I'll take being alive at the end of next year, another 10K posts is pushing it lmao
Fair enough lol

10k posts on the 31st of December, maybe another 10k by the end of the next year?

when surviviors punished for loop, killers have to be punish for camp...
What? What does looping have to do with camping?

Thats more of a balance problem. When there is only a handful of killers that can consistently do good at mid to higher end games.
I know, but getting 1 Killer 5 times in a row sucks

Well then he's got bad 1v4 and bad 1v1, sounds balanced to me!
Deathslinger moment

The aim dressing is the most annoying thing in the entire game. Forget about Dead Hard, CoH, Sprint Burst etc., when you miss a hit because the game decided to take control of your swing and miss and the Survivor makes it to another loop, I feel like never playing DbD for the rest of the year

I am not arguing that. I'm just saying it's not impossible to play him its just not worth the effort to play him. I'll stick to playing huntress
Huntress is cool, it's annoying when you get 5 of them in a row but that never happens

I slap on nurse on ps5 Trickster is way harder. I honestly only played 10 games with her and I was doing extremely well I hit most my blinks. Now I'm not saying I've mastered her not even close but I picked her up quickly.
Trickster with a controller is the hardest Killer to play
-
@tenoresax said:
Hmm... This killer has some of, if not the worst 1v4 potential in the game...
Yeah, better nerf his 1v1 just to balance that out.
Trickster doesn't even have a good 1v1 to begin with
-
Why are we complaining about Nemesis of all Killers?

Its not impossible but is definitely more difficulty then it's worth to play him.
Playing Trickster with a controller is as hard as playing Nurse, change my mind
-
I love Mommy
-
If you're wanting to play Trickster on controller, give up, it's not possible to play Trickster with a controller. Trickster is a really weak Killer, just stick to loops with high walls and you should be invincible for a while

He's dead

i don't want to quit. i really enjoy the game and i play for fun. But those things are really make me angry.
I don't want people to let me win or i'm not crying for losing. This is different.
As a person and a player i believe that respect is needed to your opponent. Else the good people will quit and only the sh1t will stay.
There's nothing a player can do to avoid getting mocked, sadly. You can't force people to respect each other. No matter what you do, someone will find a reason to start talking crap

They're not going to have a game if they don't fix the health of the game. The game health has gotten so bad.
You're telling me the health of the game is garbage? It's been going downhill for a while now
-
Welcome to the Fog! It's always nice to see new faces. The game can, and will be very toxic sometimes. If you can't deal with it, this might not be the game for you. I'm not trying to be mean but that's how DbD is sometimes. There are really nice people out there but they're a very rare species
-
Badham and Brokenfield might be worse, but not by much
-
They can't ignore chapters, it's their main source of income but I do agree that they need to focus on game health

I know it is scummy thing to do but if someone is being rude for no reason you can even report words like "kill" even if it is meant as something that happened in the game.
That seems like overkill imo

It is really easy. Just highlight the part of the message and press start. Then report.
That's it.
As I've stated, I haven't gotten the juicy, salty stuff, but will definitely report it if I get it

The funny thing is with undying people said it took to long to do bones. Looking at boons now it doesn't seem like it woulda been that bad if people adapted.
There's a difference between booning the same Totem 8 times and looking for 5 different Totems which happened like 3% of the time like smh the Killer community is to toxic

Just report them. If it is nasty enough you can get them banned.
Edit: also, report every message individually for extra effect lmao.
I'm too lazy tbh, I'd rather forget about it and continue playing, but I've also never gotten nasty stuff, just the usual "baby Killer"

It was overrepresented before the 'fix'. Now it's omnipresent.

Especially when people use it to bypass traps or cause Nemmy's tentacle to miss them and fail to break pallets (Demo's shred has the exact same problem).
When one perk is so common that you basically have to play as if everyone had it at all times, that perk probably needs a tweak (prenerf DS and current CoH are also good examples). I can't think of a single other killer perk that has ever been as common as DH is.
Pre-nerf Undying was pretty much everywhere
-
I have 1 question, how did you manage to play so many Killer games without ripling your hair out? If you tell me your strategy, I'll start doing these myself
Other than that, great numbers and it's quite funny how there were as many escapes as Dead Hards
If you ever decide to do such an experiment again, be sure to add Hooks and your definition of tunneling/camping, as I'm pretty that most people have different definitions for these tactics. Also, maybe include how Survivors got sacrificed, either due to camping/tunneling or "normal" gameplay, like randomly finding them after they got unhooked or leaving them be and actively trying to avoid them until you've already hooked someone else
-
Whenever I get salty messages on PSN, I respond with "lmao". Don't know if that'd work on players who get salty in end game chat but it certainly shuts my players up

