The Pennywise from 2017 would be cool, along with 2 survivors, 1 Male with legendary skins for the other boys, and Beverly as the second survivor.

Also, am I the only one who wants Sidney Prescott added as a survivor for the Scream DLC?

Nah. You're not. Avid Scream fan here... Sidney is all I've wanted since Ghostie's release... a shame his release was a 1-character DLC

I want an I Know What You Did Last Summer chapter with the fisherman as the killer. I know people might think it's lame but it could be cool and I'm sure they could come up with some sort of ability for him. And I'd want Helen to be the survivor <3

Didn't Hide or Die have a license with the Fisherman? Or was it unlicensed... argh... I'm unknowing haha. But I like it.

Yeah, they’d definitely be a oddball inclusion, I still love the uniqueness of the idea.

And so many to choose from... going from my heart, 049... I love 15th/16th/17th century physicians and how they dressed (and besides, the whole idea is just so defined...)

I think my name might give this one away, I’d love to see something SCP related.

SCP's are definitely on a whole nother spectrum regarding horror, but an idea nonetheless.

I got my biggest wish with Silent Hill, but I'd love to see more from old 90's-00's horror games.

Also Jason just because it feels like he's missing from the iconic horror roster.

Jason would be one of my go-tos, specifically on the basis of his iconic presence in the horror platform too. However, due to his heavily-strict licensing, it is near impossible to even beg for his arrival - especially considering Friday the 13th is still a playable game with a slightly similar outlook on a horror game.

I got my real pick with Ghostie. Damn love Scream.

    Cheers for your opinion.

  • If the survivor is the last alive, I'll typically run around stupidly anyway, and allow them to escape my grip. Then, I'll chase them around constantly until I get them, when I'll then let them go once more. After a few times, I'll carry them to the hook to earn that illusive kill. Big sad ;)

  • I only play on mobile now, so last year's Halloween event was a lot fractured compared to 2018's, but still... Hallowed Blight? Damn good event and theme. Halloween always gets me excited and fired up...

  • @ACTIV3_GNASHER Ok. Will do. Hang on... did I just...

I love how he put Freddy S tier but it's the 2010 model and not Robert Englund

And? "Based on Looks". Not based on the successful integration of film-fashioned slashers and their appeal to certain players as "OG" characters in a multi-layered game like Dead by Daylight.

I'm honestly just not that great with him and that's why he's that low.

Yes, I understand that... that's why I stated if it were from MY perspective. But yeah, otherwise our tier lists do reflect each other quite well (despite the varying killers in alternating spots).

Yes. But for me, personally, OG Ghostie perk = OP Ghostie Perk haha

Oh cool. I like how this thread is totally original. This idea is totally not going to get submerged again only for someone to clone it once more with less views and replies, instead of commenting on a previous one and getting the NUMBERS on their side in a great one-stop shop location!

I like the idea, but c'mon, append this post to an existing thread so it boosts the numbers and replies in a single place and gives it more upfront heft.

No. Upload it in as many nooks and crannies as possible throughout these forums, and you'll be better off with attention. Continuously or semi-continuously pushing it on one section doesn't give it "upfront heft", it's just spam.

  • Pretty sure changes will be made, especially since this is a new system, But I see your concern.

  • Agree to disagree. Personally, the only killer on this list I believe 100% SHOULD be pulled up (if it were from my perspective) is Billy, but other than that, we pretty much see eye-to-eye.

Oh alright. Personally I would put huntress higher, but people have their own opinions. I actually have my own tier list on the forums, but it's mainly based on how I play them.

  • @magicmaster2020 said:

Is this in general or how you do with them?

To bring the community closer together. For some time now I had given it some thought and I feel BHVR should do a create killer contest.Whom ever’s design they pick will be the next killer.I decided to post this because I always see threads on people wanting iconic movie killers and that’s great that we have some of them. But I told myself one day I would really like to see something more creative and original.Don’t get me wrong BHVR has done an absolute great job at being able to have permission to use well known killers from movies. But honestly feel It’s time that the community gives BHVR a break from always asking for famous killer icons. And so by doing a design killer contest they can pick out a winner’s design to use.

