Reduce trap destroyed time (comes back faster) and causes the injury status when completing the sabo?
Or
Just remove the ability to make Trapper a literal M1 killer.
Remove the ability to make Trapper a literal M1 Killer.

Would suck if you accidentally revealed someone actually hiding in said locker. :P

I think if people know they will get their BW effect, they wouldn't feel as inclined to use NOED, at least not red rank killers. I could be wrong though.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/913304#Comment_913304
I partially agree with that, but I'm also of the mindset that if you need the hatch to escape, that means your team lost, which means you shouldn't escape anyway. I've had plenty of games where I've had a hatch escape, but if I and/or my team didn't do well, I don't get upset if I don't get the hatch.
There's a difference between "being difficult to escape" and "this gives Survivors less of a chance of escaping than Whispers on a Trapper who has already trapped both Gates".
-
I would definitely make it so this ability does not function as long as there is only one Survivor left, as that would make the post-Hatch EGC completely unwinnable for a Survivor without a Key.

Tru3 said that about GF at first, but didn't know how to use him. Once he learned to ditch stalking and run the right build, he found out GF is a top 5 killer. Wraith on the other hand, I think he's just trolling people for turds and giggles. Tru3 is a very good player and 4k's w legion and clown on red ranks sooo....
I mean, he is trying to play Wraith very similarly to how he places Ghostface, so I don't necessarily believe that he is being insincere with his claims regarding Wraith.

Real smart.
Related: Why?
Because at that point, there's no reason to assume that slugging the Obsession will be more efficient than just testing for DS.
-
I'll just never play around DS if this happens. Simple.

Peanits replied to the other thread with "Amen," so...

Tier 1 I can see. Why Tier 2?

I think Renjiro's Glove makes it so they can delete Blood Orbs off the map by collecting them themselves, but at the expense of revealing their auras for 2 seconds per Orb.

I can actually see this
A straight bar that when failing skill checks the survivor lets go of it, re-snapping
Exactly. And the best part is that the straightforward bar progression means that the devs can adjust the time to escape to a healthy average that gives Trapper a fair amount of time to reach a Survivor that's not too far away and the trapped Survivor a fair amount of time to escape if the Trapper is really far away.

Your dog is just playing Fortnite.

A long process that could get you out possibly?
A straight gradual bar fill that will eventually get you out. Maybe with some Skill Checks peppered in.
-
@Hoodied said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/910833#Comment_910833
That will be hard imo
As first thought for me is that the survivor cannot escape a beartrap without help, but then that could lead to issues
Would it? I always figured the simple answer would be to just make escaping a Bear Trap similar to searching through a Jigsaw Box.

Some advice for the time being about gens:
When you begin to kick a gen but you're gonna get stuck, you actually jolt forwards really quickly and you can see you're literally in the gen. Cancel the animation. You're stuck but the gen isn't regressing; now restart the animation.
You're unstuck. Have fun.
I'll try to keep this in mind, though I feel I won't catch it in time and just get myself stuck anyways.

The point of the build is to either make you waste time, or make you waste time. And from the replies I’ve received, it seems like my build will work as intended after all. I don’t play to win, I play to goof around and screw with the Killer because playing to win is kinda boring.
Well, then we both win. You get to goof around, and I get my hook. :)

I'll just camp your downed body until you get back up with No Mither. Nailed it. ;)

Tru thinks he invented a new meta and made Wraith viable. This is funny because Wraith has not been changed and Tru is on record saying Wraith is the worst killer in the game.
He did the same thing with Ghostface, going from "this killer is trash" to " this killer is viable."

New Killer: The Oddjob :P

@mutabletiger4 said:
Because Tru3 said so, even though he's always running an ultra rare addon with windstorm I think? Plus an anti-healing build. Wraith sounds really "viable"
I'm not convinced that Wraith is good, but I've seen him use Bone Clapper to make his point to show that it's not just Coxcombed Clapper.

There's no way the stuck-in-gen bug can afford to wait until mid-chapter.

