Okay, here's the thing.
SB is a strong, but well designed perk. It carries a trade off, and can be countered. You need to actually make decisions if you're running SB.
Dead Hard was 'press E not to die'. Even for an intermediate player, it was strong - and for high MMR players, it was godly.
SB buys you time at the start of a chase, meaning that I can say 'oh, okay it's not worth chasing them, let me go get someone else' or 'okay, they've used it, now I can catch up and push them off that loop'.
DH hits at the tail of the chase, and prologues it. Meaning that you've already committed, and there's no real way to counter besides dumb mindgames that often don't work.
bad thing about dh is it didnt get nerfed
-
Yea doesn't matter if u see the animation as long as it doesn't slow you down to the window.

Yeah but the survivor can't use it to dodge a hit, so they are taking a deep wound hit
If your getting chased deep wound doesn't do anything.
-
I still think sb is still better when used properly.

it depends on the situation. E to safety when close to said safety won't change much. But removing the ability to make killers miss their hits is huge on some powers, like Legion's, Oni's, Trapper's, and the survivor gets punished with a mend if this happens.
yea not to mention its 4m of invincibility.
-
@Arkmenhah said:
No one thinks Sprint Burst is better than Dead Hard. It is funnier and requires more cleverness to use, but it isn't even the second best exhaustion perk. I'd say Lithe is the second one, but that's only a personal opinion at this point.
dh didnt get nerfed though if you think about it.
-
I usually just go for them if the killer is really close to the gen or i think i can maybe waste some time going for a cj
-
you now get 4.0 instead of like 2. something so dh is buffed. Actualy nvm cause your basically get 6.something i dono didnt change much really though now thinking about it.
-
If they increased pallet breaks at least increase pallet stun duration since its a 50/50 anyways.
-
This is how you use dh loop a rock and last second before the killer can get a hit use it and drop a pallet. Didnt really get to much of a nerf can still use it for distance.

How do you 99 a Sprint Burst if I have Blood Echo or Mind Breaker?
Plus another of my Main is Blight, as Blight what will a 99 SB do?
99 helps getting to the other side of a loop or 2 a window. Both of those 2 are really bad perks to use imo but to each their own.
-
I dont use any perks and loop just fine you are 100$ right they should rework the maps not destroy looping as a whole.
-
@Ayamir said:
But who's everyone tho ?
Dead hard was always the superior exhaustion perk Blight doesn't care about sprint Burst he can literally catch up to you in seconds same for Oni in Blood Fury, even Billy can use his chainsaw to catch a survivor faster.
Sprint Burst will only hurt the 110 killers like Huntress,Deathslinger holding W against them is great since they're so slow.
SB doesn't help you in chase,Lithe and Balanced Landing will help you even tho they're more situational but at least they help you get distance from the killer while in chase which is good to reach the next loop.
You don't know about the 99 do you :)

Overcharge, Jolt, and Thana have been buffed. Lots of talk already around Overcharge and Call of Brine used together. I would not be surprised to find full gen slowdown builds on most killers going forward.
i ment as the current meta i already see the meta is gen slow down vs survivor gen speeds with bnps.

Yeah but those situations where they dead hard to a vault, or to a pallet, or over a bear trap, is going to be gone. turning off the hit maker all together when you're almost inside their body and they hit the button and you swing and nothing happens was majorly annoying. There's not much skill in pressing a button for that big of a benefit
Thats all going to be the same except they just have to choose clser loops 1 second of iframes you can still walk over a trap.

An extra ten seconds, cry about it. All survivor have to do is split up and one person runs the killer for 60 seconds and its GG in it's current state. Gen speeds have been broken forever an devs have been to scared to touch it till now. Should be 100 seconds per gen as far as I'm concerned.
Ten seconds of what blood lust pallet breaking survivor distance after hit and killer stun after hit reduction. It could be 120 seconds i dont care i hate looping is gone. If you choose to chase for 60 seconds as a killer thats what you should get for bad decision making.

Well I hope not. Lots of gen slowdown perks on killers side means hiding really isn't a viable option. You come back to your gen to find it at 0% lmao
They just nerfed the gen slowdown.

