A map where it's possible to open, close or shift routes would be interesting. Dunno how it could be balanced though.

How is doc mediocre BM?

And 1 dude saying something makes the communities agreement with the statement moot? Also, I know he says he's not joking, but the hyperbole is strong in the OP.
Yes. That's how mafia works.

"Bribable" lol .
you mean the BHVR actually do something the community would be interested in, which would in turn possibly get people to spend money on a product.
Nah. I mean directly contacting a single dev and saying if you push for y, I'll give you x.
-
They'll never do this now or else it'll seem like they're bribable
-
It makes a loud notification for the killer. The survivor gets a stubbed toe status effect where they moan and limp with a 0.2 m/s debuff for 30 seconds but the survivor does not actually lose a health state. They also can't kick another totem while they have the stubbed toe status effect.

simple answer, Keys most likely would require new animations and new coding for those animations, moris just needed a single digit changed, that's why they came first and weren't both part of the same package
They could've just changed a few numbers as a placeholder or waited until both were ready... People have been asking for Mori changes for years now and it wouldn't have made a difference if they did it yesterday or last month.
-
The devs aren't killing their game. They're trying to normalize every part of the game to really boring levels of power. Part of it is the community's fault cuz both sides keep calling for nerfs for anything sightly powerful but the devs also look at statistics and go well this is better than everything else so we'll nerf it down.
-
is it really worth the perk slot? It protects for 30 seconds aka 15 seconds from ruin. U need to have already been repairing a gen for 60 seconds, which means within that 20 seconds before you finish the gen you need to be chased off it. You can only really use it twice a match unless your team really sucks at gens, which generally means repressed Alliance probably won't be worth much. It definitely has its use but it seems really situational.

Yes I know it's possible to adjust brightness on my tv, but depending on what tv you have, it's probably a lot more complicated and slower than it would be on PC.
My old Xbox 360 had settings to turn up brightness. Dunno about newer consoles.
-
Fix matchmaking. No matter how much information you give some1 or tools, it doesn't matter if they don't use them.
-
Wouldn't that mess with the lore?
-
Without much context I can't really say why they're doing it. There's a lot of different reasons why some1 would do this.
As for how to beat it:
1. Hide your red glow and swing back with a lunge to try for a quick hit
2. Bait it out
3. Just eat it
4. Perks like spirit fury and/or enduring work
5. Just lunge attack and hope that lag, hit validation, hitboxes or the survivor, let's the hit through
6. Play a killer that has a power that can fight it
-
I wouldn't call it a nerf. I'd call it bhvr being bhvr and messing with things that ain't broken.
-
Your really stretching a lot of the examples here. Also, spirit does have an audio cue. I have no clue how the hell it works or if it's bugged. I hear it sometimes. Would that change make any difference other than spirit can't do grabs anymore and might not have a surprise attack in the beginning?

I mean ok, let's say you're right, even if they at least make her shards glow when phasing that would at least give survivors some kind of clue that shes using her power and would eliminate the standing mid games which honestly are BS anyway. How is that fair that you can get rewarded for standing still? Where's the skill in that?
I was more talking about the chase aspect. As for the whole standing still mind game thing, I don't really see how it's much different from skillful play in this game. The skill ceiling in this game is pretty low. Standing still or turning really quickly during a loop is not that different in my eyes. A survivor can be rewarded for standing still and hoping that the killer can't see them. They're also allowed to stand still at certain tiles and use the 3rd person camera to see what the killer is doing. The Spirit took the risk to bet that they weren't wasting their time standing still or the survivor wasn't going to turn tail and run.
Also, it's really weird to talk about the fairness of how much skill something takes. I don't really care if it's removed or not. I dunno if it makes a difference. I main survivor anyways.
-
Just rework spirit at that point. You'd completely destroy her with that change cuz it turns from spirit guessing and survivor guessing with the advantage being in spirit's favor to spirit guessing and the survivor staring at her.
-
Put the decision on hold. They're about to make changes to Freddie.

You know that its possible for Killers to three gen purposely right?
Even if you purposely try to "avoid" a three gen, it doesn't always work because the Killer can just ignore the generator that means nothing to them and never leave their position with the nearby gens.
But how would the killer even attempt it if they were too busy tunneling?
-
How does some1 manage to tunnel and 3 gen a group of survivors?
-
How about they just remove the whole stacks and tokens and just give the max bonus BP cuz at a certain point you're going to get enough tokens regardless.
-
Blight and billy had changes in the ptb before release. Pyramid Head has map pressure? I wouldn't exactly say he has 0 but is ph known for map pressure? As for Freddie I don't think that belongs in the list cuz Freddie requires little skill for the amount of effectiveness he brings. Nobody had to learn how to play better with him, unlike what you're saying about the twins
-
Now that's impressive. How'd they manage to even do that against death slinger?

I agree. After Gen 5, the Killer's really started to go downhill.
The weird thing is none of the characters seem to age. With each graphic update they seem to get younger.
-
Cuz you only see the idiots.
-
With Billy you're learning when to use and not use his chainsaw. Opportunities to use his power in chase is rare. Very rarely you're going to be able to do anything fancy in red ranks too. If you want to practice that stuff then... I guess ignore survivors and just practice things?
Also, survivors need to learn how to play against the different killer powers and abilities. It's tough learning that stuff too. Although, some survivors would agree with you and don't adapt or just say it's boring and don't bother.

A = B
If A, then C
logically invalid argument
... I don't agree with what the other guy said but what you said here isn't saying that he's wrong. You're just saying the logic doesn't make sense.
Ex: I like candy = candy is what I like
If I like candy, then I like banana.
All can be true but the logic doesn't follow.

