hung. Just because he decided to let Feng go...

Would you have reported if you were let go instead?...

I know your new here but, that is the 50th post about a 2 killer 8 survivor mode

50th post in the last couple of months.

The 2v8 mode was suggested within the first week of the game's release over 2 years ago.

more often than not when playing solo the matches end up being down to 2 survivors and the killer all playing the waiting game while more often than not , nothing gets done objectively after the first three generators are finished. I believe this ruins the experience for solo players as well as killers.

If I may offer an alternative idea while still keeping the hatch. Hatch doesn’t spawn AT ALL unless ALL generators are complete. This will keep the killer and fellow survivors engaged all the way until endgame. I believe this will increase the QOL of the game , as well as force survivors to work together , and deplete the amount of hatch standoffs. Thank you.  - your friendly campfire survivor.

LULS... I like the subject of your thread.. Basically trying to say it kills both sides of the game, then present an idea geared to letting the killers win.

So.. One survivor left... 3 gens to go.. but the survivor is supposed to do all those gens without being found by the killer...LULS.

Once it gets to one survivor, the game changes and is no longer about getting gens to get out. That is why the hatch is there in the first place.

Killer don't want survivors to have a free escape, and survivors don't want killers to have a free kill.

    Another idea please.

  • So the subject of your discussion is wrong then....

    Camping Does Affect Emblem Quality

  • What is the OP talking about...

When I play killer... about 50% of the time I go out into the match with the idea of being toxic... but that is me.

  • This is why this whole thing is a dead horse... beating it over and over...

2 pages of rehashed requoted trash on these threads.

  • LOLs... This dumb argument again.... This has been beating to death.

SWF is here to stay.... There is no plans on making SWF, it's own queue.

If you don't like it.... Then don't play.

There are many, many players that have no issues playing against SWF and do well in those matches. Like they always have.

  • Probably wouldn't matter.. Since the majority of killer mains said they only used BBQ for the BP bonus, not the aura reading... So it probably would be a small handful of people doing.

Also I think they needed to make that change to lockers based on all the aura reading in the game now.. Lockers are more useful and make a bit more sense in the game.

Also... Distortion? Have you used it?.. More then a couple of matches?

You only got 3 tokens.. If the killer has nurses on.. or bitter murmur... Those tokens get used up pretty fast. Even with just BBQ, depending on your position on the map, those tokens get used up quickly.

If you just want to see if the killer even has BBQ on, you end up burning one token just to find that out.

Using distortion means also learning how to prevent the loss of tokens so you can save them for when you actually need them. This little micro managing of distortion can keep you off gens at times.

The locker changes make using distortion actually useful.

  • Crap happens.

Nah. There's an easy way and idk why so many people haven't seen it yet. Bring Solo to SWF level. Then buff the killers to combat Solo and SWF. Problem solved.

The Devs mentioned this was their plan over a year ago. That is why there has been so many buffs to solo survivors and buffs to killers. Solo players are sort of being left behind, but that is just the nature of the beast of VOIP.

  • I don't mind the idea on making it more open to other survivor actions.

However the ones you outlined seem to make to a bit too easy to get all the tokens... Basically... Any gen that is done, 5 tokens... and 3 for escaping.. you got 8 just for making it out.

Otherwise not a bad idea though.

Maybe not the speed of unhooking. Just the bp bonus.

TBH the BBQ and WGLF bonus points parts of the perk should be passive to all players anyways, they shouldn't even be a perk.

Dev stream explained once that the amount is roughly the same per hour. If survivor has a bad match he can enter directly a new one. Killer is stuck until everyone is dead or left.
So per match they vary, but per hour it's the same amount.

Not being a jerk.. but the Devs mentioned that a long time ago.

In the past, you died.. you moved on to the next match.. but allot of times now, even when you die, you are near the end of the match.

There needs to be more points awarded during the middle of the match as opposed to the bulk being at the end, making the escape. I think being chased, breaking chases should be worth more.

As a survivor, even with WGLF, I have a harder time getting the same amount of BP I can earn playing a couple of killer rounds.

