Why the DC penalty is dumb.
- 2 survivors disconnect - not uncommon, because your system does NOTHING to stop disconnects, it only punishes them after the fact.
- Killer now slugs for the 4k because your stupid points system decides that the killer is getting a de-pip for those disconnects
- Survivor who is pissed off that the game has just been ruined for them by 2 disconnecting morons now has to sit slugged for 4 minutes before being allowed to join another game.
All this does is punish the innocent. People have the game ruined for them and they become the victims.

This would probably never work, but what if there was some sort of “quick play” option, where you are thrown into a queue where you can replace someone who disconnected? This could be a separate thing you could get into while also waiting for a normal lobby. So when somebody disconnects, maybe that game pauses for a minute as it searches for players to swap in. That new player would then take over any BP the disconnecter had, as well as receive a very hefty bonus for being a sub. That way it’s not a complete waste of time if you get thrown into a game where you are slugged bleeding out lol. There would be no pip/depip for these players. If there’s nobody to replace the DC’ed guy after a minute, the game can continue but the remaining players can’t depip at least or something. Or maybe there’s some sort of concede option. I don’t know, probably would be a disaster. I have no idea if this type of thing is done with other multiplayer games, and whether it works or not.
To me, that says that the way the emblem system is implemented is dumb for making DCs such a harsh penalty for the enemy. Also the lack of a proper concession feature.
Also, how does one STOP disconnects?
lol was wondering the same thing
If they cared that much they would remove the button. Force people to close via task manager or something.
The emblem system is messed up though. The devs have been far too cheap with bonus points offered to killers and survivors after disconnects.
