I still don't think it is cheating. If the Killer and Survivor had messaged each other before the game, I would 100% agree. But this, this just seems like a jerk move from his part.
If Killer and Survivor are clearly within each other's vicinity such that there's no way they are not aware of each other and then the events as OP has described it occurs, I would call that working together, which is a reportable offense.

"So a teammate survivor showing the killer in what locker you are hiding"
That is not what he said happened.
"is now a misplay of yourself"
And that is not what I was calling a misplay.
"As the killer came to the area where we were hiding the other survivor jumps out of the locker and points at the one where I am hiding."
How else would you interpret this?

You cannot say that, you do not know. Can you read their minds?
I mean, you can read their actions in context and make an educated guess.

Selling out your teammates isn't reportable. Jerk move, but not reportable unless it is premeditated.
Depends on the circumstances. If the Killer starts to leave and then the jerk Survivor decides to just unhook right there anyways, not much you can do about that. If the Killer and jerk Survivor are right there aware of each other as this is happening, you could definitely make a case that they have decided at that moment to work together to dunk on the other person.

Then you're saying it should show everyone, right? It's an anti-camping perk. Why would it not show the most notorious campers? The entire purpose is to show the other players whether or not it is safe to come for a rescue, and if someone else is already on the way.
I heard about some changes, but in my game Kindred functions as it always has, so I assume it's coming out with the next update. Maybe when they fix the basement bug.
No, I'm saying that aura immunity shouldn't have exceptions. That'd be like saying Distortion should work against all aura Killer tools...except for A Nurse's Calling.
If you wanna make it so stealth Killers can still be detected, have Kindred do something else instead of the aura thing. Like make it so it makes different noises as the Killer enters and leaves Kindred range.
-
So, always kick the left side or something?
-
I learned this when I pulled someone out of the basement to help them with their situation, though I assumed it was because I let them break free after escaping the basement.

This happened to be as Oni yesterday. According to one of the other Survivors, they saw me just randomly attacking a pallet over and over (I was attacking the gen in a futile attempt to break free) and wandering about (I was trying to move about hoping this would clear up) before DCing. I think there may be some desyncing going on between me and the Survivors.

I hope your not serious. As someone who mained pig until recently while pig may not be super powerful, removing an ability that helps tunnelers and facecampers gets a thumbs up in my book.
HOW DARE THEY DO THIS TO PIGGO
-
I'm a bit surprised no one was talking about this perk while everyone was talking about Kindred. I thought there was something I was misinterpreting about it.

It just comes down to different strokes for different folks. If you play to win and winning is fun for you, use the meta to your heart's content. If you just want to have fun, switching it up with gimmicky builds is going to be more fun to you. I don't really think there's a single right answer, I fall more into the latter, but I don't mind taking a loss. Or twenty.
I think this is the best way to look at it. Some people have fun mixing it up with casual builds and stuff, some people have fun trying their hardest with the best. Both are equally valid IMO.

Tell that to the two halves of my head!
Okay.
Split head, timers pause while you are slugged.

With no COLLISION how is that not broken bro?
people complaining about the basement bug and how it was overseen but i mention what i think is a little excessive attack and everyone just says i dont know how to loop or bait
Once the attack connects, it just plays through the animation, even if it clips. It's like when you hit someone with it while they are hugging a wall, and the animation plays out with the club still clipping through the wall.
-
@DeadbyDaylightbroke said:
If you vault a window and wait for oni to loop. He can just stand there and hit you through the window while beserk. hows that not broken?
I mean, how is it broken? It's like when a Killer hits you from the other side when you're still in hitting range. Only it's a one-shot like Myers or Ghostface.

@[Deleted User] said:
I'd like it if the RBTs didn't keep going while you're slugged. I had a round where a pig refused to hook me, but kept downing me so by the time I got to my first box, it was too late.
They don't. Timers pause while you are in a chase, on the ground, being carried, or on a hook.

They tested this once, but reverted it.
And I dont think that any competent Pig player will follow you while moonwalking... That takes way too much time.
Thank goodness they reverted it too. One poorly thought out nerf for Pig was bad enough.

M2 to crouch.
-
Is this because you tried to argue Hillbilly and Oni are OP and didn't like that people were rebutting that notion?
-
Question to y'all: Have the devs fumbled with anything from a balance perspective as much as they have with Feral Frenzy?
-
From what I understand, the basement bug is pretty game-breaking, so yes, I would say a DC in this circumstance is perfectly acceptable.

Not stupid if I have BBQ and you know OTHER PERKS TO HELP ME SEE OTHER SURVIVORS. It’s straight tunneling of you went out of your way to rehook a survivor who just Kobe. It’s pathetic. You sweaty to end the game as fast as possible of a 4K. Go get a towel and wipe your head off. There’s nothing wrong killing survivors but I want everyone to have an decent amount of Bloodpoints before the game ends. It’s why I also don’t encounter DC as much.
Solution: Don't kobe in front of the Killer.

That would be nice, but what if a survivor reaches the second stage on their first hook? Then it's like nothing changed?
Then they weren't two-hooked, were they?

How would moris even be nerfed though?
Make them two-hook and lower their rarity.

The solution to me isn't to buff DS; it's to nerf Moris.
-
I'm equipping Self-Care and Object of Obsession together, and you can't stop me.

