This sounds like a really wordy way of saying "I want six free DCs per day," which completely obliterates the point of the system to begin with. I can't imagine more than two being necessary, and even that is pushing it.

More horrifying than anything in DBD proper.

It's about Jane Romero.
That ain't about the new chapter, so meh.

Does this have to do with the new chapter?

Depipping isn’t against any rules.
Maybe you should learn to mind your own business 🤔
This is an old quote, but unless someone has anything more recent that contradicts this, I'd say it still applies:
@Peanits said:
Intentionally deranking: Yes, it is bannable (WITH A HUGE ASTERISK, READ ON). If your are intentionally dying in your games to lower your rank, you are hurting the other people in the game by ruining their experience and making it tougher on them. Though these days it's much easier to do something and still derank, so you could still do something to help the team and derank in the end if you really want.
Basically, just don't throw the game, that's all. Be considerate of the other people in the lobby who aren't trying to derank. If you're commited to deranking, at least do some generators or something first. Don't just make a beeline to the killer and die as soon as possible because you're making it into a 3v1 and that's not fair to everyone else.
Staying AFK: Not really. Sometimes people go AFK. Sometimes the dog pees on the rug. Sometimes someone comes to the door. Sometimes you forget that you're queuing for a game and walk away from the computer. We'd have to be able to tell that you're intentionally doing it on a regular basis for it to become a problem. It's still preferable that you don't do it just because that does make the game boring for everyone else.
Farming: Farming at someone else's expense is. e.g. If someone is working with the killer to lead them to other survivors, sandbagging, then farming them on the hook for points- that is bannable. When farming crosses into griefing, that's a problem.
Macros (wiggling, etc.): No. We don't ban for that. Though it's a use at your own risk type deal because if EAC picks up on it and automatically bans you for it, we won't be able to help you.
Macros (botting): Yes, that is bannable. Don't do that.

So re read what I wrote. "If you're both being slug juggled, you both are continuing to get caught."
That's you two getting caught, not sitting there waiting to die.

That would help for a multitude of reasons, but my example was just one example. I dont have time to type put every hypothetical situation where it would do more harm than good.
Like I said, last survivor in game, sure. Otherwise it's a cop out for not wanting to lose. 🤷♀️
I can't think of a hypothetical reason that doesn't amount to "Survivors took too long to help the person on the ground" other than the one you stated regarding someone else getting back up after everyone was slugged.
-
@Carpemortum said:

I would argue only allow it if you're last alive, like the hook. Otherwise you're just potentially ######### over teammates.
"What if we're both slugged?"
What if you are, and YOU force bleedout, just to have the killer walk back yo the other one AS THEY USE UNBREAKABLE.
Quitting early is childish. If you plan to quit early, why queue up at all? Accept what happens in game (save for hacking, exploits, etc), and move on.
Just let Survivors see each other's perks pre-lobby so this corner case is a non-issue.
-
@Carpemortum said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1100037#Comment_1100037
Because as I stated in my response, its not only going to happen when you're the last one in game and the killer is watching. People will use it on first downs, with everyone alive. ######### that. If people cant handle a few mins of not doing anything because of how the game went, they shouldnt queue up and ruin it for the others when they cant get their way.
Simple solution: Only allow it after the bleed meter has reached a certain point. That way, it doesn't effectively amount to a glorified ragequit option.
-
I don't see why not. I think if you are left on the ground for a long time to the point where it's looking grim anyways, I think it's only fair that you be allowed to speed up the process.
-
I don't like any of these, to be honest. Most of these are just "someone gets randomly rekt." The only ones I don't hate are 4 and 7, and even then, they don't actually make the game better; they just attempt to justify a supremely poorly implemented mechanic.
-
32 meter Kindred is insane. That gives you crystal clear info on where the Killer is for a huge distance. It already gives you a good idea on which direction the Killer is heading; it does not need to be stronger than that.

Those reports are thrown out because it's not reportable, seriously. It's like reporting for opening an exit gate as killer
Last I checked, neither of those things show up on the list of things that will have a report be thrown out, whereas camping IS on that list:

The fact that no one has gotten banned for hook suicide says it all. Camping is basically losing the game as killer but it's not reportable. Neither is hook suicide and it'll never be
Camping is explicitly listed as not reportable. Meanwhile, the reporting section has "Purposefully losing the game" and "Ragequitting" listed under "Unsportsmanlike Conduct." Not a very good comparison.

No. As long as the Pig is allowing the Trap timer to tick down in some way, it's not holding the game hostage.

No there aren't, no one has gotten banned for suiciding, there's no punishment. Why? Because you aren't entitled to anyone's time if they're being camped, that's why the option to even hook suicide exists
If it constitutes as losing on purpose, which it does, and it constitutes as ragequitting, which it almost always does, it can be reported and there are ramifications if it is done excessively.
-
Anyone who is insane enough to consider swatting has no one to blame but themself and would probably be willing to do so regardless of what BHVR or any vg company does to "mitigate" it.