I'm saying they can't get slugged like with DS. With DS, you can still go down from a hit. So if I suspect you have DS, I just down you and then leave you there. You either need unbreakable, or a whole 3rd survivor to come help you. Which is good for me. There is literally no weakness here. You can literally go and just body block with OTR.
Yes, hit recovery got buffed for killers, but body blocking is still a thing and will still cause issues and will still be a significant set back for killers. It's not like the recovery time was cut in half or something.
yea but if they body block they cant go as far and you recover faster to kill them instead.
-
@HexPleaseLetMeSpeak said:
Like no seriously... you nerfed DS, just to rework OTR into a version of DS that is better in every single aspect. No risk of getting slugged, still granted protection, AND you can just body block for a teammate and not go down. Or if you get healed. Body block literally 2 hits without going down.
This has to be a meme.
Gotta remember they nerfed the run distance and the hit stun getting slug isnt a thing really cause they are a slug they cant do anything for the time they have the endurance effect.

I'll be using Jolt way more frequently with killers who down using M1s.
I'll be using Eruption way more frequently combined with the new Overcharge or Call of Brine.
I'll be using Thanatophobia in more killers instead of just Legion and Plague.
I uninstalled to keep my sanity as a survivor lol.

But neiter Pebble, Fixated nor Urban Evasion were used in 30% something of all builds. They should regularly nerf and tune the perks that are most use and underused, just to keep the meta moving, like other games do it.
And I guess a lot of people don`t understand what "completely useless" means. A 75% sound reduction is already quite a lot and will ensure that the killer will most likely not hear you; BUT he has the chance, especially if you try risky plays like hiding behind them or something. "Completely useless" would mean that there were zero chance for any millage out of that perk, and I don't see it.
if you have a at least decent headset they can hear you.
-
all that will change is they will hit it right before running through a pallet or window.

" because you wont get any distance after getting hit" Except you do, except instead of 18 meters, its 16 meters. That still takes the average 115 killer 25 seconds+lunge to close where currently it takes 28 seconds+lunge to close. Thats a save of 3 seconds. If you think that 3 seconds is gonna be the difference between not finding a loop, then you're simply not cut out for this game. You need to be visually within distance of 12 meters before the chase even starts. When walking in a straight line, that means 7 seconds already passed + 15 seconds, means 22 seconds before bloodlust 1 starts. If you do not find a loop in 22 seconds and cant block line of sight for longer than 5 seconds, you've simply been outpositioned and deserve to be downed.
That's in a straight line which most of the time you cant do in this game and have to take in consideration of not going towards gens so it doesn't disturb a survivor working on it. your also not taking in consideration that the killer is faster than survivor base speed. Your not going by gameplay and just by numbers like the devs who know nothing about this game because they dont play it and just crunch numbers.
-
Dead hard sucked anyways sb for the win with 99 which is dh on crack.

The thing is, you still dont need to drop pallets quickly, the only reason you would need to drop pallets quickly, is if you've been relying on Dead Hard to save pallets, in which case, you suck. If you need to rely on any perk to not pre-drop pallets, which you claim you HAVE to do now, you simply have not learned the basics of looping.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3017688#Comment_3017688
"comboing loops is a loop" You cant combine things and say they are the same other than chains and holes. You can chain loops, but thats not the same as looping. Looping literally is local, comboing loops is part of chase. As for countered by bloodlust? Nah, not really, you can easily break bloodlust by keeping line of sight broken for 5 seconds, which happens at tiles, and bloodlust t1 still takes 15 seconds to appear AFTER chase has started. Chase doesnt start untill the killer has already closed the gap, so it basically takes the same amount of time. It's simply faster to get bloodlust t3, which now takes 5 seconds longer than current bloodlust t2. And honestly, how often have you seen killers reach Bloodlust t2 in the first place?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3017678#Comment_3017678
Tunneling was always a problem, anytime a survivor gets out with less than 10k BP, I guarantee you they have been tunneled. That is a problem, the buffs literally prevent killers from counting to 12-ish and then hitting, bypassing BT and then eating DS early on, then count to 12-ish again and get them out.
Now they cant bypass bt and are forced to hit someone who is likely being protected by endurance, they cant start mass slugging because of the buff of WGLF, they can still camp, but other than Bubba facecamping, you'd still quite easily get out or at the very least hooktrade. Both giving more room to survivors while unhooking/being unhooked, and in compensation chase has been slightly reduced. This entices killers to try and hook as many survivors as possible, because that will legit be the fastest way to get kills now.
No I don't use perks so I wont rely on dead hard I think its a wasted perk slot sb is 100x better but no its because you wont get any distance after getting hit and they will be right on you when getting hit giving you less time to get somewhere to loop. So best option will be to use dh for the 1 extra second and drop a pallet right away to get a little more distance to the next loop to then get blood lusted on if its a long wall. the literal only safeish pallets now are pallet window gyms. Which can also get blood lusted. But if its a blight or nurse your just dead lol. Tunneling is a loopers dream i loved getting tunneled so how was it a problem? Camping is the problem.

