The short answer on the question of the thread is:
Because there is nothing to gain, besides headaches.
Headaches, because of a rising toxicity, because of dominating 4xswfs and well performing coordinated survivor groups.
Headaches that you maybe play a killer who can't handle the red ranks like the famous 3, or maybe famous 2 since the last nurse patch. Don't have read the nurse changes yet, but when I see the forum threads in this forum... They seem to pretty unhappy.
Some might say "then play Hillbilly!!!" and while then another killer would make the game more boring, because more of the same killer (yay...) in the same ranks, it would not make me happy.
Why should someone play with a character he dislikes, in a toxic enviroment, where he has a high chance to lose a match because of highly organized survivor groups, under the stress of doing your objective fast as possible, for nothing to gain?
Well besides headaches... of course.
-
Thanks @FireHazard .
Your in-depth answer has help me a lot. Well, its Ghostface then, I guess.
-
Guess, that comes sooner or later as a cosmetic. Would just be logic.
But sometimes, survivors seem to think that the Legion is anyways a survivor. In very rar cases (maybe 2-3) I have seen how survivors have run towards me, as would they think that I am a fellow survivor (definitely not like the runner-survivor type).
-
You guys make it difficult :).
-
Maybe it would help if the game develops no rushing feelings.
Currently, if a survivor or killer plays for the win, instead for fun (I know that can also hang together, but its beside the point now), they will either rush the generators or try to kill everyone fast as possible.
While you doing it, you thinking more on your objectives as on anything other and of course not any atmorsphere.
So, maybe we need some more game modes.
Maybe a new game mode with large maps like the autohaven and the only objective would be to survive for 10 minutes and if a survivor got caught by the killer in this time, the timer would go higher for 2 minutes or so, so that killers get a bit of a reward for being active and not just staying in a corner.
Oh, and in this game mode survivors should already die by the first or second hooktime.
In this game mode, survivors would at least need think more on what the killer does and what he will probably do to them, as on a generator. The stealth mods should btw. be mixed with the standard maps, so that not everyone is running around with the ultimate stealth perks, because you know...? The other maps could still appear.
-
Maybe some random effects.
As example: If a survivor runs it can happen that he falls over a stone.
The chance that this happen, should be really, really small, because a game mechanic like this can start be really annoying, but it should still strong enough that it sticks in the mind of the survivors.
What I know... Maybe a 0,010% or so.
So more that it has a placebo effect, just a other way around.
Imo, to many things are just too static and with this predictable.
-
I like to stay "true to the nature of the Legion", aka. I use "Discordance" and "MadGrit".
"IronMaiden" is a bit weak, so you like to throw it out sooner or later. I use also "Bitter Murmur" and another random discover-perk, since my weakness is to discover someone.
I have no problem with mind games, or to bring someone down most of the times, but maaan... I am a blind fish^^.

Two things;
1. I don't care if someone feels pain or not. If someone is stronger than you and can handle themselves then you're going down. They are going to knock that knife (or broken ruler 😁) out of your hand and knock your ass on the ground.
2. Legion can down survivors even when they are not in frenzy mode. Out of all the killers they are the most implausible to physically dominate these survivors even in the confines of a fantasy world like Dbd.
Most of the other killers I can buy being as fearsome and physically dominant as they are. Some are supernatural, some are monsters, some are massively physically imposing or have abnormal superhuman strength. Nothing about the Legion's back story suggests they are anything special. Just a group of teen vandals who killed one person between the four of them, and even then it was Frank who forced them to do it.
I know people hate the Legion nerfs, and it does suck for Legion fans, but honestly it feels apt they are the weakest killer in the game because against the likes of Trapper, Myers, Freddy, Hag, Spirit etc they are out of their league amid this clan of monsters, supernatural beings, pro serial killers etc. They're just a bunch of teenage hooligans. Their backstory is the least impressive to me.
To your first point: That's ok, if you ever face a guy in frenzy, he will also not care if you have experience with guys like him or not (I would be surprised if he even realize something besides his anger).
But if you like to research 1 time a little bit about it - There are tons of storys of such guys from psychiatrics (especially the ones with former inmates from jails in it), jails and rumors you hear if you go often out in at least run down discos and so on.
Honestly, I would not like to face any of the dbd killers. They would in reality even more horrorfying as in reality - because there are no stuns and weapons are dangerous.
If you got hitten in real life by the big axe of the huntress as example, I assume you can call yourself lucky, if you can still walk after that. No matter were she hits you with that thing.
-
@Dwight_Fairfield said:
Some killers should not even be a threat to survivors. You trying to tell me the bunch of uppity teens that is the Legion would have the likes of David King, Jeff etc running for their lives?
Hell Laurie Strode and Quentin would kick their asses. They've gone toe to toe with Michael and Freddy and survived.
You answer shows that you have no experience with people in frenzy and real knifes.
I don't know how it is in your country, but sometimes in small shops in my country you can buy knifes.
I had 1 time do it by myself, but this knife is really laughable. The knife I had bought is made out of weak materials and probably I could break it in half. It almost feels like a Cosplayer-weapon, back in the days where no Cosplayers have exist :).
So I get why you think that a knife is not terrifying.
However a complete difference to that is as example a army/combat knife. If you hit with such a knife someone, he will definitely be heavy injured, or maybe even dead, because of the length of that army knife and used materials and also the sharpness.
And what frenzy matters...
Well ask people that work in psychiatrics.
The people that go in full rage mode even without a weapon, don't feel pain while they attack or getting attacked, are faster and stronger as a normal guy and usually need 3-4 Caregiver with sedatives to get them down...
Well that are the Legion guys.
Just ask a random Caregiver about those guys, usually everyone of them learn to know such guys after a while in the job.

