That challenge requires Ace's 3 unique perks.
You can have a 4th. It's not Adept. I had it on Jeff too.
-
Could be an anti-tunnel perk.
If the killer tries rehooking the same person on the same hook they slip right off.
-
I want to play other things.
The Rift is such a slog that I go missing for two months simply because I don't want to deal with it. And now I have to deal with it again.
I finished Red Dead Online's battle pass in a fraction of the time and they have 80 tiers. That was when all the animals were still missing.
And what exactly is the plan for the old Rift items? Not a single charm outside of it has been sold in the shop. Some of the free track items don't even belong to anything.
-
Billy was insta sawing people and turning at right angles. He was stupidly op.
"Perfectly balanced" Ok there Thanos. Balanced by who's standards?
-
Micro sleep is the real offender. Even if you do everything to keep yourself awake, it always oppressively puts you right back after a minute.
I used a clock to wake myself. Whoop de ######### doo. Already asleep again.
Fake pallets are practically a free hit.
And he has stretchy arms. Lunges just seem to go outside his hitbox. Never seen a hit that looked like it physically connected even playing as him.
Feels like Limbo from Warframe. Has loads of problems and people only like them because they make everything easy.
-
He's fine. Just take a moment between each bump to orient yourself.
Like all killers you can fill in whatever weaknesses they have with perks once you get a feel for him.

He suffers from the same issue all middling killers do: no map presence. Dude just has to slowly walk everywhere. Oni can cross the map and patrol every gen multiple times during a power use and insta-down multiple people at once. Bigger maps absolutely annihilate poor Myers. Yeah he's some some silly instakill add-ons but when you get down to the baseline killer, I think the inability to traverse the map and get pressure around just makes him kind of meh.
At this point I think they need to start building killer-only shortcuts into each map, kinda like Demo's tunnels but pre-set and require you to go to one spot to get to another spot quickly. I don't think the solution is to give everyone movement abilities, so having a way to get around built into the map itself could be a good solution that doesn't make high mobility killers much stronger, but levels the playing field for killers who are just utterly helpless when good survivors do gens solo across the map from each other.
Their map presence is in how they zone. Why concern yourself with a gen in a remote location getting done when it'd be a lot more damaging if the ones within actual proximity get taken out? Games slow to a crawl if they notice they could possibly 3 gen themselves. And when they 3 gen themselves, the map area shrinks.
And it works both ways. Survivors have to travel away from gens to rescue teammates across the map. With someone who can down you in one hit coming back to patrol gens after hooking their friend, they'll be a lot less willing to risk their own neck. Meaning more time for you.
I've seen tactics employed by swf where they try to bait you away from gens while their friend slips back on then self care when you leave them alone to re-defend the gen. You can't do that against a Myers.

And with Tombstones he's a walking Devour Hope. 😈
Right.
And op left out how T3 has longer lunges. He practically floats across the level to ######### you over.
-
I really don't understand people's sentiments about saying he's underpowered. Played to his strengths, he's a walking Haunted Grounds.
-
I've always thought that injuring people should give a gen speed debuff to that person. That's my gen speed solution.
But if they did add a requirement for extra parts, I could see this effecting the order of operations if expanded upon. Like people gas'ing up all the gens on the far end of the map and accidentally 3 gen'ing themselves that way. Although that usually spells a loss even without an additional mechanic.
And despite the ability to do gens very quickly, it typically slows down around the last two gens when the killer starts to gain momentum. So while it sounds like a good idea on paper, it can lead to unwinnable situations.
If they tied the idea in with a new killer, it could work. Killers are supposed to change up gameplay. You see boxes spawn with Pig, so a killer that has extra objectives would fit right in. Call them The Mechanic.

Imagine seeing your teammate get slashed with a katana, bashed multiple times over the head with a club, and have their tongue ripped out by a 10-foot demon...
Then you give him a lil' back rub for 70 seconds and he's fine.
As opposed to seeing a hatchet fly into their skull and shake it off? Or concentrating really really hard to manifest into reality a small rock? Also iirc with the lore of the game, survivors are brought back to life after every trial regardless.
This could be an opportunity to see more mini-mori's like Pyramid Head. Those ones being recoverable and temporarily taking a player out, and the regular mori being permadeath. Although PH is more like two permakills since it has the last hook prerequisite.
Humor me. At least entertain the idea a little.

I find Deathbound gives me a giddy little laugh every now and again with that random across the map scream.

