Legion :)
But mostly because I can relate to their story. Not that I have killd someone, but the partys, the relationships... The stuff around them is something most people can understand or have experienced by themself I guess.
-
Guess it was a shocking experience :D.
Honestly, I thought this bug would not exist anymore.
-
Sepultura with Bloody Roots and Garbage with VOW and Only happy when it rains.

lol, didn't know about that band
Then it was time :D.
-
Garbage is one of the best... bands! :)
-
Mixed. Had some games were I totally dominated the survivors, while by other I had feel as I would run against a wall.
Toolboxes everywhere, but well... Live is life... rhm... Dbd is dbd. Up and downs everywhere.
-
Back in the day, there was a bug, that lead to 2 killers in a match. Guess, the survivors in those matches were not so happy, after they discovered that 2 killers are hunting them :).
-
Would very hard for me to just meet #1, but if we talk about "real life" Emily Watson from Equilirium, or Melanie Papalia from Smiley.
Only dbd - probably Julie... But I would never turn my back to her. Don't need to have a knife there :).
-
Mhm, don't know if I should take Meg or David, so let me take them both out.
Meg because of her perks and David because how he looks :).
Killer, Leatherface.
-
I wouldn't say mastered, but I think I am pretty good with Legion and also not bad with Ghostface.

While picking up a survivor, you should be facing a wall or making sure theres no survivors around if you CANT face a wall (infectous fright works well to do this FOR you). Even though you're locked in an animation during that time, doesnt mean your completely helpless on preventing a flashlight blind.
Uh thanks. Even with I don't know how many dbd hours I have on my shoulders - I thought always I would be stuck in the animation until you are back and can move again.
Besides that I had never a problem with flashlights^^.
-
While you are picking up a survivor, there is a short time window, where you can't avoid being flashlighted. I guess that is because of the "transition" between the animation and the normal gameplay. Don't know better how to describe it.
But besides that and the famous pallet-flashlights, you are right^^.
It is a very small time window and the most survivor's miss it, but like by anything other in dbd - some have exactly there level their flashlight skills to the max. :|.
-
No they arent.
But as I see it as killermain, they can be sometimes very frustrating, if a match runs badly, or the flashlight survivor is always right on spot when someone is on his way to his hook.
That in combination with the pressure, you feeling sometimes as killer, can for sure sometimes enrage killers. Especially if they getting flashlighted in situations where they can't avoid it.
My advice is: Don't think on any negative comments about that too much. After a stressful game, many people say things they would usually not say. Bet they have forget the match already 20 minutes later and so you should do it also.
-
Around 20 euros* I guess. I have bougth the most cosmetics for the Legion girls, Julie&Susie.
*Not all to the full prise, because from time to time they are cheaper to get in the ingame store. So, that's why "just" 20^^.
At the moment my Julie wears the original mask + her "dark clothes" outfit and Susie her original mask + the christmas sweater. Both have the prestige knife.

We talk about faitugue one or the cooldown which allows you to use the power? XD
Sorry, I'm tired
I guess we talk here just about that he likes to use frenzy whenever he like. So, without the need of a full (100%) frenzy cd.

Which cooldown? XD
Guess he mean the frenzy cd. Frenzy had always a cd, but in the first version, you could use it whenever you wanted.
The only drawback was that if you have started frenzy with as example only 20% "refill" of the cd from frenzy, that you could only use a frenzy then with a 20% of its full duration.

