In my mind.. if they fixed just one thing...
Change the daily for survivor ... where you need to open a gate as a specific survivor.... make it at least 60K... 30K is too little for the hardest daily in the game.
Even mori a survivor is easier than this and it is worth 60K.

Nope couldn't find it...

That’s not it. You want it to be to prove this ruin nerf has cost the game killer players, but it’s been like this since way before the ruin nerf. Nice try though.

Reminds me of when I touch a gen and see Ruin...

This is what happens to survivors when gens get slowed down...

Matchmaking not bugged. Simple, not enough killers to go around.

Maybe 2 or 3 will stop for a huff and puff... but then they will be back after a week or so.
At first they will be like...
Then in a week they will be back and be like...
Then survivors will ######### slap them like...
Cause they still suck
-
Yes I'm Happy!!
-
Been like this since they released the last version of Match Making... It is staying like this, cause they gonna scrap what was done and redo it again.
Be happy if you aren't waiting 20 minutes for a queue.
-
wwwwhhooaaaat?
The charms are kind of pointless... you can't really see them on survivors. And over time the charm pool will become too over crowded really to mean anything.
But how was it a chore to get to level 70 rift?.. You get there by just playing the game.
--
I didn't spend my cells.. I'm gonna buy it once, like I did and use that same thousand cells for every rift. That will reduce the cost of every cosmetic with every new rift that comes out. Big brain play there.
--
You telling me you don't like that Clown cosmetic?... At least you can get the head on the free part of the rift. I can't wait to dangle that in front of meg... she's gonna like the size of my new trunk.

They won't be making any jokes about it because the last time a joke was made killer mains went ape over being told to play civ.

If you read that post it's 90% people pointing out how the reasoning peanits gave is utter nonsense, and since it's an older it doesn't say how they're feeling about it NOW after the backlash
Doesn't matter what those posts are about really. Peanits gave their reasoning, people didn't like it. Doesn't matter if those 90% of those people think it is nonsense, since it was the reasoning BHVR used.

From my experience... I find you usually get a low tier and a high tier perk, but it can be random.
So if I find BBQ.... I will usually then start grabbing the higher tier perks in the web first before grabbing new ones, cause I find that sometimes causes the higher tier version of BBQ to come up.
Sometimes that works... but I've had times when I keep just getting all tier one perks if I upgrade most perks to their higher tier.
But until you get that tier one.. it is pretty random.

Curious as to why you would hide your rank in the top right of the screen but then show the results screen that has your rank on it...lol. But the only thing you need to do as survivor is get a few gens done, save a few people and escape and you'll easily double pip.
That was funny...

Survivor is meant to be easy.

I'm actually surprised this game doesn't have a replay system in it. Their bug hunting would go through the roof if they could simply pull up a match and seen what happened.

Have you ever created a poll on forums and simply ask players if we agree with Ruin changes or not?
Do you EVER listen to us when we have something to complain about? If 70-75% of the people DISAGREE with the new Ruin are you still gonna implement it?
What is the PTB for if you blindly ignore the suggestions and the people's voices and you still push the changes as they are?
You've created a survey, why did you not include ANY questions if we like the new ruin or not? WHY?
Why are your answers so shady and dimmed and you don't have the courage to step up and actually say something productive rather than some boring yawn stuff which, with us, will never work out?
And btw, I am not a baby crying killer, I am a red-rank Survivor main and with this change, I can't wait to absolutely DESTROY every killer that stands in my way and gen-rush the heck outta him! What will this lead to? Longer queue times because nobody will want to play killer anymore which will go to slowly killing this game. And don't you dare revert to the changes to bring players back, cause they won't come back, knowing your shady past!
Sad, I've spent money on every single DLC to see a game destroyed by its own developers who have ears covered and refuse to listen to the majority of the players...
Oh, and I've seen the video with your colleagues getting destroyed by Monty, those are 4 of the 15 people you reffered to as people who have internally tested Ruin and found out the changes are good. Yeah, speaks for itself.
I'd kindly want you Almo to play a match as a red-rank killer with one of the weakest killers in the game against a 4 man SWF all red-ranks with 4 toolboxes and tell me your result with the new ruin. You will not stand A CHANCE. The amount of bully you will take will be immersive.
And this is something KILLERS do NOT want! This is why I rarely play as a killer, it's so weak it's hilarious...
GAH!
Such a mean post... You sure you aren't a killer main? :)
If you play at rank 1 survivor, then how much does ruin actually affect you? Do you just plow through ruin or go looking for the totem? If you just plow through it, then you see why the Ruin change doesn't affect you. If you go looking for the totem... Well you can still do that, once you touch a gen for a second, and stop you'll see if they have Ruin. So.. basically nothing changes for you as survivor.
You rarely play killer... So why does it matter? Just for the odd time you do?
BOOYAH!!!

