If they crawl into a corner or somewhere else to intentionally hide from the killer, yes.
And if they don't crawl into a corner and the Killer is just standing there and waiting?

No. Just no. NOBODY is forcing them to wait the whole time except them, when they crawl off to a corner somewhere to intentionally not be found. They knew what they were doing.
There is no version of this debate where you win.
If the Killer doesn't bother picking up the Survivor anyways, is the Survivor still forcing themselves to wait all that time?

If the killer has the game in that situation, they earned it.
100% of killers would love to get the last person who is still running around, hook them, and then come back to hook the person slugged to end the game quicker. Slugs tend to crawl away, and most killers just let them bleed out as punishment. It is ENTIRELY the fault of the survivor that they have to wait so long.
Imagine calling MY logic backwards, when you are literally saying survivors should have second chance #49889458934489398489348939. Your survivor bias is showing.
The killer has earned the game, but they don't earn a 4k unless they get a 4k.

They are entitled to not die by the killers hand, sure. But if they crawl away, they caused their own time-wasting wait time. Not the killer.
I'll say it again - survivors do NOT, EVER need another free out.
They have plenty.
The game caused them to waste their own time by not allowing them a way to reasonably surrender and forcing them to wait the whole time.
-
I don't think you can do that without breaking the game. I don't think any Killer except maybe Nurse would think twice about trading a measly perk slot for a permanent speed boost.
-
@SloppyKnockout said:

The ONLY reason a survivor has to wait for so long right NOW is because by the time they find the other survivor to get the 4k, the first survivor crawls away to INTENTIONALLY not be found.
They should not get another free out. No.
I mean, that Survivor is entitled to not have to die by the Killer's hand, no? And if the Killer takes a while to get that last Survivor, they are waiting for a while anyways (unless they choose to DC, which is not a reasonable option on either end). This seems like a fair way to still allow the Killer to aim for the 4k while also not making the experience as miserable for the slugged Survivor.

This, pretty much. Otherwise all you have is a free, no penalty "DC for hatch tech".
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1399876#Comment_1399876
That just opens the door for a survivor to immerse themselves until the other one can give up. No, too exploitable. It's fine how it is. Survivors don't need any more free outs.
I don't see how that's any different than how a Killer would currently slug for a 4k, except the downed Survivor does not have to wait as long to actually get to play another game.
-
I support this on the condition that you can only do it after you've bled out a certain amount (no less than half the bar). Killer is entitled to slug for the 4k, but I don't think giving downed Survivors a reasonable out goes against that.

If they are going to hard nerf a signature part of the game like that, they need to count as sacrifices.
That seems fair to me.

Common bug at the moment with every killer showing GF rather than the actual killer
It's not just Ghostface. I played against a Spirit, but the postgame screen listed her power as Jigsaw's Baptism.

I've never been a huge fan of making moris usable "once you hook everyone". It is a step in the right direction, but I don't think it goes far enough. I would rather they just nerf them hard, drop the rarities, and then add a small additional bonus as compensation.
The key idea does not actually fix the problem. I don't think the problem can be fixed unless they were nerfed at minimum to limit key escapes to only one person per key
-
It's good as long as it's running. The problem is that hex totems are quite inconsistent by nature.
-
Not very IMO, but there are worse characters than her.

Slippery Meat: After being unhooked or unhooking themselves, the survivor gains a 7% speed boost for 10 seconds. If the survivor is grabbed while performing an action, 10/15/20% of wiggle progression will be instantly applied.
That's actually not bad. :o
-
My idea actually involved having all four of the OG animatronics roaming at once, with Survivors having to essentially guess which are harmless animatronics and which is actually the Killer (with the ability for the Killer to change which one they are controlling). :P
Admittedly, I know not much about FNAF, but I think having the series's roots repped would be really cool. That being said, Springtrap (or at least, the person possessing Springtrap) seems to be arguably the single most important character to the franchise, so it makes sense that he would end up being the Killer.