No longer losing your power when you miss would be a godsend for me
My computer is a potato powered by a hamster in a wheel so i have to play on pretty low fps
Ad that with that i have the accuracy of a stormtrooper and i miss pretty often
There should be some kind of punishment but losing your entire power and eating a 4 sec stun just for missing once really hurts
I have similar problems.
I have always around 2, 3 and 6 pm a bunch of lags. Its not dbd fault, but I assume programms on my system searching for updates on that time, or also install them.
As a result, if I play around that time dbd, I often run into a handful of strong lag-spikes.
I assume, I don't need need to mention here, that it is very easy to do a miss hit under this circumstances.
Also I had 1 time a match with micro-lags. I am sure that had nothing to do with my system in the first place. I had in this match every few secs a small lag. That was actual a terrible experience.
-
Well, some survivor would then know why its anoying :).
-
The entity is not pleased.
-
I still watch him from time to time, but I have mostly switch over to english lets players (like Oxhorn as example even he makes no videos about dbd), or his girlfriend Pandorya because she plays also a lot of horror games.
But nice, that someone still remembers the hwsq dbd episodes :).
I need to admit -I still play also sometimes like them a bit, if I got not "distracted" by dailies, or the new archive missions, or if I am not in a bad mood.
What I mean is, I play more for fun and less for the win if I got not distracted by the things above and also very often - let someone go.
-
I have first hear of dbd in old lets plays of Gronkh&Pandorya. 2 german lets players.
I was interested after a while in the game and have search if there is a killer that could interest me.
I was not sure if that is true, because they stopped playing dbd after... I believe Freddy? and so I didn't know every killer that was released to the time I got interested in dbd.
Luckily I found then the Legion dlc in the steam store and the official trailervideos of the Legion on steam and youtube and so I have bought dbd then.
TL:DR I had watch a month or so dbd videos and search on steam for a fitting killer for me, before I bought the game :).
-
I am not sure if the Legion should get a stronger dw back.
To pre patch times, the forums were full of people that were blinded by the exploiting Legion and the op addons.
You could a hundret times tell them how it really was and they had still only those Legions in their heads.
Yet, were dw is weak, bhvr could do potential anything with the Legion, without being afraid, that they would make the Legion op (as long, as not another exploits shows up).
I am a bit "ok" with the dw changes of the Legion, because of exactly this reason.
At the current state of the Legion, she is so weak compared to some other killers and specific situations in a match, that even a survivor mob like in the past with a wrong picture of the Legion, could not hurt the Legion, because her weakness is just to obvious for everyone (ok, for everyone besides total beginners... before someone comes with that up).
I prefer some frenzy changes while we still in the all-is-possible-deep-dw-nerf-water.
-
That m1 attacks have not an impact on the frenzy abilitie.

The FF not going away after missing a hit would not be good since you literally can't avoid the hit which would be frustrating but a good idea is so you only lose 50% of your bar on a miss it'll be more in line and punish you a lot less for missing your power, plus you could use the ability to get distance by just stabbing the air which looked dumb. But I can agree not letting m1's affect the frenzy meter would be nice.
Oh, sorry. I may not have expressed myself well enough.
I had never in mind, that the Legion should find a "new exploit" to move longer in frenzy.
Imo, frenzy is just a cool special abilitie because she is short. Imagine you would be able to run with frenzy 2 minutes+ (as an exaggerated example) - after a short time, I bet the most Legion players would find this abilitie boring.
So, even with no missing hit penaltie should frenzy never be any longer as now imo.
What missing hits in general matters...
I can only talk for myself here and I have two examples for you:
I had a long time take a break from dbd.
Before my break, I was good enough to make at maximum only 1 missing hit in either m1, or frenzy.
Now, where I have come back I lay between 4-2 at the moment/each match. I assume in a few days I am back again at the rate before my break of dbd.
What I wanted to say with this is - the change would anyways have only a small impact in a real match. The biggest benefit would be surley for the Legion player, because he has 1 reason less what could rob him of his fun and for survivors would almost nothing change.
To all this, I need to say that I think, that I am only a average Legion player. I mean, before my break from dbd I had only 1 time reached the red ranks for a short amount of time and then decided to stay at the mid ranks and afterall... You can only be so good as your enemies because that's were you training yourself on.
TL:DR I bet there are a ton of Legions out there that not even miss a hit a single time.
-
I just wait for the Oni nerf. Not that think he deserves a nerf - I have not even play him/face him once, but if I think on all the other killers after release...

