Fountain question for the Plague

If The Plague doesn’t use a corrupted fountain, does it stay corrupted, or will it cleanse itself over time?


Can survivors use corrupted fountains to cleanse themselves?

    Fountains will stay corrupted until all 4 fountains have been corrupted then all 4 fountains will be cleansed if not pick up by the plague

    This is disappointing. I was hoping they would allow the Plague to choose to forgo her damaging purge in favor of keeping survivors infected.

    Its is a shame but it is to prevent from all the survs being perma infect and all have broken effect for the rest of the game

    There's no way to keep everyone infected for very long, if you use your Vile Purge on someone and let them go, you just wasted your time.

    So basically they want you to tunnel with this killer when they say they don’t like tunneling? XD

    Follow-Up Question:

    Do Survivors cleansing themselves at a fountain count toward Nurse’s Calling? Meaning, ifni’m close enough, will I see their aura as they try to cleanse themselves of infection?

    Its not related to the fountains, but a question nonetheless. Is Corrupt Purge affected by insta-downs (NOED, Devour Hope, Rancor, etc) or is it treated like hatchets and Feral Frenzy?

    No, cleansing is not considered healing.

    Nope, not effected. Only her m1 can do that.
