The 200% reduction is just the normal speed a single survivor takes to repair a gen. Survivors would really completely forget about that gen they started, in order to get any benefit from it.

Eruption will work with the normal regression speed. Not the 200% from overcharge and dragons grip will be as meta as its right now. (nobody uses it)

eruption works as normal but call of brine gets a 200% boost plus dragons grip is good with the new gen regression 2.0 build.

Bloodlust is not fit for purpose under its current mechanics. If a killer is struggling to catch a survivor - why should breaking a pallet reset the clock?

It's hold W gameplay anway - not like anyone plays the tiles anymore when you can just run to another.

I fully agree you should get a tier up every pallet that way killers will have 1 hour wait times.

  • @FlameLickVA said:

1 second is a lot of time compared to 0.5, 0.5 will make the perk VERY good for VERY good survivors

Nah this perk only works 50% of the time even when timed right perk is dead. Went down plenty of times while the perk was still active.

Ok. But there's your problem. You DON'T consider camping for a reason(like a 3 gen) as camping. However the game can't differentiate between camping for no reason, and camping for a reason. So no. You can't punish camping. When there are legitimate reasons to do so.

Good thing is I'm just going to use bubba and auto get mmr for 2 kills probably 3 now.

Nah, overcharge having such a slow start will prevent it from becoming meta. Just as call of brine or eruption aren´t meta right now. Sure, you´ll see killers test a variety of combos of those perks, once the patch goes live. But after 2 or 3 weeks none will be meta.

What do you mean even with the slow start you get a 200% reduction with call of brine and eruption you get the reduction plus if someone gets hit with it they cant do anything for 30 seconds by the time that 12 seconds is done the damage will already have been done just throw in dragons grip for insult to injury. Its already the meta in the ptb. Over charged is still a great perk.

I am in the U.S. and by and large my queue times as killer are less than 10 seconds. During the anniversary event they got longer, but we're talking less than a minute. And now my queue times are back to near instant.

There is no version of reality where I can see killer queue times being 10-30 minutes, even if you were to halve the survivor player base.

Guess well just have to wait and see right.

  • People leaving the game even during the event people have been leaving.

Makes sense from what I've read the problem is in America this game is mostly populated by European players.

Oh man, if only they gave you three team mates to do any of those things.

You're right, there really isn't any counter-play! It's just you vs. a killer. Why does anybody play this game in the first place?

And Circle of Healing is TOTALLY useless. I don't know why 1-2 people bring it every match. What a bunch of dummies, huh? Good thing we know better.

Who said there's no counter play? I just said its going to be ridiculously harder and if your in a solo q no you dont have 3 team mates you have 3 competitors due to mmr. CoH isnt useless but its a really bad perk to run when you can just bring a med kit and bang gens out instead its a crutch perk for low mmr players. If you see 1 or 2 a game then well maybe that says something about your mmr.

  • They will killers have already been complaining about que times I wouldn't say 30 but anywhere for 15 to 30.

  • @Adjatha said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3057318#Comment_3057318

Gosh, if only there was a way to turn off Thanataphobia or some way to disable Pentimento.

Good thing Circle of Healing was removed from the game, all totems start pre-cleansed, and hexes can't be broken.

Yea while your getting chased by a Killer and trying to do gens and on top of that with plaything cant hear them unless you get your totem then it can get pent right away 5 times lol thana is easy too get to I don't see your point. CoH is one of the most useless perks in the game it makes you stop doing your primary objective just to run across the map and heal easier to just bring a med kit.

  • The meta for killer is still overcharged call of brine eruption and whatever your heart desires.

the meta for survivor is gen rush any way possible.

  • @jesterkind said:

Wait, why wouldn't basekit BT help against tunnellers?

Campers I get, that strat got indirectly buffed if and only if you're playing a killer that can interrupt unhooks consistently, but tunnelling categorically took a hit. You don't have to worry about teammates farming you and you cannot be hard tunnelled off hook, on top of getting a wayyyy better anti-tunnel perk tool at your disposal.

