There's no way to keep everyone infected for very long, if you use your Vile Purge on someone and let them go, you just wasted your time.
So basically they want you to tunnel with this killer when they say they don’t like tunneling? XD

Fountains will stay corrupted until all 4 fountains have been corrupted then all 4 fountains will be cleansed if not pick up by the plague
This is disappointing. I was hoping they would allow the Plague to choose to forgo her damaging purge in favor of keeping survivors infected.

If the survivors heal from every single well, therefore corrupting them all, all wells will cleanse.
That makes no sense. And it kills a strategy for the plague to forgo her damaging purge in order to keep the survivors infected.
-
Question: If you don’t use the corrupted wells to empower your ability, will the wells eventually be cleansed over time?
-
She can already just puke on it as she approaches or leaves.
-
The Plague is so damn sexy.
-
I love it. I was hoping she would vomit in their mouths and I got what I wanted.
The only difference is that I was hoping she would force their mouths open and hold him down while she vomits in their mouths.
-
I’m so happy right now...
-
We haven’t seen the Plague’s Kill animation yet and I want to see what the community thinks it is or is going to be.
I called it!!!!! She vomits in their mouth!
-
For the fountain heal, it either needs to take at least as long as cleansing a totem, or it needs to be instant without the heal.
-
Bear Trap is finished. Trapper’s hatchet is finished. Going to be good times.

Corrupt Intervention + Discordance = Early Game Hell

Emblems are pointless because they don’t do anything to actually contribute to the game.

How would that take away from the tone of the game? It happens at the END of the trial and literally changes nothing in game. People compliment each other all the time in the chat. So why not put something better than just saying "gg" at the end of the trial? Also, if you didn't know they already have something like this, but players can't see if they get a thumbs up.
How is ending a game where you’re escaping a killer by running away into the mist (or after being sacrificed to a Lovecraftian god-thing) changed in tone by having the survivors continuing to run in desperation and the killer moving on to the next slaughter by having them all stop and pose while players hand out participation trophies?
For real?
If you seriously need to feel special because people you don’t onowngave you a random trophy that means nothing and gives you nothing in the hopes of getting a random trophy that means nothing and gives them nothing themselves, you need to play something else.
DBD’s entire atmosphere is built aroundkeeping the tone of the game a constant desperate struggle against the Entity. You ended a murder trial and are moving on to the next murder trial. It’s not happy posing trophy time. Not every game needs to have this to be good and you don’t need to know if you a thumb’s up.

Not saying it is Overwatch. But it's just a quality of life thing. Also, what's wrong with borrowing from other games that do things right? At the end of the day isn't the goal to make this game the best it can be?
You don’t get the tone the game is going for? It’s a horror game and even escaping is just running away.
What you’re suggesting would kill the tone and atmosphere completely.

Botany is just the study of plants. And she already has some botanical clothing options.
-
I wonder if the fountains are cleansed of the corruption once the Plague uses a corrupted fountain to power herself up, or if they are no longer useable by the survivors for the rest of the game once they’re corrupted.

True but freddy krueger live in dream realm if he want come to real world he use his victims body he manipulated victims dreams and he can't death etc.
But we can't all skills of freddy krueger
Freddy’s lullaby doesn’t echo around the real world and he isn’t able to just pull people into the real world or force them to go to sleep.
Pinhead is too strong. Maybe Chatterer. But Pinhead will never make it in.
-
I use this one. The jacket blends into darn near anything g while the skirt’s plaid pattern folds when you crouch and look like simple light/shadow.
-
Yes. Always.
I’m not dead until I’m dead. And we haven’t lost until the game is over.
-
Trapper’s Bear trap is coming along nicely. Won’t look exactly like the one in game because it’ll be getting carried for a few hours so we have to make it as light as possible. But it WILL be able to open and close.