"I miss him being braindead and having no counterplay"
Yeah,I figured out why so many "Legion Mains" think their killer is bad,LOL.
There are a ton of activities in dbd that have no counterplay, or require only low skill.
Or did you think that:
-Using a key
-Using moris
-Using a ton of second chances perks
-Using noed
-gen rushing
-face camping
shows "skill"?
It makes sense that those things are in dbd (besides the one or other perk maybe), but 1 thing they all have in comon -> either they all need no skill, or they reducing the necessary skill to achieve your objective to a bare minimum.
So don't let us please talk about skill until we all esl pro-gamers, mhmkay?
-
I miss those times also, but don't make it more beautiful as it was.
Survivors who got hitten, had always then got a speed burst, like by any other killer attack also.
Still, to run behind them and just hitting the air, to rise the "stress-level" for the survivors was golden :).
I even believe, that this sometimes had lead to some mistakes, survivors have made.
The devs reason to take it away was, because they thought there would be no counterplay and skill involved.
While we can discuss about the skill thing (that is imo more standpoint loaded as any other argument, besides maybe "unfun"), there was counterplay, just not always.
But in dbd you run often in situation were nobody has counterplay and the most of those things still exist in dbd. So that can't be an argument.
Edit: 666 posts WEEEEE :D. That has to mean something, I only need to discover what... Hm...

The first big Legion update did not significantly alter their killrate. It did, however, lower the DC rate against them by 40%. So I remain unconvinced that it was a nerf.
I usually tend to have a similar opinion like you (similar, not the same), but here it is were we seem to distinguish massively in our opinions.
-1) If I can't do anymore the same actions with my character like before, it is for me a nerf. From case to case, the stats -or killrates- stay maybe stable, but still... - You can't do anymore, what you could have done before.
A lot of fun could come back to the Legion, with a few small changes, btw.^^. *insert advertisement for a new Legion patch here :D*
-2) I would never care what dcing people think. Don't understand this now as a accusation towards you from me. It isn't. It is just my standpoint to never give toxic people (and dc'er are imo toxic) any turf. If someone is annoyed by something - he can write nerf threads, or threads that he is unhappy about the path, the game or programm is going.
If he starts being toxic, I immediately don't care anymore what he is saying, or what he is thinking.
Especially as a "honest" Legion player (that has never exploit and son), I had feel me betrayed on 2 fronts, to that time. 1x because of the exploiting Legions that have do anything in their power, to make a nerf necessary and then a second time, because it had look, as would a companie also see "dcing" as opinion.
I see "dcing" as a ban reason - no matter about which game we talk and that is everything I can say about dcing.

So a 71.2% kill rate at red ranks is 12/17? How do killer mains continue to say the game is unbalanced? That means the top killer is likely above 75% or close to it. I understand the numbers get some inflation from weird things but damn. 1/4 chance to win as a survivor and yet we have all the advantages and the game skews towards us. 🤣
Both sides getting nerfs *head shacking*.
Also not every killer has the 71.2% kill rate. Some have more, but the most have less. Even the Legion has less under different cirumstances, if you have the stats read completely and not just fly over it for cherry-picking.
-
@twistedmonkey said:
Thanks for the stats Almo they are always appreciated.
I sometimes wonder if they are appreciated though as if it fits what one wants to see they are right but if it doesn't they don't mean anything and should be disregarded.
What it comes down to is trust. If you will never trust the devs no stats will ever matter.
Stats also don't reflect someones fun aftwr a change so there will always be a discussion on that point and tbh no one is right or wrong in that discussion as it will always be subjective to ones personal taste.
I feel the Nurse could do with some stats released after the change not only how well they can do but also how many play her compared to before the change. Many other factors could also be shown regarding travel time without hits, blink misses between all ranks and separated ranks along with them for each platform.
Again the Nurse stats won't show a degree of fun but less people playing may be an indication of that. We could then compare it to the most viable killers like Spirit or Billy to see if those numbers increase. Also add in Trapper since they are in the rift after all so that could account for lower number of any killer.
I always appreciate stats, because they bring something to look for in the jungle of 1001 opinions, moods and standpoints.
I also think that the new Legion patch was a good one - otherwise I would have still stay away from dbd.
Still, the Legion was nerfed so much with the first Legion patch, that I think that the Legion could need 1-2 small patches.
-
Legion.
I like the story and the memories on the old Legion and also the gameplay of the new one a bit.
Maybe a point is also that I had often partys, like I imagine the partys from the Legion were, before the entity had taken them into the fog. And I like such partys and also the memories on them :).
-
Imo, it is not only the question of viability that matters, it is also the question if something makes sense and if it "feels good".
If I think on frenzy in movies - it supports often the picture of a "unstoppable force".
You see this "effect" by many hero, or villan characters, before they going rampage.
And I would like to have the same picture again by the Legion.
While frenzy itself deals no damage is it itself just a very fundamental ability to feel "unstoppable" as the guys from the movies and as such, some of the restrictions on it need to go.
Frenzy need not just be fast, frenzy need also to give the player the feeling that he is "free" and if we look at the moment at frenzy, you don't feel free.
There are still some restrictions on frenzy that should be go. Imo, that would also not cause real balance issuses. Sure, the Legion would be a bit stronger with more changes by the frenzy ability, but after all - frenzy is a non-damage-dealing-abilitiy.
So the impact of taking more frenzy penaltys away would be little for survivors, while it in return would rise the fun for Legion players on a big level, imo.
That is just my opinion to it.
But thanks for the information @Almo . Personally I hope for 1-2 more small Legion patches that contain at least this.

