That simply is not true. The skill ceiling for survivors is a huge difference between people who can loop a killer for 5 gens and those who go down within a few seconds of being found. The majority of survivors can't do that in my experience, not even close. And most of the things I complain about are camping and tunneling, which shouldn't be a thing in this game to begin with and that is not an opinion original with me. A lot of survivors agree those actions are terribly unfair for survivors.
1. No Survivor should even be able to loop for more than 2 gens max, that's just bad map design, or the Killer got absolutely screwed by SBMM
2. If the Survivors in your team can't loop the Killer for more than 10 seconds, you're either on their level or SBMM broke
3. Camping and tunneling are necessary in current meta. There's no difference between tunneling and doing gen-rushing. It's just doing your objective quickly, tho tunneling can be stopped by Perks and teamwork while gen-rushing (like, real, no saves, no heals, no nothing) can't. Camping, or better said, strategical camping, is not toxic. If the Killer has nowhere better to go, why should he just leave the hook because it's "unfun"

Because you think anything I say is a bias opinion rather than feedback based on my experience. I want the game to be fair and believe that it currently is not fair for survivors. I do believe a lot of changes need to be made. Most survivors aren't professional killer runners in this game.
That just proves my point. You're having bad matches, either due to your own skill or SBMM just decided you're not having fun today and then make posts complaining. My Survivor matches, tho extremely boring, are won in a couple of minutes with 2-6 hooks, which happens like 90% of the time, SoloQ aswell. Most people can agree that Survivor is the power role, unless the Killer is Nurse or Blight, which are the only Killers that can play against a good SWF.
To your point about running Killers. How hard is it? You're running around a Pallet a few times and then drop it or ShiftW because the Killer mindgame'd themselves. The skill ceiling for Survivor is extremely low, even Killer is pretty easy

We've all been there

You're mistaking fair opinions and suggestions as biasness. That is you being bias by the way.
I've never seen an objective, non biased opinion from you. Either crying for unnecessary Killer Perk nerfs or unnecessary Survivor buffs
-
Well, it's not a wrong assumption, Sprint Burst will definitely be used more often if Dead Hard were to be nerfed, until people realize that Overcome is still better if used properly

Just a friendly reminder that tunneling is in fact toxic and is ruining this game for many survivors. I can't imagine any who are ok with this are in the majority. Saying there is nothing wrong with it proves ignorance on the subject and a severe biasness. I have seen so many people mention tunneling as a reason they either hate this game or simply don't want to play it anymore. It has to stop. It needs to stop. Something has to be done about this.
Aren't all your posts biased in the Survivors favor? Kind of a weird thing for you to say
-
Lethal Pig existed, but got nerfed
-
Because subjective fun is more important than objective balance in this game
-
They waste the Killer's time, that their perfect, not annoying purpose
-
Best: Halloween is the best licensed chapter to date, as for an original chapter, it'd have to be Descend Beyond, great Killer, great Perks on both sides and great Survivor
Worst: There's no competition, Resident Evil was the worst chapter ever, not even Binding Of Kin comes close. It made the game unplayable for all old gen console players and lower end PC's
-
Git gud and stop trying to get weak Killers nerfed, even tho they've already been nerfed

Fair enough

No

The community always overreact. You can't just stand still like a goof and call it a mInDgAmE anymore and all of a sudden Spirit is dead and the devs have killed the game yadda yadda yadda.
Nothing really new in that department.

That combo is orders of magnitude better than old Stridor Spirit.
Well duh, that's why it's Stridor Spirit 2.0

I wouldn't even call her add on dependent at all, she just has add ons that are bandaid fixes for people who don't want to learn her, which is the MDR and DCB.
Let's keep things between us, don't tell anyone about MDR and DCB, okay? We don't need Stridor Spirit 2.0
-
She's still good, but you can't win 100% of the time against SWF's, unless you use her best Add-ons, so that makes her Add-on dependant, atleast that's why I think most Spirit mains left. Most people who played Spirit but left were probably players who wanted to win but didn't want to put any effort into winning
-
I get it, Dead Hard is busted and annoying, but insulting people for using it? Nah

Yeah but do you ignore the person with SB on a gen about to finish, meanwhile you have a pop stack to use?
A person with DH would never commit to a gen in the middle of nothing because they can’t get away. Because essentially what is happening is they are being out positioned but this perk (SB) allows them to play unsafe.
So in theory it comes down to where the survivor is and timing (how fast you can catch up to them) as to whether a killer should commit to a SB survivor or not.
1. It depends. If you know for a fact a long chase with a Sprint Burst isn't going to lose you the game, you take it. Seeing as, in your example, you have PGTW active, it means a Survivor is on a hook and another one has to go for the save. In that moment, 3 Survivors would be off of gens (hooked one, unhooker and the Sprint Burst user) which is a prime time to go chase someone using Sprint Burst.
2. Yes, Sprint Burst allows Survivors to play unsafe, which Dead Hard doesn't allow, however, sometimes it's needed to give up gens as Killer. If you have to give up a Generator that's in a dead zone due to a Sprint Burst user constantly trying to work on it, do it.
3. Yeah, but the state of the game also matters, as a long chase in an already losing game is going to ruin it even further