getting the max kills is exactly what makes a killer strong, unless I'm a god?
His statement was not wrong.
1 can be good with a killer, without that this killer has a good basekit.
If being good would be a sign of that a killer, or survivor is op/balanced/use the word you like - then every killer and survivor type would be op and dbd would have no balance issuses, since I bet that every killer has some players that make with them 4k regularly and also survivors have for sure always someone who is on the winning side, no matter with which crude tactics and perks he is playing.
What the topic matters:
To make the Legion a lot more balanced and also fun would be necessary, imo:
-Let m1 attacks not impact on the frenzy cooldown (mainly because balance).
-Throw the stun for a missing hit away (mainly because of fun).
Because of the other penalties of the Legion that would be still active, I don't see here any balance issuses. As long, as bhvr not touches the dw mechanic, they can't make anything wrong imo.
I bet those 2 changes could be make in a day. I mean, I am not a coder, but comon... How long can it take to make that happen?
For sure not long.
And I like simple, but efficient changes.
-
I think the game should be balanced around 4v1 maybe even *5v1.
*Why 4/5v1... That was just for me a other way to say that killers should be strong enough to struck fear in the hearts of survivors.
Some people say a win should be "earned" but I am not sure if that really describes it, imo.
The survivors just should go out of a match and got their "adrenaline dose" and say to themself "that was a hell of a match" - if they survive the confrontation.
The problem is, this you will never achive with killer/s that are to weak. If a basekit of a killer is to weak, the killer becomes more of a clown where survivors can make fun of, as that they would feel the pressure to do everything necessary to leave the map, as fast as possible.
And that leads me to the opinion that many killers should be buffed (not all). Imo, they should be slightly op. Slightly, not op af, because then the fun turns into frustration for the survivors and in boredom for the killers (like it is also pretty boring when you play a killer that is weak *cough*).

I had it happen a couple days ago against a Pig. Killer just sat around the corner from me. Luckily, since I play solo and can't communicate that, nobody wasted time and came for the rescue. My only problem as a solo survivor is that unless I bring in a certain perk, I have NO way of communicating anything to other players. It's all well and good to say "don't go for the rescue" but that's part of the survivors' job along with doing gens. As a solo player, I'm tired of seeing people DC after being on the hook for 4 seconds because they know more than likely nobody is coming to the rescue and don't want to stare at the killer while they just hang there. I also don't feel like losing a perk slot is a fair compromise when SWF doesn't need a perk to communicate either. If it's something like that, it needs to be an inherent ability otherwise, that means everyone has to adjust their playstyle to accommodate it which defeats the point of unlocking various perks. There is a such thing as unfun matches which, is fine but it becomes an issue when people are miserable while they're trying to learn the game because obviously, some players are more forgiving of new players than others. Survivors need to learn how to bide their time and learn how to put the pressure on the killer to leave the hook as well instead of just complaining all of the time. I don't know how many matches I've played where ppl see me LEAVING the area of the hook and keep heading TOWARDS it only to be downed because they couldn't understand what was going on and went for a save anyway.
Honestly, I've felt like a mode where rank doesn't matter, a casual mode if you will, would solve the issue for new players and a lot of players in general. Take away rank and most people will just play for the thrill and the fun of it. If people want to be ranked, they'd have the option.
Far as I know, many survivors "communicate" that they are getting face camped, or that the killer patrols nearby via their "body language".
What I mean is, they attempt to struggle with the entity but they not really go so far that it would count as a struggle attempt. And that they make over and over again.
Have seen it multiple times as survivors and also a few times as killer when I was near by the hooked one, because I was on my way to damage a nearby generator and so on.
So, next time you are in this situation, try to do the same. I assume, not every survivor knows this part of "survivor-communication" and some survivors will also not care, because they will unhook you at all costs, but imo many survivors understand what it means if a survivor struggles in the described way on a hook.
-
*was on a new prestige legion with a nearly fresh...
Damn guys... Why I can't edit my postings here anymore ? :(
-
Have today facecamp one myself, the third time in my complete "dbd-career".
That guy needed to run purple and second chances perks, while I was on the the with a nearly fresh and new Legion on rank 17. Also he had acted like he was a god and full of selfesteem...
Guys like him, I will always facecamp -when I am in the mood for it- no matter how many blood points/ep or whatever I would lose for it.
If someone plays like a jerk, he has to be punished. That is just the natural order.
Survivor who act not like jerks -that is the overwhelming majortiy to be clear- I sometimes let go or just play normal with. Without facecamping and all that crap.
-
Aw... I have forget a question I have, since I have come back...
My chat getting auto disconnected after... I don't know... 20... 30 secounds? Is that normal.
I would like to talk with the survivors after the game, but with only a short window of 20 secounds in mind, it makes no sense. Can I somehow avoid this auto disconnect?
Not every chat in dbd has to be toxic. Sometimes also friendly or funny chats can occur.
Edit: Uh... Thanks for the fast answer. Wish you guys a good day/night or what ever it is in canada.