I'm also not sure how this'll translate to "killing solo queue". The only reason tunnelling would be a problem in solo queue is teammates farming you/abandoning you, but with the measures they're implementing, you're guaranteed a chance at getting to a loop, no teammate coordination required.

    Its already happening.

  • @Adjatha said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3057108#Comment_3057108

You're kidding yourself if you think ANYONE will run Ruin. A perk that can be removed in the first 14 seconds of a match is only worth the risk if it provides a MASSIVE utility. As it stands now, survivors can completely ignore it with no appreciable penalty and it just sort of goes away if the survivor team is ever in a tight spot.

Thanataphobia is good on the handful of killers able to spread damage quickly and reliably. With CoH staying perfectly intact, it'll be exactly as useless as it was before, even with the GAME SHATTERING +2%.

Pentimento is one of WAY too many killer perks that require you to run another perk to make it viable. If you're trying for that, you have to run Plaything and that's two perks to maybe sometimes get a brief window of slowdown (that survivors can remove at their leisure).

And Thrill of the Hunt? THRILL OF THE HUNT?

    Oh you joker.

Yea but thana and pent make the gens take 3 min.

  • "New" meta

    Killer - Gen regression

    Survivor - Gen rush

    I guess that's new lol.

Ok now what exactly can BHVR do about people not being on gens ? Self care in the corner ? Who can't loop for longer then 10 seconds ? BHVR can only do so much. At the end of the day. Player agency is the ultimate factor

Problem is the game is going to hemorrhage players again. The steam charts are already showing a decline before the event even ended.

Uh huh. That's an old trope. If you heal vs. Legion with thanat, and if you can make the heal take less overall time than it took them to find and injure you then it is very wise.

Sitting on 4 gens with full thanat is about the dumbest thing you can do vs. Legion. You're not gonna win games vs them with that ideology.

Only time to heal is with than besides that just go slam gens.

  • @YOURFRIEND said:

You can now dead hard while corrupt puke is midair. It's the same counter as before, maybe better if your timing is decent.

Legion? I think they'll suffer a bit. Easy injuries mean very little if the survivors heal fast enough to not make it a time deficit. Botany knowledge got a huge buff and I don't see survivors staying injured for more than a few seconds.

Healing against a legion is the worst thing you can do.

I want to survive and not to be the only one dying yup I can usually loop killer long enough that others can get away. Sometimes I get away too but I don't want my survivors games be more stressful than killer games as that already is enough and survivor is relaxing...

This is a team game though so if you loop your gonna have to get used to getting sacrificed.

And I'll never understand why there are some players who see the value in playing this game on any higher level than casually. DBD is just a hide and seek game with a horror theme. What reason do people have to be exceptional at a game like this? This game is all about the shenanigans. All about the crazy reckless fun. Its a very simple and straight forward game that friends can goof off in and have fun. I just don't see the value in being a "pro gamer" in a game like this. Do people really want DBD to be some kind of competitive themed game? I promise you thats not why people started playing this game and after 6 years its clear to me its not what most people want.

What is a game you think people should play competitively?

  • @Gamall said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3055998#Comment_3055998

You are completely missing the point. I am not talking about to win or lose the game, I am just saying that hard tunneling does not offer anything to anyone in the game. Playing m1 simulator or chase simulator during all the trial is completely nosense, even though you escape thankfully to the tunneling one surv, you can consider it a win?

It offers experience to people who don't know how to loop well lol. Yes its considered a win this is a team game its supposed to be played 4v1 this is the biggest problem I have is the 1v1v1v1v1 mentality. The point of playing games is to win right and if you say no then you shouldn't worry about if you got tunneled because you don't care about winning.

  • @KateMain86 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3056002#Comment_3056002

And when people start playing the game like this its not really a game anymore in my opinion. Instead why can't people do things like this but do it in a way that makes it more challenging for them, like winning all 50 without tunneling, since they're treating it like a challenge. People coming up with their own challenges that can force them to play in a toxic manner in turn makes the game miserable for others. If they tunnel to accomplish this, did they really win? I guess in their mind they did.