Ah. He had one crow.
How was he avoiding these? He was basically doing nothing but hiding on the upper floor of the main structure, going in and out of lockers and maybe occasionally vaulting to avoid me when I was looking for him.
I've seen the thing with the box before.
Don't ask me, I never get crows
-
The afk crows only start emitting Loud Noise Notifications once there are atleast 2 birds I believe. The rest however might be either bugs or hacks

The Xenomorph + Ellen Ripley

You play Huntress, or any other Killer that focuses on an ok chase and zero map pressure, oh wait, there's Trickster

So, I play on PS5. I turned my messages off the first week I played the game, when a fellow survivor sent me a message telling me to off myself and other choice words after I didn't rush the hook to save them against a Basement-camping Bubba. I'm too old and with too many things to worry about in real life to waste time with people like that, and I'm grateful there's no post-game chat for me to see.
I played a match last night as Pig, playing perkless with common add-ons for a viewer who redeemed their channel points on Twitch. It was a fairly normal game -- I hooked everyone once and had multiple people on death hook when the last gen popped. A Claudette inexplicably died to a RBT (I don't even remember seeing her after she'd been hooked -- she must have done things with an active trap she shouldn't have and been unlucky in her box search). While chasing the Meg (on her death hook), I lost her but came across the Mikaela (also on death hook). After chasing the Mikaela down and finishing her off, the other two survivors got the gate open and left. I felt pretty good getting a 2K all things considered.
A little while later, I noticed that I'd gotten a friend request on my PS app. After checking usernames, I realized it was from the Mikaela.
Knowing that the only way someone can message me is if they're a "friend", I immediately thought the friend request had to be one of two things:
A: This survivor wanted to message me a GG, especially in light of my performance perkless with a perceived weak killer
B: This survivor (who had died) wanted to complain about something I'd done and/or worse
I re-watched the VOD of the match. I already knew I hadn't tunneled, hadn't camped (the closest thing to the latter was when the Mikaela was on 2nd hook between two gens with one gen left to be done -- I kicked both of them and broke a pallet before I headed off to the other end of the map). I played as "fair" as humanly possible in the match, so there was no conceivable reason I should expect I'd be getting some salt.
I thought about accepting the friend request -- and then quietly deleted it. I just assumed I was opening myself up for scenario "B" instead of "A", even though there should have been no reason to expect it.
I don't know if that says more about my pessimism about how people behave (either in-game or in real life) or about the perceived toxicity of the DBD community. In either case, it makes me disappointed. (And before anyone says anything, this isn't a "Killer vs. Survivor" thing, as I've ignored friend requests from killers I've gone against before for the same pessimistic reasons). I want to believe that the bad seeds in the community are the exception, not the rule (especially during a holiday time of year). It's difficult to do so, though. 😥
It was 100% scenario B

Hello. Now that I got your attention, how is your day going? are you having good matches as killer or survivor? are you celebrating Christmas if not what are you doing for the holidays? Also what killer and survivor perk are you enjoying using.
Thank you and have a great day :)
My day is going pretty well, I played a couple Survivor matches today and I'm not going to have that big of a Christmas celebration, just family stuff. Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance has been really nice and, as always, Kindred is amazing. How's your day going, friend?

I'm 50/50 on this. On one hand I agree, but on the other hand, you shouldn't be punished for playing to win. You shouldn't have to throw every game to have fun

Couldn't a survivor just start the chase with their SB 99'd?
EDIT: To be fair, I manage to 99 Sprint Burst mid-chase fairly regularly. Especially on maps with a lot of debris pallets.
That goes back to my point where the killer can just ignore the person using Sprint Burst and focus on other Survivors as long as it doesn't lose them the game. 99'd your Sprint Burst means the Killer chased you for way too long, which is a mistake on the Killers part, not a problem with Sprint Burst
-
@OnryosTapeRentals said:

But surely a survivor with a 99'd Sprint Burst does the exact same thing? Extends the chase when it otherwise would've been over...
You're not going to 99 your Sprint Burst mid chase if the Killer is playing well
-
Well, just because CoH is busted and the other ones aren't doesn't mean that the whole Boon system isn't flawed. There's no counterplay to Boons, aside from Exponential, as snuffing them doesn't really do much

