Inconsistent would be if I said Enduring should work on DS before the gates are powered but not after. DS is different from other stuns: the survivor stabs the killer. With other stuns, the killer is getting slammed into (pallets, locker doors), blinded, or just losing their grip on the survivor. Those aren't on the same level as being stabbed.
Inconsistent is when it works on some perks but not others for no other reason than "we said so."
DS stuns the killer; "stabbing the killer" is just flavor text and not an actual in-game mechanic with meaning.

The devs did say the entity can pull in from any place any time. Alien wouldn't break the lore at all.
I would imagine Alien to be the slowest but have a charge attack aswell as spitting acid to injure and make the survivors bleed a lot. Able to charge through pallets and insta break them. Stuns maybe hurt you a lot.
The thing is that the Entity only makes Killers out of people who have been pushed past the point of no return in one way or another. A Xenomorph just does what it does because that's just how its species rolls.
Plus, why would a Xenomorph put something on a meat hook?

I think Enduring should affect the stun from Head On. Lockers keep getting buffed: they hide auras and now the breathing of survivors inside is less audible (I assume that's still going live), on top of already hiding survivors visually and protecting from Doc's madness. Hiding in lockers should have utility, but should hiding in a locker make survivors untouchable? Head On will let survivors jump out of a locker rather than being grabbed, and unless they're already injured they'll still be able to take two hits.
I do not think Enduring should affect the stun from the new DS. If the stun is only 1.5 seconds, then DS is basically useless and won't help stop killers tunneling survivors. If the survivor uses DS, then they're already going to be injured while running away, so they're a one-hit down. It would be better to just equip other perks and hope your savior has Borrowed Time.
If there's one thing I'm not a fan of, it's inconsistent interactions. Either let it affect both perks or neither. Having it affect only one is a bad idea IMO.

Are we sure this isn’t a typo and is supposed to be “not”? The context of the answer I feel like its supposed to say not, not now. Why talk about what the aim of the 3 seconds was, and then just say oh it’s changed now...without explaining why. Doesn’t add up to me
Does Enduring affect the stun from a Survivor wiggling free? If so, perhaps they are saying that they wanted DS to match the wiggle stun 100%.

My issue is more that such an add-on/offering is a complete gamble to use and is much more often than not going to be less useful than using almost any other add-on/offering.

According to today's Q&A, the devs are apparently considering using the reverse Deep Wound idea as a replacement for insta-heals. So instead of Styptic Agent/AH-Needle auto-healing one health state, it would start a timer similar to Deep Wound's meter that recovers a health state once the timer expires.
Just thought it would be interesting to mention that here since I remembered this thread having a similar idea.

It sounds to me like the Entity cares very little for the well being of its captives and just wants to be entertained. Bringing in a Xenomorph would be highly entertaining. And Xenomorphs are presumably a lot more smarter than bears, I would even go so far to say they can outmatch humans.
The Entity deliberately brings in crazed or evil killers as well as people pushed to desparation or rage/insanity, not just animals running on instinct (even if some people have lost their humanity enough to basically become feral killers).
-
Based on what I've heard about the game of old, I'd say it's definitely in a much better state than it has been in the past, but it still has some way to go.
-
"So I decided to put Legion on the bench, cus I really do like to please people (not going to change, so don't tell me to toughen up)."
I don't see things going well for you as far as this situation if this is the mentality you subscribe to.

Are you taking the lore that serious? I personally couldn't care less about what the entity takes, as long as the experience with the new killer, perks and map is fun
The devs do, which is what I'm going by. After all, they are the ones who crafted the lore to begin with, and the fact that recent characters have had more in-depth backstories compared to early characters would indicate that they do care about the lore.

Face Mask Add-On with Knock Out. If you can manage to get a kill early, the combination will cause havoc if you down someone, especially with Sloppy Butcher or Rusty Nails.
Will it? There are a small handful of perks/items that trump Knock Out, and SWF basically makes it a non-issue.
-
What would be the explanation for the Entity bringing a Xenomorph into its realm, though? All the Killers are humans/former humans that have somehow been warped into killers. Bringing in a Xenomorph would be like bringing in a bear.