People should look at it differently...
Maybe the Devs want to see how things go in Live.
Maybe there is other ideas they have to go along with the Ruin change, but are holding back to see how the first change goes.

A new Ruin perk is coming in a few weeks. It should make things easier.

lul the survivors made 3genned themselves, how dare you protect the last? ######### lmao
Yeah so finish the match... Either the survivors will give up.. or the killer kills them... or the survivors get the last gen. Better than just staring at one another. The killer has to swing sometime... best to do it while there is a survivor close by infront of them.

Then hope a survivor doesn't start recording and then decides to report you for taking the match hostage.

So what your saying is, if the survivors don't mindfully acknowledge which gens THEY THEMSELVES are completing, and end up on a 3 gen-strat. It then turns to the killer to either leave the gens and let it be completed or they face a potential ban?
Can you see the hypocrisy in the situation? How it falls upon the killer to rectify the situation, when in reality, its the survivors who have not only caused a situation like this to occur, but more importantly, when this situation arises, the killer is on the defensive and must let the survivors win out of fear of a ban, losing all sense of 'power' they are meant to have.
No, in a situation like this it is the survivors fault to have 3 genned themselves, and they must go with the consequences of that being that the final gen being hard to complete, rather than "oh we've 3 genned ourselves, lets make this game go on a bit longer than normal and get the killer banned".
Don't read too much into as this is only a game. I look at it like this...
If there are survivors are constantly trying to get one of those gens done, they most likely are trying and don't care how long it is taking. Eventually they get bolder and bolder, till they just give up and let you kill them. They don't want to waste 20 minutes getting the final gen.
If they go afk?... then why not just go over and kill them?
It isn't worth the time, no matter how badly you want the win.
Killers can bait the survivors over to work on a gen and try to catch them in the process.
Just finish the match and stop worrying about the little stuff.

Of course it is the killer's responsibility to move the game forward 🙄. If the survivors didn't want to 3 gen themselves then they should've played better. If I'm the killer here I'm not committing to a chase just so they can finish the gens.
Yeah but you can't sit there for an hour doing that. Sad fact.
After 20 minutes it is time to finish the match. If you couldn't get those survivors in the 20 minutes, sitting on those gens for another 20 minutes most likely won't change that.

So new ruin should help later in the game? But with it still being a hex, it will not only not be useless early game as you describe, but more often than not it won't be around late game at all!
And surely by stating killers aren't supposed to protect early gens, its promoting 3 gen-strats, which im sure you've also previously stated is something the devs didnt want to happen. (as this is actually a bannable offence). And if you say you don't promote 3 gen-strats in this way, then your simply advocating for the killer to lose as certain maps have become so big, killers that lack mobility simply can't traverse the distances without a generator being completed.
In addition, games will go by much faster, giving less time for the killers to actually earn the other 3 emblems they are to focus on. Making the game as a whole harder as killers have the same stuff to do, with a lot less time to do it.
This change to hex:ruin with no compensation to the generators themselves is ludicrous. As it shows, once again, that the devs have sided with "making survivors lives easier" whilst simultaneously making killers jobs that much harder, with no consideration given on how this would positively effect killer gameplay!
Actually the 3 gen strategy itself, isn't bannable.
It becomes bannable when no action is being taken on the killers side to push the game forward, as in just sitting on the gens not committing to any chases to finish the match. Equally problematic would be if the survivors decided to all sit on the other side of the map not trying to work on the gens. However I think this falls mostly on the killer, since they need to kill survivors to finish the match, where the survivors end up becoming helpless and give up.
Eventually someone has to do something.

3 problems with this post.
1. Even if the gate keeper points are changed, gens still get done too quick. You say killer's power grows as gens are done and the first few are expected to go quick. You are assuming easy chases here. If a survivor is half good at looping this leaves three others to hammer out gens. Unless you tunnel and kill one survivor straight away there is no way for killer to win.
2. You say ruin was too passive and required no killer action. What about DS and borrowed time? These perks require zero skill on the survivor part and encourage reckless play by survivors. Where is the fairness?
3. The most important point: what is the purpose of a PTB if you don't care about the feedback? This is twice now you have said the team expected outrage and are going through anyway. That does not come across as confidence, it seems arrogant.
I'll give these a shot..
- How is any different than now. High ranks have that issue as killer, ruin didn't prevent it.
- Perks for each side aren't a tit4tat situation. Ruin doesn't translate to DS and Borrow Time...In fact the 2 survivor perks you've mentioned have had changes several times over the years. How killer "mains" forget.
- I think the PTB was more about the Doctor changes. They did listen to feedback, as they probably are changing the cooldown from doing the blast to when you can hit.