I made a concept for Pinhead, "The Engineer", and I enjoyed formulating a lore for him. I'd certainly benefit from this sort of contest! The level of creativity that courses through your veins... sure, Pinhead is not an original character, but who cares? This would be amazing.

Thats fair, I disagree on the easy part though. I've told beginners to start playing Freddy and they've always come back with better results. The only knowledge I find is necessary is where to put snares and what direction survivors go in when gen teleporting, neither of which require much skill imo. I do see where your coming from though.

Yes, snare placement can be a real bugger. But, for the most part, I see where you're coming from. Cheers for your opinion!

  • @Yamaoka said:

Legion? Powerful? How? I always feel a relief when it's Legion as their power can merely injure me and I feel VERY comfortable playing the whole match while injured.

Clearly your experiences with Legion contradict mine, which is fine, but I wouldn't discern such information so avidly. I have played Legion and have been played against by a Legion and each time, more or less, the player is able to exploit all the hidden gems of their KP and just make it near impossible to escape. Yes, it is very situational majority of the time and depends on the player using Legion, but mainly, it's about HOW you play them - I personally like just following blood trails. It works... sometimes :D

  • @SCP_FOR_DBD said:

Can I ask how Pig is higher than Freddy? He seems to be at least a very powerful. I think pig should be in strong. Other than that I mostly agree with this, with a few small exceptions of course.

Nice to hear you agree; I mainly slotted Freddy below her because I have different experiences with him. I see him as a killer that is only an easy-play in the exact right player's hands - no exceptions if you're low on experience or can't get your playstyle correct. I understand what you mean, but based on personal experience, Freddy is ranked (slightly) below.

  • @Cheers said:

I'm just happy someone gave Pig higher than C tier

What can I say? I find Piggy a very strategic killer when in the right hands :)

  • Personally, as a Ghostie main, I have to say I'm All Ears. This is mainly due to the fact that if a survivor performs a rushed action (most often by accident), it gives me a chance to highlight that survivor and take advantage of their positioning. Not only does it allow me to pick off their location, but I can easily manipulate their current placement by leaning on them and charging Night Shroud. God I love sneaky stealthy boi

  • Well considering you're currently playing a game hellbent on gore, killing and outwitting a murderer, I'm extremely concerned as to what your parents are thinking, and what their ideals are. But, rest assured, I don't think you're gonna find a suiting creator. Even Otz swears on occasion. I'm currently watching his Killer Tier List for Version 4.1.0.

  • @Maperson said:

Don't you think it's a bit strong and way too much pressure without him doing much?

That's the point of the extremely low speed on the Cenobites. If I can find a video that fits correctly, you'll see how the speed of the demons ensures they can't constantly stalk survivors. They're more of an incentive for survivors to not huddle around each other and spread out (which can in turn help The Engineer).

Edit: If you're talking about the Lament Configuration, yes - it's certainly unbalanced for this moment. I'll have to strategise and make changes soon... (it's a brand new concept on Pinhead's power list I thought of).

Moreover, survivors can easily demolish the Construct if not guarded adequately...

haha yes I agree. And no, The Captain can't be cursed. he just can't see The Amulet to prevent camping it.

I created a Pinhead concept just the other day (which I recently made a lore for), and I focused on him being a map-controlling killer. I really like these “unique” killer concepts whereby the entire state of the game can hang on the killer’s ability to perform well, especially under pressure... perhaps you could give it a look at? Inspiration by inspiration. I’ve certainly been inspired by your works... I might pursue ACTUAL well-made concepts if I get time now.

And may I add two things:

    1. Your concept is unique in essence, but familiar in terms of the Deathslinger’s Harpoon gun (I like that)
    2. I think creative posts should get more attention around here... take people’s minds off debating perk injustices and whatnot

Overall solid killer, on the edge of my seat to see what you produce next!

  • Sounds like an overall well-balanced killer, and from the looks of it, he'd be able to both be used as a quick-down by skilled players, and a slow survivor take-down when in the hands of less skilled players. Just to clarify, the Captain can be cursed but can't cleanse himself? Or did I read that wrong? Love the concept.