@Fibijean said:
The question basically boils down to, is it more advantageous for the killer to have a longer window in which to notice that the perk has activated, or to have a more accurate idea of how long ago the perk activated?
I would argue that the former is actually more valuable, since the vast majority of the time, in practice, if two survivors start working on a generator together, they will still be there 12 seconds later. If not, at least one of them almost certainly will be. So knowing that the survivors started working together 8 seconds ago as opposed to 12 seconds is actually less important than having a larger window in which to take note of the fact that there have been survivors working cooperatively on said generator recently, particularly considering all the other things the killer might be trying to pay attention to at the time.
Disagree. Having to wait 12 seconds to know whether or not they are still teaming up on the gen is indeed worse than having to wait 8 seconds, and the advantage in the extra four seconds of seeing where they were is virtually nonexistant IMO. I would say Discordance is the only perk in the game currently where Level 3 is almost strictly worse than the Level 1.

Why do you think it’s less legitimate?
Because it was a term that had to be made up when a pre-existing term could not actually apply to the situation at hand.
-
@HeroLives said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/906190#Comment_906190
I mean what else would a smart survivor do? Most killers proxy hooks now days anyways. Doesn’t matter if they are viable or not , still proxy. It’s sad to see.
To me personally, "proxy camping" is a far less legitimate term than "gen rushing" simply based on the fact that they can't actually call it just camping.

But when you smack a no mither he doesnt get a huge blood bonus
This is true, but one could argue that that is cancelled out by the fact that the person with No Mither has no way to turn off the Blood Orb faucet.

If I was a DEV of a commercial game like DBD I'd probably say no, it's not possible, in the context of the game. Considering that there's a much more elegant solution, which is more generic, creates less code, needs less balancing in the future, can create less bugs etc.
But just theoretically, sure...theoretically anything's possible.
No, theoretically, not anything is possible. :P This is theoretically possible. Not exactly a good idea, but it is possible.
-
@Troman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/906255#Comment_906255
It would create more spaghetti code and we don't need more. Because DBD would treat SWF survivors in the code separately from solo survivors (and probably 2-man SWF groups separately from 3 and 4-man SWF groups).
Too much redundancy, there will be even more nuances to consider during balancing for new content, that's why the other way round makes so much more sense, also for other reasons.
I mean, I agree that the other way around is better, but it is possible.
-
@The_Second_Coming said:

Disagreeing with the idea =! not thinking it's possible.
Besides, game-health wise, it's actually not possible to penalize SWF's simply for playing with friends. The playerbase will die.
Well, I didn't say it was something that should be done. I said that it is possible to do.
-
@The_Second_Coming said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/906857#Comment_906857
I know. I just disagree with even the hypothetical intro of the idea. I mostly play killer myself, but the devs have the right idea that they need to bring solo players up to SWF level, and then balance around that. If they actually do it or not remains to be seen, but that's literally the only way to do it.
You disagree with the idea of it being literally possible?
-
@The_Second_Coming said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/906255#Comment_906255
No. You can not punish people for playing with their friends. Simple as that. They need to balance the game around it.
That's why I said "does not mean it is a good idea."

Well, then it wouldn't be worth trying.

I think OoO doesn't work against stealth killers anymore
The Survivor can't see the aura of a Killer that is Undetectable, but the Killer can still see the Survivor aura. IMO, that shouldn't really be the case.

That is a cool idea in theory. The first issue off the top of my head is that there are areas and even entire levels where there is no dirt to actually dig up. :P

4 and 5 are like almost similar. I forgot about Kindred. Barely anyone uses it except in swf.
"Barely anyone uses it except in swf."
What? The opposite is true. SWF are the only people who have no need for Kindred.

no its not a thing. what else are you suppose to be doing?
The fact that the Survivors' primary goal is to do gens ASAP does not mean gen rushing is not a thing; it means that Survivors are kinda forced to gen rush for the most part because it is the most optimal thing to do.
-
I don't think it's matter of "gen rushing is not a thing," but rather "Survivors are not doing anything wrong by gen rushing."