It is so much easier to earn points as a killer, compared to survivor where you are sometimes competing for the same points. There is only so many totems, so many generators, so many chests.

Edit: As to the OP's suggestion. I don't like it. Survivors already have it harder getting points, making it harder will push more people to killer and make queues even longer.

    Two words: Gen tapping.

Not bashing you, but there is a difference between the one you speak of and the unspoken one. Gen Tapping has been accepted by the Developers.

You can not compare exploits that the Developers acknowledged and accepted to new exploits that arise from new mechanics that the Developers have not acknowledged or accepted.

Basically we need to get the Developers to release an official word on this issue.

  • Dear Santa;

    Perhaps you could tell the OP that there might be a better way to frame the subject line. Maybe something like this;

"Do you consider, breaking chase to allow Deep Wounds to tick down while being followed by The Legion, an exploit?"

Since walking backwards in general is a normal action in Dead By Daylight, and in on itself would not be considered an exploit. Thus the OP is already misleading and biasing the discussion before it even begins.

    Thanks

    Timmy

    P.S.

However one issue people could bring up is... Do they consider The Pig following a survivor while crouched, so the timer can keep ticking down, a bad exploit.

Do they consider any Killer following a survivor with the Deep Wound effect, with Borrowed Time, the same as when the Legion does it?

I personally feel that The Legion breaking the chase to keep Deep Wounds active is a bad exploit that should be addressed by the Devs.

I also believe that in doing this they need to look at these other variations of the same exploit to make it fair and even across the board.

Perhaps just changing how Deep Wound functions might be the trick to resolving it rather then reworking a bunch of chase stuff.

  • Probably won't see leaderboards or anything until dedicated servers are out.

Then they can take allot more stats per match to make it more accurate.

I personally hope they never put in leaderboards though.. or the tryhards are gonna ruin the game.

Wrong, EAC has said they don't actively scan for it but if their system detects it and bans you for it it's not going to be overturned. So in fact you can and will be banned for it and thus the devs won't unban you.

Saying EAC said it's safe is nonsense since what they said is what I typed that they don't actively scan for it but if it's flagged you get banned. Which means it's not allowed in DBSD if you get banned for it so stop trying to squirm your way in with it.

Now to put the proverbial technical nail in your logical fallacies argument here.since for it to work when dedicated servers come out it'd have to bypass how the servers handle data. Since the servers won't be transmitting user data with the type of info it needs it won't work.

So since it won't have access to the type of data it needs it can't work unless it's modified in such a way that it becomes a hack or it attempts to hatch the servers. If it becomes workable on dedicated servers those using it will thus be banned either by EAC or BHVR pretty much instantly.

This is a really bad post. I know you were trying to make some points about EAC and MLGA... but your post is really bad from someone who has some programming knowledge.

EAC can't really do anything about MLGA.. cause... MLGA isn't modifying any protected memory or anything for the game. All MLGA does is read network traffic, which Windows is doing at the same time.

MLGA is also a Java app. So unless EAC can scan JAVA's memory to see MLGA is running.. MLGA isn't violating anything. Thus... EAC can't ban for it. Even if they wanted to.

There would be no way MLGA could be modified to get information from the dedicated servers unless BHVR was completely negligent and opened it up for hackers which I highly doubt.

Once dedicated servers come into play... MLGA goes out the window.

  • hmm... Why did MLGA even come up in the post.. You can block in steam... Game starts... Check the players... See the killer is blocked... DC. MLGA doesn't even enter into the picture.

However.. MLGA's life is coming to and end. Once the dedicated servers are put in... MLGA will be useless.

Bringing up discussions about banning... blacklisting.. or whatever against MLGA is mute. Stop wasting people's time.

  • Yeah its weird how the notifications work.. they actually screw the higher tiers of this perk. Sort of like the ranges with Spine Chill. I think Spine Chill is better at rank 1 then rank 3.

  • It doesn't... When the winter event starts and the new menu comes up... Forget it... No more chatting is allowed unless you learn to squint all the time.

The Devs don't want you to read chat...

White Text with Snow in the background... GGS

Been like this every year they've done this and still haven't figured that it can be annoying.