While I still firmly believe that FNAF is simply not scary enough to be in DBD, I do think that if a FNAF chapter happens, Springtrap is the best bet.
How would his power work? How would he attack? Hes never seen attacking anything in the games. Would his M1 be bitchslapping a survivor with his hand?
Hag seems to do just fine using Slappers only as her method of attack. :P

Pop IMO.

You cant change the mind of people who see him as a GOD. So i let you be and think whatever you want.
I absolutely do not agree with a decent amount of what he says balance-wise (and there's no way he's going to convince me that Leatherface ain't trash), so don't go telling me that I see him as a god. :P

i can tell you why people hate him. before i start keep in my i was a big fan of him and watched him for 2-3 years every day.
BUT tru3 is a very biased guy. and he knows that. he is complaining a lot about survivor things and 90% of the things he is right not gonna lie BUT he never talks about the survivor experience. i can remember when they reworked the item system for survivors and he made a video about this patch and was so dissapointed about how unfair it is that killers cant keep their addons but survivor the items when they escape. just watch the video and look how he acted about that, like there is a big advantage and made a big thing about something tiny change like that.
he also attacks people in his stream a lot when they have a different opinion. now here is a conversation about me and him in the twitch chat.
after he talked so negative about the survivor side i said "Why do you have so much hate to survivors and open your mouth only when its about them and are quiet when its about the killer side"
his response : it makes no sense what you talking about just watch my stream and you'll understand
my response : i thought you're open minded and ready to have a discussion as long nobody is offending and BMing you?
his response was to give me a time out for 10 minutes.
that is how true is unfortunately i couldnt see it how BIG his ego is over the years and such a elitist is.
that happend just 3-4 months ago.
im sure Tru3 is a good guy in real life but his personality is disgusting when it comes to DBD. He acts like he knows everything better and is a GOD.
he is ignoring and acting like an elitist when it comes to other people with different opinions.
Honestly i prefer Otz he is atleast not biased and a nice dude. and as long tru3 is like that he will get a lot of hate.
im not hating him but i can clearly say i dont like his behaviour when it comes to this game.
I mean, from what I'm reading, the conversation seems to be:
"You're obviously biased against Survivors."
"No I'm not. If you watched my stream, you'd know."
"You're closed-minded."
So...I dunno.

I dont hate him, i just dont like him.
I think he is really overratet and many people just say the things he say is true just because he says it.
Also from what i saw he is almost always so damn negative and his name is kinda arrogant for me.
Btw because the Leatherface point. It works, like you said because no one expects it.
But what do you think what happens if everyone plays like that and everyone knows and expect it then? Then he would be useless and bottom tier again.
EDIT: Also always his clickbait capslock title like:
,,THAT....JUST...HAPPENED!!!1"!"
,,ULTRAAAAA GOOOOD SURVIVUUUURS VS MY KILLAA"
and so one.
For me , thats a sign he just wants clicks etc.
I believe he has said that he deliberately makes his titles as clickbaity as possible to troll people who twist every little word he says. It's fairly similar to how former Smash Bros. pro ZeRo goes out of his way to make his titles/thumbnails as clickbaity as possible purely for the memes.

They two-pip and unlock Legacy skins for that character.

Notice how two Survivors don't have an escape icon, but they also don't have a dead icon or a disconnect icon.

This seems like it would make it much worse.
-
From the looks of the first screen, it would appear as though you disconnected from the game, either intentionally or otherwise, which would incur a temporary restriction on playing again.

My question is how good is doctor, not whether or not bad players are bad
He's strong, but as far as the whole "illusion" thing, that could also have something to do with your results.

Yellow/Green Ranks...are not the best players on either side, admittedly.