Yes they did exactly and they did exactly what they were supposed to do. Why do they have to do all these extra things that maybe you like doing to enjoy the game the way they are playing it.

What reason do people have a reason to be exceptional at any game the same reason as this. the reason a killer tunnels in the first place is because they know you are weak at looping so the best way to get better is for you to get chased.

But in the most boring way possible. Chase will always be the fun part of DBD and not (or barely) getting chased because the killer decides to tunnel someone out and ignore you is not a great feeling and just makes the game feel stale. Winning may be nice, but it is not a great feeling when you won by only holding M1 the entire time. It just doesn't feel rewarding.

If they tunnel someone out someone's getting chased again by the end of the game. Unless you came in there ready to gen rush with bnp's

  • @Gamall said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3055978#Comment_3055978

That's exactly what tunneling strategy does: 1 people get chased and the other 3 sitting all the time playing m1 simulator. You repeat again and when the 2v1 comes, you basically win. Tunneling turns the game into an awful atmosphere expecially when it's not necessary (most of survs can't loop efficiently), and the game is screwed after few minutes

If your team mates are doing gens then the game will be over quick and you win and if not your going to end up getting chased anyways. If you die and 3 get out then your team won.

  • @About8Genjis said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3055973#Comment_3055973

I am guessing that those are just my games, but in my survivor games, WHEN someone is being tunneled, then it is either

    1. One guy being tunneled out fast, 2nd guy being tunneled out, other 2 being slugged for the 4k
    2. One guy loops for long enough for 3 gens or more to pop, 2nd guy gets camped until death and the other 2 escape

I rarely get games that someone gets tunneled and then the killer proceeds to stop tunneling or camping. Usually killers go all the way and tunnel or camp through everyone and I cannot really blame them. Already started it, might as well finish with it.

And yeah even though the tunnel didn't work if you only got 1 kill by tunneling, it still feels eh for the rest when all they had to do was hold M1, while the actual surv who did most of the hard work died.

Yea but your team won so you did your job.

  • @KateMain86 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3055969#Comment_3055969

I've had plenty of matches where the killer never tunneled or camped and still won (4k). You don't have to do this to win and honestly if getting a 4k is that important to a kill or to be considered a win is it really a game anymore at that point?

Yes its still a game not everyone plays games casually. The majority of people who play games is to win or to achieve something not just to have fun almost all games are challenging to some degree even party games like mario party or fall guys or among us.

  • @KateMain86 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3055967#Comment_3055967

I love interacting with the killer. I much prefer interacting with the killer than doing gens any day. What I don't like is being put into a situation that puts me in a seemingly impossible situation where I feel powerless to do anything about it. I have tried getting better at looping and escaping tunnels and in the rare occasion I do but most of the time me suddenly going into "pro gamer" mode to avoid a tunnel is not going to end well. I have no other incentive to play this game other than for my own entertainment. I'm not going to stress myself out every time I play this game to try to deal with toxic killers who think its Ok to rush down someone right off the hook. If theres anything unsportsmanlike in this game, its tunneling.

I don't know how the new changes are going to affect tunneling. I will try it out when it goes live but honestly I don't see killer mains giving up on trying regardless if BT is base kit. They will figure something out to keep doing it and if they can't we'll just hear more complaining about something that should've been rooted out of this game years ago.

I'm sure when you first started playing and got tunneled you went down a lot faster than you do now. That right there shows improvement and that tunneling helped you get better. Its not unsportsmanlike to tunnel its the killers job to kill you that's the only thing they are supposed to do with mmr being a thing that's the win condition. So in the same way you don't like getting tunneled killers don't like losing because they cant get kills. Camping on the other hand is a HUGE problem in this game if its done before end game.

So what do you play press m1 simulator? Your going to get chased sooner or later the more you get chased the better you get and the less you die.

  • @About8Genjis said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3055966#Comment_3055966

But that is the case for the other 3 survivors. They are not being chased and it is just one surv being tunneled, so the other 3 have to sit on gens the entire time (or occasionally take a protec hit). Tunneling and camping ARE one of the reasons why survivors "gen-rush", cause the killer won't chase them and instead is focusing on one specific survivor until that survivor is dead.