A lot of the concerns about old Legion were that once he saw you, you were a guaranteed down. Frenzy was easy to use to keep getting hits and was incredibly difficult to avoid. Even if it was time consuming it felt ######### as a survivor to know you were going down no matter how you played a chase.
Not guaranteed, but difficult.
It is imo important to make this difference and to not exaggerate, since we live in times were bhvr just seems to throw nerfs out because they have wake up in a bad mood, or whatever.
Sry, I still can't take the Legion patch seriously. He is so far beyond everything I have seen before in multiplayer games, what buffs&nerfs matters and that say I as a guy with more as a decade on multiplayer games experience.
I could have live with nerfs. Something like frenzy 10% slower, dw 30% less damage over time, or so, but this... This is just a experience to remember, whenever the bhvr symbol comes somewhere up.
-
I voted for the middle option, because as a pre patch Legion main, I don't trust addons and also the basekit is for me unacceptable. I honestly don't know for which part of the playerbase the basekit of the Legion has been designed, besides the people in the nerf threads.
Certainly not for the Legion mains.
They should buff frenzy to its old state and only redesign some addons and make them not to powerful imo.
The main reason some people have complain about the Legion are the addons of the old Legion. Even if some survivors do not have the knowledge to compare a Legion without addons to a Legion with addons, how I often got the image in nerf threads about the Legion.
TL:DR To avoid a second "Nerf Legion wave", after the Legion has finally got the necessary buffs, it is imo necessary to let the Legion only have weak addons. I prefer weak addons above a weak basekit^^.

Srs question. Why do some killers get extremely upset if a survivor loops them? (not talking about teabagging or pointing, just the "playing squirrel" around fences or whatever)
- trying to just outrun a killer is suicide since they all run faster than you
- trying to juke a killer, with how hitboxes and lag are, will very often get you a nice clip of a killer swinging a few meters away, visibly missing, and you getting hurt/going down
- There's quite often not nearly enough stuff around to break line of sight, and even if you break line of sight to try to run, you're leaving big red scratch marks
- Survivor isn't hurting the killer, they're literally just trying to run away
So why do some killers get so upset about it??
I have never been upset about looping, still I not really like it.
It doesn't fit for me to a horror game. I mean - Imagine to see a 5 min+ loop in a horror movie. The most people would leave the cinema, because its often pretty boring.
Also some killers can be looped to oblivion. I remember my days as a noob Huntress without any good aiming - that was terrible :). Luckily my aiming skills have gone better over time.
Also you can sometimes win against a killer, if you just running straight forward. Saw this with my own eyes with dismay as I had play the new Legion on patchday while I was in frenzy. So many to Legions mainpower^^. But I think by now only bhvr and some very masochistic players doesn't know that the new Legion is crab.
On the other hand, there are a ton of killers, where it is only a matter of time until they catch the survivor. When I had play Meyers, Trapper, pre patch Legion or Clown - the survivors had only survive this in very rar cases. With the pre patch Legion had those chases still make fun, because of the speed and adrenaline, but with the others...
I have just thought: "Give up, it does not make sense anyway. You can't win this."
Imo, a survivor can only survive looping or tunneling with the help of others against killers with experience (aka. that your mates finish a generator and the killer has then found better targets as example).
Thats how I see looping.
-
The Legion patchday had made me offer moris and directly a ton of it. Had never use them before and so I had and have still some stacks of it, how I have last time seen, as I had check if my dlcs are still attached to my account^^.
-
Because you get pressed into "us vs. them", even if you have the best intentions in the forums and I make here clear a difference to the forums and the game.
While I have met in the game survivors and killers with whom you had a friendly atmosphere, here in the forums you get often confronted with ideas and views that let you no other choice as to choose the site you like and understand more.
That is at least, how I see it and I know, my point of view will never solve the problem^^. But sometimes it is just as it is.
-
@Peanits said:
Comparing the two is like comparing apples to oranges. The Legion's ability basically revolves around vaulting pallets. While you're in frenzy, it's almost as if the pallet isn't there. If the pallet breaks, you more or less lose a big part of what makes them special and instead have a flashy pallet breaking animation.
The Demogorgon, on the other hand, can't vault a pallet. They still need to break it. Shred still has a pretty lengthy cooldown when breaking a pallet, so having it break pallets by default is a pretty small change.
There we have the same opinion.
Still, the Legion needs buffs, or a rework again. Especially what frenzy matters and the unfun penalty mechanics.
I don't understand honestly for what you guys are afraid?
Even every possible change to this two topics would still make the Legion not op, since dw would still be gutted.
Imo, the devs should make either frenzy, or dw great again.
Even if I personally would prefer frenzy and not dw.