Moris and Keys are definitely not on the same level. Especially not Ebony Moris.
At best, I would equate keys with an Ivory which as someone stated above, still vastly sways a match, especially if used the way most people do where they just kinda proxy camp and tunnel whoever gets hooked first
Keys are also not a "free escape" because you have to find the hatch without being found by the killer if you're the last one left while racing against the clock.
In fact, I'd argue the ONLY time keys are really strong is when there's 1 gen left, 3 survivors, and the survivors can all communicate with each other. Outside of that, they key is only either helping the person who has it, or on occasion, maybe 2 people get out using it.
If keys get a nerf, they don't deserve to be nerfed as hard as Moris (and yes I play both sides)
Keys are fine when the last person uses them to escape (because by that point, the Killer already won) or when all four people use the Hatch after the gens are done (because it's not much different from just going through the gate). When multiple people escape through the Hatch before the gens are all done, it means that one side got a shortcut to the finish line with no additional work needed (no, someone else dying to make the hatch spawn is not additional work). Do I think keys are as strong as Ebony Moris? Not quite. Do I think they are still problematic in the same way as an Ebony Mori? Yes, since both have the same problem of reducing the threshold needed to win the game with no trade-off.
-
Hot take: Ivory Moris are a bit too strong too IMO. Just getting one person out of the game faster than intended is enough to really swing a match in a Killer's favor.
-
Ignoring the bloodpoints, BBQ. The cooldown makes Thrilling Tremors much less reliable IMO.
-
Pyramid Head has the same movement speed as most Killers, and all Killers have the same basic attack range.
-
I currently use it as a (admittedly not high-ranked) Survivor. Works well when paired with Kindred.

I imagine so. Being able to block the exit would be a powerful ability to have without it being a hex. That's just my own opinion, though.
It is almost completely worse than NOED, though (only being better than NOED in cases where the person would normally be able to crawl through the exit gate in the time it takes to complete the attack cooldown animation). It also still requires both the Killer and Survivor to play well in order to either make the most of it or play through it. I'm not sure that anything really ends up being broken/OP as a result.
-
Question: Would this need to still be a hex perk if this idea were implemented?

They took up unnecessary space in the bloodwebs. No clue why the moonlight offerings were removed though.
I believe the devs have said that it was very difficult trying to figure out how to properly light a stage while also taking into account offerings that could potentially push things too far in either direction if the base lighting isn't just right. It wasn't really worth the trouble and was easier to just remove.
-
There's a bug with the post-game screen either displaying the wrong killer power or listing one or more players as having no perks equipped.
-
No. If it did, it would say so.

Yeah, I think it's pretty bad, too.
I mean, I'd rather have it so that I need to kill someone that has the golden aura.
That'd be better, right?
This is sarcasm - This community is far too fragile for any real push/pull events :(
Could make it so Killer needs a certain number of hooks in order to obtain the crown.
-
I'm going to play my Survivor games as though I am trying to win the game while I get any crowns. That way, when I try to win while playing Killer, no one can accuse me of being a hypocrite. :)
-
I prefer just everyone getting it.
-
To me, this is a buff. Means that if I miss someone and accidentally hit the hooked survivor, I don't have as much cooldown.

And? I would rather not work and get it for free than work my butt off just to earn it a bit earlier than the rest.
I don't care either way. In the end, I already got the money, and it'd have been long enough that the fact that I had to work for it means nothing to me.

Bad comparison. It's not just ONE PERSON but the entire community who gets it for free. Imagine you work you ass off and get 10000 bucks. Imagine suddenly everyone gets 10000 for free. I would be pissed about that because I don't get another 10000 bucks while I worked my ass off.
At least make your examples logical correctly.
I wouldn't. By the time people get that 10k for free, I've already had that 10k for a while.

If were going that route we may as well mention that any person can now show up and have 1000 dollars. All of them. Not just one person a year later.
It's not someone WAITING a year to get it for free. It's something they werent eligible for that is now, a year later, being handed out.
Meaning the original one who worked, did it for nothing. And yet is supposed to care about false promises and future projects?
It just makes it even more of a slap in the face.
I'm okay with that. I still got that thousand bucks a while back that I blew on fast food and video games anyways.

The incentive to work and show interest, he means. Not the incentive to simply show up.
I mean, that second person got their thousand bucks over a year later, if we're going to make this an equivalent comparison. By that point, I see no reason to care.

I don't have the tamed donkey jacket. Wanna know why? Oh, yeah... they didn't give it to people.
They just gave away the event cosmetics today. Check your inventory.

Either way, you still have 1000 bucks.