At some point the killer has to end up chasing everyone in most games so you will get your turn unless you have a god tier looper on your team. If the killer gets gen rushed then tunneling didn't work and your team wins.

  • @KateMain86 said:

Its not learning from your mistakes when the killer continuously runs after you right off the hook and there literally is nothing you can do about it. Your expectation seems to be for survivors to have some kind of competitive or high skilled mindset playing this game when that is not the reality at all. Most survivors can't run or loop killer like the top MMR players can and they probably never will. Survivors shouldn't have to turn a game into a job to be good enough to prevent something that killers shouldn't be doing in the first place. People just want to have fun and for survivors there is nothing less fun that being ran down by a killer right off the hook, especially early in the game.

It doesn't take that much to learn how to loop for 25 seconds. With bt and now with base kit bt you can get to a loop 8/10. Like I said you don't have to be the ultimate looper but if you don't know how to loop and don't try to learn you are just going to hinder your team from getting wins. People want to have fun right well looping is fun I don't see what's fun about holding m1 and sitting there doing a gen. You do not have to try to be a try hard survivor just to do the minimal amount of looping to help your team. Every single game you play is a learning experience and you get better the more experience you get.

  • Tunneling is not an issue there is counter play the counter play is looping well and the more you get chased or tunneled the better you will get. Camping just means you suck at the game or you just want to ruin someone's game. Unless its camping end game that's completely fine and adds more excitement to the end game.

  • As stated before just look at the ptb why we have a d/c penalty.

  • I play survivor ill tell you right now tunneling is not an issue at all. The problem lies in camping the only thing a killer is doing when tunneling is teaching the survivor a lesson on how to loop better.

Just because he is a weak killer doesn’t mean he isn’t a problem.

He suffers the same issues as Old Legion did. No counterplay and you will eventually go down if they commit to you. It feels very cheap.

He needs a complete power overhaul imo. I truly think he was the worst addition to the game and It makes me cringe that Devs pushed the All-Kill chapter as much as they did.

He is one of the easiest killers to counter play just find a loop he cant throw over and loop him.

  • @AnnoyingNarrator said:

Picture a horror movie where everyone is in the same call. That is what SWF is.

SWF with Coms is, in my opinion, the single greatest problem in the game because it throws everything off balance.

DBD has a lot of perks that can be broken if timed correctly, but they are limited in effectiveness by that exact same timing. But if you happen to know exactly what the killer is doing at all times, it can be very easy to use these perks to their fullest effect.

As Solo Que, Soul Guard is a perk that will rarely be used. In SWF, it is a very powerful way to deny a down.

Speaking of Perks, SWF can do something so evil and so broken that I consider it to be one of the strongest things survivors can do. They can all play the same character. This makes keeping track of whose who incredibly hard and can easily make it impossible to keep track of which survivor has which perk. Combine this with the aforementioned ability to make certain perks very strong, and you can make the killer have a very, very bad time.

However, it should be noted that not all SWF are like this. In fact, most SWF are just that, friends playing a game together.

This leads us to the reason why SWF is a Deal with the Devil.

On One Hand, players get to play with their friends which greatly increases the amount of enjoyment for many people.

On the Other Hand, the potential to abuse SWF to make the killer's life miserable is now there.

While I don't think that SWF are responsible for all killer's toxic behavior, I do think that it can easy lead to a sort of arms race where killers always bring the strongest stuff because they don't want to have to go up against a fully decked out SWF with a weak build.