What I want to know is why BHVR thought that map, of all maps, needed five variants.
Dunno but it's annoying as hell getting this map every like 6 games
-
@StarLost said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/302343/what-maps-should-be-removed-reworked
Eyrie - the density of strong gyms is too high and the hooks on the rear area of the map are too sparse. A single sabo can create a complete deadzone. There is an 'unpickup-able' spot in the main structure.
Asylum - There is an 'unpickup-able' spot in the main structure involving the lockers. Remove dual locker spawns.
Haddonfield - too much to even really go into.
RPD - miserable for both killer and survivor. Split it into two or increase hook density for starters.
Swamp maps - remove logs from the sides of the map, increase hook density. Remove the 'pog log' spawn from in front of the main structure, as this causes a pseudo infinite.
Badham - increase hook density, remove some windows from certain structures.
DDS - remove dual locker spawns, add some gyms to the edges of the map.
Midwich - increase hook density (although apparently this is a bug right now).
The Game - remove some of the clutter from around some of the pallets, to make them a little bit less safe.
Cowshed - remove one of the cow trees.
Mother's Dwelling - remove the gen from the roof.
A lot of maps need reworks, but the map I hate the most is Badham. Most Pallets are god Pallets, the Windows are really good aswell and almost everything chains together causing really long chases

If we're ignoring the Killers these Add-ons are attached to, then Tombstone Piece would be the most OP Add-on in the game, but if we're also taking the Killer into account, then Alchemist Ring would take the spot

@AngyKiller said:
I heard this just yesterday or so.
It's this mindset from Survivors that Killers are toxic if they play to win. Or toxic they don't let the last Survivor go.
It's this mindset that Killers are supposed to think of Survivor fun, and play accordingly.
It's this mindset that Killers are to be shamed (called 'sweaty' and, of course 'toxic') if they don't put Survivors, THEIR OPPONENTS, first.
But you know what? It never works in reverse. I've never seen someone say 'You don't NEED a 4E!'.
I've never seen Survivors give the Killer a kill if they're all going to escape.
I've never seen Survivors shamed for playing for a 4E, or not thinking of Killers feelings.
It's a BS double-standard that underlies a large part of the community: That Killers are responsible for Survivor fun. That Killers can try 'too hard'. That Killers are supposed to give up Kills (and thus BP), because Survivors demand it.
You can see it in anti-camping threads; Whatever valid points there are, there is ALSO this reasoning of 'This person is being removed from the game, and that's unfair'. Except...The Killer's whole goal is to remove people from the game? That's the risk in a PvP game with no respawning?
This is the ONLY PvP game I've ever seen where people say it's unfair if they lose too fast.
You don't see people in a battle royale saying 'I died too fast because everyone found a gun first! So unfair! The last people to find guns should be immune to damage so they can have fun!'
Now, I'm not saying camping is not an issue. I'm saying that one line of reasoning is flawed, and based on this double-standard thought of 'Killers are being mean/unfair if they do their goal before I want to lose'.
Let me run over a few matches that show just why I'm very nearly burned out with this game and this double-standard. These are games I have actually had:
Example 1:
I try to 3 hook everyone. Hell, I don't really try to kill so much as I just play to have fun and get BP.
Survivors twerk at pallets. Clicky-click flashlights. Twerk at the exit gates.
End game chat: GGEZ noob! You suck! Baby killer! Uninstall scrub!
Example 2 (Before Hatch changes):
I play to 2 hook people. Turns out; 2 Solo's and a 2-man SWF. SWF does not save solos. Solos die pretty quick.
I hook 1 of the SWF. His buddy says 'I found hatch.' SWF 1 dies on hook ASAP while I'm looking for SWF 2, just jumps into hatch the picosecond it opens.
SWF 1 & 2: Noob scrub! Could not get a 4K! Why are you playing?
Me: You only got away due to sitting on the hatch.
SWF 2: So? That's because you suck! Uninstall, scrub!
Example 3:
I just try to kill. Not facecamping, but I stay near a hook if I know someone is nearby. I'm not giving any quarter. I get a 4K.
Survivors: Freaking sweat harder! We got 2 gens done! Scrub! Ever hear of giving hatch!? I was not struggling because I expected you to carry me to the hatch! Sweatlord!
It's this raging flood of toxicity. Try too little? Insults. Try too hard? Insults, coupled with this feeling of being entitled to an escape because 'something, something, fair play'.
But that fair play only goes one direction. And gets treated like a golden rule.
Many Survivors EXPECT this preferential treatment, and combust if they don't get it. Hell, I was playing in an SWF with a friend once, and we were insulting each other if we got hit, and even lying about where the Killer was to prank each other. We were not trying, at all.
My friend STILL exploded when he was the last kill, and the Killer did not give him hatch. Not in chat; he just started swearing over the mic. It was just built into him to expect it. I don't think it ever occurred to him that he would NOT get the hatch. Like, he seemed to think it was his reward for being the last Survivor.
I guess, what my point is (I'm bad at communicating), is that there's this flood of toxic thought in this game. And yes; it goes both ways. I'm not saying it does not. I'm not saying it's this 'us vs them' problem.
But it's compounded with this almost casual idea baked into many people now that Killers are supposed to cater to Survivors:
Don't kill too fast; that's not fair!
Don't camp; that's mean!
Be a good sport & don't go for that 4K; that's being a tryhard!
Don't play Killers we think are OP/toxic! (Known on the forums as 'I Disconnect when I see <x Killer>')
It's never:
Stop popping gens; the Killer only has 1 hook!
Don't 4E; that's being a tryhard!
Don't bring 16 meta perks; that's mean!
Sometimes, I want to just tell my friends that I'd rather stick toothpicks under my fingernails instead of play anymore. The toxicity just eats away at any goodwill either side attempts.
Both Killers and Survivors are getting shamed for trying their hardest to win
-
Xenomorph isn't on the list, nor is William Birkin so I'll go with Mr. X
-
I'm only having fun when playing Survivor, and only if I am playing with friends. As a Killer main, it sucks that the role I want to play is almost impossible to enjoy