Because both Killer and Solo surv are stressful and unfair as #########. It's sometimes dreadful thinking of playing the game and watching someone else play removes that stress.

Couldn't be more accurate. It's scary to even consider matchmaking nowadays; you're too afraid that the tiniest mishap in your gameplay will amount to a massive loss or penalty out of nothing but pure effort. Ashamed to say it, but it's stressful even contemplating playing sometimes.

  • @cheetocultleader said:

There are days I want to play for 6 hours, days I want to just watch Otz play, and days I don't care about DBD at all. It's really just about your mood? Idk, but I will say DBD is one of the only games I've ever enjoyed watching someone else play. I could never understand people who'd rather just watch. However, in this game, watching different people gives you different perspectives on how to play, and since the games can have various outcomes, sometimes funny, sometimes anger inducing, etc -- it's actually entertaining and a learning experience. DBD has a certain something that many other games don't, which is proven by the thousands who tune into watch those streamers. And if it ever gets balanced appropriately, I could see it being a e-sport. It would be a lot of work though and hinge on how popular DBD stays years down the road.

Yes indeed. I have only ever been able to thoroughly enjoy DBD gameplay, and not many other games. Yes its popularity determines a great deal of things, indeed, but personally playing has been rather boring lately...

  • Now this one is subjective.

Personally, I dig Zarina out of no reason I can come up with... just her look has me interested. And her clothing choices, combined with the colours in them... idk... best female survivor in my opinion.

  • I'm working on an image for a weapon - I'm not seeking out basic google images right now. I'm thinking either the Lament Configuration or Pinhead's own hand, which can transform into a blade or something a rather... spill your thoughts on what his weapon should be below.

  • From what I've heard, it really doesn't make much of a difference the type of device you run. The game on mobile is riddled with enough bugs and issues that on every device, there's bound to be a truckload of problems you'll face - and that's just the state of DBD mobile. So in case of phone purchases, I'm unsure... personally, I ran it on my iPad Air 2 (although I deleted it due to the storage being RIDICULOUSLY HIGH), and I had issues, as per usual, but it was mostly clean (besides the graphics not being the best and the occasional frameskip here and there).

I now play DBD Mobile on my Samsung Galaxy S9, and it's ok - although something's up with my phone internally. I guess overall I'd suggest a decent device is somewhere up from the S9. Hope this helps :)

  • I make many board/card games myself. This one, however, seems to don an entirely unique design concept unparalleled and completely separate to most other games of its classification. At first glance, this whole idea captured my eyes. I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys produce. Looks and sounds EXACTLY what I'd look for in a game, too.

Just a query, if somehow you got past all the complex licensing of particular killers (especially licensed killers like Freddy, Myers, Pyramid Head, Demo, Ghostie, etc.), and were able to publish it, would it be available in Australia?

My recent works are amateur at best, and run on a completely contrary game concept, but they are a complete and fulled game nonetheless. I agree with you that the best part of constructing such games is the fun involved with creating it! My most recent card game is a sequel to a prior one; Egyptian Conquest II.

I'm looking forward to updates on this project. Much luck to you!

This is like me doing homework when the teacher tells us to write at least 300 words.

Only, I don't restate my centre point a dozen plus times. I am very creative with my words - especially given the "right" topic... one could say people who write to such a degree are destined to get into many, many online debates...

This is like me doing homework when the teacher tells us to write at least 300 words.

A reflection of my literature and my essay-style responses to similar tasks (of about 300 words), only dumbed-down. I don't mind dipping a toe in a chunky word count hehe

  • @NoShinyPony said:

The main issue is probably that we have been talking about the same issues for years.

For example: Why talk about console optimization? We have been discussing issues for ages and nothing changed.

Or matchmaking: Also been an issue for ages. The devs now came up with a new system, but they won't tell us how it works, so what should we talk about when we know nothing about it? (I'm talking about how we don't know how performance will be rated. By kills? Bloodpoints? Something entirely different?)

One side of the spectrum, yes. A bit overkill with the constant whinging, eh?