Random idea: Bake OP's idea of "Moris that function on anyone down to their last hook" into the bloodpoint offerings. Maybe make them rarer and buff the Bloodpoint values so that they feel more like actual desirable paydays rather than just filler on the Blood Web. That way, you end up with an offering that actually is mildly desirable to go for (because you get a nice BP profit) and still does the cool Mori stuff.

There's lot of things you can do with Amanda, I'd like to tag @TAG and @PigMainBigBrain they're huge Pig players.
I'd like to say that right now she doesn't NEED any add-ons, they're all for fun right now. You don't need Combat Straps unless you just want them. If you're really into the Ambush then stack VHS tape and John's File for that. For Perks I do well with BBQ & Chili, Discordance, Surveillance, and Sloppy Butcher. So you got 3 locator perks and 1 for slowing down healing. Nurse's Calling is really good with Sloppy Butcher.
When I play Pig I never use Ambush, I just sneak up to them and stand back up, sometimes pulling them off the Gen.
Hey, I never said I was a GOOD Pig player. :P I don't want people to think of me as a fraud when I just play Pig the way I want to. ;)
Anyways, as far as add-ons, these are what I tend to use:
Last Will + Either Jigsaw's Annotated Plan or Jigsaw's Sketch
Jigsaw's Annotated Plan + Jigsaw's Sketch
Bag of Gears + Crate of Gears
Tampered Timer + Either Crate of Gears or Jigsaw's Sketch (Last Will works too)
Rules Set No. 2 + any of the above add-ons minus Jigsaw's Annotated Plan
I don't particularly care for the ones that affect the Ambush, but if you do, you can also go for:
Video Tape + either Combat Straps or John's Medical File
Amanda's Letter + either Video Tape or Combat Straps (note that this combo is only really usable in either Lehry's or The Game). If you want to be a high roller jerk, you can use it with Last Will too.

I need to see if I can find the post, but I recall one of the devs/mods mentioning on the forun that the new Decisive Strike still makes someone the Obsession at the start of the trial but that bit was mistakenly left off the new DS description. Not sure if it was changed since then or if I am mistaken or what.

The devs want the game to be grindy. It keeps people playing. We aren't yet at the point where the grind is so awful that it forces them to eliminate perk levels altogether. Instead, we're at the point where they're making perks viable at level 1, so you can use them right away but you still have to grind through mountains of level 2s and 3s before it will give you the perks you want.
I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure the devs have acknowledged somewhere on these forums that the heavy grind due to more and more perks being added is indeed an issue and that they are looking into it.

Don't remember anything notable from the Hag as far as personal experiences.
As far as Clown, I remember one time when I found someone making a break for the Hatch and was circling a big rock to get to the Hatch on the other side. I couldn't see the Survivor in question, so I did a Hail Mary pass with the bottle and hit the Survivor blindly, which slowed them down juuuust enough for me to catch up and successfully grab them as they were trying to jump into the Hatch.
-
I need me my trashy hooligan DBD theme variant from the Legion release. So yes, I am in support of this.
-
More Pig buffs. Perhaps even a balance pass along the lines of what Trapper/Wraith received.