He is similar to freddy he can die but rise again
No. Pinhead is beyond any killer in the game.
He has superhuman strength. Knows literally every magic spell there is to know. Can summon his chains and open portals to the mortal realm. He can influence dreams, gets off on pain, and did I mention HE FOUGHT SATAN TO A STANDSTILL?!?

To be honest, vomiting is a very cheap idea. Some putrid haze or fumes or whatever would have worked better.
There is quality horror (scary), and there is cheap horror (gross, gory, disgusting, etc). A vomiting creature clearly belongs to the latter. It would fit well with moronic "horror" games like Resident Evil, but it's so disappointing to see in dbd.
Vomit in horror is like farting in comedies. It's the creator telling you "uhh, sorry, I couldn't come up with good ideas, so I'm just going with the classics".
Fortunately, the other aspects of the new chapter seem nice. But I wish they had had something that fits the atmosphere better than puking.
The Exorcist disagrees with you.

Emetophobia, anyone? Just try to associate it with other things than Vomit, like a toxic sludge. I really hope we don’t hear her like “BLEGH”’Ing.
What’s the point of a vomiting killer if you don’t get the sound of the vomiting? Or the liquid splattering as it hits the ground... or the wet spats when people run through it...

In two weeks I’ll be a (literally) toxic killer who will simply vomit on them. That’s how I’ll deal with them.

How exactly does the color impact skill checks?
The skill checks can blend into the background for people with color blindness, making them nearly impossible to see and complete.

I don't have a vulnerability to vomit, but that would probably be enough to make me quit the game because it is simply disgusting and juvenile.
I can already see camping plagues just continually barfing all over the hooked the entire time.
And now you know why she will be my new killer main. Spreading plague has always been an awesome mechanic for me no matter the game.
-
I would love it if we could turn down the music. It’s gets so loud that I can’t hear anything else. I have issues after being in the service and when one loud sound overwhelms everything else, I can’t manage it and I have turn all the sound down.
So instead of hearing everything until a chase, then hearing only blaring music, I’m forced to hear basically nothing EXCEPT the chase music.
-
Either just make the struggle phase another phase where your character is struggling but you don’t have to do anything, or let us hold the button down instead of mashing.
Even when I am hitting the struggle button I’ll die because the game does acknowledge a button hit. It’s a flawed system.
-
I play other team based games and at the end of the matches you can cheer a player based on performance. It would be nice if DBD had this.
This isn’t Overwatch. It doesn’t need to be like Overwatch. All you have to do is pay attention to the lobby and you know who was playing which survivor.
-
You can run around almost every map in 30 seconds as a killer. Even the slow ones. Not sure what the difference would be in running in a straight line and searching for on eof the special doors or whatever and then waiting 30 seconds.
Seems like it would waste more time than it would save.
-
I personally believe (and have said so since the rework) that this is a huge endgame buff. It’s essentially a free escape.
I think they need to add exhaustion to using DS. This would kill its combo potential with things like Sprint Burst and Dead Hard which would extend the chase even furth AGAIN even though you’ve already chased and down the survivor twice.
It would also hinder the survivor’s escape in the end game because they can’t use the other exhaustion perks.
-
Step 1: Infect Survivor
Step 2: Hook Infected Survivor
Step 3: Cackle as survivor is unhooked, unhooked is infected AND exposed becaus eyou we’re running Make Your Choice.
-
I can see it being a solid basement counter. Have one person on your SWF group equip it just in case.
If someone’s being brought to the basement, sprint down there and get into the locker closest to the bottom of the stairs and pop out to stun the killer and save your friend.
Other than that, maybe some insurance for solo survivors who are working on gens and hear the heart beat. They can move to a nearby locker and wait the killer out, or prep the stun in case they check the locker.
Very situational, but nowhere near the level of the current (or even reworked) DS.
-
We can see the survivors stopping to puke every so often. I’m betting there will be an alert about that similar to a scream with the Doctor.
I’m curious if the effects of the plague will effect a survivor similarly to the Clown’s gas at higher infection levels, or if they’ll slowly accumulate status effects over time (broken, exhaustion, blindness, etc) slowly building up over time and stacking on top of each other which will slowly make the game more and more difficult for the survivor over time.