His comment only proves how clueless and separeted from reality the devs are. They have absolutely NO idea what they are doing and how their game works.
Nobody will even bother cleansing ruin because the new ruin is pure trash. A waste of perk slot. Not to mention, it conflicts with other perks like Pop goes the Weasel or Overcharge. You can't use those perks because the generators are already regresing.
"What we wanted to do was not "make it easy for new players"- but that is exactly what you did. Again, you have no idea what you are doing and ignore the consequences.
And by saying "make it less frustrating for new players" you prove that you are incompetent and don't know how any multiplayer game works. When you are a newbie, in any game, you will struggle at the beginning because you only started to learn how to play the game.
It's obvious that they just care for newbie survivors (the majority) who always get what they want if they yell loud enough. They are just afraid of being review-bombed by angry survivors who are unable to comprehend that all you have to do is find the totem (usually takes 1-2 minutes because of laughable totem placement) and destroy it.
Go ahead, nerf killers and their perks and soon survivors will cry because they have to wait 15-20 min to find a game. And when they do, developers will add killer Bots and finally the game will be perfectly balanced for survivors, gg behaviour, keep it up.
Seriously.... Last Year is way better then this scooby-doo bullshit.
Did you know Last Year has about 50 people playing it. Have fun.
@MigrantTheGreat said:
All I hear is "new player's this new player's that" When are y'all gonna address your veteran player's? Veteran player's have helped the game grow, and if veteran player's quit, new players will quit with them, or they'll quit because they have no one to show them the ropes and long queue times.
Secondly, it' seems that killer's are no longer part of y'all concern. Killer's are player's too and since y'all are nerfing Ruin without looking into why it's being used so much, y'all are better off making AI killer's since we seem invisible to y'all
It doesn't affect those veteran players.... Veteran players probably don't care, since if they play both sides, which most veteran players do, they know both sides get nerf'ed. It isn't survivor vs killer when it comes to nerfs.
Also those veteran players who are high rank used to go on how ruin is destroyed so fast, or skilled survivors just burn through Ruin without taking out the totem, so it was pretty much useless in the terms of countering a gen rush.
So what is the issue?
I'd post my favourite meme at the moment, but I'll get some salty reports for it :P
So I'll put this one instead...

Me playing killer...
-
Here I'll help!
-
See you next week!
-
One good buff would be if it made a poop/wet fart sound when exiting their tunnels.
-
I didn't get to tag this thread... Must of missed it.
Don't worry when you decide to start playing again in a week or two, you'll get better when you practice more.
-
You don't need to worry about screenshots.. the chat logs are sent in with the report. You have to do the report at the end summary when the match is over. Every report requires it.
-
I think this post... Pre-questioned to being trolled.
-
Maybe double the points for it... I still love that perk.. Idc about Ruin.

It has been proven by people like true that if you don't 4k your most likely going to safety even with 4 gens left as that probably means it was a quick game with not a lot of hits so you would need a 4k to pip from that point
ehh well if you want to get rank 1 you need to try hard most times to rank up. I don't really care myself as that isn't where i want to get.
But there are better characters than others for getting to rank 1 killer... so more weak players should choose the better suited killers, such as billy, freddy....
I don't mind True though... I've enjoyed watching his stream when I've watched.
Look how cutie it is!

Ok cutie, you clearly haven't gone against a hostage killer if you think that 3genning only happens if the survivors don't spread their gens out. And secondly, the new Ruin actually encourages that kind of gameplay, which is my entire issue with it.
And well, I didnt really think you deserved anymore than snarky sarcasm from what I've seen you post, but I gotta be nicer to you or I'll be banned, so kisskiss <3
The Doctor killer itself... That whole character encourages that play.
I have been on both side of that coin. It really all boils down to a key word you said...
"hostage".... which is part of "taking a match hostage"
--
Eventually the killer has to make a play. They can't just sit there no matter how much they want to... sit there for 30 minutes defending those gens. They can... But eventually, a survivor could start recording the match, and report the killer for taking the match hostage.
--
There isn't anything wrong with a 3 gen hostage match.. but the killer has to make a move eventually if the survivors are trying to bait them away. I know it is a hot debated subject in that the killer is just trying to win, doing their objective.... but if the killer won't get off those gens to start ending the match, then they can be seen as taking the match hostage. There is limits to a 3 gen hostage match.