No pallet there is really safe so you need to change your playstyle on that map.

You can blame the Challenge system for the sweaty play, or gen rushing. They are hurting the game a bit right now. It will slow down eventually, once everyone is done.
If they implemented a Unranked/Ranked game modes, or even different objectives besides gens, it would make for a better experience. Sometimes I really dislike being in red ranks because of the competitive nature and toxicity/sweat. I would like to just playa match sometimes and just goof around and have fun without worrying about depiping.
Every objective that can be rushed, will be rushed by players. No matter which side.
The only way out is imo either to have no time limit at all, or to set a timelimit.
Like the deathmatch mode, you maybe know from other games - potentially those matches could run days, if not the lifes of 1 side would run out at some point.
Dbd could have a new objective mode that would help: Survive 10 minutes or so against a killer. After 10 minutes the gates would open automaticly. No gens and only 1-2 times a survivor can be hooked. With each hooked survivor the match time goes up for 1-2 minutes, so that a killer not just stay in a edge - waiting for the end of match or so.
Those matches would be a dream for every blendette in the fog :).
-
I know it already.
Just imagine my situation:
-I have not played dbd for months and just follow the patch notes.
-Those patch notes have talk from map reworks and so on (in parts).
-And then I had saw this map, my first time.
I have not rant about it, but as you maybe can imagine, I was surprised.
-
Well, I was just surprised. Always you read that pallets getting reduced in number and then that. That had make my "tactic" to take the pallets early out impossible.
Still, it was not a bad game. 3 kills.

Locker Mains. How have you not heard of that one before?
Dwight hides in a locker all game, Meg is a toxic tryhard runner, Claudette is invisible in tall grass, and all Jakes are only in it for the sabo build.
Every OC meme/negative stereotype from the start of the game.
Bet the devs had dwight in mind as they made the perk "Iron Maiden" :D.
-
Imo is the Legion viable as long as she encounters not very good survivors and/or swfs.
Then it is mostly as would you run against a wall, if you met the wrong survivors.
By many other killers you can still try something (not that everything from that would be succesful), but by the Legion is then just the end reached.
So, I would not say that the Legion is viable against all survivors.
Some small buffs would be needed to reach this goal. If those buffs would be the right ones, they could also take some of the frustration out, that you maybe sometimes have, if you are playing the Legion.

I want Legion to be stronger but i don't want to ge back to the days that people quit on the spot the second they saw ýou were Legion

I think the stun time is kinda a tough subject, it can't be too short cause survivors do need to be able to get somewhere after the bassicly garrentied hit FF gives
It is very long right now though
Yes, but how many time need a survivor today to get away from the killer, if the killer not moves, or walks in the wrong direction (basically the blinded stun situation)?
Today, survivor's can move indescribably far if they have the right perks and not too much in their way, in the time until the Legion stun ends.
The Legion stun after frenzy is imo a "get free card" for survivors if they make not something fundamentally wrong.