The point is, it isn't a loss, because there's no concrete way to win in the game. Plus no one is entitled to my time if I'm being camped on hook, or if they aren't doing gens. If I see that I'm taking my leave and moving on
That's not how that works. You can't just say "Oh, you can't report me for purposefully losing because whether I win or lose is up to my own personal preference." And no one is entitled to your time. If you want to DC, DC. If you want to suicide, suicide. Being punished for it doesn't mean that you are literally incapable of doing it. Just know that there are ramifications for doing so repeatedly.

I am describing things that don't make sense? sure because it makes no sense that someone would be in trouble for playing a game. People have phobias that send them into panic attacks just seeing a clown (proven true), people sympathetically vomit when they hear or see someone vomit (proven true, and I've seen this happen and it wasn't pretty in the operating station of the nuclear reactor I was standing watch at while the ship was underway, it wasn't pleasant). In this game we have a clown killer (triggers the first), and a killer that vomits on others causing the survivors to vomit as well (triggers the second). The latter case can cause the player to vomit on their keyboards, computers, laptops what ever they play on (furnature too) and then it has to be cleaned up. So what's the quick fix for these people? to extracate themselves from the situation, struggle and give up to GET the hell out of dodge! if it's extreme then they have to leave the pc or exit via DC and take the penalty.
Please tell me what win condition players are not meeting. The devs themselves have said there are multiple win conditions in this game. I got crazy at the end of the comments to show how when you start punishing people for using the game mechanics (once again the leave match button is NOT a game mechanic) then you will see people being punished for doing gens, hooking survivors, hitting survivors, vaulting too many windows or pallets. If the game has a mechanic in it then they can use that or not if they wish. How ever going out to a game menu to exit the game is not using a game mechanic.
Yes. As in it doesn't make sense to be playing a game where you might literally end up destroying your own computer equipment because you saw a character throw up in-game. Or a game with a Clown in it when you have such a strong fear of clowns that you may end up having a panic attack. The quick fix for those people is probably just not playing the game and taking that risk. Besides, if you're advocating for them to just eat the penalty and get out of there, then getting punished for hook suiciding excessively doesn't matter because you've already established that it's better to just eat the penalty.
Also, there are already examples of being able to be reported for "using in-game mechanics". Such as throwing down all the pallets to screw over your teammates or going super immersive with the intent of stalling the game out indefinitely.

The fact that you get a disconnection penalty?
The devs aren't gonna be like "oh it was ok in this scenario therefore we'll pardon you and reset your timer and escalation process"
I'm not saying whether a dc is actually justified or not by human standards I'm saying that with the system in place there are no exceptions. No justified reasons.
Devs have already said that if you only DC once in a blue moon, you should be fine, as the DC penalty will be small. They've given the okay in that regard.

so you are telling me that if I play the game and not follow your rules then i'm reported? for what? what did I do that caused you to report me? oh that's right the game told me that I could try to escape the hook, and then says i can struggle, but i got distracted because the cat came by. or i just didn't feel like struggling. sorry that is incorrect you are not going to get traction because if you get this as reportable then you are going to start being reported for doing generators! or the killer for hooking people they down!
Also what if I get sick when the plague pukes in game? or when survivors puke at max sickness. you are going to FORCE me to stay in a game that is making me sick? you're going to tell me that I have to risk my health, my computer and even my furniture because you don't like that you can't DC anymore? no. if I do that is allowed in game (no the leave match button is NOT IN GAME!) then you can't successfully report me. Also you do know there is a legitimate issue with the clown where people have panic attacks when they see a clown? sure they want to play but they have no idea who the killer is till they see the indicators and then if they use the in game features to leave the match to deal with those anxieties and issues is perfectly fine.
My rules? "Purposefully losing the game" is listed as a reportable offense, so...
Also, you're describing things that don't make sense anymore.
-
@Freki said:
first of all you can report anyone for anything at any time, but you know what that does? it wastes the dev's time. anything that is a GAME MECHANIC can not be reported but going out to a menu option and clicking a button is not a game mechanic what so ever! so tell me someone who tries to get out, how do you know they didn't bring slippery meat and try to get out after waiting a short time to see if people are there, or even then why is there a mechanic to get off the hook at the beginning at all? So again this comes down to rage quitting is NOT using game mechanics to get out of the game. now, also how do you know they didn't have a tremmor or a spasm in their hand and that caused them to give up? how do you know they don't struggle because their space bar is broken? or faulty? but Disconnecting is obvious, there is even different sounds when it's using the button in the menu or a network issue, so yea you are really blowing smoke and with what you are saying if that became the case you would end up being punished for doing generators.
how do you know they didn't bring slippery meat and try to get out after waiting a short time to see if people are there
You...check post-game to see if they have Slippery Meat equipped?
As long as the stuff you're describing only happens once in a while, it wouldn't be too hard to implement a system that doesn't punish them for it. The only ones who really need to be punished are those who do it consistently and repeatedly early in the game.