And the advertisement video of GF? No argument dude. I enjoy playing current legion, but pre-rework legion just destroyed every rank except reds. At the moment he needs some minor buffs to his base and some addons reworked.
The only advertisment video I know of GF is where he is in a supermarket. You can compare this advertisment video with the Legion advertisment video with Frank where he kills David. Aka. a advertisment video that tells not much.
A difference is the Legion advertisment video that shows also the abilities of the Legion and yeah, in my eyes a companie needs to stick to what they advertise. If they don't won't do that for whatever reason, they should have made a other, or no advertisment video.
There are a ton of people that buy things just because they have see something in a video like this and while I know that some fanboys will buy everything of a companie what they offer, other people remember this.
Every day where the Legion stays in its current state in this game, it hurts dbd, because the people will see themself that this video is not fitting, aka. that they don't get for their money, what they have liked to buy and here it doesn't stop.
You know, the most people have familys, friends, work/schoolmates and everytime if the topic dbd now comes near them up, they will tell the storie how they got tricked by this game and that means less people that would try out dbd.
With that I don't wanna say "that this is the end of dbd". Of course not. Sooner or later, the whole thing will be forgetten by the majority of the dbd playerbase.
But there will still be people that tell this story in real life and on social plattforms and well... I don't know how many dbd makes/month, but I know that their 100% cut of money would be bigger, if they would have also the Legion playerbase on board.
To do this, they should put the Legion again in a place, where she fits to the advertisment video.
I don't think that many people who have watch this video, have think much on the possible damage, the Legion can deal (because that hides the video mostly), but they have thought that they would be fast.
And the Legion is today not anymore as fast as in the days back then.
In situations where survivors need to show skill in the past, to survive, they don't need to show it today anymore. They just need to run straight forward and they are faster as a guy in frenzy.
A faster Legion would nobody kill. Remember that the Legion still would have a 4 hour... sry... 4 seconds stun after frenzy (the dbd devs way to kill every possible fun a Legion player develops while in frenzy, I guess?).
Argh, yet I have write again such a long posting. I don't wanna do this anymore. Well... :/

No. Legions URs are fine. Other addons not tho.
That only can someone say who not care about the Legion playerbase, or didn't know it better.
The Legion had a unique playstyle and no matter what some people think about that - as long as the Legion fits not again in some way to this unique playstyle (how ever that will look at the end), she is not fine to the people who have bought the Legion because of the advertisment video of the Legion as example.

They also now swiftly respond to graphical issues to those that run the game on Low, such as the hair pixelation and muddy textures.
Its less of a matter of them hearing and noticing the issues people report, and more of a how long to implement type of thing.
They also now do a monthly Dev Update where they talk about hot topics and issues within the community.
Sounds far better as it is imo^^.

The Legion needs a ton of buffs, to get rid of this stupid and disastrous patch bhvr has put on them, but please not that.
The devs should imo concentrate on making the Legion fast again, so that she can reach a survivor in the same time span as the pre patch Legion at least (still asking me for what the devs are afraid? Too much fear that a Legion would hit to often a survivor with the useless dw abilitie bhvr? Anyways...).

Yeah...if it even works that way. On PS4 I rarely get matched with red rank killers or survivors. I’m at Rank 1 by the way. I usually get matched with survivors/killers rank 9-15. That’s when I play solo.
My SWF group are ranks 7, 8, and 16. I don’t mind getting red ranks killers, I just don’t wanna wait an eternity to get into matches. There aren’t many red rank killers in my personal experience. I see more green and yellow ranks than anything.
Let it me say on this way:
I was as a killer never against swfs. I have seen them as the ultimate teamplaying mode in a multiplayer game, what dbd is and that had mean, that I had to deal with them - it was afterall my decision to stay on the killer site.
That said, if bhvr is ok with it (again that is ok and also how it should be), then they should every killer buff, so that a large part of the playerbase of killer X, can see a chance in red ranks (not everyone, but the majority as already said).
Then your problem would fade away and it would also a solution that would benefits killers and survivors.