I also agree the Legion needs some tweaking
Mostly on the restricting factors of his power, especially the harsh penalty on missed attacks in FF
Yeah that actual would be in my eyes one of those "fun" things. Every killer develops with time a high hit rate anyways. On the other hand, -to run always around with the chance of getting punished for a missed hit in mind, is pretty unfun. At least in my eyes.
But for balancing I think, m1 attacks should no longer interfere with the frenzy ability. Also the stun after frenzy is imo too long and should be reduced about something of 2-3 seconds.

I haven't watches the whole thing yet but he seems to do pretty good
I like his videos.
Even I have not the same opinion about the Legion like he has.
I still think that the Legion could use 2-3 small buffs for balance and fun reasons.
Some eyeroll maybe by the word "fun", but since the word "unfun" was an argument against the Legion, it is only fair and equal towards survivor wishes, that we can also use the words "fun" and "unfun", imo.
-
Nurse - Just not my playstyle. The dailies for the nurse are sometimes a pain in the a**.
-
Every killer can destroy a survivor group in even less as 4 minutes (well maybe not Lf and demo-whatever, don't know them).
That says nothing about the killer. It just say that some guys had a reallyyy unlucky match and maybe have also make it too easy for the killer :).
-
Is the game not more enjoyable with punished dcs, thread starter?
I know a lot of people that are annoyed by dc'ers. I have never really care for them, but I had it also always find unfair for the other 3 surviors, if someone dc's.
In dbd matches are 5 people. Not just 1 and there is no place for something like dc's, imo (if someone has no real life reason for it, but if I get a phonecall, or someone is on my door - then the 60 sec? dc penalty would not interesst me anymore).

This is why I've always said all maps need to be the exact same size with the same amount of pallets, and same distance from doors. Placement and everything can be random but those things need to happen.
I have a lot of experience in making maps. I making them as a hobby since Halflife 1 times for a variety of games and after my experience - that would be boring.
Sure, the same size... That is something that could be done with any negative drawbacks.
Also, the same amount of pallets, but the same distance to doors?
That's a too hard restriction to the creative mind that trys to make those maps imo.
Edit: I mean, we also like that the maps are looking good, or not? And not the same over and over again...

Yeah, I have already read your thread and write there :).
I am sure, a third Legion patch will come - sooner or later.
It just has to be, -for balance and fun reasons and I am curious what this patch will contain.
Maybe even ideas from the community, or maybe also just that they delete some stuns to take the unfun things from the Legion away, or smaller things like this.

High mobility? I don't think so, Let's do some math. (I'm not very good at math but this shouldn't be that hard)
So, normal Killer travels at 4.6 m/s, Legion's Feral Frenzy lasts for 10 seconds and they move at 5.2 m/s, so 4.6m * 10s = 46m and 5.2m * 10s = 52m sounds pretty good right?
Now let's count in the Fatigue after Feral Frenzy, Fatigue takes 4 seconds, so normal Killer would get 4.6m * 14s = 64.4m total, And the Legion will get 52m + (1.2m * 4s) = 56.8m total. (Just for clarification, in one discussion @Peanits said that the Fatigue speed is 1.2 m/s, you can't find this info on the wiki for some reason)
So no, Legion doesn't have a good mobility at all. You can't see scratch marks while in Feral Frenzy, so not that good for traveling around the map either.
Taking away the m1 penaltiy, reducing the stun after frenzy for something between 2,2-3,0 secounds would give the Legion, the mobilitiy he/she has on the paper.
To say it on this way.
Maybe also reducing the frenzy cd.
A Legion who can faster move away, is also a Legion that is less forced to tunnel. Should be interessting for survivors.
-
Killer
Bodyblocking and speed perks. But I wouldn't call them toxic. It is just annoying for me.
Survivor
Facecamping for no reason. If someone was toxic I understand it. If not, it is highly annoying for me.