Love how when its a killer issue somehow the comments are sympathetic.
No its not acceptable hence why the system punishes EVERYTHING. Nothing is acceptable other than playing the game to the end.
If a Survivor somehow started moving only at Nurse speed and couldn't drop pallets because of a bug, I'd be equally sympathetic toward that too.

Not for everyone, for me getting bp is a win (like most people)
That's not how it works. You don't argue against getting reported for losing on purpose by saying "Well, I don't consider it a loss, so it doesn't count!"
-
To me, that says that the way the emblem system is implemented is dumb for making DCs such a harsh penalty for the enemy. Also the lack of a proper concession feature.
Also, how does one STOP disconnects?

No, hook suicide isn't losing the game because there's no way to lose. Some people think getting points is a win, some people say that pipping is. The fact that you get rewarded for hook suicide by points or even a pip means it's not a loss
Deliberately dying on the hook after getting downed once is losing the game on purpose.
-
According to the recent stream, you aren't penalized if you leave before the game fully loads.

If the devs haven't said it is, they won't ban for it so. I'm not staying in matches to play a staring contest with the killer, I'm moving on. Plus a hook suicides doesn't lose anyone the game. I had a game with 2 dc and 3 gens left and we managed to espace
It literally says so in-game. A player who hook suicides is purposefully losing the game for themself.
"Ragequitting" is also listed under the same section. Hook suiciding almost always falls under one of the two.

The difference here is alot of the game is horror atmosphere. And it's really hard to enjoy the killer when survivors are so powerful they can freely taunt the killer and still escape.
It definitely affects the match. Its disrespectful, it breaks immersion and for me at least
it means ima stop what I'm doing, play dirty and facecamp. I'd rather loose 10 matches then let one tbag clicky kid escape.
I'd rather let the tbagger escape if it means not losing 10 matches.
-
Not severe enough. The player's PC/console should also burst into flame, and fake evidence incriminating that player for deliberate arson should be planted in the smoldering remains of their house/apartment.

Easiest solution to make Remember Me not bad anymore would be to revert it back to the old values and then make it so that the last Survivor automatically becomes the Obsession.

My concern with a single button press would be people who want to "derank" (especially groups of friends) who would just hit the button the moment a match starts, wasting everyone's time, BP and possibly pip (if they are not considered).
Basically no solution will be flawless because a holes exist to abuse it.
Identity V makes it so the entire Survivor team has to voluntarily surrender. I think you can only do it after a certain point in the game too.

Just let killers open the gates if a DC happens or X amount of time passes. Would give the killers an out, however I also don't want the remaining survivors to be effected with losing a pip if the killer just afks then opens gate. Basic idea to simply tweak for all.
I'd rather just allow either side to concede.

Unsure what you're trying to say here?
Tampered Timer doesn't do anything unless you get an RBT kill, which does not happen very often. So a majority of the time, it is as if that particular add-on slot is empty. Ergo, using Crate + Timer is almost always the same as just using Crate by itself.

Actually it won't lol survivors que already take long. But that's due to the rank system. None the less they're not tanked to the ground. I've played both sides. It's easy to end a match in 2 min just by slugging ppl with a one shot mech.
And while yes ppl can use lights and disarm traps, they still don't need infinite amounts. While someone can use a light to removed 6x of her traps, she can still "soft camp" still making it nearly impossible to save anyone. Not everyone likes to carry a flash light. Not to mention if you're the only survivor alive. 9/10 I see trappers patrolling and leaving traps in front of the door handle. If you disarm the trap he will approach. Since the doors are so close to one another and he can hear when it goes off. Making it unfair chance for a survivor to escape.
I personally never carry anything in any match. I prefer looking into chests and I'm usually in stealth mode anyways. So I'm talking more so for the general. Sorry if some killer main get too hurt and wanna whine instead of actually having a civil discussion.

Is this Tampered Timer plus Crate of Gears? If so, then yes. It's very unfair. At the same time, the RNG is pretty unfair to the Pig player most of the time anyway. A rework the the RBT's and add-ons relating to them would be cool; I think her power otherwise has great potential, however.
Tampered Timer + Crate of Gears is way more often than not Crate of Gears + Nothing.

So why cant the killer then see what perks are being brought?
That might help with them preparing?
You could also always bring franklins if you are that scared of items should they be hidden.
also we should not see offerings, of anyone.
Perks are not something the Survivor physically carries, so hiding the info from the Killer makes sense. It doesn't make as much sense to hide something physically being carried.
Also, Franklin's is WAY too situational to be forced to make it a perk you have to guess on using. There's a super realistic chance that the perk becomes wasted a good number of times if you bring it in every time just in case.
And offerings are shown for everyone (barring some specific cases), so that's not really a problem.