Victor is undead as he returns as many times after dying. Charlotte is the host, and is thus living. I wouldn't call it "alive" as it's living in the same way Freddy or Blight do.
It could be reincarnation. Actually, it's technically closer to cloning if Charlotte is just regrowing her brother.
-
Some arguments are really dumb. At the same time, there are a lot of valid complaints about the Mori nerf. I'm just as tired of the community complaining about the Mori complaints by saying well the Moris needed a nerf therefore shut up. Meanwhile, the vast majority of the complaints have nothing to do with the actual fact that the Moris were nerfed and with the actual implementation of it.
-
I dunno what weird nostalgia goggles you're wearing. I don't think there is a single part of dbd history where either side wasn't constantly complaining. You might say but they did it less. There were also far less players. If you scale things up there's technically less complainers now.

When you walk into range of a totem your aura is shown for 6 seconds and it does not refresh unless you walk outside the range and enter back in.
Even without distortion killers can still miss survivors auras on their totems because the aura doesn't refresh.
Maybe that's the problem with the perk then. Undying never gets to activate for 6 seconds so once your immunity for 10 seconds is up, undying tries to activate again. A bug or a feature? I dunno.

Undying shows your Aura only for 6 seconds, not for the full cleanse duration (14 sec.)
I thought Undying shows your aura as long as your in it's range. The 6 seconds only applies if you've left it's range cuz undying just reapplies again.

it did in the sense of when the hatch spawns, so like mori where it can only be used when the survivor is on last hook, if all 4 survs are alive (where the key is strongest) all 5 gens must be done, so its p.much the same concept.
Wasn't hatch always like that? The only thing they changed was when only 1 survivor was alive. Hatch would always spawn instead of requiring a certain number of gens to be done.
-
@Rokku_Rorru said:
People really forget that the hatch got reworked and moris were untouched when end game collapse was introduced? Keys were technically nerfed back then, to the same state mori is currently in. only usable when the game is at its climax.
Hatch rework was a neutral change. Did it effect keys at all?

For the 100th time, yes we are all on agreement that moris were op and needed a nerf. But at this point it coukd be better NOT to run them. Like, the Mori anination takes so much time. Usually it is faster just to hook them. We wanted moris nerfed, not turned into a meme.
There are plenty of ways they could jave been changed that would have kept some pressure but not kill off survivors too soon.
Yes, this IS a lazy nerf.
Yes, Moris ARE useless now.
In b4, some1 says Mori's aren't useless because they're usually better than not having a Mori.

They first looked at hook spawns, narrowing down to maps which didn't have the hooks either too close or too far apart. Out of those 9 'neutral' maps they then looked at loops. Removing 3 maps that had 'infinites', including Lampkin Lane. That left them with 6 maps, 2 which were removed because Corn messes with some killers powers.
But their saying that the metric of looking at hooks per a square mile is flawed already. It really doesn't matter what the average is. I know that they're trying to avoid killers having hooks too close together in case they manage to get 2 hooks or getting hook dead zones but this isn't the way to do it. You really do have to look at individual maps for that metric. I don't think coal tower or gas heaven are that good with hooks but that depends on RNG.
-
Cant Victor land on there if the killer cared enough to go for it? Of course , victor would be kicked for the trouble.
-
They're going to make it so you have to be hooked twice by a killer before you can use a key and it only let's one survivor escape plus all other conditions that were already on the key.
-
Don't overstay at loops. There is a narrow window you can safely use pallets and windows. This depends on the distance the PH has to you and knowing this window is rough. Holding w is pretty effective against PH's range attack unless he does a side ways prediction or is relatively close to you. Worst case scenario you give up on any fancy counterplay or thought and just force PH to waste as much time as you can. It generally is better to get hit by PH's m2 since you can gain more distance. Well it's better if the PH misses.
-
U don't have to buy the next dlc...
-
Take a hallway from any map. Extend the hall way by appending an identical hallway. The map is just one long hallway. Killer spawns on one side of the map with hooks and the exit gate and survivors spawn on the other side with all the gens plus the only location where hatch can spawn. The distance is so far apart between the two locations that by the time the killer gets to the other side all 5 gens should be done. I think this map would be awful for both sides...

If there is now way to get rid of latency in games doesn't that mean that the best solution would be to reduce the amount of latency as much as possible? If other online games have reduced latency then this one should as well.
But then which pov do we prioritize? You prioritize the servers pov and nobody will be happy cuz both sides will see a lot of weird things. Prioritize the killer side and survivors won't be happy, while you still see weird things on the Killer's end. Prioritize the survivor side and killer's won't be happy, while survivors will still see weird things. Not to mention the fact that killers might just be chasing shadows of survivors now. Then you do the half-assed measure that the devs did which only cuts out the extreme cases of lag for killers, while still keeping it killer sided pretty much leads to this.
-
I'm just going to copy and paste this here: Even if hit validation worked as intended you'll still be seeing hits like that. Even if you had hit validation be fully survivor sided you'll still see bs hits (it'll be much rarer but across all players you'll get a bunch of juicy clips) or teleporting killers. There's no way to get rid of latency in an online game. It doesn't matter whose the one lagging or nobody is lagging. You'll still see something different from what the server sees, the killer sees and vice versa.

Depending on RNG it can be a little too good for killers, I would like to see maps more neutralized. So there is an equal chance across the board.
But, other than pallet RNG, they did a good job.
Do you mean normalized?