Ghostface is probably the most toxic Killer in the game due to his ability to tbag. The least toxic Killer would probably be between Oni, Demogorgon and Myers
The most toxic Survivor will always be Nea, while the least toxic Survivor is Jeff because he doesn't exist so he can't be toxic. Where are you guys finding all these toxic Steves? All Steves I get are chill and fun, but not always good at the game

I completely agree. I have dropped millions of points to get keys in this game and now I feel it was all wasted. The hatch change was beyond wrong and unfair for survivors. When I found out this happened I literally leaned back in my chair and regretted putting as much time and investment as I have into this game. I honestly couldn't believe they did this. The hatch should not have been changed this much. It should still spawn based on the number of gens done and survivors alive. That was never a problem. And also the fact that the key doesn't instantly open the hatch now is another unnecessary and unfair thing for survivors. The fact that the hatch was literally the only way anyone was going to escape in many situations if you had a key was already annoying. Now you can only use it if you're the last survivor and it has a delayed open animation now? You have got to be kidding me. Keys are worthless now in my opinion and I wish I could get all my BPs back I ever spent on them. I'm never going to use them. Whats the point?
"It should still spawn based on the number of gens done and survivors alive. That was never a problem."
Stop and think about that. If you can't see the problem, you never played Killer and you relied on overpowered mechanics to escape the Trial
EDIT: Why did I quote the wrong post smh

@Pulsar said:
Not Demo. I've always thought he was really boring, hence his abysmal pick rate.
I would say basekit Blight and Old Billy were the best designed Killers.
Demogorgon being boring? What???

@Munqaxus said:
Here is a fix for facecamping that has proven to work and it has already been tested and vetted by an enormous amount of player testing. Plus it doesn't punish the killer. In fact, you have the code to implement it in the game.
Use the same code you use for Pyramid Head's cages and apply it to hooks. When a survivor is hooked, he is teleported to a hook that is temporarily generated, just like a Pyramid Head cage. Then when they are unhooked, the generated hook disappears.
We know it works already. The developers already has the code. It has been heavily tested and works. It ticks every single box for a facecamping fix.
So make 3 genning impossible? How bout no

Grades aren't ranks, which means they're even more meaningless when it comes to matchmaking than old ranks

I'll second The Oni as the best balanced. Mainly because he has a power that he needs to earn to use, and in return gets the ability to insta-down anyone for a period of time, and then repeat. This is important for me, because it's showing a good balance between the power and the steps to activate it. He's also very well designed, intimidating during the trial and his add-ons (whilst not wildly interesting) are decent.
Oni has top-notch skins aswell
-
@kaskader said:
That's my idea how to change bubba:
Quality of life:
Bubba will be now unable to use his chainsaw near the hooked survivor (8 metres)
Unhooked survivor will now get 3 seconds chainsaw immunity.
Chainsaw: Increased chainsaw sweeping movement speed from 5.29 m/s to 5.50 m/s.
Increased chainsaw recharge rate to 0.35 c/s (was 0.25 c/s).
Reduced chainsaw noise range to 32 metres (was 60).
It would remove lame playstyle in in compensation of better chase power.
So nerf Bubba's chase power along with his camping potential? Cool
-
Sure, let's nerf Left Behind while we're at it
-
Easy choice would probably be Blight or Demogorgon, but I'll go with Oni. He has a very powerful Power that rewards mindgames and good play, while punishing bad play and remaining fair, has overall good Add-ons with a few exceptions and has counterplay. His biggest flaw in my opinion is that his counterplay, ShiftW, can really destroy him and make him obsolete. Other than that, he's perfect