I think her vomit won't become new madness since it has to hit you directly unlike madness.
All depends on how long it takes for her sickness to reach it's full strenght. If it's too long she may be underpowered if too shor she may actually be overpowered. If devs hit the sweet spot with it we might get killer that grows significantly more powerful as much goes on.
So as always she gets countered by rushing gens xD. As all killers do. From my perspective she seems fun. We'll see how strong she is soon enough.
It doesn’t have to directly hit you. The devs said that there is a progression to how sick you can get.
If it directly hits you then you start further in progression. But if you get hit by the outer splash by it and only a few drops hit you, you won’t be as far into the progression.
-
The best part will be if her Mori has her hold your mouth open while she vomits down your throat.

So The Plague is a new mechanic in the game??.. Doesn't look like it is her special power..
nice this was my 666'th post... until I edited it.. doh.
It is her power. She vomits on survivors and objects and infects them. Infected survivors spread the plague to objects and other survivors while infected.
Healthy survivors contract the plague from the killer, infected survivors, or by using infected objects.
-
Ruin makes it so that there either a negative effect or that there is no reward for good/great skills checks.
Giving a reward with no actual negative effect is basically taking the name Ruin and slapping it on top of a perk that should be called “Free Gen Progress”.
This isn’t a nerf, it’s getting rid of the perk entirely and replacing it with something that just helps survivors when they hit their skills checks.
”Oh no. 8 chances for me to progress the bar faster. Whatever will I do? Darn the killer for bringing this helpful perk for survivors!”
-
The devs said she could vomit on gens, pallets, vaults, etc.
Basically, if it’s a surface, she can infect it.
-
I love the killer. I’m a huge plague mechanic fan. MTG? I played black. 40k? Grandfather Nurgle!
This killer’s ability hits all the items on my checklist and I’m looking forward to her becoming my new main. I’m already trying to think up new perk combinations for her.
I’m wondering if survivors at her healing fountains will trigger A Nurse’s Calling. Deerstalker might be a solid choice for her since survivors can be put into the dying state if they were injured when their plague timer runs out.
Plague up a generator then hit it with a surveillance and you’ll know where the survivors ran to after touching the gen you just kicked.
So many possibilities....
-
Imagine playing Doctor with Dark Devotion. Ramp up a Survivor’s madness to 3 then smack them and let them carry your madness to their friends while they look for healing.

@Mc_Harty said:
Survivors are going to find her bullshit and Killers are going to find her pathetic. Such is the order of things on the Dead by Daylight forums.
I’m actually really looking forward to playing her. Plague mechanics are sort of a thing with me and I love the idea and play styles behind them.
I like the hit it and let it suffer mentality that comes with abilities like these.
But it’s the perks I’m interested in. Imagine playing Doctor and getting a survivor’s madness up, then smacking them and lettting them spread your madness for a while.
-
Solidarity is going to be broken as hell and a staple for SWF groups of it stays at 50%. When you can heal all four members in the time it would normally take to heal two, why wouldn’t you?
-
If survivors get an icon showing who your obsession is, killers should now get an icon to show who has an active DS timer.
-
I mean, you’re playing the Doctor. Could younhave been fooled by your own hullicinations? ;)

I pulled the same trick four times on a Wraith the other day.
I was being chased on the school map and was running from the killer shack toward the house with the garage. Wraith uncloaks and I turn left into the opening of the fence, the left again to head back towards the killer shack.
As soon as I pass the fence I turned left and crouched right beside the fence. The Wraith runs by, looks around me m, takes a few steps back, sees me, swings and misses.
I made a quick run just around him and crouched beside the fence again right behind him. He ran off thinking I had bolted for the killer shack.
The same scenario happened in the exact same way later that game after I rescued someone from the basement in the shack.
Good Times.