At this point flashlights should be taken out the game you survivors don't know how to use them right all you do us use them to bully the killer for what? "Fun" to make yourself feel good for constantly clicking in the killers face or a constant sun and then teabag at the gate endlessly because oh I suned the killer 20 times
Please it's times to take the toys away from the babies
flashlights are the weakest item in the game.

Ds is pointless dh is pointless. Definitely resilience and thyself well maybe unless swf with bnps so and the other 3 perks you mentioned is new meta. Gens getting 90 is pointless when the new meta will be gen rush.

Except that is looping a killer, its not a loop untill you stay at a tile. Not pre-dropping pallets is looping, if you consistently pre-drop pallets, you're not looping and thats super boring.
So in fact, staying at a single tile and mindgame is optimal, as it breaks chase and doesnt give bloodlust quickly, while shift+w gaming(the boring one) gives bloodlust quicker and gives the killer a quicker way to catch up.
So what's boring here? Let alone that you havent really given a reason that tunneling got buffed, when there are more perks overall to discourage it. "yeah, but ds gets disabled" I can hear you say, but yeah once all gens are done. At that point it cant really be considered tunneling anymore, cus no one is being focussed to be removed early from the game.
Comboing loops is a loop also not staying at one tile if you combo loops without dropping thats looping which is now countered by bloodlust. Ask any loopers counter to looping its bloodlust what they needed to do was fix maps not add more bloodlust.

I only recall 3.
Soul Survivor. No one is gonna run this perk outside of going for n adept. No one as it does nothing.
Deja Vu. This might see some use, but 5% faster gen progress is only gonna save 4.5 seconds. Added with how gens will now take 90 seconds to finish, even if you never touch any gun but the ones Deja Vu shows you it will take longer to finish any given gen compared to before. Plus. If you do that then you are gonna lock yourself into a nasty 3 gen situation making late game hell for Survivors.
Overzealous. This one could be painful. 8% is a sizable amount, but it's still only gonna save you 7.2 seconds off of a gen so gens should still be slower than before. The massive 16% boost though, that's nasty. Thankfully it's only if you cleanse a hex totem. And cleansing a totem also takes 16 seconds anyway so that'll prolong a game as well. Overzealous is also limited as there's only 5 totems in a game and the perk turns off if you get wounded. In short, it helps but might also be a negative if you go out of your way to use this perk.
I don't see any of those perks being that much of an issue. SS is worthless, DV can get yourself trapped into a 3 gen, and Ov has both a warm up cost and is a limited resource competing against other anti totem perks or Boon perks. They got buffed, but I just don't see them getting used over other options.
Yea the other perks they buffed dont do anything what 3 perks you think your about to see the most with a tool box and a bnp?
-
@Predated said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3017272#Comment_3017272
You do realize that if you use pallets correctly and dont greed them in dropping, you can legit run a killer for 5 minutes? 300 seconds is enough to finish all gens. And yeah, that 5 second basekit and haste will reduce tunneling, then you have BT increasing that time by 10 seconds, and Off The Record giving an 80 second endurance effect, because do you know how peopel tunnel now? Wait 12 seconds, hit. Now they would have to wait 80 seconds for that hit, or hit ASAP to catch up quicker. So yeah, killers will eventually start hitting super fast.
Its not the basekit BT thats going to stop them from tunneling, its Off The Record that makes it beneficial to no longer wait.
So really, what tunneling got buffed?
Thats not looping a killer and is boring as hell to watch.