I highly doubt he is a bad Killer. Even if he is not clicking with me at all, I attribute that to my shortcomings as opposed to the Killer's.
-
Wasn't one of of the patch note changes that Survivor debuffs aren't mentioned until they become relevant?
-
He's convincing me to play Hillbilly so far.
EDIT: Never mind. I just won't play either one.

i dont think abusing expoits is acceptable
Devs have not only confirmed that this tactic was okay, but when people pointed out that it was taken out, the devs flat-out stated that this removal was not intentional and would be undone.
-
The devs said this was acceptable to do by the Killers.

The Oni released exactly as he was from the PTB actually. *at least, I think.*
- His Sprint turns are to prevent both The Oni and The Hillbilly from ALWAYS running at a higher speed. It's there as a handicap for a reason. It's to prevent Survivors from NEVER escaping killer that goes 'fast as ######### boi' with a Exposed effect on the Chainsaw/Spiky Baton thingy the 2 killers use.
- His lunge doesn't seem any different, however, Survivor hitboxes are actually to blame here.
- Wym? I've seen people handle his Spike Baton just fine. Infact, it's not any different to the normal katana.
- This would make The Oni OP. It's to punish the Killer for not hitting anyone with a sprint. If this buff was implemented, people would just use this to go across the map and ALWAYS get a free hit during chases. Again: Handicaps are there to balance the killer. If you remove them, it will make them too strong.
I honestly think The Oni is good exactly where he is.
He looks like a wonderfully fun killer.
He's extremely powerful, and viable, containing aspects of the Hillbilly.
He's balanced, I don't see any crippling drawbacks or OP abilities that make his status too strong or weak.
All 3 aspects I feel were achieved with this killer. I may be missing something, since I have yet to play him, however, I do feel confident BHVR actually did a good with this killer. He wasn't painfully weak in the PTB at first, so that's a plus!
(Thank god, I don't want the Garbageface accident to happen again.)
"Wym? I've seen people handle his Spike Baton just fine. Infact, it's not any different to the normal katana."
His club is extremely unwieldy when charging it for a one-shot. At least, in my opinion. It is definitely different from the katana.
I don't mind the handicap for attacking when running, but I don't like how unwieldy the club is when not running. The running is nice, but landing a hit with the club feels like a struggle. Even when I'm not trying to go for a one shot and just want a basic attack because someone is already injured, even that feels gimped because if I'm not in range for a simple tap attack, I can't rely on a lunge because the turning while prepping a lunge with the club feels painfully stiff. It feels like the amount of fighting with the controls I am doing while using the club just makes me want to just stick to M1ing because then my worst enemy is not the controls.

Myers should have been special then. Now it doesn't show anyone hardly, since all I see in red ranks are camping Ghost Face (and occasional Wraith). Pigs too, hunkered down nearby. What gives? Go play the game!
Contradictory inconsistency shouldn't be special.
"Kindred trumps all stealth abilities...except Myers, I guess."
-
@Coriander said:
Why doesn't it show stealth killers? Isn't that the point? Also, Kindred apparently didn't change for me. I still see it if people have it, but I'm not using Kindred.
That was back when the only stealth Killers were Wraith and Insidious. Once they added Myers, that line of text referring to stealth abilities became outdated.

I mean recently the servers feel wayyy worse. I cant tell u how many times my friend will get into a match and ill be left in the lobby or vice versa and it takes foreverrrrrrr to find a match. I swear it feels like i play one match per hour sometimes because of how slow it is and not to mention how consistent disconnects are. I absolutely LOVE this game but these server problems are such an inconvenience at this point I feel so unmotivated to play. Havnt played the new killer yet but I probably wont anyways because of the connection :/
For what it's worth, I've had a problem start up VERRRRY recently where Survivors are now just blinking short distances at random like I'm dealing with a squad of mini-Nurses.

Correct. Kindred still only affects every Survivor if the person with Kindred is on the hook.

I know bud, but that's an easy instadown even with BT, you keep on pressing that you punished but that wouldn't occur if he has BT, but you punished the mistake of another player on someone that didn't even ask to get unhooked 5 meters away from you, maybe I'm too much of a naive person but I know how bad it feels to get farmed this way.
Do you have a better way to punish a bad play such as that? Striking the healthy Survivor who did the unhooking right next to the Killer is not punishing (except in circumstances where I have an insta-down prepped) because they have an opportunity to force the Killer into a wild goose chase. What do you propose to encourage not doing dumb plays such as that?
-
@Well_Placed_HexTotem said:
What was buffed in it? I only solo queue
If a person without Kindred is hooked, any Survivor who is running the perk still gets to see all the auras that Kindred normally reveals.

If you're playing a killer that can hide their terror radius or Freddy, I suppose. But otherwise, I can't see it really changing anything. The amount of people that went down to Deep Wounds before was incredibly low. It's not really meant to down them as much as it's meant to delay them, and it still does that. Dare I say it does that even better since you can't do a generator while within the killer's terror radius now.
You're making it seem like it's an inconvenience for Survivors to be protected by Borrowed Time instead of just straight-up going down.

Anything that grants Undetectable is immune:
Cloaked Wraith
EW1 Myers
Crouched Pig
Ghostface in Night Shroud
Any perk that grants Undetectable

I know what you mean by that, but why don't you run MyC if you're really into punishing mistakes ? At least you would actually punish the guy that did the mistake at first.
MYC doesn't punish mistakes. It's not a mistake to unhook someone while the Killer is further away than 32 meters from the hooked Survivor. It is a mistake to unhook someone about two seconds after that person was hooked.
-
FYI: The reason OP is being vague is because mods are deleting threads discussing the thing in question.

The thing is, you punished a survivor that hasn't done anything bad by himself, he just got farmed, nothing he could have done about it if there is no BT.
And Borrowed Time does not allow for stupid plays like that to get punished.
