I feel like there's some strange placebo effect going on. I haven't really noticed an increase nor a decrease in "tunneling". Whether you use the term loosely or strictly there hasn't been too much of a change imo. Not to mention the fact that there are some people that swear they're hard tunneled nearly every game or a large percentage of games. The only thing I've really noticed is that th2 comments 21 views last activity

Make him look normal at the start of the match. The closer the trickster is to using his power the main event the more charred and disfigured his hands look to the killer and he looks to the survivors. Now it gives a visual cue for both sides when his main event power is coming up, plus he'll be more horror looking. Outside of matches have the trickster phase in and out of both appearances.1 comments 31 views last activity

Try to force 50/50 trades at Windows and pallets. U might have to hit the survivors with knives a little first. Edit: I mean lose/lose.4 comments 111 views last activity

There's clearly something that bugs ppl about the trickster and he's very different from the other killers. Some ppl might point at the tricksters clothes, hair, attitude or whatever. Others have rightfully pointed out reasons why that doesn't make sense. Personally, I think the "problem" with the trickster is that he feels like just a normal villain. Not a horror killer. I'm just curious if they said why they're changing it. Was there something in their data that rised a flag that said hey we gotta change DS... oh yeah we'll also look at OOO too.8 comments 171 views last activity

1. These are ptb changes. They are subject to change. Ppl keep saying the devs don't make changes between ptb and the main game, which is slightly true. The devs tend to make tweaks to things between ptb and release, even if the main idea of a change remains unchanged. 2. DS has been nerfed multiple times in the past. 3. DS has also been buffed multiple times in the past, either because4 comments 121 views last activity

Make it deactivate on a full heal and using an exit gate. Remove the skill check and make it activate on m2. Pause the timer on being downed. Remove the single activation per match.1 comments 51 views last activity

Every map starts with 4 pallets. Each survivor can build 2 at the start at certain tile locations (have a bunch). Building a pallet takes x (maybe 10) seconds. Survivors can build more pallets by collecting scrap through fixing gens, cleansing totems and going to destroyed pallets (maybe getting hooked). Here's an example with numbers. Lets say it takes 100 scrap to build a new pallet. They get6 comments 111 views last activity

Right now in dbd being uninjured is just plain better, while being injured makes you an easier to down and easier to find. Just 0.5%-5% buffs to stuff. You could even make it only work outside of killer terror radius. Something about being injured giving more focus or adrenaline or the entity's power seeps into your wounds. Maybe even the closer to death hook you are the stronger things get.20 comments 171 views last activity

Anyone think it would be better if they just designed the maps more around quantity instead of quality of tiles? Just only have 1 or 2 strong/god pallets. Then have a massive amount of unsafe pallets and a bunch of weak tiles.6 comments 81 views last activity

Dbd moves at a snails pace compared to a lot of other games in this department and overall the gameplay hasn't really changed too much considering its been 4 years. I think the biggest change would have to be EGC, even though it technically doesn't have much of an effect in the grand scheme of things. I'm really tired of People just giving up and waiting for their team to die for hatch without contributing enough. If you did 2 gens and realized that your team isn't doing anything then it's fine. Escape through hatch. But if you haven't done anything and noticed that only 2 gens have been done after five minutes and decide that you should wait for hatch, u can't escape. Basically you can't esca2 comments 41 views last activity

I'm a survivor main and even I'm disappointed at how long it took them to do so little with Moris. It's like they gave up and just did a half assed nerf. There's so many good suggestions from other survivors and killers yet all they did was change a 1 to a 2... It took them how long to do that? I'm sure that even having to hook all survivors once before using a Mori plus having a certain number o6 comments 101 views last activity

What's with the dbd community and thinking that just adding free in front of anything means something? Hatch is a free escape. X killer can get free hits. DS gives a free second chance. It's just so ridiculous because you can put free in front of anything and it'll still be technically true at the same time arguably false. Doing a gen is free gen progression. I feel like removing bloodlust will change the meta on both sides that just isn't fun. Yes I know there are some in the community that'll say that Killer's shouldn't be relying on bloodlust at all and they should get good but I'm worried that this version of getting good means they aren't going to participate in chases. Even good killers still rely a little on the first tier of bloodlust. They'll31 comments 921 views last activity

After being unhooked you are instantly healed to a healthy health state and intangible to the killer for 160 seconds (the killer can't touch or hit you) or until all other living survivors have been hooked again. However during this time, all activities will be done at 1/8 / 1/4 / 1/2 of a charge and you can't rescue people off of hooks. Totems always take 80 seconds. Also, no interacting with pa2 comments 71 views last activity