Maybe they could buff her in other ways? Idk. It just doesn’t feel good when things like that happen.
I mean, it's counterable so I don't see the need for a nerf
-
@IronKnight55 said:
Blight’s addons are the problem, not his basekit. Artist? I feel like she shouldn’t be able to injure survivors at loops without being swarmed. It can put survivors in lose/lose situations. I feel like a slight nerf is needed,
So she'd be a weaker Nemesis? Hell no

I don't think it takes any significant level of skill to 99 exhaustion and use SB tactically. My friends who have less than 100 hours in the game have already gotten the hang of it.
The big difference between Sprint Burst and Dead Hard is Sprint Burst denies chases, while Dead Hard extends them. If you see a Sprint Burst, you can just ignore that Survivor and focus on everyone else. Dead Hard extends chases when they're almost over, usually restarting the chase entirely, which means everything the Killer did was a waste of time

You press it once

Are Sprint Burst, Balanced Landing, Lithe, etc also problematic because they grant free distance? In fact much more distance than Dead Hard.
Balanced Landing requires an elevation, Sprint Burst requires good management of the exhaustion to be useful, Lithe requires a Window etc. All of these require either resources, or skillful play, unlike Dead Hard, which is a simple button prompt for free distance and invincibility
-
Stop the Lightborn hate, it's a mediocre Perk that barely does anything other than forcing the Survivors to play less aggressive

Mmm, indeed.
I took 104 games worth of stats about the average number of totems cleansed.
All 5 totems got done 5 times.
It's not always necessary to cleanse Totems to counter NOED, just memorizing their position can work aswell. That's how I deal with NOED, 50% Totems cleaned and other 50% Totem location memorized

Guess you're just better than me.
I don't think that's it, it probably has to do with Totems being so badly hidden that even SoloQ teammates can find them
-
Can we stop the Artist hate train? Fun is subjective and should NEVER be used for objective balance
-
I've seen her once since the nerf

I'm glad it's gone tbh

I've never had porblems with NOED, it either never activated, or the Killer got 1 down and it got cleansed

How one-sided if you think the rest are balanced but NOED isn't.
I mean, I've made posts about how to buff Survivors but you do you ig

I love Demogorgon (duh) Mommy and Billy. I've got the chance to go against 2 Billies today, one after the another aswell. One was terrifyingly good, but didn't tunnel or camp so it went by pretty quickly and we all escaped, and the other one was about as good as me. Still fun tho

As I've stated multiple times, NOED is fine. The rest of the changes are cool

If they can't fix the validation issues, remove the i-frames. It should be a dodge, not a defacto third health state.

Distance is annoying, but it's more annoying when it futzes with powers or gives you fake hits that cause you to lose survivors.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2712070#Comment_2712070
120s imho.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2712063#Comment_2712063
No it isn't. It was arguably overpowered before the 'fix' (see: buff) and now it's so omnipresent that you almost never don't see it. If BHVR cannot fix the validation issues, then it's going to need to be balanced around them.
DH and CoH are the two abilities that basically every Fog Whisperer and honest player agrees are problematic right now.
I've never lost a Survivor due to the fake blood splatter. The distance is the most annoying thing in the world, as it's uncounterable
-
The free distance is the porblematic thing about Dead Hard. Either add an actual requirement, or remove the distance entirely

yes I agree, that is normal to do so, but it is also very situational, in some maps, like the cornfields or Midwitch Elementary you can't really hide behind large objects, and also it depends on the occasion and place you are caught in. Staying next to large objects or moving left and right, that is the basics, but it doesn't prove anything, you do those actions for all killers, every killer has his own special power, and you acclimate yourself to that power, so we still come back to my point, that this guy is overtuned and highly overtuned, yes you can hide behind large objects, but knives aren't his only weapon, a killer is faster than a survivor unless it is the Nurse. So he will just run you down after hitting you with 5 knives (which are an absolute guarantee) and I don't care if you are good or bad, for instense I am average at the game I have difficulties with a lot of killers, and others that I counter with ease, but I have friends who play this game since it is out, and even they are having a bad time against him, all I am saying here man, is to nerf him, because he has too much power, 40 knives (including his bouncing add-on) and his weapon plus normal killer speed, count in some perks and done. What I am saying is to nerf his cooldown, stun him after some thrown knives, decrease his speed when he is throwing knives, The Huntress, since she is always compared to him, her move speed is reduced when she aims the hatchet, The Deathslinger too. I am not crying about a killer without reason, I am stating what countless others said before and will keep saying, as well as bringing to the table solid evidence and options on how to fix them.
Your math is completely off. If you're going to ask for unnecessary, useless nerfs, atleast get your numbers right