Being happy cause SWF are being nerfed into ground? Whats now the purpose of playing SWF-Squads while having a high rank player with you who ######### up all other survivors? Taking highest rank is the same dumb ######### as saying the lowest rank should count. Thats one of those changes that will backfire really quickly cause peoplle cant play together anymore, cause theyre srewed up by their own teammates.
Balancing after highest levels/ranks is nothing bhvr has invented nor is it uncommon in multiplayer games.
I appreciated the changes. As I had started with dbd, I had played in high ranks as killer until I decided to stay at low ranks after a rank reset.
My reason for it was mostly because I had nothing worthy anymore see in staying at the red ranks. Even the "challenge" argument had not matter anymore since you had face red ranks on rank 15.
When I now like to get a challenge, I need to rank up first. With other words, finally a reason to do it :). Would the devs now finally give me a reason to play the game again, I would directly start to push some ranks up^^.

Is it worth to purchase?
Is it really that bad?
How good is at collecting BP?

Can it be purchased with diamonds?

-Prefer m1 killers and as a consequence of that a killer that mainly should use his m1 power since his frenzy and dw abilitie has a ton of drawbacks (sooner or later you will stop using those powers - at least the most Legions do it because every killer like to kill sooner or later someone in a match).
Don't let yourself fool by the advertisment video of the Legion from bhvr. It shows not the reality.
-If high ranks are not where you like to stay for longer, as you need to say "f... how I have land here?".
With this conditions in mind the Legion can maybe ok for some people.
Edit: I like to say, the maybe in the last sentence should be seen as a very big maybe^^. Don't be mad at me if you later end up with a killer that makes no fun :|.
Edit²: Just buy something else, if you like to buy something. I guess that is the more honest advice :(.

Bah. Jeff&Kate have to be on s with Claudette. The rest are just wannabes :P:)

As I had my second time face a tryhard 4swf with the pre patch Legion.
The whole match they acted like they would be untouchable and they were also pretty good, I need to say that.
Then the gates had gone open and I catched 1.
Soon, the rest of them rushd me and tryd to bodyblock me, only to discover that I had MadGrit running :).
You could literally feel the panic in them as they have got it, but it was too late. 2 had fall fast down, only to watch how I had hooked then their mate.
1 could run away, but instead of chasing him down, I had decided to give them the win since they had played good and I had fun in this match and so I turned my back on them and had move to the other end of map.*
In the endgame chat they were grateful and we had talk a bit^^.
Edit: *That was my way to show the last survivor that he has nothing to worry anymore.

Well, you know what you're both right.
Omg I would have never told that discussing in the dbd forums could be so difficult. Anyway I give up, you won.
I have my school's homework to do :(, I'm not a nerd able to be so technician in a game.
Sorry, I was not trying to upset you.
It is just... Sentences like "all do this, or only those part of the playerbase matters" are often not good for a dicussion and also most times wrong.
What the topic matters: I have with you just talk about your argument, not your opinion to it.

So demonstrate what you're saying with a video. Ps I want all survivors to be at least in the red ranks and have more than 1000 hours
Don't think thats a solid argument...
Sometimes, someone plays dbd for a day and he is better as some people in months.
I mean, you can also see it in dbd low ranks. Sure at rank 20, all running around and trying to find their playstyle, but after my experience, already with rank18+ you can see the first in some matches that make some things better as people in higher ranks.
-
Mhm, don't know if we could put Huntress so high.
I mean, I know she can instant down someone and I had also with her success when I have play her, but the forum postings about her are often mixed. So, I feel a bit mixed to put her in either of your categorys. She is just a case for herself :).
And what the Trapper matters... Maybe it is because a inner trapper sleeps in me :), but I was with him always very succesfull. No matter if on low, or high ranks. That said, he could use some small buffs, like more traps at the beginning, or a shorter cd on traps laying.