The only change thats needed is remove ebony and cypress and keep ivory one morid survivor is plent enough damage. Reviving after a mori and they cant be morid again is just turning a killer offering to another second chance perk for survivors killer addons arent meant to benefit the survivors. Its like saying bnp once used gives a notification and turns gen yellow for 10 seconds. Would you be good with a change like that?
also this would affect perks like devour hope and rancor which already have big enough downsides to.
BNP can easily be rendered useless by regressing the gen it got used on. Most actions can be undone through gameplay.
Even the hatch has more limits in place than mori's do. Mori just pulls the plug on someone and kicks them from the game.
Devour Hope has the benefit of becoming a 1 hit down leading into mori's. Even if you never trigger the mori part. It can snowball games hard. Just hook them.
And Rancor would barely be affected by this change. You still get auras and the ability to off one person. If they decide to try and revive their friend it becomes a dynamic new objective to defend. And even then you could force their hand by opening the door.
And why shouldn't someone only be mori'd once? Why are you only attacking one single survivor? There's four people. It's a normal rules apply situation. Just hook them.

Oh yeah its certainly huge, probably the most iconic scifi action series out there, I was talking more with the context of its support in DBD.
Oh right, I see what you mean now. It's late and my mind is addled by caffeine and blue lights.
I've seen Terminator in a number of action games, and it can totally cross genre into horror. But yeah they would need to settle on what he can do.
The only real iconic look of the T-1000 was the police uniform and maybe the helicopter uniform so there wouldn't be much in terms of flexibility there. And his power would need to be either mimicing objects or people which I'd rather see represented with other franchises.
But no one thought Pyramid Head would be a killer so anything is possible right?
-
@SCP_FOR_DBD said:
I've seen a lot of support for terminator recently. I guess its bigger than I thought.
Terminator has a huge fanbase. Even sparked a genre called Tech Noir. There's also the hundreds of toys and merchandise.
The issue though is it's like Alien and Predator. Too many mediocre movies and games bogging it down with a few exceptions of course.
Though people still love the settings and monsters they spawned.
-
I heard a long long time ago that it reduced the Nurses cooldown for missed attacks. But otherwise it's a utility perk for messing up attacks.
I've thought of pairing it with Mad Grit and Agitation for a slash happy time but I'm not even sure it works that way either.
-
Decisive Strike is a death sentence in that scenario. Then again, isn't it always?
-
Plaid Flannel doesn't show the nuances of not completely charging to go through terrain or other missteps. So yeah it's better to feel it out.
-
Felix's perks are definitely underrated. Bond for generators makes indoor maps more tolerable. Made some decent comebacks with Desperate Measures. And Built to Last I'm surprised I don't see more of. It's made for maps and flashlights.

You must have never played Haddonfield when old BL was a thing...
Let's just OCCAMS RAZOR here and say Ding Ding Ding. This dood got it.
The survivor recovered too fast with the passive and on certain maps could not be stopped.
Going the opposite direction...where? They drop down the moment you go up to them then wait at the furthest end of the loop to do it again. You can either be up or down, but not both.
And if there's a vault in between the drops, then you are guaranteed to be slowed as killer.
-
Nice uhhh ad hominim. No wait, No True Scotsman. Slippery Slope! I'm just reading off that argument fallacy list at this point lol.

You're obviously new to the game. It created no infinites because the killer could just chase you the opposite direction, blocking you from dropping. Even if this wasn't the case you only gained ground if there was a window with the passive before the drop.
There's a reason more people used dead hard than balanced back then.
Holy ######### rofl. You have no argument other than calling me new.
-
You can hear breathing when nothing else is going on. I've found healthy survivors before playing as killer simply by stopping for a second.
-
lol no. It made infinites out of any drop.

Exactly. I really do enjoy playing against Oni, but I just never see any.
Last time I played Oni he couldn't activate his ability.
Probably fixed now, but experiences like that stay with you. Also dailies affect who plays what typically. Seen a string of Nurses and Pigs yesterday.

I recently switched back to killer, as I was tired and embarrassed over the constant mori spam from console killers. Felt I had to show these console survivors that you can play killer without mori, outside Devour.
I had a PC Spirit mori me then farm with the remaining survivors. Don't feed into this platform bs.
Otherwise good on you. Having killers WHATEVER PLATFORM THEY MAY BE ON just murk you after being hooked once is disheartening.
-
@SkeletalElite said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/192901/revive-survivor-after-mori
better change would be to require all survivors hooked at least once before mori can be used. That way the killer has to get AT least 4 hooks. Currently if there is more than 1 maybe 2 gens when you lose your first survivors you instantly lose and moris are really really good at doing that. Having minimum 4 hooks but sometimes more if you end up 2 hooking a person or two would give the survivors a bigger window to get gens done before the killer just achieves their win condition.
I was going for flexibility in my suggestion rather than forcing a specific behavior. If coordinated squads know you have a mori, then they'll just ghost with the 4th person the entire match. That's no fun.

Oh wow you got a whopping 14 forum posts saying he is bad that must mean the entire player base thinks hes bad because surely those 14 people speak for the majority
Give over 3000 examples of why that isn't a sizable chunk.
-
Killers all play differently. There's no best per se' (unless you're going for ease of use) but it more like different game modes.
Survivors on the otherhand are just meat puppets with perks you may want.
-
Still waiting for The Bee with Nicholas Cage as the survivor.
-
Ah, just appreciate the games where they actually do something smart like get you off the killers shoulders, or finished the gen you had to abandon.
-
Do you let strangers wander into your home? They would need to hire them and put them under contract otherwise they become a liability.
Team Fortress is an old game so it has far more flexibility.