  • @NightmareReborn said:

I have no clue what the actual numbers show in terms of the forum's popularity, but I'll say this: The forums are definitely not appealing in anyway to newcomers.

90% of the threads on the front page are complaining about some aspect of the game, simply to feed the constant "Us vs. Them" mentality, which at this rate, would likely kill the game down the line. That's why I always suggest there be some form of "Balance suggestions/feedback" sub-forum, or a sub-forum for debating. The forums are a warzone, and at times, I feel like the devs shouldn't listen to us.

This is the reason you may see me predominantly comment of FNaF-related threads above all else; I simply couldn't care less about SWFs destroying red ranks, or DS, or Unbreakable, or NOED, or Spirit, or Freddy (NOTE: I'm not saying these issues don't exist). I just try to have fun with the game above all else. Does DbD have its share of issues? Of course, but consistently holding a flame war over every small issue is the exact reason why almost none of these issues get fixed, or fixed properly.

That sort of went slightly off topic, but I hope you can see where I'm coming from. I know for a fact that this community has some absolutely brilliant people in it, but it seems as if the bad apples are ruining the bunch.

Let's try to create a more welcoming atmosphere from now on.

Thank you. Your opinion is overly reflective of mine, and the exact thing I was given a warning for bringing to light. People in other forums and game dev sites typically ask the same, frequently coined question, "listen to the players more!". However, in DBD's case, the game and the forums collectively would benefit to a ludicrous extent from people's lack of complaint. As you do, I also don't enjoy reading the complaints of "who's too OP", "why this killer should be nerfed", "changes need to come to ranks", "issues around red rank exploitation" - I honestly couldn't care less. Exactly the reason I vouch my views on the matter. It's terribly embarrassing, the state of these forums. We require some sort of opt-out of people's complaining and grunting over the smallest, most insignificant issues - can't we just enjoy what is here to offer through DBD?

I mean, the community AS A WHOLE is decent. Quite a welcoming one. But yes, definitely create a more welcoming atmosphere. None of us want Reddit 2.0 over here, am I right?

I can respect that. Players should be expected to learn the intricacies of a game without hand-holding, but give me something that allows me to experiment, or show me what I need to do instead of expecting me to compete right off the bat!

I believe when I was a beta tester for mobile, the instructions of general gameplay and killer-exclusive gameplay was thoroughly explored. A shame other ports and consoles aren't likened to that accord...

  • @SweetTerror said:

And a lot of people share those same thoughts. Many people agree that he's fun to play with, but he's not the strongest killer. Personally I would like for BHVR to be more clear about what a killer can do. I want to see videos in the game detailing in full a killer's power, or at least a practice mode that allows us to test out both killers and survivors, because the tutorial that is there is weak, and doesn't accurately reflect everything that has been added and changed over the last 4 years.

The last thing gamers should have to do is seek out how-to-play videos from other gamers, when the developers should be doing that for you already.

I see eye-to-eye with you on that, but on a personal level, I value individual experiment whereby we as the player body have to examine our own paths and attempts and learn from them, adapt our gameplay and develop individual strategies as to how to play a killer. But yeah, definitely an issue when I have to research how to play The Shape and Ghostie efficiently (even if they were for mobile haha).

I also play him in his surgery gown lol. It's fun standing there a survivors crouch walk cautiously up to me. I sincerely have the choice to either EW up or be nice. It's all in my hands. 😝

Edit: awww imagine if his gown was p3 bloody!

I see your ambitions now. I mean, personally, I prefer the original costumes for most killers (i.e: my boy Ghostface, whom I keep in his primeval, pristine black-on-grey state), simply because I adore what comes close to "tradition" in this game (whether or not it can be deduced tradition or not is irrelevant). I see the comedic genius behind the mask, cackling at the triumph of such actions, and I too share a love of absurdity in these games. Your sense of humour is outwardly noted, and whilst I too agree with your reasons and laughs, I take a high regard to the appearance of this here account, and thus must remain unconnected to your words.

But I couldn't refrain from laughing... and p3 bloody? Damn mate. You got me twice over. 😂