Not agreeing with someone's opinion = they are immediately wrong 🤔. OK.
But seriously if we are talking about dbd in general, old Legion is one thing to talk about, and if you decided that most of the community uninstalling and having DC rates going sky high is "fine", then idk what your thinking. I miss old Legion as well, but its better having a killer who's crap than having a killer who was both crap and annoying af to deal with.
Changing Legion was one of the good changes to the game for DBD in general as ppl stopped dcing at first and player retention was improving slightly. That itself improved the health of the game vastly.
Besides old Legion was a 110% killer with a tunneling machine power that you could only stall out by doing a vaulting juke so many times, plus Legion had the lunge exploit and moonwalk exploit with his Frenzy reduced cool down mechanics and the deep wound mechanics.
Finally, no. We are not making the game free to play, skins themselves already cost bombs like 10 pounds per skin, unless u wanna grind your heart out for iri shards and save up but let's be honest who is bothered for that. Making the game f2p would just make the skin costs rise so much more, and more emotes would just lead to more toxicity. T bagging and fingerpointing already cause enough problems for some people, having some stupid dance ain't gonna improve anything
Edit: I just checked back on the thread u made and literally everyone said a flat no to old Legion whilst one was kinda defending :), the majority says its a no
Always when I read things like that, I ask myself... "Where is the evidence from that guy?"
I mean, he says "most of the community uninstalling and highest dc rate"...
Did you have access to informations that we as ordinary users not have?
Otherwise, you are just hypocritical and entitled in your opinion. Either because you don't know it better, or on purpose.
So... Where are your hidden statistics? On which official site we can watch how many people have deinstall the game because of the Legion (besides steam)?
Besides steam, because steam shows the opposite.
Shortly after the Legion patch you had see a small pitch that has go down in the player numbers, before it has later recover again.*
And that also fits to my personal experience. After the Legion patch, me and 3 of my friends have stop playing the game.
3 of this guys (inclucsive me) were either Legion mains, or have them at least sometimes play. 1 was a survivor. You ask yourself maybe, why a survivor would leave the game if a killer gots buried to death with a patch like the Legion patch?
The answer is simple: He was already bored by dbd and to take one of the few things out of the game that have entertain him with something different as always the same m1 killers, was not the brightes idea, bhvr had towards survivors like him.
While others prefer to stay in their comfort zone (that is ok), others need to have a challenge (and that should also be ok).
Edit:* After a month or 2 was it, I believe.

Does Dead By Day Light developers listen to the community or Not? Because alot of feedbacks/suggestions given by the community about so many things in the game but i feel like they are not listening to any of it ? I have played the most famous and success game in the last 2-3 years which is ''Fortnite'' and when i was contacting with a support for some issue or a suggestion they always listen to my suggestion and they always have contact with the streamers&Pro Players to ask for their advice about how to develop the game and what should be in the next update i mean i dont understand i feel like this game is getting worse!!
Can i get an answer from any Admin here!?
And one more question why not make the game for free? there's so many famous games free to play and they earn way more millions than any not free game! by Skins & emotes .. etc.
I hope the community take this seriously.
The game is imo for free... Sort of. It is really often to have on Steam for 50 (or even 75?)% off inclusive all the dlcs, besides the newest dlc.
Imo, dbds problems are more:
-The balance since the most killers are underpowered and solo survivors can have it really hard.
-That it is not realy friendly to new players (dbd should have better tutorials for beginners, maybe even link to YouTube videos from streamers that make tutorial videos, so that you can watch those videos while you are in the main menu of dbd or something like that [would also help them]).
-That the matchmaking likes to put rank 18 together with rank 2 and other "jokes".
-That they seem not to care about what they advertise and what is then in the game - the difference of this 2 things can make people upset that are not mindless sheeps.
-That it is always the same. Always the same objectives and mostly the same type of killers (m1 killer). For people that like variation is that terrible.
TL:DR Dbds problem are not to get new players, but its problem is to make them stay.

This game is labeled as a "asymmetrical horror" one could argue that it really is neither, at least for experienced/good players.
The fact that after a while the game gets figured out and you either conform to few proven paths, or go your own and accept that the game probably won't be in your favor.
I think this comes in part partially for the fact that survivor's are pretty much guaranteed to escape when the game is trying to be balanced around two escaping. This can only lead to certian builds, intended to take advantage of the key conditions in order to win, and will rule the game.
Survivor's expect to escape - so they must do gens, and asap because the killers are expect two get to kills (let's be honest they expect 4). They are in a race to do so before the survivors who are rushing to not get killed power the gates.
The perks and character that allow each side to do the best will set the tone of the game because most play to win.
This game is shallow and all of us were OK with that because it wasn't trying to be more then it was, which is a glorified version of freeze tag. Now it is trying to deepen its self, and allow people develop certian play styles but with pre-set stats, and this doesn't seem to be sitting well with many of the gamer demographics. Too intense for casual gamers and an on the rails for rpg/character development folks for example.
I don't think gens need to be increased or that a second objective is required or nefring noed or removing moris ect....... is going to fix this. Surviving and killing needs to be harder and or more based on skill. Stealth players should be able to play and win differently then in your face aggressive players.
Essentially this game needs to be left alone soon, and they need to start working on larger, or more in depth version of their dream. The current product doesn't seem to please many.
I would not ask if surviving should be the expectation. Rather I would say, it should be earned.
Of course, it is hard to earn anything, if the killer is op, or underpowered. In the first case, you won't be able to earn anything, in the second case you earn nothing and just outmatch a killer who have it 3 times harder as you.