Ok thanks I'll note it
In my experience, they try to close range juke you by trying to go into your blind spot. Being able to swivel around makes it easier to hit them.
What perks you use makes a difference too. If you're confident in your ability to down people, then detection perks work just fine. Can't blink anyone if you can't find them.
-
Max sensitivity like all killers.

Thats just not true. Operation Health helped R6 a lot, everyone who is truely invested in the game will tell you that. The problem why many people still have the opinion, that it fixed nothing, is, because they don´t understand, what Operation Health was for. It was never it´s job to fix the bugs that the players werde experiencing at that time. It was designed to change the whole infrastructre of the game. To make bugfixing in the future easier.
For DBD it should be the same. A Health-Chapter should not fix bugs like the "stuck in the hill"-bugs. A health chapter should give them the time and room to reorganize theire whole infrastructure. Be able to change parts of the code, because nobody is inventing new stuff based on that code at the same time into the game. The playerbase would not see most of the stuff, they could do in a Health-Chapter, but it would help the game in the next years.
And that's all going to be dumped on one part of the team. It won't be the art team untangling the spaghetti code. It won't be the sound guys. It's all being heaped onto the code monkeys. And you're asking everyone else to take a vacation. It simply won't happen.
And that's quite the anecdote that it used to be awfuller. I'm just randomly going to throw in a vote kick for you. Aaaaand you're gone. Time to get spawn killed or win automatically because friendly fire is funny.

There definitely needs to be a dynamic RULE system in place to dictate killer behavior. That applies and releases restrictions on certain behaviors. You only see it at the end of the match through emblems, so it really does not have any presence during the match.
We're supposed to believe a magic spider is watching us for its own amusement and actually enjoys watching their champion kicking mud into a corner every gladiator match? That's a big thumbs down.
-
Funny how many of you have already figured out the answer.
A business needs to keep running. And putting everything on hold doesn't guarantee results. It only amounts to a net loss.
It's like running a restaurant. Closing it for a day would be catastrophic. It's loss in revenue and diminishing interest in their product.
Btw Operation Health on RS Siege fixed nothing and it still runs like dog #########. Community is awful too. Lmao.
-
Game seems fine, but the starting cinematic is practically stop motion animation.
-
This list is all wrong. The more supernatural they are, the less trouble they give ol Bats. His greatest nemesis is a failed comedian with a handgun. This is after battling a giant crocodile.
Freddy would be bottom tier since Batman can just think Freddy out of existence or some #########. While on the opposing end, normal human variants like Clown or Pig will have him fighting for his life.
And we all know Batmans greatest weakness is taking in abandoned teenagers so Legion will be defeated, but also converted into crusaders themselves. Think Gotham City Imposters.
-
Sandbagging is literally standing in the way purposely. If I run into you because I'm not running bond or whatever, that's not trolling.
With that said, any killer who doesn't spread damage whenever possible is tunneling.

The annoying part of "Complete this in one trial" challenges is dying on first hook, getting tunneled, slugged and camped. Amirite?
Ehhh killer ones are a bit more flexible in my experience. So that's just people being sweaty. Only one that seems to require much effort in the recent rift is snowballing with Devour Hope. And that's just simply using Devour Hope the way you should use it.

This is why I started struggling with sanctum of wrath and the other maps I listed because often times i can't even distinguish map aspects and characters.
The Saloon is only viable if you're running a stealth killer or chasing people through it. Otherwise that gen gives them every advantage.

I like casual matches myself. Oh I died first hook? Whatever, got a piece of my challenge done.

Throwing it on some perks though like third seal which a bunch of addons already give blindness though or sloppy which a bunch of addons give mangled.
Oh yeah, it's also to avoid stacking 5+ status effects in a single hit.

So basic attack isn't some worthless throwaway feature.
Also functions just fine if there's parameters where you can't injure the obsession. Don't lose tokens using special attacks.

There's not many examples of asymmetrical games that are still being played these days. FT13th? Evolve? Death Garden lmao
Besides asymmetrical doesn't hold much weight on these forums because many many many players are under the impression 1 survivor should be able to go toe to toe with the killer and stand an equal chance.
What does being played actually have to do with the argument? They compared chess to checkers then said that's why Wheaties is the breakfast cereal of champs.
-
lol, this guy. Bringing up nothing but symmetrical games when talking about an asymmetrical one.
Those games you don't give a ######### about the other side because they have all the same tools you do.
-
It's a well known fact that one survivor out of the game and it's gg for everyone else. Tunneling gets results. A survivor with a used up Decisive, is a dead one.
It's entirely up to the devs to implement something that enables people to stay in a game longer.