I mean that if the survivors could fight back which killers could they defeat? They could just picked up things off the floor and try to fight. Add in just a little realism in terms of injuries but certain killers who are supernatural get to keep their powers. Also, the fact that the survivors and killers have been stuck in a never ending loop so they know of each other and have nothing to lose.45 comments 801 views last activity

It's one thing to have a new account with 0 posts make a new topic and complaining about DC penalties (after almost a month of it being out again). Make character models match their hit boxes for that one day. I remember hearing somewhere that the survivor hit boxes are more egg shaped and don't match up with their models for technical reasons.1 comments 21 views last activity

Might as well make a discussion for not serious perk ideas... I'm too tired to think of good names. Make more dumb perks. True killer: disrupts all aura reading abilities against a survivor. The survivor now has a killer's red glow. Prone: unlocks the ability for a survivor to go prone. I'm sure there's a use for this somewhere. I saw a thread about swf and somehow my brain went in this direction. I'm curious what ppl think about Steam sniping a SWF with comms specifically. Not Steam sniping a solo queue survivor, a killer or even a SWF not using comms. It feels like a grey area to me.15 comments 401 views last activity

*This isn't a debate thread* There's been so many threads about ruin and undying. I've made a few myself explaining why I don't think it's that strong and why I think survivors are freaking out about it. So far all I've seen from other people are knee jerk reactions or bad arguments on why the combo needs a nerf. So give me the best and strongest reason(s) why it needs a nerf. It wouldn't make a difference honestly but it would be hilarious to watch. I might actually play killer to just spam it for fun. Just make sure to lower the noise it makes and make sure it can't hurt the same survivor twice within 2.25 seconds or whatever the cd it has right now.12 comments 201 views last activity

I swear that at the beginning of dbd history tunneling wasn't really frowned upon, unlike facecamping. Whether your talking about the OG meaning of a tunneler or the really broad meaning ppl seem to use today. Sure there was still a small vocal part of the community that hated it with a passion but the majority didn't care. I'd say that it was like 1 in 10. If not less than that. What I'm starting to get from the forums is that killers are camping, tunneling, protecting totems with undying and chasing ppl off gens so that ruin regresses gens all within a close time frame. If a killer is managing to do all this against my team, I'm going to assume that my solo queue team would've lost even if the killer just stood still for the first 2 minutes of the match. Even though some of these aren't really the definitions to these words people seem to like using them in these ways: Gen rushing: Survivors are single-mindedly doing gens. This means regardless of how long a match actually lasts it's still gen rushing. Tunneling: 1. A killer downs a survivor who was the last person downed. 2. A killer chases a survivor too long/too many times. 3. DS activate3 comments 111 views last activity

So instead of having all the survivors know how to repair gens why not make it a crank musical generator and they're trying to kick start the power in an area? That way as a survivor powers up the generator the music gets louder. The killer will have an idea that some1 is working on it. The added benefit is that the sound a survivor and killer makes will become muffled when you're nearby it (coul1 comments 21 views last activity

This is probably a trash killer idea but how about a killer with base stats but his ability is to throw survivors that he m1s. If the survivor hits a pallet the pallet breaks. If they hit a gen it gets popped equal to pop goes the weasel. If they hit another survivor the thrown survivor goes down and the other survivors gets injured one health state. If they hit a window the window gets bamboozle1 comments 21 views last activity

When a survivor gets hooked they get dragged into the sky by the entity. The survivors have to touch 3 hooks to weaken the entity (triple the amount of bp and altruism). The killer is notified 3 seconds after a hook is touched. Once the 3rd hook is touched the survivor falls out of the sky and gets sent to the last hook touched. Everything else with the hooking mechanics are the same. This might23 comments 241 views last activity

All you have to do is ask what happens if there's no hatch? Do ppl think the killer will magically know where the last survivor is and teleport there to claim their 4k? I think what would happen is that: a) the survivor gives up and just walks to the killer and dies (ruins the moment of victory for killer) b) the game slows to a crawl as the last survivor stealthes around slowly trying to1 comments 61 views last activity

So now that d/c penalty is back can the devs remove the ability for survivors to kill themselves on hook? Just give some other penalty for trying to Kobe or failing a struggle phase. The added benefit is new survivors won't accidentally get themselves killed and even veteran survivors accidentally screw up the struggle phase (or a bug kills them). Maybe even replace it with a voting surrender sys84 comments 1,481 views last activity

Here's my suggestion: Within a certain range of a hooked survivor, if the killer is there they slowly get blinded and deafened by the entity, until they can't see or hear anything. The UI of the game also becomes increasingly unseeable, until it's gone. The time it takes for that to happen would be the time it takes for a survivor to go through a phase on the hook. The killer will also be visibl6 comments 141 views last activity