@AntiJelly I never said it would be OP, it would be an issue
Isn't the issue currently that Bloodwebs are becoming too much of a grind as more and more perks are being added to the game?
-
Maybe there is something I am missing, but my first impression is to agree with this. What breaks from a gameplay perspective if every low-rank player had access to Level 3 perks in their Bloodwebs from the start? This goes extra for perks like NOED and the upcoming BBQ that are being flattened across the board (in the case of BBQ, flattened to the point where there is no difference between the tiers from an in-game perspective).
-
I'm all for nerfing Moris (and Keys), but the question is how to nerf them such that they aren't actually rendered pointless. If you make them only functional after someone is down to their last hook, how often will using the Mori be any better than just hooking them? Not very, I'd say. There needs to be a relatively consistent reason to want to actually bring in a Mori beyond "I wanna see the Kill animation."
-
My main question with regards to this is "Is it too late to make such a big change to the Survivor side of things?"
-
I'm currently rank 1, but I play on console, where the average player skill is likely a fair bit lower.
I primarily play the Pig, and currently it's a one for me. Mainly because I find it too unreliable on account of it being a complete gamble with regards to how long it lasts and if someone spawns really close to it. I already have enough RNG to worry about with the Reverse Bear Traps. Maybe with the changes to totems, I might find it more worth running again, but we'll see
-
@Shad03 said:
The alternative will hard buff Legion's using Hex:TTS.
Had a game once where I managed to blind all survivors in like two Frenzys and was able to defend the totem. No one escaped death.
Along with the fact people stupidly thinking not healing against me is a good idea... Hehe.
For what it's worth, TTS would probably give people incentive to heal against Legion.
-
If you can only pick one, I'd say the Hag. She's a strong Killer who is fun to play, plus you get access to Hex: Run.
-
This sounds like a lot of work for something I would not expect people to play much.
Also, just as a personal, biased opinion, I'm not playing a game mode where my main character is down to exactly one add-on combination I'd like to run.

@JawsIsTheNextKiller said:
So if two survivors were deliberately sandbagging eachother, and a third survivor reported them, would they both get a ban or would it be considered just fooling around?
They would probably get a ban. Breaking the rules in the name of tomfoolery is generally frowned upon. Especially when, as said above, the third party's experience is negatively impacted because the other two people are just futzing around at the team's expense.
-
Magikarp isn't a bad Pokemon. You just don't know how to use it cuz it's just a computer that you control.
-
I think Corrupted Purge is already good enough at quickly downing Survivors that upgrading it to a one-shot is unnecessary. At most, I'd suggest making that an Ultra Rare add-on with downsides similar to the current Iridescent Seal.

Power Rangers Legion...
But to be serious, ninja outfit for Legion. Or even better, Ninja Rangers outfit.
I would main Legion if this happened.
(I wouldn't, but I would play Legion)
-
This sounds extremely pointless. How the heck is a Survivor supposed to do anything if a Killer finds them while they are exhausted? You'd never want to use it except in times where it's of barely any use.
-
Not convinced that it's necessary, so no.

@Raccoon said:
How do people feel as of the PTB?
The scoring system they're trying to implement feels deliberately inconsistent with how the game ends up being played because the devs want to prevent people from playing the game in an unfun way through point and rank penalties rather than in-game penalties (or benefits). I feel like they are trying to have their cake and eat it too. They want games to be longer and ones where everyone "has fun," but they are trying to do so without fundamentally altering the balance of the game. I don't really think that's possible, nor do I think it's a good idea to try and make it happen. Either leave it as is, or make actual fundamental changes to materialize your vision of balance.

For real.
I once watched all licensed Killers' movies in a row, cause i've never seen them before and i'd get some information on why they are who they are.
Halloween is EASILY my least favorite of the 4, while the only licensed Killer i see being praised for their movie(s) on here is the Shape.
I've heard multiple reasons and disagree, and thus i'm for real.
P.S. You didn't ask in what way we think some Killers are overrated. 😉
I hate horror/slasher movies for the most part, but I enjoyed Halloween.

This makes the whole thing more suspicious. Like they were sitting around a table like "what kind of item could this add-on be" and the foot fetish guy thinks to his toe collection and says "why not cut off her toe and make it an add-on".
Now we have evidence of both a foot fetish AND a psycho body part collector person. BHVR WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO DO ABOUT THIS?!?!

Console, at rank 1, you can force people to pallets that they can't run away from, also she is great to bait people away from pallets too, plus mindgame potential and if they dont leave the loop then ambush is almost a garunteed hit.
How exactly does one anti-loop as a Pig on console? I play on console, and I find it too slow to turn around at a loop to properly mindgame a Pig's crouch with the controller.
-
So who's gonna be the one to mention that one of the Plague's feet is missing a toe because she's using it as an add-on? :P

I get the devs wanting to make ranking ip more challenging as you rank up higher so people don't get too high a rank to quickly, but it seems to me like they went overkill on it.