No, you are just super bad at theory crafting.
So far it looks like you don't know how to loop if you think this will ruin looping.
Windows are exactly same for example.
Nemesis, Blight, Demogorgon, Huntress, Trickster, Trapper, Hag, Hillbilly, Bubba, Deathslinger, Executioner, Twins, Artist, Cenobite, Nurse
Will not change much or get worse with perk nerfs.
Killer who will benefit from this:
Onryō, Oni, Ghost Face, Plague, Legion, Spirit, Clown, Pig, Doctor, Shape
The killer who will benefit most is Wraith.
Yea im bad at looping sorry lol i dont know why all the loopers are saying the same i guess? you'll see what this game turns into done conversating with someone who dosent see whats going on enjoy the game though i will be going to another.
-
Hell at this point i regret buying the game and spending money on all the killers survivors and cosmetics.

How many times have you as Killer ran up to a gen only to have it finished in your face? Those added 10 seconds should make those cases much more rare and allow you to protect what would have been a lost gen with at least some time to spare.

Sure they use it around unsafe pallets, but it's not that effective. I rarely get past Bloodlust 1, but usually not even that. Bloodlust 1 is same.
Looping is not thing of the past, you are still going to loop killers. Many killers will change very little.
survivors that loop are complaining
Every survivors loop, it's the only fun thing about this game and so far you are crying most.
It's not whole different game, lot of killers will be exactly same or worse because of perk nerfs. Changes will buff mainly m1 killers, who needed it most, so changes for killers are great.
Every survivor loops if you go down to in most games within 10 seconds or you dont know how to not throw down a pallet and run a are with combos you are not looping you are just spamming space while running.? That is a laugh no they dont. Look this changes the whole game to gen rush hold m1 meta for survivors you will see. I see where they are heading their game toward.

This event brought on the gen rushing but the devs just added the gen rush meta with this update you thought gens were bad already just wait.

I already uninstalled the game during the anniversary thats how many doubts i have.

No, he won't. That extra movement speed is enough for it.
He might be able to get it with addons, but definetly not basekit. I will test that on PTB.
10% gen breaks -> nice looping
Pallets, swings -> you can't loop Nemesis / Demo? They are already destroying pallets faster and recover faster. So that won't be an issue. Interesting is that they are going to have an option M1 vs M2.
Bloodlust? Again mainly M1 killers, offensive powers remove Bloodlust and you usually don't get past Bloodlust 1, which is same.
Just test out the ptb ull see looping is a thing of the past. Theres a reason survivors that loop are complaining its not just us crying its cause now the game is a whole diffrent game that we would like to play. Enjoy 30 min killer que times. Ive seen plenty of non m1 killers use bloodlust for an advantage.

How so? Changes are helping mainly M1 killers, which is good thing.
You can't loop killers because of 10% speed? Git gud then
There are some issues for sure. Mainly Nurse and camping, but Bubba won't be able to kill both survivors, so that's good. So probably best camper is going to be a Trickster.
10 % speed more blood lust 10% gen breaks and swings bro its not just percent on 1 thing.... How will he not? he can still hit you twice off the hook instantly.
-
@DaddyMyers_Mori said:

Then what is your issue?
You don't get any distance now vs you are basically unhooked healthy.
Off the record buff is better than current DS.
Ds was already nerfed to the ground the point is there is no more looping the only fun thing in this game is looping and chase now its just gens and .....unhooks i guess? My issue is faster pallet breaks regen after swing less distance after getting hit. All a killer needs now is stbfl play with your food bamboozle and i dono whatever else they want to bring that got buffed.
-
look at this right here best description I've seen and where anything do you see good for survivors?