The thing that some people imo not get is, that it had give 3 type of Legions in dbd.
1-The default pre patch Legion. You can see this Legion in the Video from Monto.
2-The pre patch Legion with op addons and exploits. You can see this Legion at your favorite streamer that likes to show how op the Legion was, because he could have never show it with the Legion type 1 of this list.
3-The new Legion, we all more or less know.
This Legion has maybe a better killrate as bhvr said it 1 time, but she makes no fun and as a Legion player of the Legion from category 1, you don't have see the point in the nerfs. Also you had usually not a toxic endgame chat in my experience.
Would the people be mad at the Legion, I as example should have had a toxic endgame chat, but I had mostly not a single toxic person in it.
Also I wouldn't take dc'ers as a pro reason for whatever argument.
DC'rs are toxic people, that also can be banned for their behavior (luckly). Would their opinion matter, I could also say that Legions have only exploit to have a chance with their poor basekit.
But I didn't, because exploiters need to be banned, end of story and the same counts for dc'rs.
Maybe I see that too tightly, but even if that is the case, I don't think its wrong.
If someone has a problem in the game, he can write in the forums, or on other social plattforms and personally I will never see in toxic behavior any sort of value.

I like stealthing around a killer aswell, I like doing silly things for the memes, I like interacting with fellow survivors... none of these involve being in a chase.
So you are wrong.
The videos showing counterplay were already posted, reply to them how they aren't actually counterplay, or you saying "there is no counterplay" is as irrelevant and silly as someone claiming the earth is flat
Thank you, but as you can see - they have their opinion.
They could see it with their own eyes and they would not even take it for real.
Not that they even try it. But that is a common and not Legion unique, or even killer unique problem.
The people complain about something and then they do nothing, as that. Even if it is something easy to do, like to press 1 time your mouse.
The are really like flat earthers^^.
Edit: And this was also the reason why I had not write a tutorial. Why wasting 20 minutes and writing a tutorial? The "but the Legion was op, even there are 10k things that proves me wrong here" sentence would have come anyways.

oh yeah, right.
if you enjoy sitting in one spot for 80 seconds, holding M1 thats good for you.
i personally prefer interacting with the other players and having skillfull interactions with them - sometimes beating them and sometimes getting beaten.
sadly, legion does not offer that. they press M2 and then they catch you within the next however it takes them to recharge their ability 5 times.
thats not a fun interaction, you cant do anything against it. this is what he ment by "legion chases too long" - he leaves no room for skillfull interactions and there is no need for legions to mindgame at all.
just like @PolarBear said - legion ignores any defenses the survivors have without any counterplay, which makes him just unfun to go up against.
I have seen pretty skillfull chasing interactions in Legion chases, if we talk from a Legion without the op addons.
If you don't believe me... The videos are linked in this thread that show a bit of it... They are just 1 click away and yes, I know the Legions were all bad. It has nothing to do with it, that they don't have use the op addons. No, no.
Anyways, time for me now to make a new character in Conan Exiles^^.

All counterplay against Legion relied solely on either specific items (flashlight, firecrackers) or the killer being bad. As long as the killer knew these tricks they wouldn't be a problem for them anymore.
Yes, it took time to down someone using FF but it was unfun because you knew you had no choice in the matter. If The Legion was even a mediocre player, they could down you with FF. Your skill didn't matter, that's why it was unfun.
And that was every game. FF->hit->wait for cooldown->repeat (interactive gameplay amirite?).
Old Legion was like a bad version of Nurse. He ignored survivor defenses but he was really easy to play and really bad at killing, the complete opposite of Nurse.
Sometimes it is really hard for me to read out of postings like yours (no offence), if you mean the Legion, or the Legion with op addons (that were 3 in my opinion, Franks Mixtape and the 2 addons that were also be used for 1 of the exploits - I guess you know which exploit I mean).
If you talk about the Legion with op addons, you are right that in a match could situations happen, were the survivor had no chance, no matter what he has tryd (still, that was a addon problem, not a Legion problem from my point of view - reminds me a bit on the nerf threads about Spirit this days in combination with her op addon - when I can believe the Spirit nerfthreads in this forum).
If you talk about the Legion without addons, or without at least the op addons, there was a good chance for the survivor to survive. You see this Legion in the video of Mookywolf.
And that was not always because the Legion was bad - even then this explanation lets you stay in your comfort zone - it was because of the limitations the Legion basekit had.
Of Course, some Legions were bad players, but nobody can serious think that every Legion main was bad and if he does... Well... then he is definitely not the right person for such, or even any balance discussion.