SWF, for all of the fun it can give people, completely changes the balance of the game. What is supposed to be four strangers taken from their world and forced to work together despite their differences to escape from an crazed, unstoppable killer turns into four survivors who all have cell phones working to complete some generators in order to escape for a killer that is actually quite stoppable.

so what's your answer to it add another mode make sure you cant play with friends? Lets not play with friends in a multiplayer game = dead ....... Lets get rid of coms = Impossible

    1. I don't know why you think this is relevant. Difficulty doesn't justify being overpowered, but she isn't overpowered in the first place. Also just because a content creator said something doesn't mean they're right lol.
    2. I already think range and three blink add-ons are busted. Basically no one is justifying omegablink either. Range needs a change.
    3. A player with literally thousands of hours and actually quite good at the game is far beyond what the average DBD player is already. There is a difference between someone like that and an actual beginner picking up the same killer. The former already knows enough of the game to work with fundamental knowledge. The latter does not.
    4. Nurse's skill ceiling is proportionate to the survivors' skill at facing Nurse, because as survivors get better at mindgaming Nurse, the Nurse also has to get better at mindgaming them back. And so on, into super high levels of play. Mindgaming is the ceiling, not the blinking itself. You could master blinking to a specific location accurately relatively fast. But making sure said specific location is the one to get the hit on the survivor is what's going to take time to get a grasp of, especially against survivors who are very good at facing a Nurse. You could practice nailing perfect aim Huntress shots at a window or pallet or across the map, but just because you know how to aim where to send it doesn't mean that's where the survivor will be. Where you'll have to blink changes throughout the match on the fly because of said mindgaming.
    5. A good player will win the majority of their games regardless of their picks because they will just outright be better than what MMR matches them against on average. This is why good players win almost every game regardless of survivor build or killer.
    6. Hillbilly is difficult because he is just straight up clunky and underwhelming, and doesn't give out the same effort you have to put in. Also the ability is auto-screwed on some tiles/maps regardless of skill just off of sheer tile/map RNG. As in, his ability is difficult because it demands way more effort than you're going to get rewarded for. That is not a good thing lmao.

in number 2 you just admitted she needs to be nerfed sooo i guess thanks for agreeing with what you have been disagreeing about.

Also, you would realize every single 4K is a 12 hook stage kill if you bothered reading at all whatsoever, because you'd see there are 8 total 4Ks across all killers, and 8 total 12 hook stage matches (which can literally only be a 4K). And every single non-4K has the number of hook stages written.

Just stop. You are an active detriment to factual discussion.

Here I think this person summed it up best

if thats the case im going to do the math now. Also if you knew how to get an average you would know that the less a killer is used it helps increase their average if they have good games. You still are proving my point that nurse got used more so you have no idea what your talking about. The blight was used around 33% less than the nurse shows right there why top tier players choose her. Also they way they set up the table is very sloppy 10 hooks with 2k and saying its 10 hooks total then going and saying 4k and assuming itrs 12 hooks is stupid you can get a 4k with just 4 hooks. If thats the case then 2k is 6 hooks plus the 7 hooks they say equals 13 which is more than 12 see how that can get a bit muddled did you even watch the tournament and write down the same numbers or are you just going by what someone said? If so I have an ocean front property in Colorado you might want to buy. this also dosent show how much each hook or kill was worth also like you said this is one tournament now go pull up some more or is this the only data you go by one example lol. blight has 1 more hook state and got played 33% less so if they you cant even tell what the outcome would be if you used the same games played what if he got 3 hooks what if he got 4 what if he got more 4k's you cant use evidence that isnt evidence its like giving someone 100 times to run a fast lap time then giving someone else 33. Nurse main + soon to be nerfed = Sad SUZUKR the game is in such a bad state they will 100% nerf her just to get people to come back.

Stop talking. If you actually read the post, you'd realize the following:

    Nurse hook stage average: 8.28

    Blight hook state average: 9.55

Go learn what you're talking about before you post more blatant misinformation. It's a waste of everyone's time to have to sort through wrong drivel.

Doing the math on it now and cant tell if they are using the k as a hook state or not but the fact that nurse gets used more than the blight already shows that the nurse is better. so you stop talking since you dont know how to do simple brain calculations. never met a nurse main throw out so much "information" they didnt even understand its really bad to just throw up posts you dont understand. The best part is when he said they had no restrictions and were the best players in the world and they still were getting curb stomped in points to the nurse. The restricted ones are much worse since nurse doesn't even need perks to be good.