They just need to rework their purple addons and MAYBE reduce the cooldown from 4 seconds to 3.5 S.
Other than that,they're very good
I personal prefer a good basekit above addon-dependency.
Also a good basekit would make it easier for the devs. Would be a addon again so strong like the former Franks-Mixtape, they could simply make it either weaker, or even delete it, without being worried to hurt the Legion - or any other killer in a similar case - gameplay and style.
Edit: But that is just my opinion.
-
The Legion was already to pre patch days "weak".
Many forget that some things were already in place, before the rework.
As example the stun after frenzy - this one had also the pre patch Legion. The only difference what this matters is, that the Legion today has a stun after frenzy that is much, much, muuuch longer.
I personally think that the Legion is a very good design, for a variety of reasons, but I also think that every Legion patch had hurt the Legion-design.
As example: Even what other people saying - the last patch was for me a buff towards the Legion.
That said and also the reasons why nobody could "celebrate" it is, because they still have not done what is necessary.
The Legion rework had totally destroy the Legion. It needs more as a few small buffs, to make them again and in some cases the first time viable in situations, that occur in the matches (if I count not the use of exploits and obvious op addons in).
Imo, frenzy should be totally back to its old state and I don't see here any balance issuses, as long as bhvr not also touches dw.
-
@Raccoon said:
It's literally impossible to buff killers in any meaningful way to be on par with/deal with SWF without breaking or completely redesigning the game, given the amount of free information the latter has.
There's a reason why there aren't any proposed killer buffs or ideas ever directly mentioned by the devs with regards to SWF parity - they're never coming, ever.
To redesign the game would not be necessary.
Buffs of the one or other killer, on the other hand...
Swfs will always be a part of the game. Even if bhvr would forbid them, the people would still connect via ts and other services. Besides, it would be pretty stupid to forbid something that is natural for a multiplayer game.
The consequence is, that the one or other thing needs to be buffed on the killer side.
-
I only dodge if I am in a bad mood and see every survivor wearing something multiple times.
As example 3-4x toolboxes, or 3-4x flashlights.
Then I ask myself "why should I do that to me?"
2x toolboxes are regularly already annoying, 2x flashlights can be, if they know how to use them...
If the devs think that such teams are ok, they should play against them by themself -> I don't have always the mood for it.

I've been playing DBD religiously on PS4 since August 2017 and I hate to say but since the latest update, I've been having the worst time playing the game.
On the Survivor side, if you play Solo, you're gonna get ######### on. You teammates seem to always be trash, and I mean noob level trash. And it's not much better on the SWF's side because you feel like your always getting screwed by lag of bugs. Not to mention Mori's, toxic builds, and the general low Bloodpoint gains.
And on the Killer side, it feels like I'm always getting crazy SWF's that will give you a boring 5-min Gen-Rush game. I already don't wanna sweat super hard every since Trial, especially if it's just gonna all be for nothing. Not to mention keys, toxic builds, and the crazy wait times.I
feel like somehow the state of DBD is worse that it has even been, but at the same time it's better than it has even been. Am I the only one who is feeling this way?
PS: I was Rank 1 Survivor and Killer before Rank Reset so maybe this is just a high rank issue.
Pew... I thought I would be alone with it.
I usually play killer and since the last rank reset I run in 9 from 10 games into either swfs, or groups that play like that and that with usually weak killers (ok, the last point is my own fault).
Today as example, I had 2 matches play. 2 times full freaking groups with the most annoying perks possible for me and now I have enough for today.
Those guys are to much for my new bought killer and for my nearly fresh prestige up main killer^^.
I start to believe that no real beginners and solo survivors playing dbd anymore and for a constant fight against swfs are the most killers not builded for.
-
I see barley a use of ds as anti tunneling perk. Most of the time it is in use for unhook guys, or bodyblocking a killer.
Usually that is great because it gives us killers more bps because you can punch something that won't die, but when the gates are open it is terrible.
But don't understand my posting please as a support nerf posting, because it isn't. I know that without such perks, survivors would flood the forums with nerf thread to everything and there I prefer second chances above that, even then survivors turn it into something for what it was never meant for.
